Amos 7
1 Thus Lord YHWH has showed me, and behold, He is forming locusts at the beginning of the ascending of the latter growth, and behold, the latter growth [is] after the mowings of the king [[or King Gog]];
परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले मलाई यो कुरा देखाउनुभयो । हेर, बसन्त ऋतुको बाली मौलाउनै लाग्दा, उहाँले सलहको बथान तयार गर्नुभयो, अनि हेर, योचाहिं राजाको कटनी पछिको बाली थियो ।
2 and it has come to pass, when it has finished to consume the herb of the land, that I say, “Lord YHWH, please forgive, How does Jacob arise—for he [is] small?”
जब तिनीहरूले भूमिको बालीनाली खाएर सके, अनि त्यसपछि मैले भनें, “परमप्रभु परमेश्वर, कृपया क्षमा गर्नुहोस् । याकूब कसरी बाँच्नेछ? किनकि त्यो त धेरै सानो छ ।”
3 YHWH has relented of this, “It will not be,” said YHWH.
परमप्रभु यस विषयमा नरम हुनुभयो । उहाँले भन्नुभयो, “यस्तो हुनेछैन ।”
4 Thus has Lord YHWH showed me, and behold, Lord YHWH is calling to contend by the fire, and it consumes the great deep, indeed, it has consumed the portion, and I say,
अनि परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले मलाई यस्तो देखाउनुभयोः हेर, परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले न्याय गर्नलाई आगो बोलाउनुभयो । त्यसले पृथ्वीमुनिको गहिरो विशाल पानीलाई सुकायो र त्यसले जमिनलाई पनि भष्म पार्न सक्थ्यो ।
5 “Lord YHWH, please cease, How does Jacob arise—for he [is] small?”
तर मैले भनें, “परमप्रभु परमेश्वर, कृपया रोक्नुहोस् । याकूब कसरी बाँच्नेछ? किनकि त्यो त धेरै सानो छ ।”
6 YHWH has relented of this, “It also will not be,” said Lord YHWH.
परमप्रभु यस विषयमा नरम हुनुभयो । परमप्रभु परमेश्वरले भन्नुभयो, “यो पनि हुनेछैन ।”
7 Thus has He showed me, and behold, the Lord is standing by a wall [made according to] a plumb-line, and in His hand a plumb-line;
उहाँले मलाई यो कुरा देखाउनुभयोः हेर, परमप्रभु हातमा साहुल लिएर एउटा पर्खालको छेउमा उभिनुभयो ।
8 and YHWH says to me, “What are you seeing, Amos?” And I say, “A plumb-line”; and the Lord says: “Behold, I am setting a plumb-line in the midst of My people Israel, I no longer pass over to it.
परमप्रभुले मलाई भन्नुभयो, “आमोस, तैंले के देखिस्?” मैले भनें, “एउटा साहुल ।” परमप्रभुले भन्नुभयो, “हेर, इस्राएलका मेरा मानिसहरूका बिचमा म एउटा साहुल राख्नेछु । म तिनीहरूलाई अब बाँकी छोड्नेछैनँ ।
9 And high places of Isaac have been desolated, And sanctuaries of Israel are dried up, And I have risen against the house of Jeroboam with a sword.”
इसहाकका उच्च ठाउँहरू नष्ट पारिनेछन्, इस्राएलका पवित्र स्थानहरू तहस-नहस पारिनेछन्, र म तरवार लिएर यारोबामको घरानाको विरुद्ध खडा हुनेछु ।”
10 And Amaziah priest of Beth-El sends to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel; the land is not able to bear all his words,
तब बेथेलका पुजारी अमस्याहले इस्राएलका राजा यारोबामलाई यो सन्देश पठाएः “इस्राएलको घरानाको बिचमा आमोसले तपाईंको विरुद्धमा षड्यन्त्र रचेको छ । यस देशले त्यसका सबै बोली सहन सक्दैन ।
11 for thus said Amos: Jeroboam dies by sword, And Israel certainly removes from off its land.”
किनकि आमोसले यसो भन्यो, ‘यारोबाम तरवारद्वारा मर्नेछ, र इस्राएल निश्चय नै आफ्नो देशबाट टाढा निर्वासनमा जानेछ ।’”
12 And Amaziah says to Amos, “Seer, go, flee to the land of Judah for yourself, and eat bread there, and there you prophesy;
अमस्याहले आमोसलाई भने, “ए दर्शी, दौडेर यहूदाको देशमा जाऊ, र त्यहाँ रोटी खाऊ अनि अगमवाणी गर ।
13 and no longer prophesy [at] Beth-El anymore, for it [is] the king’s sanctuary, and it [is] the royal house.”
तर यहाँ बेथेलमा अरू धेरै अगमवाणी नगर, किनकि यो राजाको पवित्र-स्थान र एउटा राजकीय घराना हो ।”
14 And Amos answers and says to Amaziah, “I [am] no prophet, nor [am] I a prophet’s son, but I [am] a herdsman, and a cultivator of sycamores,
अनि आमोसले अमस्याहलाई भने, “म अगमवक्ता होइनँ, न त अगमवक्ताका छोरा हुँ । म त एउटा गोठालो हुँ, र म त अन्जीरका रूखहरूको रेखदेख गर्छु ।
15 and YHWH takes me from after the flock, and YHWH says to me, Go, prophesy to My people Israel.
तर परमप्रभुले मलाई बगालको हेरचाह गर्नबाट पर लानुभयो र मलाई भन्नुभयो, ‘जा, मेरा मानिस, इस्राएलको निम्ति अगमवाणी गर ।’
16 And now, hear a word of YHWH: You are saying, Do not prophesy against Israel, nor drop [anything] against the house of Isaac,
अब परमप्रभुको वचन सुन । तिमी भन्छौ, ‘इस्राएलको विरुद्धमा अगमवाणी नगर, र इसहाकको घरानाको विरुद्धमा नबोल ।’
17 therefore, thus said YHWH: Your wife goes whoring in the city, And your sons and your daughters fall by sword, And your land is apportioned by line, And you die on an unclean land, And Israel certainly removes from off its land.”
यसकारण परमप्रभु यसो भन्नुहुन्छ, ‘तेरी पत्नी सहरमा वेश्या हुनेछे, तेरा छोराहरू र तेरा छोरीहरू तरवारद्वारा मारिनेछन्, तेरो देश नापिनेछ र विभाजन गरिनेछ, तँ एउटा अशुद्ध देशमा मर्नेछस्, र इस्राएल निश्चय नै आफ्नो देशबाट निर्वासनमा जानेछ ।’”
