Daniel 11
1 “And I, in the first year of Darius the Mede, my standing [is] for a strengthener, and for a stronghold to him;
मादी दाराको पहिलो वर्षमा, म आफैं मिखाएलको मदत र सुरक्षा गर्न आएँ ।
2 and now, I declare to you truth: Behold, yet three kings are standing for Persia, and the fourth becomes far richer than all, and according to his strength by his riches he stirs up the whole, with the kingdom of Javan.
अब म तिमीलाई सत्य कुरा बताउँछु । फारसमा तिन जना राजा खडा हुनेछन्, र अरूभन्दा चौथोचाहिं धेरै धनी हुनेछ । आफ्नो धनदौलतबाट त्यसले शक्ति हासिल गरेपछि, त्यसले सबैलाई ग्रीस राज्यको विरुद्ध उत्तेजित गर्नेछ ।
3 And a mighty king has stood, and he has ruled a great dominion, and has done according to his will;
एक जना शक्तिशाली राजा खडा हुनेछन्, जसले धेरै विशाल राज्यमा शासन गर्नेछन्, र आफ्नै इच्छाअनुसार तिनले काम गर्नेछन् ।
4 and according to his standing is his kingdom broken, and divided to the four winds of the heavens, and not to his posterity, nor according to his dominion that he ruled, for his kingdom is plucked up—and for others apart from these.
तिनी खडा भएपछि, तिनको राज्य टुक्राटुक्रा हुनेछ र स्वर्गका चार बतासतिर त्यो विभाजित हुनेछ, तर तिनका आफ्नै वंशमा होइन, अनि तिनले राज्य गरिरहँदाको शक्तिले तिनको शक्तिले होइन । किनकि तिनको राज्य तिनको वंशको निम्ति नभएर अरूका निम्ति उखेलिनेछ ।
5 And a king of the south—even of his princes—becomes strong, and prevails against him, and has ruled; a great dominion [is] his dominion.
दक्षिणको राजा धेरै शक्तिशाली हुनेछन्, तर तिनका कमान्डरमध्ये एकजना तिनीभन्दा शक्तिशाली हुनेछ र आफ्नो राज्यलाई ठुलो शक्तिले शासन गर्नेछ ।
6 And at the end of years they join themselves together, and a daughter of the king of the south comes to the king of the north to do upright things; and she does not retain the power of the arm; and he does not stand, nor his arm; and she is given up, she, and those bringing her in, and her child, and he who is strengthening her in [these] times.
केही वर्षपछि, ठिक समयमा, तिनीहरूले मित्रता कायम गर्नेछन् । सम्झौता पक्का गर्नलाई दक्षिणको राजाकी छोरी उत्तरको राजाकहाँ जान्छिन् । तर तिनको आफ्नो हातको बल कायम राख्न सक्नेछैनन्, न त उनले वा उनको हातले नै सक्नेछन् । तिनी र तिनलाई ल्याउनेहरू र तिनका पिता र ती समयमा तिनको समर्थन गर्ने सबै त्यागिनेछन् ।
7 And [one] has stood up from a branch of her roots, [in] his station, and he comes to the bulwark, indeed, he comes into a stronghold of the king of the north, and has worked against them, and has done mightily;
तर तिनको ठाउँमा तिनका जराहरूबाट एउटा हाँगो पलाउनेछ । उनले उत्तरको राजाको सेनालाई आक्रमण गर्नेछन् र किल्लाभित्र प्रवेश गर्नेछन् । उनले तिनीहरूसित लडाइँ गर्नेछन् र तिनीहरूमाथि विजय पाउनेछन् ।
8 and also their gods, with their princes, with their desirable vessels of silver and gold, he brings in captivity [to] Egypt; and he stands more years than the king of the north.
उनले तिनीहरूका देवताहरू र तिनीहरूका ढलौटे फलामका मूर्तिहरू र सुन र चाँदीका बहुमुल्य भाँडाहरू मिश्रदेशमा लानेछन् । केही वर्षसम्म उनी उत्तरका राजाबाट टाढा रहनेछन् ।
9 And the king of the south has come into the kingdom, and turned back to his own land;
अनि उत्तरका राजाले दक्षिणको राजाको राज्यमाथि आक्रमण गर्नेछन्, तर तिनि आफ्नै देशमा फर्कनेछन् ।
10 and his sons stir themselves up, and have gathered a multitude of great forces, and he has certainly come in, and overflowed, and passed through, and he turns back, and they stir themselves up to his stronghold.
तिनका छोराहरू तयार हुनेछन् र ठुलो सेनालाई भेला गर्नेछन् । त्यो निरन्तर अघि बढ्नेछ र बाढीले झैं हरेक कुरा बगाउनेछ । सबैलाई जित्दै त्यो उसको किल्लासम्मै पुग्नेछ ।
11 And the king of the south becomes embittered, and has gone forth and fought with him, with the king of the north, and has caused a great multitude to stand, and the multitude has been given into his hand,
तब दक्षिणको राजा धेरै क्रुद्ध हुनेछन् । तिनी जानेछन् र उत्तरको राजाको विरुद्धमा लडाइ गर्नेछन् । उत्तरको राजाले एउटा ठुलो सेना खडा गर्नेछन्, तर त्यो सेनालाई दक्षिणको राजाको हातमा दिइनेछ ।
12 and he has carried away the multitude, his heart is high, and he has caused myriads to fall, and he does not become strong.
त्यो सेना लगिनेछ, र दक्षिणको राजाको हृदय घमण्डले फुल्नेछ, र तिनले दसौं हजारलाई मार्नेछन्, तर तिनी विजयी हुनेछैनन् ।
13 And the king of the north has turned back, and has caused a multitude to stand, greater than the first, and at the end of the times a second time he certainly comes in with a great force, and with much substance;
अनि उत्तरको राजाले पहिलेको धेरै भन्दा शक्तिशाली अर्को सेना खडा गर्नेछन् । केही वर्षपछि, उत्तरका राजा निश्चय नै शक्तिशाली सेनाका साथमा धेरै हतियारका साथमा आउनेछन् ।
14 and in those times many stand up against the king of the south, and sons of the destroyers of your people lift themselves up to establish the vision—and they have stumbled.
ती समयमा धेरै जना दक्षिणको राजाको विरुद्धमा खडा हुनेछन् । दर्शन पुरा गर्नलाई तिम्रा मानिसहरूका बिचमा भएका हिंसात्मक छोराहरूले आफैंलाई तयार पार्नेछन्, तर तिनीहरू ठेस खानेछन् ।
15 And the king of the north comes in, and pours out a mound, and has captured fortified cities; and the arms of the south do not stand, nor the people of his choice, indeed, there is no power to stand.
उत्तरका राजा आउनेछन्, र घेरा मचान बनाउनलाई माटो थुपार्नेछन् र पर्खालले घेरिएको सहरलाई कब्जा गर्नेछन् । दक्षिणको शक्ति टिक्न सक्नेछैन, तिनीहरूका सर्वोत्कृष्ट सेना पनि टिक्न सक्दैन । खडा हुने शक्ति हुनेछैन ।
16 And he who is coming to him does according to his will, and there is none standing before him; and he stands in the desirable land, and [it is] wholly in his hand.
बरु, आउनेले चाहिं आफ्नो इच्छा अनुसार उनको विरुद्ध व्यवहार गर्नेर्छन् । तिनको मार्गमा कोही खडा हुनेछैन । सुन्दरताको देशमा तिनी खडा हुनेछन्, र विनाश तिनको हातमा हुनेछ ।
17 And he sets his face to go in with the strength of his whole kingdom, and upright ones with him; and he has worked, and the daughter of women he gives to him, to corrupt her; and she does not stand, nor is for him.
उत्तरको राजा आफ्नो सम्पूर्ण राज्यको शक्तिमा आउने निर्णय गर्नेछन्, र तिनीसित सम्झौताको एउटा दस्तावेज हुनेछ जुन तिनले दक्षिणको राजासँग गर्नेछन् । दक्षिणको राज्यलाई खत्तम गर्न तिनले एउटी स्त्रीको छोरीलाई उनीसित विवाहमा गरिदिनेछन् । तर त्यो योजनाले तिनलाई सफल वा मदत हुनेछैन ।
18 And he turns back his face to the islands, and has captured many; and a prince has caused his reproach of himself to cease; without his reproach he turns [it] back to him.
यसपछि, उत्तरको राजाले समुद्रतटका देसहरूमा ध्यान लगाउनेछ र तीमध्ये धेरैलाई अधीन गर्नेछन् । तर एक जना कमान्डरले तिनको घमण्डको अन्त्य गर्नेछन् र तिनको घमण्डलाई तिनैकहाँ फर्काउनेछन् ।
19 And he turns back his face to the strongholds of his land, and has stumbled and fallen, and is not found.
तब तिनले आफ्नै देशका किल्लाहरूतर्फ ध्यान दिनेछन्, तर तिनी ठेस खानेछन् र त्यो ढल्नेछन् । तिनी फेरि भेट्टाइनेछैनन् ।
20 And stood up on his station has [one] causing an exactor to pass over the honor of the kingdom, and in a few days he is destroyed, and not in anger, nor in battle.
तब तिनको ठाउँमा अरू कोही एक जना खडा हुनेछन् जसले राज्यको वैभवको निम्ति एक जना कर उठाउनेलाई घुसपैट गर्न लगाउनेछन् । तर केही दिनमा कुनै रिस वा युद्धविना नै तिनी टुक्रा-टुक्रा पारिनेछन् ।
21 And a despicable one has stood up on his station, and they have not given to him the splendor of the kingdom, and he has come in quietly, and has strengthened the kingdom by flatteries.
तिनको ठाउँमा एक जना तुच्छ मानिस खडा हुनेछ जसलाई मानिसहरूले राजकीय शक्तिको सम्मान दिनेछैनन् । ऊ अचानक आउनेछ र छल गरेर उसले राज्यलाई कब्जा गर्नेछ ।
22 And the arms of the flood are overflowed from before him, and are broken; and also the leader of the covenant.
उसको सामु एउटा सेनालाई बाढीले झैं बगाउनेछ । करार सेना र अगुवा दुवै नष्ट हुनेछन् ।
23 And after they join themselves to him, he works deceit, and has increased, and has been strong by a few of the nation.
ऊसित मित्रता गरेको समयदेखि नै उसले छलपूर्ण ढङ्गले काम गर्नेछ । थोरै मानिसको साथमा पनि ऊ शक्तिशाली हुनेछ ।
24 Peaceably even into the fertile places of the province He comes, and he has done that which his fathers did not, nor his fathers’ fathers; prey, and spoil, and substance, he scatters to them, and against fortifications he devises his plans, even for a time.
कुनै चेतावनीविना नै ऊ प्रदेशको सबैभन्दा सम्वृद्ध ठाउँमा आउनेछ, र उसको बुबा वा हजुरबुबाले नगरेका काम त्यसले गर्नेछ । उसले लुटका सामान र धन-सम्पत्ति आफ्ना अनुयायीहरूसँग बाँड्नेछ । उसले किल्लाहरूलाई हटाउने योजना गर्नेछ, तर केही समयको लागि मात्र हुनेछ ।
25 And he stirs up his power and his heart against the king of the south with a great force, and the king of the south stirs himself up to battle with a very great and mighty force, and does not stand, for they devise plans against him,
ऊ आफ्नो शक्ति र हृदयसहित ठुलो सेनाको साथमा दक्षिणको राजाको विरुद्धमा उठ्नेछ । दक्षिणको राजाले ठुलो, र धेरै शक्तिशाली सेनासँग युद्ध गर्नेछ, तर तिनको विरुद्धमा अरूले षड्यन्त्र गरेको कारणले गर्दा तिनी टिक्नेछैनन् ।
26 and those eating his portion of food destroy him, and his force overflows, and many wounded have fallen.
तिनको मिठा भोजन खानेहरूले समेत तिनलाई नाश गर्न खोज्नेछन् । बाढीले झैं तिनका सेना बगाइनेछ, र तीमध्ये धेरै जना मारिनेछन् ।
27 And both of the kings’ hearts [are] to do evil, and at one table they speak lies, and it does not prosper, for yet the end [is] at a time appointed.
यी दुवै राजाहरू, आफ्नो हृदयमा एक-अर्काको विरुद्धमा दुष्टता लिएर, एउटै टेबिलमा बस्नेछन् र एक-अर्कालाई ढाँट्नेछन्, तर त्यो केही कामको हुनेछैन । किनभने तोकिएकै समयमा अन्त्य आउनेछ ।
28 And he turns back [to] his land with great substance, and his heart [is] against the holy covenant, and he has worked, and turned back to his land.
अनि उत्तरका राजा धेरै धनदौलत लिएर, आफ्नो हृदयलाई पवित्र करारको विरुद्धमा उठाएर आफ्नै देशमा फर्कनेछ । उसले त्यस्तै काम गर्नेछ र आफ्नै देशमा फर्कनेछ ।
29 At the appointed time he turns back, and has come against the south, and it is not as the former, and as the latter.
तोकिएको समयमा ऊ फर्कनेछ र दक्षिणको विरुद्धमा खडा हुनेछ । तर यस पटक पहिलाको झैं हुनेछैन ।
30 And ships of Chittim have come in against him, and he has been pained, and has turned back, and has been insolent toward the holy covenant, and has worked, and turned back, and he understands concerning those forsaking the holy covenant.
किनभने कित्तिमका जहाजहरू उसको विरुद्धमा आउनेछन्, र ऊ डराउनेछ र पछि हट्नेछ । त्यो पवित्र करारको विरुद्ध ऊ रिसले चूर हुनेछ, र पवित्र करारलाई त्याग्नेहरूलाई उसले समर्थन गर्नेछ ।
31 And strong ones stand up out of him, and have defiled the sanctuary, the stronghold, and have turned aside the continual [sacrifice], and appointed the desolating abomination.
उसको सैन्य-बल उठ्नेछ र पवित्र-स्थानका किल्लाहरूलाई अशुद्ध पार्नेछ । तिनीहरूले दैनिक होमबलि हटाउनेछन्, र तिनीहरूले घृणित थोक स्थापना गर्नेछन् जसले विनाश ल्याउनेछ ।
32 And those acting wickedly [against] the covenant, he defiles by flatteries; and the people knowing their God are strong, and have worked.
अनि करारको विरुद्धमा दुष्टतापूर्ण काम गर्नेहरूलाई उसले तिनलाई धोका दिनेछ र तिनलाई भ्रष्ट पार्नेछ । तर आफ्ना परमेश्वरलाई चिन्ने मानिसहरू बलियै हुनेछन् र सोअनुसार काम गर्नेछन् ।
33 And the teachers of the people give understanding to many; and they have stumbled by sword, and by flame, by captivity, and by spoil—days.
मानिसहरूमध्ये बुद्धिमान्ले धेरै जनालाई बुझाउनेछ । तर तरवार र आगोले तिनीहरू ढल्नेछन् । तिनीहरू कैदमा जानेछन् र धेरै दिनसम्म लुटिनेछन् ।
34 And in their stumbling, they are helped—a little help, and joined to them have been many with flatteries.
तिनीहरू ढलेका अवस्थामा, तिनीहरूलाई थोरै सहायता मिल्नेछ । कपट गरेर धेरै जनाले तिनीहरूसँग मिलाप गर्नेछन् ।
35 And some of the teachers stumble for refining by them, and for purifying, and for making white—until the end of the time, for [it is] yet for a time appointed.
बुद्धिमान्मध्ये कोही-कोहीले ठेस खानेछन्, जसले गर्दा तिनीहरू अन्तको समयसम्म खारिनेछन्, शुद्ध पारिनेछन्, र दागरहित हुनेछन् । किनभने तोकिएको समय आउन अझै बाँकी हुन्छ ।
36 And the king has done according to his will, and exalts himself, and magnifies himself against every god, and he speaks wonderful things against the God of gods, and has prospered until the indignation has been completed, for that which is determined has been done.
राजाले आफ्नो इच्छाहरूअनुसार काम गर्नेछ । उसले आफैंलाई उठाउनेछ र सारा देवहरूमाथि आफूलाई महान् बनाउनेछ । देवहरूका परमेश्वरको विरुद्धमा उसले आश्चर्यलाग्दा कुराहरू भन्नेछ, किनभने क्रोधको समय पूरा नभएसम्म ऊ सफल हुनेछ । किनभने जे आदेश दिइएको छ, त्यो पूरा भएरै छोड्नेछ ।
37 And to the God of his fathers he does not attend, nor to the desire of women, indeed, he does not attend to any god, for he magnifies himself against all.
आफ्ना पुर्खाका देवहरू वा स्त्रीहरूले रुचाएका देवप्रति पनि उसले ध्यान दिनेछैन । न त उसले अन्य देवहरूप्रति ध्यान दिनेछ । किनभने सबैभन्दा माथि उसले आफैंलाई महान् बनाउनेछ ।
38 And to the god of strongholds, on his station, he gives honor; indeed, to a god whom his fathers did not know he gives honor, with gold, and with silver, and with precious stone, and with desirable things.
यीभन्दा किल्लाहरूका देवलाई उसले सम्मान गर्नेछ । उसले पुर्खाहरूले नमान्ने देवलाई उसले सुन र चाँदी, र बहुमुल्य पत्थरहरू, अनि महत्त्वपूर्ण उपहारहरूले सम्मान गर्नेछ ।
39 And he has dealt in the fortresses of the strongholds with a strange god whom he has acknowledged; he multiplies honor, and has caused them to rule over many, and the ground he apportions at a price.
सबैभन्दा बलिया किल्लाहरूलाई उसले पराई देवको सहायताले आक्रमण गर्नेछ । उसका कुरा मान्ने हरेकलाई उसले धेरै सम्मान दिनेछ । उसले तिनीहरूलाई धेरै मानिसहरूका शासकहरू बनाउनेछ, र त्यो देशलाई उसले इनामको रूपमा विभाजन गर्नेछ ।
40 And at the time of the end, a king of the south pushes himself forward with him, and a king of the north storms against him, with chariot, and with horsemen, and with many ships; and he has come into the lands, and has overflowed, and passed over,
अन्त्यको समयमा, दक्षिणका राजाले आक्रमण गर्नेछन् । उत्तरको राजाले दक्षिणको राजाको विरुद्ध रथहरू र घोडचडीहरू, र धेरै जहाजहरूको साथमा आँधीझैं युद्ध गर्नेछ । ऊ धेरै देशहरूका विरुद्ध जानेछ, र तिनीहरूलाई बाढीले झैं बगाउनेछ र अगि बढ्नेछ ।
41 and has come into the desirable land, and many stumble, and these escape from his hand: Edom, and Moab, and the chief of the sons of Ammon.
ऊ सुन्दारताको देशमा जानेछ, र दशौं हजार इस्राएलीहरू मर्नेछन् । तर त्यसका हातबाटः एदोम, मोआब, र अम्मोनका मानिसमद्ये बाँकी रहेकाहरू उम्कनेछन् ।
42 And he sends forth his hand on the lands, and the land of Egypt is not for an escape;
उसले देशहरूमाथि आफ्नो अधिकार फैलाउनेछ । अनि मिश्रदेश बचाइनेछैन ।
43 and he has ruled over treasures of gold and of silver, and over all the desirable things of Egypt, and Lubim and Cushim [are] at his steps.
सुन र चाँदीका, र मिश्रदेशका सारा धन-सम्पत्तिमा उसले नियन्त्रण गर्नेछ । लिबियाली र कूशीहरू उसका पाउँमुनि हुनेछन् ।
44 And reports trouble him out of the east and out of the north, and he has gone forth in great fury to destroy, and to devote many to destruction;
तर पूर्व र उत्तरबाट आउने समाचारले उसलाई भयभीत बनाउनेछ, र पूर्ण रूपमा नाश गर्न र धेरैलाई विनाशको निम्ति अलग गर्न ऊ क्रोधित भएर जानेछ ।
45 and he plants the tents of his palace between the seas and the holy desirable mountain, and has come to his end, and there is no helper to him.”
उसले समुद्रहरू र पवित्रताको सुन्दरताको पर्वतको बिचमा आफ्नो राजकीय वासस्थानको पाल खडा गर्नेछ । उसको अन्त्य हुनेछ, र उसको निम्ति त्यहाँ सहायता गर्ने कोही पनि हुनेछैन ।
