2 Samuel 8
1 And it comes to pass afterward that David strikes the Philistines, and humbles them, and David takes the bridle of the metropolis out of the hand of the Philistines.
इसके बाद दाऊद ने फ़िलिस्तियों को मारा, और उनको मग़लूब किया और दाऊद ने दारुल हुकूमत 'इनान फ़िलिस्तियों के हाथ से छीन ली।
2 And he strikes Moab, and measures them with a line, causing them to lie down on the earth, and he measures two lines to put to death, and the fullness of the line to keep alive, and the Moabites are for servants to David, bearers of a present.
और उसने मोआब को मारा और उनको ज़मीन पर लिटा कर रस्सी से नापा, तब उसने क़त्ल करने के लिए दो रस्सियों से नापा और जीता छोड़ने के लिए एक पूरी रस्सी से, यूँ मोआबी दाऊद के ख़ादिम बनकर हदिये लाने लगे।
3 And David strikes Hadadezer son of Rehob, king of Zobah, in his going to bring back his power by the River [Euphrates];
और दाऊद ने ज़ोबाह के बादशाह रहोब के बेटे हदद'अज़र को भी जब वह दरिया — ए — फ़रात पर बादशाहत पर भी क़ब्ज़ा करने को जा रहा था मार लिया।
4 and David captures from him one thousand and seven hundred horsemen, and twenty thousand footmen, and David utterly destroys the whole of the charioteers; he leaves only one hundred of their charioteers.
और दाऊद ने उसके एक हज़ार सात सौ सवार और बीस हज़ार पियादे पकड़ लिए और दाऊद ने रथों के सब घोड़ों की नालें काटीं पर उनमें से सौ रथों के लिए घोड़े बचा रख्खे।
5 And Aram of Damascus comes to give help to Hadadezer king of Zobah, and David strikes twenty-two thousand men of Aram;
और जब दमिश्क़ के अरामी ज़ोबाह के बादशाह हदद अज़र की मदद को आए तो दाऊद ने अरामियों के बाईस हज़ार आदमी क़त्ल किए।
6 and David puts garrisons in Aram of Damascus, and Aram is for a servant to David, carrying a present; and YHWH saves David wherever he has gone;
जब दाऊद ने दमिश्क़ के आराम में सिपाहियों की चौकियाँ बिठाईं तब अरामी भी दाऊद के ख़ादिम बन कर हदिये लाने लगे, और ख़ुदावन्द ने दाऊद को जहाँ कहीं वह गया फ़तह बख़्शी।
7 and David takes the shields of gold which were on the servants of Hadadezer, and brings them to Jerusalem;
और दाऊद ने हदद'अज़र के मुलाज़िमों की सोने की ढालें छीन लीं और उनको येरूशलेम में ले आया।
8 and from Betah, and from Berothai, cities of Hadadezer, King David has taken very much bronze.
और दाऊद बादशाह बताह और बैरूती से जो हदद'अज़र के शहर थे बहुत सा पीतल ले आया।
9 And Toi king of Hamath hears that David has struck all the force of Hadadezer,
और जब हमात के बादशाह तूग़ी ने सुना कि दाऊद ने हदद'अज़र का सारा लश्कर मार लिया।
10 and Toi sends his son Joram to King David to ask of him of welfare, and to bless him (because that he has fought against Hadadezer, and strikes him, for Hadadezer had been a man of wars [with] Toi), and in his hand have been vessels of silver, and vessels of gold, and vessels of bronze,
तो तूग़ी ने अपने बेटे यूराम को दाऊद बादशाह के पास भेजा, कि उसे सलाम कहे और मुबारकबाद दे, इसलिए कि उसने हदद’अज़र तूग़ी से लड़ा करता था और यूराम चाँदी और सोने और पीतल के बरतन अपने साथ लाया।
11 also King David sanctified them to YHWH, with the silver and the gold which he sanctified of all the nations which he subdued:
और दाऊद बादशाह ने उनको ख़ुदावन्द के लिए मख़्सूस किया, ऐसे ही उसने उनसब क़ौमों के सोने चाँदी को मख़्सूस किया जिनको उसने मग़लूब किया था।
12 of Aram, and of Moab, and of the sons of Ammon, and of the Philistines, and of Amalek, and of the spoil of Hadadezer son of Rehob king of Zobah.
या'नी अरामियों और मोआबियों और बनी अम्मोन और फ़िलिस्तियों और 'अमालीकियों के सोने चाँदी और ज़ोबाह के बादशाह रहोब के बेटे हदद'अज़र की लूट को।
13 And David makes a name in his turning back from his striking Aram in the Valley of Salt—eighteen thousand;
और दाऊद का बड़ा नाम हुआ जब वह नमक की वादी में अरामियों के अठारह हज़ार आदमी मार कर लौटा।
14 and he puts garrisons in Edom—he has put garrisons in all of Edom, and all Edom are servants to David; and YHWH saves David wherever he has gone.
और उसने अदोम में चौकियाँ बिठायीं बल्कि सारे अदोम में चौकियाँ बिठायीं और सब अदूमी दाऊद के ख़ादिम बने और ख़ुदावन्द ने दाऊद को जहाँ कहीं वह गया फ़तह बख़्शी।
15 And David reigns over all Israel, and David is doing judgment and righteousness to all his people,
और दाऊद ने कुल इस्राईल पर बादशाहत की और दाऊद अपनी सब र’इयत के साथ अदल — ओ — इन्साफ़ करता था
16 and Joab son of Zeruiah [is] over the host, and Jehoshaphat son of Ahilud [is] remembrancer,
और ज़रोयाह का बेटा योआब लश्कर का सरदार था, और अख़ीलूद का बेटा यहूसफ़त मुवर्रिख़ था।
17 and Zadok son of Ahitub, and Ahimelech son of Abiathar, [are] priests, and Seraiah [is] scribe,
और अख़ीतोब का बेटा सदूक़ और अबीयातर का बेटा अख़ीमलिक काहिन थे और सिरायाह मुंशी था।
18 and Benaiah son of Jehoiada [is over] both the Cherethite and the Pelethite, and the sons of David have been ministers.
और यहूयदाह का बेटा बनायाह करेतियों और फ़िलिस्तियों का सरदार था, और दाऊद के बेटे कहिन थे।
