< 2 Timothy 1 >
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, through the will of God, according to a promise of life that [is] in Christ Jesus,
Nye, Paulo, Yesu Kristo ƒe apostolo, ame si Mawu ɖo ɖa be wòaɖe gbeƒã agbe mavɔ si ŋugbe wòdo to Yesu Kristo dzixɔse me na amewo katã la gbɔe agbalẽ sia tso,
2 to Timotheus, beloved child: Grace, kindness, peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!
Na Timoteo, vinye lɔlɔ̃a. Mawu, Fofo la kple Yesu Kristo, míaƒe Aƒetɔ nana eƒe amenuveve, nublanuikpɔkpɔ kple ŋutifafa wò.
3 I am thankful to God, whom I serve from progenitors in a pure conscience, that I unceasingly have remembrance concerning you in my supplications night and day,
Timoteo, medaa akpe na Mawu, ame si mesubɔna abe ale si fofonyewo wɔ ene. Meɖea kuku na Mawu zi geɖe le zã kple keli be wòakɔ yayra geɖewo ɖe dziwò, eye nye dzitsinyae nye be madze eŋu le agbe sia me.

5 taking remembrance of the unhypocritical faith that is in you, that first dwelt in your grandmother Lois, and your mother Eunice, and I am persuaded that also in you.
Menya ale si xɔse alakpamanɔme si le mewò abe dawò Enuike kple mamawò Lois ke ene. Meka ɖe edzi be ègale ŋu ɖom ɖe Aƒetɔ la ŋu kokoko abe tsã ene.
6 For which cause I remind you to stir up the gift of God that is in you through the putting on of my hands,
Le esia ta mele ŋku ɖom edzi na wò be nàde dzo Mawu ƒe nunana si ge ɖe mewò to nye asidada ɖe dziwò me la me,
7 for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind;
elabena Mawu mena vɔvɔ̃gbɔgbɔ mi o, ke boŋ ŋusẽ kple lɔlɔ̃ kple ɖokuidziɖuɖu ƒe gbɔgbɔ wòna mi.
8 therefore you may not be ashamed of the testimony of our Lord, nor of me His prisoner, but you suffer evil along with the good news according to the power of God,
9 who saved us, and called with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace, that was given to us in Christ Jesus, before the times of the ages, (aiōnios )
Eyae ɖe mí, eye wotia mí na eƒe dɔ kɔkɔe la wɔwɔ, menye be míedze nɛ ta o, ke boŋ elabena eyae nye eƒe ɖoɖo xoxoxo hafi wòwɔ xexea me be yeaɖe yeƒe lɔlɔ̃ kple amenuveve afia mí to Kristo Yesu dzi. (aiōnios )
10 and was made visible now through the appearing of our Savior Jesus Christ, who indeed abolished death, and enlightened life and immortality through the good news,
Ke azɔ la, ena nu siawo katã me kɔ na mí to mía Ɖela Yesu Kristo ƒe vava me. Kristo Yesu ɖu ku ƒe ŋusẽ dzi, eye wòfia agbe mavɔ la ƒe mɔ mí to nyanyui la me.
11 to which I was placed a preacher and an apostle, and a teacher of nations,
Eye wòtiam be manye nyanyui sia ƒe gbeƒãɖela, apostolo kple nufiala.
12 for which cause these things I also suffer, but I am not ashamed, for I have known in whom I have believed, and have been persuaded that He is able to guard that which I have committed to Him—to that day.
Eya tae mele fu kpem le afi sia le gaxɔ me ɖo. Nu sia menye ŋukpe nam kura o, elabena menya ame si ŋu meɖo ŋu ɖo, eye meka ɖe edzi be ate ŋu adzɔ nu siwo katã metsɔ de asi nɛ la ŋu dedie va se ɖe gbe si gbe wòagava.
13 Hold the pattern of sound words, which you heard from me, in faith and love that [is] in Christ Jesus;
Lé nyateƒe si mefia wò la me ɖe asi sesĩe, vevietɔ esi ku ɖe xɔse kple lɔlɔ̃ si Kristo Yesu tsɔ na wò la ŋu.
14 guard the good thing committed through the Holy Spirit that is dwelling in us;
Lé be na ŋutete si Mawu na nèxɔ to Gbɔgbɔ Kɔkɔe si le agbe le mewò dzi la nyuie.
15 you have known this, that they turned from me—all those in Asia, of whom are Phygellus and Hermogenes;
Abe ale si nènya ene la, kristotɔ siwo katã tso Asia va afi sia la gblẽm ɖi. Figelo kple Hermogene gɔ̃ ha gblẽm ɖi.
16 may the LORD give kindness to the house of Onesiphorus, because he refreshed me many times, and was not ashamed of my chain,
Aƒetɔ la nayra Onesiforo kple eƒe aƒe blibo la, elabena eva kpɔam ɖa, eye wòdea dzi ƒo nam enuenu. Eƒe kpɔkpɔɖa gbɔa agbem abe ya fafɛ nyui ene, eye nye gaxɔmenɔnɔ menye ŋukpe nɛ o.
17 but being in Rome, he sought me very diligently and found [me];

18 may the LORD give to him to find kindness from the LORD in that day; and you very well know how much he ministered in Ephesus.
