Acts 1
1 The former account, indeed, I made concerning all things, O Theophilus, that Jesus began both to do and to teach,
Eu fiz o primeiro livro, ó Teófilo, sobre todas as coisas que Jesus começou, tanto a fazer como a ensinar;
2 until the day in which, having given command through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom He chose out, He was taken up,
Até o dia em que ele foi recebido acima, depois de pelo Espírito Santo ter dado mandamentos aos apóstolos que tinha escolhido;
3 to whom He also presented Himself alive after His suffering, in many certain proofs, being seen by them through forty days, and speaking the things concerning the Kingdom of God.
Aos quais também, depois de ter sofrido, apresentou-se vivo com muitas evidências; sendo visto por eles durante quarenta dias, e falando [-lhes] das coisas relativas ao reino de Deus.
4 And being assembled together with them, He commanded them not to depart from Jerusalem, but to wait for the promise of the Father, “Which you heard from Me;
E, reunindo-os, mandou-lhes que não saíssem de Jerusalém, mas que esperassem a promessa do Pai que (disse ele) de mim ouvistes.
5 because John, indeed, immersed in water, but you will be immersed in the Holy Spirit not many days after these.”
Porque João batizou com água, mas vós sereis batizados com o Espírito Santo, não muitos dias depois destes.
6 They, therefore, indeed, having come together, were questioning Him, saying, “Lord, do You at this time restore the kingdom to Israel?”
Então aqueles que tinham se reunido lhe perguntaram, dizendo: Senhor, tu restaurarás neste tempo o Reino a Israel?
7 And He said to them, “It is not yours to know times or seasons that the Father appointed in His own authority;
E ele lhes disse: Não pertence a vós saber os tempos ou estações que o Pai pôs em sua própria autoridade.
8 but you will receive power at the coming of the Holy Spirit on you, and you will be witnesses for Me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.”
Mas vós recebereis poder do Espírito Santo, que virá sobre vós; e vós sereis minhas testemunhas, tanto em Jerusalém como em toda a Judeia, e Samaria, e até ao último [lugar] da terra.
9 And having said these things—they beholding—He was taken up, and a cloud received Him up from their sight;
E tendo ele dito estas coisas, enquanto eles o viam, ele foi levantado acima, e uma nuvem o tirou dos olhos deles.
10 and as they were looking steadfastly to the sky in His going on, then, behold, two men stood by them in white clothing,
E enquanto eles estavam com os olhos fixos ao céu, depois dele ter ido, eis que dois homens de roupas brancas se puseram junto a eles;
11 who also said, “Men, Galileans, why do you stand gazing into the sky? This Jesus who was received up from you into Heaven, will so come in what manner you saw Him going on to Heaven.”
Os quais também disseram: Homens galileus, por que estais olhando para o céu? Este Jesus, que foi tomado de vós acima ao céu, assim virá, da maneira como o vistes ir ao céu.
12 Then they returned to Jerusalem from [that] called the Mount of Olives, that is near Jerusalem, a Sabbath’s journey;
Então eles voltaram a Jerusalém do monte que se chama das Oliveiras, o qual está perto de Jerusalém [à distância] de um caminho de sábado.
13 and when they came in, they went up into the upper room, where were abiding both Peter, and James, and John, and Andrew, Philip, and Thomas, Bartholomew, and Matthew, James, of Alphaeus, and Simon the Zealot, and Judas, of James;
E ao entrarem, subiram ao cômodo superior, onde ficaram Pedro, Tiago, João, André, Filipe, Tomé, Bartolomeu, Mateus, Tiago [filho] de Alfeu, Simão Zelote e Judas [irmão] de Tiago.
14 these were all continuing with one accord in prayer and supplication, with women, and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with His brothers.
Todos estes perseveravam concordando em orações, e petições, com as mulheres, com Maria a mãe de Jesus, e com os irmãos dele.
15 And in these days, Peter having risen up in the midst of the disciples, said (also the multitude of the names at the same place was, as it were, one hundred and twenty),
E em [algum d] aqueles dias, havendo uma multidão reunida de cerca de cento e vinte pessoas, Pedro se levantou no meio dos discípulos e disse:
16 “Men, brothers, it was necessary [for] this Writing to be fulfilled that the Holy Spirit spoke beforehand through the mouth of David, concerning Judas, who became guide to those who took Jesus,
Homens irmãos, era necessário que se cumprisse a Escritura, que o Espírito Santo, por meio da boca de Davi, predisse quanto a Judas, que foi o guia daqueles que prenderam a Jesus.
17 because he was numbered among us, and received the share in this ministry.
Porque ele foi contado conosco, e obteve uma porção neste ministério.
18 (This one, indeed, then, purchased a field out of the reward of unrighteousness, and falling headlong, burst apart in the midst, and all his bowels gushed forth,
Este pois, adquiriu um campo por meio do pagamento da maldade, e tendo caído de cabeça para baixo, partiu-se ao meio, e todos os seus órgãos internos caíram para fora.
19 and it became known to all those dwelling in Jerusalem, insomuch that this place is called, in their proper dialect, Aceldama, that is, Field of Blood.)
E [isso] foi conhecido por todos os que habitam em Jerusalém, de maneira que aquele campo se chama em sua própria língua Aceldama, isto é, campo de sangue.
20 For it has been written in [the] Scroll of Psalms: Let his lodging-place become desolate, and let no one be dwelling in it, and let another take his oversight.
Porque está escrito no livro dos Salmos: Sua habitação se faça deserta, e não haja quem nela habite; e outro tome seu trabalho de supervisão.
21 It is necessary, therefore, of the men who went with us during all the time in which the Lord Jesus went in and went out among us,
Portanto é necessário, que dos homens que nos acompanharam todo o tempo em que o Senhor Jesus entrava e saía conosco,
22 beginning from the immersion of John, to the day in which He was received up from us, one of these to become with us a witness of His resurrection.”
Começando desde o batismo de João, até o dia em que [diante] de nós ele foi recebido acima, se faça um destes testemunha conosco de sua ressurreição.
23 And they set two, Joseph called Barsabas, who was surnamed Justus, and Matthias,
E apresentaram dois: a José, chamado Barsabás, que tinha por sobrenome [o] Justo; e a Matias.
24 and having prayed, they said, “You, LORD, who are knowing the heart of all, show which one You chose of these two,
E orando, disseram: Tu, Senhor, conhecedor dos corações de todos, mostra a qual destes dois tu tens escolhido.
25 to receive the share of this ministry and apostleship, from which Judas, by transgression, fell, to go on to his proper place”;
Para que ele tome parte deste ministério e apostolado, do qual Judas se desviou para ir a seu próprio lugar.
26 and they gave their lots, and the lot fell on Matthias, and he was numbered with the eleven apostles.
E lançaram-lhes as sortes; e caiu a sorte sobre Matias. E ele [passou] a ser contado junto com os onze apóstolos.
