< Acts 5 >

1 And a certain man, Ananias by name, with his wife Sapphira, sold a possession,
Muntu yumu yawamshema Ananiya na mdala gwakuwi Safira wawuziti lirambu lyawu viravi.
2 and kept back of the price—his wife also knowing—and having brought a certain part, he laid [it] at the feet of the apostles.
Kumbiti, mdala gwakuwi pakawera kavimana, Ananiya kalitulila seemu ya mpiya zyakazipatiti na seemu imonga ilii kawayupiti wantumintumi.
3 And Peter said, “Ananias, why did Satan fill your heart, for you to lie to the Holy Spirit, and to keep back of the price of the place?
4 While it remained, did it not remain yours? And having been sold, was it not in your authority? Why [is] it that you put this thing in your heart? You did not lie to men, but to God”;
Pamberi pa kuliwuza liweriti lyaku na paguliwuziti kala, isigala mpiya azi ziweriti zaku guzitumii ntambu yagufira. Toziya gaa, gwamuwiti mmoyu mwaku kutenda shitwatira sha ntambu ayi? Gumzyanga ndiri muntu, Gumzyanga Mlungu!”
5 and Ananias hearing these words, having fallen down, expired, and great fear came on all who heard these things,
Ananiya, pakapikaniriti aga kaguwa pasi, kahowa. Wantu woseri wapikiniriti shisoweru sha lilawiru ali watiriti nentu.
6 and having risen, the younger men wound him up, and having carried forth, they buried [him].
Wandemba wasoka, wayigibikira njimba yakuwi, wamlaviya kunja, wamsira.
7 And it came to pass, about three hours after, that his wife, not knowing what has happened, came in,
Pa shipindi sha masaa matatu hangu, mdala gwakuwi, pota kuvimana shitwatira shilawiriti, kingira mngati amu.
8 and Peter answered her, “Tell me if for so much you sold the place”; and she said, “Yes, for so much.”
Peteru kamgambira, “Gung'ambiri! Hashi, shiyasi ashi sha mpiya ndo shampatiti kwa kuwuza lirambu lilii?” Yomberi kankula, “Yina, ndo sheni ashi”
9 And Peter said to her, “How was it agreed by you to tempt the Spirit of the LORD? Behold, the feet of those who buried your husband [are] at the door, and they will carry you forth”;
Yomberi Peteru kamgambira, “Mbona mtenda mpangu kumjera Rohu gwa Mtuwa? Gupikiniri! Walii wantu wagenditi kumusira mpalu gwaku, vinu wapanu pamlyangu na wankukutola gwenga viraa.”
10 and immediately she fell down at his feet, and expired, and the young men having come in, found her dead, and having carried forth, they buried [her] by her husband;
Vumu Safila kaguwa kulongolu kwa magulu ga Peteru, kahowa. Wandemba walii pawingiriti, wamwoniti kahowa kala, hangu wamlaviya kunja, wamsira pakwegera na mpalu gwakuwi.
11 and great fear came on all the Assembly, and on all who heard these things.
Shipinga shoseri sha wantu yawamjimira Yesu pamuhera na woseri yawapikaniriti shisoweru sha vitwatira avi, watiriti nentu.
12 And through the hands of the apostles came many signs and wonders among the people, and they were all with one accord in the porch of Solomon;
13 and of the rest no one was daring to join himself to them, but the people were magnifying them,
Muntu yoseri gwingi yakaweriti ndiri muumini kajeriti ndiri kuwera pamhera na womberi. Ata hangu, wantu wamonga yawawera ndiri na njimiru ayi wawazyuma.
14 (and the more were believers added to the LORD, multitudes of both men and women),
15 so as to bring forth the ailing into the broad places, and to lay [them] on beds and pallets, that at the coming of Peter, even [his] shadow might overshadow someone of them;
16 and there were also coming together the people of the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, carrying ailing persons, and those harassed by unclean spirits—who were all healed.
17 And having risen, the chief priest, and all those with him—being the sect of the Sadducees—were filled with zeal,
Shakapanu mtambika mkulu na wayaguwi yawaweriti pamuhera na shipinga sha Masadukayu, wawera na weya.
18 and laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in a public prison;
19 but through the night a messenger of the LORD opened the doors of the prison, having also brought them forth, he said,
Kumbiti pashiru ntumintumi gwa kumpindi gwa Mtuwa kayivuguliti milyangu ya shibetubetu, kawalaviya kunja, kawagambira,
20 “Go on, and standing, speak in the temple to the people all the sayings of this life”;
“Mgendi mkagoloki Mnumba nkulu ya Mlungu na kuwagambira wantu kila shintu kuusu makaliru aga gasyayi.”
21 and having heard, they entered into the temple at the dawn, and were teaching. And the chief priest having come, and those with him, they called together the Sanhedrin and all the Senate of the sons of Israel, and they sent to the prison to have them brought,
Wantumintumi wajimiriti, wingira Mnumba nkulu ya Mlungu mandawira putiputi, wanja kufunda. Mtambika mkulu na wayaguwi pawasokiti, washemiti mkutanu gwa shizyungu shikulu, ndo shipinga sha wazewi wa Wayawudi, shakapanu wawatuma wantu mushibetubetu wawajegi wantumintumi walii.
22 and the officers having come, did not find them in the prison, and having turned back, they told,
Kumbiti wakulu awa pawasokiti aku wawawona ndiri mshibetubetu mlii. Hangu wawuyiti, wawagambira mumkutanu,
23 saying, “We indeed found the prison shut in all safety, and the keepers standing outside before the doors, and having opened—we found no one within.”
Pawatakula, “Tuwoniti shibetubetu shitatwa kila uwega na walolera wankulolera milyangu. Kumbiti patuvuguliti tumwona ndiri muntu yoseri mngati.”
24 And as the priest, and the magistrate of the temple, and the chief priests, heard these words, they were doubting concerning them to what this would come;
25 and coming near, a certain one told them, saying, “Behold, the men whom you put in the prison are in the temple standing and teaching the people”;
Kiza muntu yumu, kawagambira, “wantu walii yamuwatatiriti mshibetubetu, vinu wamunumba nkulu ya Mlungu, wankufunda wantu.”
26 then the magistrate having gone away with officers, brought them without violence, for they were fearing the people, lest they should be stoned;
27 and having brought them, they set [them] in the Sanhedrin, and the chief priest questioned them,
Su wawajega, wawagolisiya kulongolu kushizyungu, Mtambika Mkulu kawagambira,
28 saying, “Did we not strictly command you not to teach in this Name? And behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching, and you intend to bring on us the blood of this Man.”
“Tuwaberiti paweru kufunda kwa litawu lya muntu ayu, vinu mweneza mafunda genu poseri Muyerusalemu na mupanga kututulira lawama ya kuhowa kwa muntu ayu.”
29 And Peter and the apostles answering, said, “It is required to obey God, rather than men;
Panu Peteru, kiwiti pamwera na walii ntumintumi wamonga, kankula, “Mpaka tumjimiri Mlungu, muntu ndiri.
30 and the God of our fathers raised up Jesus, whom you slew, having hanged on a tree;
Mlungu gwa mbuyi gwetu kamzyukisiyiti Yesu pa mwenga kumlaga kwa kumpingika mlupingika.
31 this One, God, a Prince and a Savior, has exalted with His right hand, to give conversion to Israel, and forgiveness of sins;
32 and we are His witnesses of these sayings, and the Holy Spirit also, whom God gave to those obeying Him.”
Twenga ndo wakapitawu wa lilawiru ali, yomberi Rohu Mnanagala ndo yomberi Mlungu kawayupa walii wawamjimira, wankupitaulira vira lilawiru ali.”
33 And they having heard, were cut [to the heart], and were intending to slay them,
34 but a certain one, having risen up in the Sanhedrin—a Pharisee, by name Gamaliel, a teacher of law honored by all the people—commanded to put the apostles forth a little,
Kumbiti Mfalisayu yumu yawamshema Gamalieli mweni kaweriti mfunda gwa Malagaliru na yakapananitwi ligoya nentu kulongolu kwa wantu woseri, kagolokiti kulongolu kushizyungu kulii, kafiriti ntumintumi walii walaviwi kunja katepu.
35 and said to them, “Men, Israelites, take heed to yourselves about these men, what you are about to do,
Shakapanu kawagambira wajumbi walii wa shizyungu, “Walushi lwa Israeli, shondi pamberi pa kutenda ashi shamfira kuwatenda wantu awa!
36 for before these days Theudas rose up, saying that he was someone, to whom a number of men joined themselves, as it were four hundred, who was slain, and all, as many as were obeying him, were scattered, and came to nothing.
Makashu shididini, kulawiriti muntu yumu litawu lyakuwi Teuda, kalitakulira kuwera muntu gwa mana na wantu pakwegera na miya mhanu walijegiti pamhera na yomberi, kumbiti wamlagiti, shakapanu wandundami wakuwi woseri wapalanganika na shipinga shakuwi shifuwa.
37 After this one, Judas the Galilean rose up, in the days of the census, and drew away people after him, and that one perished, and all, as many as were obeying him, were scattered;
Kayi, shakapanu, shipindi shilii sha kuwalangwa wantu, kalawiriti Yuda gwa Galilaya. Ayu na yomberi kwawakwegiti wantu wamfata, Kumbiti na yomberi wamlagiti, na wandundami wakuwi wapalanganikiti.
38 and now I say to you, refrain from these men, and leave them alone, because if this counsel or this work may be of men, it will be overthrown,
Na vinu viraa neni nuwagambira kotukuwatendera shintu shoseri wantu awa, muwalekiziyi! Toziya, payiwera shitendu ashi shawu shanjishwa na muntu, hashiwuki sheni.
39 and if it be of God, you are not able to overthrow it, lest perhaps you are also found fighting against God.”
Kumbiti handa shanjishwa na Mlungu, hera ndiri handa hapeni muwezi kuwakanga, su hamliwoni mmulema Mlungu.”
40 And to him they agreed, and having called near the apostles, having beaten [them], they commanded [them] not to speak in the Name of Jesus, and let them go;
Su wawashema ntumintumi walii, waamuwa wasyatagwi viboku na kuwaberiziya nawafunda kayi kwa litawu lya Yesu, shakapanu wawaleka wagendi zawu.
41 they, indeed, then, departed from the presence of the Sanhedrin, rejoicing that for His Name they were counted worthy to suffer dishonor,
Su, ntumintumi walawa kunja kushizyungu pawamema nemeru, toziya wafiruwiti kusoniziwa kwajili ya litawu lya Yesu.
42 also every day in the temple, and in every house, they were not ceasing teaching and proclaiming good news—Jesus the Christ.
