Acts 12
1 And about that time, Herod the king put forth his hands to do evil to certain of those of the Assembly,
Karon mahitungod niadtong panahona ang Hari nga si Herodes nangdapat niadtong uban nga gikan sa katilingban aron dagmalan sila.
2 and he killed James, the brother of John, with the sword,
Iyang gipatay si Santiago nga igsoon nga lalaki ni Juan pinaagi sa espada.
3 and having seen that it is pleasing to the Jews, he added to lay hold of Peter also—and they were the days of the Unleavened [Bread]—
Pagkahuman nakita niya nga nakapahimuot kini sa mga Judio, nagpadayon siya sa pagdakop usab kang Pedro. Mao kana ang panahon sa mga adlaw sa pan nga walay patubo.
4 whom also having seized, he put in prison, having delivered [him] to four squads of four soldiers to guard him, intending to bring him forth to the people after the Passover.
Pagkahuman ug dakop kaniya, gibutang niya siya sa bilanggoan ug nagtagana ug upat ka han-ay sa mga sundalo aron magbantay kaniya; iyang tuyo nga siya dad-on sa katawhan pagkahuman sa Pagsaylo.
5 Peter, therefore, indeed, was kept in the prison, and fervent prayer was being made by the Assembly to God for him,
Busa si Pedro nagpabilin didto sa bilanggoan, apan ang mga pag-ampo inubanan sa pagkugi gihimo sa katilingban ngadto sa Dios alang kaniya.
6 and when Herod was about to bring him forth, the same night was Peter sleeping between two soldiers, having been bound with two chains, guards were also keeping the prison before the door,
Sa wala pa ang adlaw nga pagadad-on siya ni Herodes sa gawas, nianang kagabhi-on natulog si Pedro tunga sa duha ka mga sundalo, nga gigapos ug duha ka kadena; ug ang mga guwardiya naa sa atubangan sa pultahan nga nagbantay sa bilanggoan.
7 and behold, a messenger of the LORD stood by, and a light shone in the buildings, and having struck Peter on the side, he raised him up, saying, “Rise in haste,” and his chains fell from off [his] hands.
Tan-awa, usa ka anghel sa Ginoo sa kalit nagpakita kaniya, ug ang kahayag midan-ag sa silda. Gihampak niya si Pedro sa kiliran ug gipukaw siya ug miingon, “Bangon ug dali.” Unya ang mga kadena nangatangtang gikan sa iyang mga kamot.
8 The messenger also said to him, “Gird yourself, and bind on your sandals”; and he did so; and he says to him, “Cast your garment around and follow me”;
Ang anghel miingon kaniya, “Panapot ug suota ang imong mga sandalyas.” Gibuhat kini ni Pedro. Ang anghel miingon kaniya, “Sul-oba ang imong kupo ug sunod kanako.”
9 and having gone forth, he was following him, and he did not know that it is true that which is done through the messenger, and was thinking he saw a vision,
Busa si Pedro misunod sa anghel ug migawas. Siya wala masayod nga unsa ang gihimo sa anghel tinuod gayod. Siya nagtuo nga siya nakakita ug usa ka panan-awon.
10 and having passed through a first ward, and a second, they came to the iron gate that is leading into the city, which opened to them of its own accord, and having gone forth, they went on through one street, and immediately the messenger departed from him.
Pagkahuman nila ug labay sa una ka guwardiya ug sa ikaduha, naabot sila sa ganghaan nga puthaw nga paingon ngadto sa siyudad; kini naabli sa iyang kaugalingon alang kanila. Nanggawas ug nangadto sila sa dalan, ug ang angel mibiya kaniya dayon.
11 And Peter having come to himself, said, “Now I have known of a truth that the LORD sent forth His messenger, and delivered me out of the hand of Herod, and all the expectation of the people of the Jews”;
Sa dihang nakamatngon na si Pedro, siya miingon, “Karon nasayod na ako nga gipadala sa Ginoo ang iyang angel ug giluwas ako gikan sa kamot ni Herodes, ug gikan sa tanang gilaoman sa mga tawo nga mga Judio.”
12 also, having considered, he came to the house of Mary, the mother of John, who is surnamed Mark, where there were many thronged together and praying.
Pagkahuman niya makaamgo niini, miadto siya sa balay ni Maria nga inahan ni Juan kansang apelyido Marcos; daghang mga magtutuo nga nagtigom didto ug nagaampo.
13 And Peter having knocked at the door of the porch, there came a girl to listen, by name Rhoda,
Sa dihang siya nagtuktok sa pultahan sa ganghaan, ang usa ka sulugoon nga babaye nga ginganlan ug Roda miadto aron sa pagtubag.
14 and having known the voice of Peter, from the joy she did not open the porch, but having run in, told of the standing of Peter before the porch,
Sa dihang nailhan niya ang tingog ni Pedro, sa iyang kalipay napakyas siya sa pag-abre sa pultahan; hinuon, siya midagan padulong sa kwarto; siya nagbalita nga si Pedro nagtindog didto sa pultahan.
15 and they said to her, “You are mad”; and she was confidently affirming [it] to be so, and they said, “It is his messenger”;
Busa miingon sila kaniya, “Nabuang naka.” Apan namugos gayod siya nga mao kadto. Sila miingon, “Iya kadtong anghel.”
16 and Peter was continuing knocking, and having opened, they saw him, and were astonished,
Apan nagpadayon sa pagpanuktok si Pedro, ug sa naabrehan na nila ang pultahan, nakita nila siya ug nahibulong.
17 and having beckoned to them with the hand to be silent, he declared to them how the LORD brought him out of the prison, and he said, “Declare these things to James and to the brothers”; and having gone forth, he went on to another place.
Misinyas si Pedro kanila sa iyang kamot nga mohilom, ug gisultihan niya sila kung giunsa siya pagpagawas sa Ginoo sa bilanggoan. Siya miingon, “Ibalita kining mga butanga ngadto kang Santiago ug sa mga igsoon.” Unya mibiya siya ug miadto sa laing dapit.
18 And day having come, there was not a little stir among the soldiers what then was become of Peter,
Karon sa pagkabuntag, walay gamay nga kahinam sa mga sundalo, mahitungod sa nahitabo kang Pedro.
19 and Herod having sought for him, and having not found, having examined the guards, commanded [them] to be led away to punishment, and having gone down from Judea to Caesarea, he was abiding [there].
Pagkahuman ug pangita ni Herodes kaniya apan wala siya makaplagi, gipangutana niya ang mga guwardya ug nagmando kanila nga pamatyon. Unya milugsong siya gikan sa Judea ngadto sa Cesarea ug nagpuyo didto.
20 And Herod was highly displeased with the Tyrians and Sidonians, and with one accord they came to him, and having made a friend of Blastus, who [is] over the bed-chambers of the king, they were asking peace, because of their country being nourished from the king’s;
Karon nasuko pag-ayo si Herodes sa mga tawo sa Tiro ug Sidon. Sila miadto uban kaniya. Unya ilang gidani si Blastus, ang katabang sa hari, nga motabang kanila. Unya nangayo sila ug kalinaw, tungod kay ang ilang nasod nagdawat ug pagkaon gikan sa nasod sa hari.
21 and on a set day, Herod having clothed himself in kingly clothing, and having sat down on the judgment seat, was making an oration to them,
Sa usa ka adlaw nga gitagana nagsuot si Herodes ug harianong bisti ug naglingkod siya sa trono; siya nakigpulong kanila.
22 and the populace were shouting, “The voice of a god, and not of a man!”
Ang mga tawo naninggit, “Kini ang tingog sa usa ka dios, dili sa usa ka tawo!”
23 And immediately a messenger of the LORD struck him in return for that he did not give the glory to God, and having been eaten of worms, he expired.
Diha-diha gihampak siya sa anghel sa Ginoo, tungod kay wala niya gihatag ang himaya sa Dios; siya gikaon sa mga ulod ug namatay.
24 And the word of God grew and multiplied,
Apan ang pulong sa Dios mitubo ug midaghan.
25 and Barnabas and Saul turned back out of Jerusalem, having fulfilled the ministry, having also taken John with [them], who was surnamed Mark.
Human ni Barnabas ug Saulo mahuman ang ilang tahas dito sa Jerusalem, sila mibalik; giuban nila si Juan, kansang apelyido Marcos.
