Colossians 3
1 If, then, you were raised with the Christ, seek the things above, where the Christ is, seated on the right hand of God;
汝 等もしキリストと共に甦へらせられしならば、上にあるものを求めよ、キリスト彼處に在りて神の右に坐し給ふなり。
2 mind the things above, not the things on the earth,
汝ら上にあるものを念ひ、地に在るものを念ふな、
3 for you died, and your life has been hid with the Christ in God;
汝らは死にたる者にして、其の生命はキリストとともに神の中に隱れ在ればなり。
4 when the Christ—our life—may have appeared, then we will also appear with Him in glory.
我らの生命なるキリストの現れ給ふとき、汝らも之とともに榮光のうちに現れん。
5 Put to death, then, your members that [are] on the earth—whoredom, uncleanness, passion, evil desire, and the covetousness, which is idolatry—
されば地にある肢體、すなはち淫行・汚穢・情 慾・惡 慾・また慳貪を殺せ、慳貪は偶像 崇拜なり。
6 because of which things comes the anger of God on the sons of the disobedience,
神の怒は、これらの事によりて不 從順の子らに來るなり。
7 in which you also—you once walked, when you lived in them;
汝らもかかる人の中に日を送りし時は、これらの惡しき事に歩めり。
8 but now put off, even you, the whole—anger, wrath, malice, slander, filthy talking—out of your mouth.
されど今は凡て此 等のこと及び怒・憤恚・惡意を棄て、譏と恥づべき言とを汝らの口より棄てよ。
9 Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his practices,
互に虚言をいふな、汝らは既に舊き人とその行爲とを脱ぎて、
10 and having put on the new, which is renewed in regard to knowledge, after the image of Him who created him,
新しき人を著たればなり。この新しき人は、これを造り給ひしものの像に循ひ、いよいよ新になりて知識に至るなり。
11 where there is not Greek and Jew, circumcision and uncircumcision, foreigner, Scythian, servant, freeman, but Christ [is] all and in all.
かくてギリシヤ人とユダヤ人、割禮と無 割禮、あるひは夷狄、スクテヤ人・奴隷・自主の別ある事なし、それキリストは萬の物なり、萬のものの中にあり。
12 Put on, therefore, as chosen ones of God, holy and beloved, yearnings of mercies, kindness, humble-mindedness, meekness, long-suffering,
この故に汝らは神の選民にして聖なる者また愛せらるる者なれば、慈悲の心・仁慈・謙遜・柔和・寛容を著よ。
13 bearing with one another, and forgiving each other, if anyone may have a quarrel with anyone, as the Christ also forgave you—so also you;
また互に忍びあひ、若し人に責むべき事あらば互に恕せ、主の汝らを恕し給へる如く汝らも然すべし。
14 and above all these things, [have] love, which is a bond of the perfection,
凡て此 等のものの上に愛を加へよ、愛は徳を全うする帶なり。
15 and let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to which you were also called in one body, and become thankful.
キリストの平和をして汝らの心を掌どらしめよ、汝らの召されて一體となりたるはこれが爲なり、汝ら感謝の心を懷け。
16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing each other, in psalms, and hymns, and spiritual songs, in grace singing in your hearts to the LORD;
キリストの言をして豐に汝らの衷に住ましめ、凡ての知慧によりて、詩と讃美と靈の歌とをもて、互に教へ互に訓戒し、恩惠に感じて心のうちに神を讃美せよ。
17 and all, whatever you may do in word or in work, [do] all things in the Name of the Lord Jesus—giving thanks to the God and Father, through Him.
また爲す所の凡ての事、あるひは言あるひは行爲、みな主イエスの名に頼りて爲し、彼によりて父なる神に感謝せよ。
18 The wives: be subject to your own husbands, as is fit in the LORD;
妻たる者よ、その夫に服へ、これ主にある者のなすべき事なり。
19 the husbands: love your wives, and do not be bitter with them;
夫たる者よ、その妻を愛せよ、苦をもて之を待ふな。
20 the children: obey the parents in all things, for this is well-pleasing to the LORD;
子たる者よ、凡ての事みな兩親に順へ、これ主の喜びたまふ所なり。
21 the fathers: do not distress your children, lest they be discouraged;
父たる者よ、汝らの子供を怒らすな、或は落膽することあらん。
22 the servants: obey those who are masters in all things according to the flesh, not in eye-service as men-pleasers, but in simplicity of heart, fearing God;
僕たる者よ、凡ての事みな肉につける主人にしたがへ、人を喜ばする者の如く、ただ眼の前の事のみを勤めず、主を畏れ、眞心をもて從へ。
23 and all, whatever you may do—out of soul work—as to the LORD, and not to men,
汝ら何事をなすにも人に事ふる如くせず、主に事ふる如く心より行へ。
24 having known that you will receive the repayment of the inheritance from the LORD—for you serve the LORD Christ;
汝らは主より報として嗣業を受くることを知ればなり。汝らは主キリストに事ふる者なり。
25 and he who is doing unrighteously will receive what he did unrighteously, and there is no favor by appearance.
不義を行ふ者はその不義の報を受けん、主は偏り視 給ふことなし。
