< Acts 2 >
1 And in the day of the Pentecost being fulfilled, they were all with one accord at the same place,
Yavile ifikhe esikhu iya Pendekosti, woni vale pupaninye.
2 and there came suddenly out of the sky a sound as of a violent rushing wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting,
Gafula gukhahumila umungulumo ukhuhuma khukianya ndimepu ing'ali. Gukhadincha inyumba yoni avakhale muvale vatamile.
3 and there appeared to them divided tongues, as it were of fire; it also sat on each one of them,
Apo n'chikhava khumila indimi, wita ndimi ncha mwoto nchigavanyikhe, nchikhava mukhwanya muwene khela yomo.
4 and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and began to speak with other tongues, according as the Spirit was giving them to declare.
Voni vakhadenchiwa nu Mepo Umbalan'che vakhatengula ukhun'chova khun'chovele inchige, ndu Mepo uveava vekhile van'chovage.
5 And there were Jews dwelling in Jerusalem, devout men from every nation of those under the heaven,
Lenu vakhalipwo avayahudi avakhatamaga khu Yelusalemu, avikhuginia Unguluve, ukhuhuma khela khelunga pasi khukhianya.
6 and the rumor of this having come, the multitude came together, and was confounded, because they were, each one, hearing them speaking in his proper dialect,
Ingurumo inchi vonchipolekhiwa, ilikundi lia vanu likhincha pupaninye wakha nu wasiwasi ukhuva khila munu avapulikhe vovin'cho khunjovele ya mwene.
7 and they were all amazed, and wondered, saying to one another, “Behold, are not all these who are speaking Galileans?
vasitwikhe nu khudegiwa, avene vakhanchova, “Lweli, ava voni avin'chova sio Wagalilaya?
8 And how do we hear, each in our proper dialect, in which we were born?
Khikhi ufwe tukhuvapulikha, khela yumo khunchove n'chin'cho tutoliwe inon'cho?
9 Parthians, and Medes, and Elamites, and those dwelling in Mesopotamia, in Judea also, and Cappadocia, Pontus, and Asia,
Waparthia na Wamedi na Waelamu, navo vitama Mesopotamia, khu Vuyahudi, na Kapedokia, na khu Ponto na Asia,
10 Phrygia also, and Pamphylia, Egypt, and the parts of Libya that [are] along Cyrene, and the strangers of Rome, both Jews and proselytes,

11 Cretes and Arabians, we heard them speaking the great things of God in our tongues.”
Wayahudi na waongofu, Wakrete na Waarabu, tukhuvapulihin'cha vovinchovaa khun'chovele ncheto ukhuhusu imbombo ya vuweso wa Nguluve.”
12 And they were all amazed, and were in doubt, saying to one another, “What would this wish to be?”
Voni vale nu vuduwaa nukhuchanganyikhiwa; valikhon'chovana vavo khwa vavo, “Iyi yilinama makhi?”
13 And others mocking said, “They are full of sweet wine”;
Lino avange vabedile vakhata ava vanywile vagalile.”
14 and Peter having stood up with the Eleven, lifted up his voice and declared to them: “Men—Jews, and all those dwelling in Jerusalem! Let this be known to you, and listen to my sayings,
Ila uPetro aemile paninie na wala kumi na moja, akhajova navo, “Avanu va Yudea mwevoni yumwe mtama apo pa Yelusalemu, ili lijulikhane khuliumwe, mpulikhin'che vunonu amamenyu gango.
15 for these are not drunken, as you take it up, for it is the third hour of the day.
Awanu ava savagalile nduvu musagela, imisekhe gia panavusikhu saa tatu.
16 But this is that which has been spoken through the prophet Joel:
Lino ili lilikhunchoviwa ukhugendela khwa nabii Yoeli:
17 And it will be in the last days, says God, I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh, And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, And your young men will see visions, And your old men will dream dreams;
Yuyiva khusikhu incha mwisyo; Unguluve ita, yuniduda Inumbula yango khuvanu voni. Avana venye na avakhenja vinyo, vihumia uvunabii, avadimi venyo vikhugavona amaono, navasehe vinyo yuvigogwa injosi.
18 And also on My menservants, and on My maidservants, In those days, I will pour out of My Spirit, And they will prophesy;
Vulevule avavombi vango na vavombi vango avakhenja khusikhu incho, niduda Inumbula yango, wope yuvitabiri.
19 And I will give wonders in the sky above, And signs on the earth beneath—Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke,
Yunivonesya maajabu khukyanya ni ishara pasi pakhilunga, ukhisa, umwoto, na mafusho ga liosi.
20 The sun will be turned to darkness, And the moon to blood, Before the coming of the Day of the LORD—the great and conspicuous;
Nilinchuva libadelesiwa ukhuva hisi nu mwenchi gyiva ikhisa, vubadu sayin'chile esikhu imbaha iya ajabu iya Ntwa.
21 And it will be, everyone who, if he may have called on the Name of the LORD, will be saved.
yuyiva ukhuta khila munu uwikhulilangelo ilitawa li Ntwa ikhokha.'
22 Men, Israelites! Hear these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man approved of God among you by mighty works, and wonders, and signs, that God did through Him in the midst of you, according as also you yourselves have known,
Mwiva va Israeli, pulihincha amamenyu aga: Yesu wa Nazareti, munu uvyatambuliwe nu Nguluve khuliumwe khumbombo iyivombiwa na maajabu, uguigendela Unguluve pagati paliumwe, umwe yumwe mulumanyile-
23 this One, by the determinate counsel and foreknowledge of God, being given out, having been taken by lawless hands, having been crucified—you slew,
Ulwakhuva upango kwatenguliwe pakhwanja na malifwa ga Nguluve, ahumen'chiwa numwe, khumavokho ga vanu avawafu, mwasulubisye nu khubuda,
24 whom God raised up, having loosed the travails of death, because it was not possible for Him to be held by it;
uvingave Unguluve amwinuile, akhavuhen'cha uluvavo ulwakhufua khumwene, ukhuva sayawesakhanaga khumwene ukhumilikhiwa nuwa.
25 for David says in regard to Him: I foresaw the LORD always before me—Because He is on my right hand—That I may not be moved;
Ewo uDaudi in'chova ukhuhusu yuywa, 'Nambwene Untwa lweli khuvulongolo khumiho gango, umwene mwale mukhevokho khango ikhakhudia leno sanikhegelen'chiwa.
26 Because of this was my heart cheered, And my tongue was glad, And yet—my flesh will also rest on hope,
Leno inumbula yango ya howikhe na lulimi lwango. Lwahuvokhilwe nagumbili gwango gutama vononu.
27 Because You will not leave my soul to Hades, Nor will You give Your Holy One to see corruption; (Hadēs )
Sukhayelekhe inafsi yango yelute khuvufwe, tena yokhanduhusu umwedekhi vakho ukhulola uvuvolile. (Hadēs )
28 You made known to me ways of life, You will fill me with joy with Your countenance.
Uve unyaminisye une injila ya wumi; vukhumbomba nedige uluhovokho khuvulongolo khumiho gakho.'
29 Men, brothers! It is permitted to speak with freedom to you concerning the patriarch David, that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is among us to this day;
Lukolo lwango, niwesya ukhun'chova khuliumwe khumakha ukhuhusu dada veto Daudi: umwene afyule akhasyeliwe, nilikabuli lya mwene lili paninie nufwe ipakha elelo.
30 therefore, being a prophet, and knowing that God swore to him with an oath, out of the fruit of his loins, according to the flesh, to raise up the Christ, to sit on his throne,
Ewo, ale imbombi alumanyile ukhuta Unguluve ambekhile lweli khuvuyelweli wa mwene, ukhuta ivekha yumo mumbuhon'chi wa mwene khukhikiti khya milele.
31 having foreseen, he spoke concerning the resurrection of the Christ, that His soul was not left to Hades, nor did His flesh see corruption. (Hadēs )
Aliwene ili imbivi nakhan'chova ukhuhusu ukhun'chukha khwa Klisto, 'salekhiwa wafuile, na gumbele gwa mwene sagwalekhiwe ukhovola.' (Hadēs )
32 God raised up this Jesus, of which we are all witnesses;
Uyu uYesu - Unguluve afufule, ufue twivoni tulivasaidi.
33 then having been exalted at the right hand of God—also having received the promise of the Holy Spirit from the Father—He poured forth this which you now see and hear;
Lenu, vuinuliwe mukhevokho ikha khindia ikha Nguluve, wapokhile iahadi ya Mepo Umbalan'che ukhuhuma khwa Dada, umwene amimine iahadi, yeyo umwe mwilola nu khupulikha.
34 for David did not go up into the heavens, and he says himself: The LORD says to my Lord, Sit at My right hand,
Kkhekhi uDaudi saayoge ukhuluta khukyanya, lino inchova, 'DADA an'chovile khwa Dada wango,
35 Until I make Your enemies Your footstool;
“tama khivokho khyango khya khundio, ipakha upukhe vanivomba ava aduvi wakho khigoda khumalunde gakho.
36 assuredly, therefore, let all the house of Israel know that God made Him both Lord and Christ—this Jesus whom you crucified.”
Lino inyumba yoni iya Isirahili nayelumanye khwaleli ukhuta Unguluve ambombile umwene ukhuva Vitwa na viKelesto, uyu Yesu yuywa mwasulubisie.”
37 And having heard, they were pricked to the heart; they also say to Peter and to the rest of the apostles, “What will we do, men, brothers?”
Linu vuvapulikhe ago vakhanyiwa munumbula n'chavo, vakhambula uPetulo na vamitume avange, “Lokolo, tugakhendeti?”
38 And Peter said to them, “Convert, and each of you be immersed on the Name of Jesus Christ, for forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit,
Nu Petulo akhavavula, “Mupele na Mwon'chiwe, khila munu vunyo, khulitawa ilya Yesu Kilesto ukhuva musyekheliwa imbivi n'chenyo, na mupokhela izawadi Umepo Umbalan'che.
39 for the promise is to you and to your children, and to all those far off, as many as the LORD our God will call.”
Lweli iye ahadi na khuvana venyo na vala voni avalikhutali, avanu vingi Untwa Unguluve veto upukhiva ikhuvilanga.”
40 Also with many more other words he was testifying and exhorting, saying, “Be saved from this perverse generation”;
Khumamenyu mingi avavulile nukhuvadova; akhajova, “Mwiyokhole muhume mukhizazi ihi ikhinangi.”
41 then those, indeed, who gladly received his word were immersed, and there were added on that day, as it were, three thousand souls,
Puva khagapokhela amamenyu gamwene vakhongesekha khusikhu iyo avanu elufu tatu.
42 and they were continuing steadfastly in the teaching of the apostles, and the fellowship, and the breaking of the bread, and the prayers.
Vakhendelela khu mafundisyo aga mitume vale pupaninie, pakhumenyula ukhate na pakhwisaya.
43 And fear came on every soul, also many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles,
Hofu ikhin'cha mugati, na maajabu mingi ne ishara nchikhavombekha ukhumela khu mitume.
44 and all those believing were at the same place, and had all things common,
Voni avaamini vale paninie ni finu fyavene pupaninie,
45 and they were selling the possessions and the goods, and were parting them to all, according as anyone had need.
na vagun'chin'che ifinu fya vene nu khugavania khuvoni ukhukongana numu ikhiinogwa.
46 Also continuing daily with one accord in the temple, also breaking bread at every house, they were partaking of food in gladness and simplicity of heart,
Ewo isikhu baada ya sikhu vaendelile vakhava nililengo limo khutembile, puva menyula ukate mu kaya, ikhyakhulya khuluhovokho nuvunyenyekhefu wa munumbula;
47 praising God, and having favor with all the people, and the LORD was adding those being saved every day to the Assembly.
vasifile Unguluve na vakhava nikhibali avanu woni. Untwa akhavaongelen'cha sikhu khwa sikhu vala vavo valikhokholiwa.
