Acts 20
1 And after the ceasing of the tumult, Paul having called near the disciples, and having embraced [them], went forth to go on to Macedonia;
Nígbà tí ariwo náà sí rọlẹ̀, Paulu ránṣẹ́ pe àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn, ó sì gbà wọ́n ní ìyànjú, ó dágbére fún wọn, ó dìde láti lọ sí Makedonia.
2 and having gone through those parts, and having exhorted them with many words, he came to Greece;
Nígbà tí ó sì tí la apá ìhà wọ̀nyí kọjá, tí ó sì ti fi ọ̀rọ̀ púpọ̀ gbà wọ́n ní ìyànjú, ó wá sí ilẹ̀ Giriki.
3 and having continued three months—a counsel of the Jews having been against him—being about to set forth to Syria, there came [to him] a resolution of returning through Macedonia.
Ó sì dúró níbẹ̀ ní oṣù mẹ́ta, nígbà tí àwọn Júù sì dènà dè é, bí ó ti ń pète àti bá ọkọ̀ ojú omi lọ sí Siria, ó pinnu rẹ̀ láti gbà Makedonia padà lọ.
4 And there were accompanying him to Asia, Sopater of Pyrrhus from Berea, and of Thessalonians Aristarchus and Secundus, and Gaius of Derbe, and Timotheus, and of Asians Tychicus and Trophimus;
Sopateru ará Berea ọmọ Pirusi sì bá a lọ dé Asia, àti nínú àwọn ará Tẹsalonika, Aristarku àti Sekundu, àti Gaiusi ará Dabe, àti Timotiu; Tikiku àti Tirofimu ará Asia.
5 these, having gone before, remained for us in Troas,
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn wọ̀nyí tí lọ síwájú, wọ́n dúró dè wá ni Troasi.
6 and we sailed, after the days of the Unleavened [Bread], from Philippi, and came to them to Troas in five days, where we abided seven days.
Àwa sì ṣíkọ̀ láti Filipi lọ lẹ́yìn àjọ àìwúkàrà, a sì dé ọ̀dọ̀ wọn ní Troasi ni ọjọ́ méje.
7 And on the first [day] of the weeks, the disciples having been gathered together to break bread, Paul was discoursing to them, about to depart on the next day, he was also continuing the discourse until midnight,
Ọjọ́ èkínní ọ̀sẹ̀ nígbà tí àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn péjọ láti bu àkàrà, Paulu sì wàásù fún wọn, ó múra láti lọ ní ọjọ́ kejì: ó sì fa ọ̀rọ̀ rẹ̀ gùn títí di àárín ọ̀gànjọ́.
8 and there were many lamps in the upper chamber where they were gathered together,
Fìtílà púpọ̀ sì wà ní iyàrá òkè náà, níbi tí wọn gbé péjọ sí.
9 and there a certain youth was sitting, by name Eutychus, on the window—being borne down by a deep sleep, Paul discoursing long—he having sunk down from the sleep, fell down from the third story, and was lifted up dead.
Ọ̀dọ́mọkùnrin kan tí a ń pè ní Eutiku sì jókòó lójú fèrèsé, oorun sì wọ̀ ọ́ lára; bí Paulu sì ti pẹ́ ní ìwàásù, ó ta gbọ̀nọ́ngbọ̀nọ́n lójú oorun, ó ṣubú láti òkè kẹta wá sílẹ̀, a sì gbé e dìde ní òkú.
10 And Paul, having gone down, fell on him, and having embraced [him], said, “Make no tumult, for his life is in him”;
Nígbà tí Paulu sì sọ̀kalẹ̀, ó bẹ̀rẹ̀ tì i, ó sì gbé e mọ́ra, ó ní, “Ẹ má ṣe yọ ara yín lẹ́nu; nítorí tí òun wà láààyè.”
11 and having come up, and having broken bread, and having tasted, for a long time also having talked—until daylight, so he went forth,
Nígbà tí ó sì tún gòkè lọ, ó sì jẹ oúnjẹ Olúwa, ó sì sọ̀rọ̀ pẹ́ títí ó fi di àfẹ̀mọ́júmọ́, nígbà náà ni ó sì lọ.
12 and they brought up the boy alive, and were comforted in no ordinary measure.
Wọ́n sì mú ọmọkùnrin náà lọ sílẹ̀ láààyè, inú gbogbo wọn sì dùn lọ́pọ̀lọ́pọ̀.
13 And we having gone before to the ship, sailed to Assos, there intending to take in Paul, for so he had arranged, intending himself to go on foot;
Nígbà ti àwa sì ṣáájú, àwa sì ṣíkọ̀ lọ sì Asosi, níbẹ̀ ni a ti lérò láti gba Paulu sínú ọkọ̀: nítorí bẹ́ẹ̀ ni ó tí pinnu rẹ̀, òun tìkára rẹ̀ ń fẹ́ bá ti ọ̀nà-ẹsẹ̀ lọ.
14 and when he met with us at Assos, having taken him up, we came to Mitylene,
Nígbà tí ó sì pàdé wa ní Asosi, a gbà á sínú ọkọ̀, a sì wá sí Miletu.
15 and there having sailed, on the next day we came opposite Chios, and the next day we arrived at Samos, and having remained in Trogyllium, on the following day we came to Miletus,
Nígbà tí a sì ṣíkọ̀ kúrò níbẹ̀, ní ọjọ́ kejì a dé ọ̀kánkán Kiosi; ní ọjọ́ kejì rẹ̀ a dé Samosi, ni ọjọ́ kejì rẹ̀ a sì dé Miletu.
16 for Paul decided to sail past Ephesus, that there may not be to him a loss of time in Asia, for he was hurrying, if it were possible for him, to be at Jerusalem on the day of the Pentecost.
Paulu ṣa ti pinnu rẹ̀ láti bá ọkọ̀ ojú omi kọjá sí Efesu, nítorí ki ó má ba à lo àkókò kankan ni Asia: nítorí tí ó ń yára bí yóò ṣe ṣe é ṣe fún un láti wà ní Jerusalẹmu lọ́jọ́ Pentikosti.
17 And from Miletus, having sent to Ephesus, he called for the elders of the assembly,
Ní àti Miletu ni Paulu ti ránṣẹ́ sí Efesu, láti pé àwọn alàgbà ìjọ wá sọ́dọ̀ rẹ̀.
18 and when they were come to him, he said to them, “You know from the first day in which I came to Asia, how I was with you at all times;
Nígbà tí wọ́n sì dé ọ̀dọ̀ rẹ̀, ó wí fún wọn pé, “Ẹ̀yin tìkára yín mọ̀, láti ọjọ́ kìn-ín-ní tí mo tí dé Asia, bí mo ti bá yín gbé, ní gbogbo àkókò náà.
19 serving the LORD with all humility, and many tears, and temptations, that befell me in the counsels of the Jews against [me];
Bí mo ti ń fi ìrẹ̀lẹ̀ inú gbogbo sin Olúwa, àti omijé púpọ̀, pẹ̀lú ìdánwò, tí ó bá mi, nípa rìkíṣí àwọn Júù.
20 how I kept back nothing of what things are profitable, not to declare to you, and to teach you publicly, and in every house,
Bí èmí kò ti fàsẹ́yìn láti sọ ohunkóhun tí ó ṣàǹfààní fún un yín, àti láti máa kọ́ ọ yín ní gbangba àti láti ilé dé ilé.
21 testifying fully both to Jews and Greeks, conversion toward God, and faith toward our Lord Jesus Christ.
Tí mo ń sọ fún àwọn Júù, àti fún àwọn Giriki pẹ̀lú, ní ti ìrònúpìwàdà sí Ọlọ́run, àti ti ìgbàgbọ́ nínú Jesu Kristi Olúwa wa.
22 And now, behold, I—bound in the Spirit—go on to Jerusalem, not knowing the things that will befall me in it,
“Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí, wò ó, ẹ̀mí mi ń fà sì Jerusalẹmu, láìmọ̀ ohun tí yóò bá mi níbẹ̀.
23 except that the Holy Spirit fully testifies in every city, saying that bonds and tribulations remain for me;
Bí kò ṣe bí Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ tí ń sọ ní ìlú gbogbo pé, ìdè àti ìyà ń bẹ fún mi.
24 but I make account of none of these, neither do I count my life precious to myself, so that I finish my course with joy, and the ministry that I received from the Lord Jesus, to fully testify [to] the good news of the grace of God.
Ṣùgbọ́n èmi kò ka ọkàn mi sí nǹkan rárá bi ohun tí ó ṣọ̀wọ́n fún mi àti iṣẹ́ ìránṣẹ́ tí mo tí gbà lọ́dọ̀ Jesu Olúwa, láti máa ròyìn ìyìnrere oore-ọ̀fẹ́ Ọlọ́run.
25 And now, behold, I have known that you will no longer see my face, among all you [to] whom I went preaching the Kingdom of God;
“Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí, wò ó, èmi mọ̀ pé gbogbo yín, láàrín ẹni tí èmi tí ń wàásù ìjọba Ọlọ́run, kì yóò rí ojú mi mọ́.
26 for this reason I take you to witness this day, that I [am] clear from the blood of all,
Nítorí náà mo pè yín ṣe ẹlẹ́rìí lónìí yìí pé, ọrùn mi mọ́ kúrò nínú ẹ̀jẹ̀ ènìyàn gbogbo.
27 for I did not keep back from declaring to you all the counsel of God.
Nítorí tí èmi kò fàsẹ́yìn láti sọ gbogbo ìpinnu Ọlọ́run fún un yin.
28 Take heed, therefore, to yourselves, and to all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit made you overseers, to feed the Assembly of God that He acquired through His own blood,
Ẹ kíyèsára yin, àti sí gbogbo agbo tí Ẹ̀mí Mímọ́ fi yín ṣe alábojútó rẹ̀, láti máa tọ́jú ìjọ Ọlọ́run, tí ó tí fi ẹ̀jẹ̀ rẹ̀ rà.
29 for I have known this, that there will enter in, after my departing, grievous wolves to you, not sparing the flock,
Nítorí tí èmi mọ̀ pé, lẹ́yìn lílọ mi, ìkookò búburú yóò wọ àárín yín, yóò sì tú agbo ká.
30 and there will arise men of your own selves, speaking perverse things, to draw away the disciples after them.
Láàrín ẹ̀yin tìkára yín ni àwọn ènìyàn yóò sì dìde, tí wọn yóò máa sọ̀rọ̀-òdì, láti fa àwọn ọmọ-ẹ̀yìn sẹ́yìn wọn.
31 Therefore, watch, remembering that three years, night and day, I did not cease with tears warning each one;
Nítorí náà ẹ máa ṣọ́ra, ki ẹ sì máa rántí pé, fún ọdún mẹ́ta, èmi kò dẹ́kun láti máa fi omijé kìlọ̀ fún olúkúlùkù ní ọ̀sán àti ní òru.
32 and now, I commend you, brothers, to God, and to the word of His grace, that is able to build up, and to give you an inheritance among all those sanctified.
“Ǹjẹ́ nísinsin yìí, ará, mo fi yín lé Ọlọ́run lọ́wọ́ àti ọ̀rọ̀ oore-ọ̀fẹ́ rẹ̀, tí ó lè gbé yín dúró, tí ó sì lè fún yín ní ìní láàrín gbogbo àwọn tí a sọ di mímọ́.
33 I coveted the silver or gold or clothing of no one;
Èmí kò ṣe ojúkòkòrò fàdákà, tàbí wúrà, tàbí aṣọ ẹnikẹ́ni.
34 and you yourselves know that to my necessities, and to those who were with me, these hands ministered;
Ẹ̀yin tìkára yín sá à mọ̀ pé, ọwọ́ mi wọ̀nyí ni mo fi ṣiṣẹ́ láti fi pèsè fún àìní mi, àti tí àwọn tí ó wà pẹ̀lú mi.
35 I showed you all things, that, thus laboring, it is necessary to partake with the ailing, to also be mindful of the words of the Lord Jesus, that He Himself said: It is more blessed to give than to receive.”
Nínú ohun gbogbo mo fi àpẹẹrẹ fún un yín pé, nípa ṣíṣe iṣẹ́ bẹ́ẹ̀, ó yẹ kí ẹ máa ran àwọn aláìlera lọ́wọ́, ki ẹ sì máa rántí ọ̀rọ̀ Jesu Olúwa, bí òun tìkára rẹ̀ tí wí pé, ‘Láti fún ni ní ìbùkún ju láti gbà lọ.’”
36 And having said these things, having bowed his knees, with them all, he prayed,
Nígbà tí ó sì tí wí nǹkan wọ̀nyí, ó kúnlẹ̀, ó sì bá gbogbo wọn gbàdúrà.
37 and there came a great weeping to all, and having fallen on the neck of Paul, they were kissing him,
Gbogbo wọn sì sọkún gidigidi, wọ́n sì rọ̀ mọ́ Paulu lọ́rùn, wọ́n sì fi ẹnu kò ó lẹ́nu.
38 sorrowing most of all for the word that he had said—that they are about to see his face no longer; and they were accompanying him to the ship.
