< 3 John 1 >
1 The elder to Gaius the beloved, whom I love in truth!
Mihak phokhoh taangnawa— Ngah ih nga mongnook Gaius amiimiisak minchan hang asuh raanghang.
2 Beloved, I desire you to prosper concerning all things, and to be in health, even as your soul prospers,
Nga mongnook joonwah, ngah ih rangsoom hang, an damdoh ese toom ang ah eno sakse hanme toomtong uh ngeh ah—mamah liidih ngah ih ejat ehala an chiiala lam ni ese.
3 for I rejoiced exceedingly, brothers coming and testifying of the truth in you, even as you walk in truth;
Kristaan mina thok rum haano baat rum tahang an amiisak tiit asuh kamkam eh tuungmaanglu—saarookwe amiisak ni kamkam ih tonglu ah chaat angno ngah rapne roonlang.
4 I have no joy greater than these things, that I may hear of my children walking in truth.
Tim chaat ang di uh emah than tah thaak roonkang, ngaasuh ngaasah amiisak ni tongla chaat angno roonlang thanthan ah.
5 Beloved, you act faithfully in whatever you may do toward the brothers and the one [among] strangers,
Nga mongnook joonwah, neng loong wenwah ang rum abah uh Kristaan loong raangtaan ih molu ah rapne tuungmaang theng reelu.
6 who testified of your love before an assembly, whom you will do well, having sent forward worthily of God,
Neng ih chaas mina loong asuh an minchan tiit ah baat rumha. Neng lakhoom raangtaan ih nong sokboi we an, erah doba Rangte tenroon thuktheng adoh khoom rum ah.
7 because they went forth for [His] Name, receiving nothing from the nations;
Mamah liidih neng loong ah Kristo mootkaat raangtaan ih ejen dokchap erumta, neng ih lah hanpiite loong taangnawa huinong hui suh tah jam rumka.
8 we, then, ought to receive such, that we may become fellow-workers to the truth.
Seng Kristaan loong ah juuba neng loong ah chosok theng jaatjaat, enooba amiisak mootkaat raangtaan ih seng nong kattheng ang ah.
9 I wrote to the assembly, but he who is loving to be first among them—Diotrephes—does not receive us;
Ngah ih ethoosah chaas raangtaan ih le raanghang; enoothong neng lamsiitte likhiik angla Diotrephes rah ih, arah jenglang asuh hethung hetak nak toom koh ah.
10 because of this, if I may come, I will cause him to remember his works that he does, talking nonsense against us with evil words; and not content with these, neither does he himself receive the brothers, and he forbids those intending [to receive them], and he casts [them] out of the assembly.
Ngah maatok doh wang hang, erah doh heh ih timjih reeta erah baat wanhang: Marah echoh theng baat tahe nyia eleek tiit baat tahe erah loong ah! Enoothong heh suh erah tah changka ang ah; heh ih Kristaan loong heh ih tah banpoon rumka ang ah, erah damdi marah mina ih Kristaan mina banpoon suh taat liiha suh uh heh ih etangpang erum ah, eno neng loong ah chaas nawa edok phanhaat esuh thun rum ah!
11 Beloved, do not be following that which is evil, but that which is good; he who is doing good, he is of God, [but] he who is doing evil has not seen God;
Nga mongnook joonte, ethih ah nak nyoot uh, enoothong marah ese ah erah nyoot uh. Ngo ih ese re ah erah Rangte mina; ngo ih ethih reela erah ih Rangte ah tup muh.
12 testimony has been given to Demetrius by all, and by the truth itself, and we also—we testify, and you have known that our testimony is true.
Thoontang ih Demetrius ese li rumha; amiisak tiitkhaap rah ih heh tiit ah naririh ih baat ha. Eno erah seng roidong tiitkhaap tim baat hi eradi wakbaat hi, an ih ejat ehu seng ih tim baat hi erah amiisak kabaat ih.
13 Many things I had to write, but I do not wish to write to you through ink and pen,
Ngah ih sen suh baat theng hantek je ah, enoothong roong nyi leeraang nawa ih raang suh tah thunghaan kang.
14 and I hope to see you soon, and we will speak mouth to mouth. Peace to you! The friends greet you. Be greeting the friends by name.
Nga tuungmaang eje ang lang sen damdoh elaang ih chomui suh ah, eno erah doh seng pupuh damdoh chomui ino ma roongwaan ih. Semroongroong ah sen damdoh toom angha. Sen joonte loong ih jengse raajeng halan. Seng joonte loong ih waru waru ih jengse raajeng halan.
