< Acts 4 >

1 And as they are speaking to the people, there came to them the priests, and the magistrate of the temple, and the Sadducees—
Bí wọn sì tí ń bá àwọn ènìyàn sọ̀rọ̀, àwọn àlùfáà àti olórí ẹ̀ṣọ́ tẹmpili àti àwọn Sadusi dìde sí wọn.
2 being grieved because of their teaching the people, and preaching in Jesus the resurrection out of the dead—
Inú bí wọn, nítorí tí wọn kọ́ àwọn ènìyàn, wọ́n sì ń wàásù àjíǹde kúrò nínú òkú nínú Jesu.
3 and they laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was evening already;
Wọn sì nawọ́ mú wọn, wọn sì tì wọ́n mọ́ ilé túbú títí ó fi dí ọjọ́ kejì; nítorí tí alẹ́ ti lẹ́ tan.
4 and many of those hearing the word believed, and the number of the men became, as it were, five thousand.
Ṣùgbọ́n ọ̀pọ̀ àwọn tí ó gbọ́ ọ̀rọ̀ náà gbàgbọ́; iye àwọn ọkùnrin náà sì tó ẹgbẹ̀rún márùn-ún.
5 And it came to pass the next day, there were gathered together of them the rulers, and elders, and scribes, to Jerusalem,
Ó sì ṣe ní ọjọ́ kejì, àwọn olórí wọn àti àwọn alàgbà àti àwọn olùkọ́ni ní òfin péjọ sí Jerusalẹmu.
6 and Annas the chief priest, and Caiaphas, and John, and Alexander, and as many as were of the family of the chief priest,
Àti Annasi olórí àlùfáà, àti Kaiafa, àti Johanu, àti Aleksanderu, àti iye àwọn tí i ṣe ìbátan olórí àlùfáà.
7 and having set them in the midst, they were inquiring, “In what power, or in what name did you do this?”
Wọ́n mú Peteru àti Johanu dúró níwájú wọn, wọ́n sì bẹ̀rẹ̀ sí béèrè ìbéèrè lọ́wọ́ wọn pé, “Nípa agbára tàbí orúkọ wo ni ẹ̀yin fi ṣe èyí?”
8 Then Peter, having been filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them: “Rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
Nígbà náà ni Peteru kún fún Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́, ó sì wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ̀yin olórí àti ẹ̀yin alàgbà àwọn ènìyàn!
9 if we are examined today concerning the good deed to the ailing man, by whom he has been saved,
Bí ó bá ṣe pé a ń wádìí wa lónìí ní tí iṣẹ́ rere ti a ṣe lára abirùn náà, bí a ti ṣe mú ọkùnrin yìí láradá,
10 be it known to all of you, and to all the people of Israel, that in the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised out of the dead, in Him has this one stood by before you whole.
kí èyí yé gbogbo yín àti gbogbo ènìyàn Israẹli pé, ni orúkọ Jesu Kristi ti Nasareti, tí ẹ̀yin kàn mọ́ àgbélébùú, tí Ọlọ́run jí dìde kúrò nínú òkú, nípa rẹ̀ ni ọkùnrin yìí fi dúró níwájú yín ni ara dídá-ṣáṣá.
11 This is the stone that was set at nothing by you—the builders, that became head of a corner;
Èyí ni “‘òkúta tí a ti ọwọ́ ẹ̀yin ọ̀mọ̀lé kọ̀sílẹ̀, tí ó sì di pàtàkì igun ilé.’
12 and there is not salvation in any other, for there is no other name under Heaven that has been given among men, in which it is required of us to be saved.”
Kò sì sí ìgbàlà lọ́dọ̀ ẹlòmíràn; nítorí kò sí orúkọ mìíràn lábẹ́ ọ̀run ti a fi fún ni nínú ènìyàn, nípa èyí tí a lè fi gbà wá là.”
13 And beholding the openness of Peter and John, and having perceived that they are illiterate men and commoners, they were wondering—they were also taking knowledge of them that they had been with Jesus—
Nígbà tí wọ́n sì kíyèsi ìgboyà Peteru àti Johanu, tí wọ́n mọ̀ pé, aláìkẹ́kọ̀ọ́ àti òpè ènìyàn ni wọn, ẹnu yà wọ́n, wọ́n sì wòye pé, wọ́n ti ń bá Jesu gbé.
14 and seeing the man standing with them who has been healed, they had nothing to say against [it],
Nígbà tí wọ́n sì ń wo ọkùnrin náà tí a mú láradá, tí ó bá wọn dúró, wọn kò rí nǹkan wí sí i.
15 and having commanded them to go away out of the Sanhedrin, they took counsel with one another,
Ṣùgbọ́n nígbà tí wọ́n sì ti pàṣẹ pé kí wọn jáde kúrò ní ìgbìmọ̀, wọ́n bá ara wọn gbèrò.
16 saying, “What will we do to these men? Because that, indeed, a notable sign has been done through them [is] apparent to all those dwelling in Jerusalem, and we are not able to deny [it];
Wí pé, “Kí ni a ó ṣe sí àwọn ọkùnrin wọ̀nyí? Ní ti pé iṣẹ́ àmì tí ó dájú tí ọwọ́ wọn ṣe, ó hàn gbangba fún gbogbo àwọn tí ń gbé Jerusalẹmu; àwa kò sì lè sẹ́ èyí.
17 but that it may spread no further toward the people, let us strictly threaten them to no longer speak in this Name to any man.”
Ṣùgbọ́n kí ó má ba à tànkálẹ̀ síwájú mọ́ láàrín àwọn ènìyàn, ẹ jẹ́ kí a kìlọ̀ fún wọn pé, láti ìsinsin yìí lọ kí wọn má ṣe fi orúkọ yìí sọ̀rọ̀ sí ẹnikẹ́ni mọ́.”
18 And having called them, they charged them not to speak at all, nor to teach, in the Name of Jesus,
Wọ́n sì pè wọ́n, wọ́n pàṣẹ fún wọn, kí wọn má ṣe sọ̀rọ̀ tàbí kọ́ni rárá mọ́ ní orúkọ Jesu.
19 and Peter and John answering to them said, “Whether it is righteous before God to listen to you rather than to God, judge;
Ṣùgbọ́n Peteru àti Johanu dáhùn, wọ́n sì wí fún wọn pé, “Bí ó bá tọ́ lójú Ọlọ́run láti gbọ́ tiyín ju ti Ọlọ́run lọ ẹ gbà á rò.
20 for we cannot but speak what we saw and heard.”
Àwa kò lè ṣàìmá sọ ohun tí àwa ń rí, tí a sì ti gbọ́.”
21 And they having further threatened [them], let them go, finding no way how they may punish them, because of the people, because all were glorifying God for that which has been done,
Nígbà tí wọ́n sì kìlọ̀ fún wọn sí i, wọn fi wọ́n sílẹ̀ lọ, nígbà tí wọn kò ì tí ì rí nǹkan tí wọn ìbá fi jẹ wọ́n ní ìyà, nítorí àwọn ènìyàn; nítorí gbogbo wọn ni wọ́n yin Ọlọ́run lógo fún ohun tí ó ṣe.
22 for above forty years of age was the man on whom had been done this sign of the healing.
Nítorí ọkùnrin náà lára ẹni tí a ṣe iṣẹ́ àmì ìmúláradá, ju ẹni ogójì ọdún lọ.
23 And being let go, they went to their own friends, and declared whatever the chief priests and the elders said to them,
Nígbà tí wọ́n sì ti fi wọ́n sílẹ̀ wọ́n lọ sọ́dọ̀ àwọn ẹlẹgbẹ́ wọn, wọ́n sì ròyìn ohun gbogbo tí àwọn olórí àlùfáà àti àwọn alàgbà sọ fún wọn.
24 and they having heard, lifted up the voice to God with one accord and said, “LORD, You [are] God, who made the heaven, and the earth, and the sea, and all that [are] in them,
Nígbà tí wọ́n sì gbọ́, wọ́n fi ọkàn kan gbé ohùn wọn sókè sí Ọlọ́run, wọ́n sì wí pé, “Olúwa Olódùmarè, ìwọ tí ó dá ọ̀run àti ayé, òkun, àti ohun gbogbo tí ń bẹ nínú wọn.
25 who, through the mouth of Your servant David, said, Why did nations rage, and peoples meditate vain things?
Ìwọ nípa Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ tí ó ti ẹnu Dafidi baba wa ìránṣẹ́ rẹ̀ wí pé: “‘E é ṣe tí àwọn kèfèrí fi ń bínú, àti tí àwọn ènìyàn ń gbèrò ohun asán?
26 The kings of the earth stood up, and the rulers were gathered together against the LORD and against His Christ;
Àwọn ọba ayé dìde, àti àwọn ìjòyè kó ara wọn jọ sí Olúwa, àti sí ẹni àmì òróró rẹ̀.’
27 for gathered together of a truth against Your holy child Jesus, whom You anointed, were both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with nations and peoples of Israel,

29 And now, LORD, look on their threatenings, and grant to Your servants to speak Your word with all freedom,

30 in the stretching forth of Your hand, for healing, and signs, and wonders, to come to pass through the Name of Your holy child Jesus.”
Kí ìwọ sì fi nína ọwọ́ rẹ ṣe ìmúláradá, àti kí iṣẹ́ ìyanu máa ṣẹ̀ ní orúkọ Jesu ìránṣẹ́ mímọ́ rẹ.”
31 And they having prayed, the place was shaken in which they were gathered together, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and were speaking the word of God with freedom,
Nígbà tí wọ́n gbàdúrà tan, ibi tí wọ́n gbé péjọpọ̀ sí mì tìtì; gbogbo wọn sì kún fún Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́, wọ́n sì ń fi ìgboyà sọ ọ̀rọ̀ Ọlọ́run.
32 and of the multitude of those who believed, the heart and the soul were one, and not one was saying that anything of the things he had was his own, but all things were in common to them.
Ìjọ àwọn tí ó gbàgbọ́ sì wà ní ọkàn kan àti inú kan; kò sì ṣí ẹnìkan tí ó wí pé ohun kan nínú ohun ìní rẹ̀ jẹ́ ti ara rẹ̀; ṣùgbọ́n gbogbo wọn ní ohun gbogbo ní ìṣọ̀kan.
33 And with great power the apostles were giving the testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, great grace was also on them all,
Agbára ńlá ni àwọn aposteli sì fi ń jẹ́rìí àjíǹde Jesu Olúwa, oore-ọ̀fẹ́ púpọ̀ sì wà lórí gbogbo wọn.
34 for there was not anyone among them who lacked, for as many as were possessors of fields, or houses, selling [them], were bringing the prices of the thing sold,
Nítorí kò sí ẹnìkan nínú wọn tí ó ṣe aláìní, nítorí iye àwọn tí ó ní ilẹ̀ tàbí ilé tà wọ́n, wọ́n sì mú owó ohun tí wọn tà wá.
35 and were laying them at the feet of the apostles, and distribution was being made to each according as anyone had need.
Wọ́n sì fi í lélẹ̀ lẹ́sẹ̀ àwọn aposteli, wọn sì ń pín fún olúkúlùkù gẹ́gẹ́ bí ó ti ṣe aláìní sí.
36 And Joses, who was surnamed by the apostles Barnabas—which is, having been interpreted, Son of Comfort—a Levite, of Cyprus by birth,
Àti Josẹfu, tí a ti ọwọ́ àwọn aposteli sọ àpèlé rẹ̀ ní Barnaba (ìtumọ̀ èyí tí ń jẹ ọmọ ìtùnú), ẹ̀yà Lefi, àti ará Saipurọsi.
37 a field being his, having sold [it], brought the money and laid [it] at the feet of the apostles.
Ó ní ilẹ̀ kan, ó tà á, ó mú owó rẹ̀ wá, ó sì fi í lélẹ̀ lẹ́sẹ̀ àwọn aposteli.
