< 2 Timothy 3 >
1 And know this, that in the last days there will come perilous times,
Ṣùgbọ́n èyí ni kí o mọ̀ pé, ní ìkẹyìn ọjọ́ ìgbà ewu yóò dé.
2 for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, slanderous, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unkind,
Nítorí àwọn ènìyàn yóò jẹ́ olùfẹ́ ti ara wọn, olùfẹ́ owó, afọ́nnu, agbéraga, asọ̀rọ̀ búburú, aṣàìgbọràn sí òbí, aláìlọ́pẹ́, aláìmọ́.
3 without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, without control, barbaric, not lovers of those who are good,
Aláìnífẹ̀ẹ́, aláìlèdáríjì, abanijẹ́, aláìlè-kó-aràwọn-níjánu, òǹrorò, aláìnífẹ̀ẹ́ ohun rere,
4 traitors, reckless, lofty, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God,
oníkúpani, alágídí, ọlọ́kàn gíga, olùfẹ́ fàájì ju olùfẹ́ Ọlọ́run lọ.
5 having a form of piety, but having denied its power; and be turning away from these,
Àwọn tí wọn ní àfarawé ìwà-bí-Ọlọ́run, ṣùgbọ́n tí wọn sẹ́ agbára rẹ̀; yẹra kúrò lọ́dọ̀ àwọn wọ̀nyí pẹ̀lú.
6 for of these there are those coming into the houses and leading captive the weak women, loaded with sins, led away with manifold desires,
Nítorí nínú irú èyí ni àwọn ti ń rákò wọ inú ilé, tí wọ́n sì ń di àwọn obìnrin aláìlọ́gbọ́n tí a di ẹ̀ṣẹ̀ rù ní ìgbèkùn, tí a sì ń fi onírúurú ìfẹ́kúfẹ̀ẹ́ fà kiri.
7 always learning, and never able to come to a knowledge of truth,
Wọ́n ń fi ìgbà gbogbo kẹ́kọ̀ọ́, wọ́n kò sì lè dé ojú ìmọ̀ òtítọ́.
8 and even as Jannes and Jambres stood against Moses, so these also stand against the truth, men corrupted in mind, disapproved concerning the faith;
Ǹjẹ́ gẹ́gẹ́ bí Janesi àti Jamberi ti kọ ojú ìjà sí Mose náà ni wọ́n kọjú ìjà sí òtítọ́: àwọn ènìyàn tí inú wọn díbàjẹ́, àwọn ẹni ìtanù ní ti ọ̀ràn ìgbàgbọ́.
9 but they will not advance any further, for their folly will be evident to all, as theirs also became.
Ṣùgbọ́n wọn kì yóò lọ síwájú ju bẹ́ẹ̀ lọ, nítorí òmùgọ̀ wọn yóò farahàn fún gbogbo ènìyàn gẹ́gẹ́ bí ti àwọn méjì yìí náà, ti yọrí si.
10 And you have followed after my teaching, manner of life, purpose, faith, long-suffering, love, endurance,
Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ ti mọ ẹ̀kọ́ mi, ìgbésí ayé mi, ìpinnu, ìgbàgbọ́, ìpamọ́ra, ìfẹ́ sùúrù.
11 the persecutions, the afflictions, that befell me in Antioch, in Iconium, in Lystra; what persecutions I endured! And the LORD delivered me out of all.
Inúnibíni, ìyà; àwọn ohun tí ó dé bá mi ní Antioku, ní Ikoniomu ní Lysra; àwọn inúnibíni tí mo faradà: Olúwa sì gbà mi kúrò nínú gbogbo wọn.
12 And all who will to live piously in Christ Jesus will also be persecuted,
Nítòótọ́, gbogbo àwọn tí ó fẹ́ máa gbé ìgbé ayé ìwà-bí-Ọlọ́run nínú Kristi Jesu yóò faradà inúnibíni.
13 and evil men and impostors will advance to the worse, leading astray and being led astray.
Ṣùgbọ́n àwọn ènìyàn búburú, àti àwọn ẹlẹ́tàn yóò máa burú síwájú sí i, wọn ó máa tannijẹ, a ó sì máa tàn wọ́n jẹ.
14 And you—remain in the things which you learned and were entrusted with, having known from whom you learned,
Ṣùgbọ́n ìwọ dúró nínú nǹkan wọ̀nyí tí ìwọ ti kọ́, tí a sì ti jẹ́ kí ojú rẹ dá ṣáṣá sí, kí ìwọ sì mọ̀ ọ̀dọ̀ ẹni tí ìwọ gbé kọ́ wọn.
15 and because you have known the Holy Writings from infancy, which are able to make you wise—to salvation, through faith that [is] in Christ Jesus.
Àti pé láti ìgbà ọmọdé ni ìwọ ti mọ Ìwé Mímọ́, tí ó lè sọ ọ́ di ọlọ́gbọ́n sí ìgbàlà nípasẹ̀ ìgbàgbọ́ nínú Kristi Jesu.
16 Every Writing [is] God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction that [is] in righteousness,
Gbogbo ìwé mímọ́ ni ó ní ìmísí Ọlọ́run tí ó sì ní èrè fún ẹ̀kọ́, fún ìbániwí, fún ìtọ́ni, fún ìkọ́ni tí ó wà nínú òdodo.
17 that the man of God may be fitted—having been completed for every good work.
Kí ènìyàn Ọlọ́run lè pé, tí a ti múra sílẹ̀ pátápátá fun iṣẹ́ rere gbogbo.
