2 Thessalonians 1

1 Paul, and Silvanus, and Timotheus, to the assembly of Thessalonians in God our Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ:

パウロ、シルワノ、テモテ、書を我らの父なる神および主イエス・キリストに在るテサロニケ人の教會に贈る。

2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ!

願はくは父なる神および主イエス・キリストより賜ふ恩惠と平安と汝らに在らんことを。

3 We always ought to give thanks to God for you, brothers, as it is fitting, because your faith increases greatly, and the love of each one of you all abounds to one another,

兄弟よ、われら汝 等につきて常に神に感謝せざるを得ず、これ當然の事なり。そは汝らの信仰おほいに加はり、各自みな互の愛を厚くしたればなり。

4 so that we ourselves glory in you in the assemblies of God, for your endurance and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you bear—

されば我らは、汝らが忍べる凡ての迫害と患難との中にありて保ちたる忍耐と信仰とを、神の諸 教會の間に誇る。

5 a token of the righteous judgment of God, for your being counted worthy of the Kingdom of God, for which you also suffer,

これ神の正しき審判の兆にして、汝らが神の國に相應しき者とならん爲なり。今その御國のために苦難を受く。

6 since [it is] a righteous thing with God to give back to those troubling you—tribulation,

汝らに患難を加ふる者に患難をもて報い、患難を受くる汝らに、我らと共に安息をもて報い給ふは、神の正しき事なり。

7 and to you who are troubled—rest with us in the revelation of the Lord Jesus from Heaven, with messengers of His power,

即ち主イエス焔の中にその能力の御使たちと共に天より顯れ、

8 in flaming fire, giving vengeance to those not knowing God, and to those not obeying the good news of our Lord Jesus Christ,

神を知らぬ者と我らの主イエスの福音に服はぬ者とに報いをなし給ふとき、

9 who will suffer justice—continuous destruction—from the face of the LORD, and from the glory of His strength, (aiōnios g166)

かかる者どもは主の顏とその能力の榮光とを離れて、限りなき滅亡の刑罰を受くべし。 (aiōnios g166)

10 when He may come to be glorified in His holy ones, and to be wondered at by all those believing—because our testimony was believed among you—in that day;

その時は主おのが聖徒によりて崇められ、凡ての信ずる者（なんぢらも我らの證を信じたる者なり）によりて讃められんとて來りたまふ日なり。

11 for which we also always pray for you, that our God may count you worthy of the calling, and may fulfill all the good pleasure of goodness, and the work of faith in power,

これに就きて我ら常に汝らのために祈るは、我らの神の汝 等をして召に適ふ者となし、能力をもて汝らの凡て善に就ける願と信仰の業とを成就せしめ給はんことなり。

12 that the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you, and you in Him, according to the grace of our God and Lord Jesus Christ.

これ我らの神および主イエス・キリストの惠によりて、我らの主イエスの御名の汝らの中に崇められ、又なんぢらも彼に在りて崇められん爲なり。
