2 Samuel 16
1 And David has passed on a little from the top, and behold, Ziba, servant of Mephibosheth, [is there] to meet him, and a couple of donkeys [are] saddled, and on them [are] two hundred loaves, and one hundred bunches of raisins, and one hundred of summer-fruit, and a bottle of wine.
தாவீது மலையுச்சிக்கு அப்பால் சிறிது தூரம் சென்றபோது மேவிபோசேத்தின் பராமரிப்பாளனான சீபா, அவனைச் சந்திப்பதற்காக அங்கே வந்து காத்திருந்தான். அவன் இருநூறு அப்பங்களையும், நூறு முந்திரி அடைகளையும், இருநூறு அத்திப்பழ அடைகளையும், ஒரு திராட்சை இரசக் குடுவையையும் கழுதைகளின்மேல் ஏற்றிக்கொண்டு வந்திருந்தான்.
2 And the king says to Ziba, “What [are] these to you?” And Ziba says, “The donkeys for the household of the king to ride on, and the bread and the summer-fruit for the young men to eat, and the wine for the wearied to drink in the wilderness.”
அப்பொழுது அரசன் சீபாவிடம், “ஏன் இவற்றையெல்லாம் கொண்டுவந்தாய்?” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு சீபா, “அரச குடும்பத்தார் ஏறிச் செல்வதற்கு கழுதைகளையும், மனிதர் சாப்பிடுவதற்கு அப்பங்களையும், பழங்களையும், பாலைவனத்தில் களைப்படைந்தவர்களை உற்சாகப்படுத்த திராட்சை இரசத்தையும் கொண்டுவந்திருக்கிறேன்” என்றான்.
3 And the king says, “And where [is] the son of your lord?” And Ziba says to the king, “Behold, he is abiding in Jerusalem, for he said, Today the house of Israel gives back the kingdom of my father to me.”
அதைக்கேட்ட அரசன் அவனிடம், “உன் எஜமானின் பேரன் மேவிபோசேத் எங்கே” என்று கேட்டான். அதற்கு சீபா, “அவர் எருசலேமில் இருக்கிறார்; ‘இன்று இஸ்ரயேல் மக்கள் என் பாட்டனான சவுலின் அரசாட்சியை எனக்குத் திரும்பவும் கொடுப்பார்கள்’ என்று எண்ணுகிறார்” என்றான்.
4 And the king says to Ziba, “Behold, all that Mephibosheth has [is] for you”; and Ziba says, “I have bowed myself—I find grace in your eyes, my lord, O king.”
அரசன் சீபாவிடம், “மேவிபோசேத்துக்கு உரிமையானவைகளெல்லாம் இப்பொழுது உனக்கு உரிமையானவைகளே” என்றான். அப்பொழுது சீபா, “என் தலைவனாகிய அரசனிடம் எனக்குத் தொடர்ந்து தயவு கிடைக்கட்டும். நான் தாழ்மையுடன் வணங்குகிறேன்” என்று சொன்னான்.
5 And King David has come to Bahurim, and behold, a man there is coming out, of the family of the house of Saul, and his name [is] Shimei, son of Gera, he comes out, coming out and reviling;
தாவீது அரசன் பகூரிமை நெருங்குகையில் அங்கேயிருந்த சவுலின் குடும்பத்தின் வம்சத்தைச் சேர்ந்த கேராவின் மகன் சீமேயி என்னும் ஒருவன் வந்தான். அவன் தாவீதை சபித்துக்கொண்டே வந்தான்.
6 and he stones David with stones, and all the servants of King David, and all the people, and all the mighty men on his right and on his left.
தாவீதின் இடது புறமும், வலது புறமும் இராணுவவீரரும், விசேஷ காவலாட்களும் இருந்தபோதிலுங்கூட சீமேயி அரசனாகிய தாவீதுக்கும், அவனுடைய பணியாட்களுக்கும் கற்களை எறிந்தான்.
7 And thus said Shimei in his reviling: “Go out, go out, O man of blood, and man of worthlessness!
சீமேயி தாவீதைச் சபித்து, “இரத்த வெறியனே போய்விடு, கொலைபாதகனே தொலைந்து போ.
8 YHWH has turned back on you all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead you have reigned, and YHWH gives the kingdom into the hand of your son Absalom; and behold, you [are] in your evil, for you [are] a man of blood.”
நீ சவுலின் குடும்பத்தில் சிந்திய இரத்தத்திற்காக யெகோவா உன்னைத் தண்டித்திருக்கிறார். அவனுடைய இடத்தில்தான் நீ ஆளுகை செய்தாயே. யெகோவா அரசாட்சியை உன் மகன் அப்சலோமுக்குக் கொடுத்தார். நீ ஒரு இரத்த வெறியன். எனவேதான் உனக்கு அழிவு வந்திருக்கிறது” என்றான்.
9 And Abishai son of Zeruiah says to the king, “Why does this dead dog revile my lord the king? Please let me pass over and I turn aside his head.”
அப்பொழுது செருயாவின் மகன் அபிசாய் அரசனிடம், “இந்த செத்த நாய் என் தலைவனாகிய அரசனை சபிப்பானேன். நான் போய் அவன் தலையை வெட்டிவிட அனுமதியும்” என்றான்.
10 And the king says, “And what do I [have to do] with you, O sons of Zeruiah? For let him revile; even because YHWH has said to him, Revile David; and who says, Why have You done so?”
ஆனால் அரசனோ, “செருயாவின் மகன்களே! உங்களுக்கும் எனக்கும் இதில் பொதுவாக என்ன இருக்கிறது? யெகோவா சீமேயினிடம், ‘தாவீதைச் சபிக்கவேண்டும்’ என்று கட்டளையிட்டபடியால், அவன் சபித்திருக்க வேண்டும். எனவே அவனிடம், ‘ஏன் இப்படி செய்தாய்?’ என யார் கேட்கலாம்” என்றான்.
11 And David says to Abishai, and to all his servants, “Behold, my son who came out of my bowels is seeking my life, and also surely now the Benjamite; leave him alone, and let him revile, for YHWH has commanded [so] to him;
மேலும் தாவீது அபிசாயிடமும், அவன் பணியாட்களிடமும், “என் சொந்த மாம்சமான என் மகனே என் உயிரை எடுக்க முயலும்போது, இந்த பென்யமீனியன் எவ்வளவு அதிகமாய் செய்யக்கூடும். அவனைவிட்டுவிடுங்கள். அவன் என்னைச் சபிக்கட்டும். யெகோவா அப்படிச் சொல்லியிருக்கிறார்.
12 it may be YHWH looks on my affliction, and YHWH has turned back good to me for his reviling this day.”
ஒருவேளை நான் படும் துன்பங்களை யெகோவா பார்த்து இன்று எனக்குக் கிடைத்த சாபத்திற்குப் பதிலாக நன்மை செய்யக்கூடும்” என்றான்.
13 And David goes with his men in the way, and Shimei is going at the side of the hill opposite him, going on, and he reviles, and stones with stones close by him, and has dusted with dust.
ஆகவே தாவீதும் அவனோடிருந்த மனிதரும் தொடர்ந்து தம் வழியே போனார்கள். சீமேயி மலைப் பக்கமாக தாவீதிற்கு எதிர்த்திசையில் போனான். அவன் தாவீதைச் சபித்துக்கொண்டும், கல்லெறிந்து கொண்டும், தாவீதின்மேல் மண்ணை வீசிக்கொண்டும் போனான்.
14 And the king comes in, and all the people who [are] with him, wearied, and they are refreshed there.
அரசனும் அவனோடிருந்த மக்களும் களைப்புடன் தாங்கள் போகவேண்டிய இடத்தை வந்தடைந்தார்கள். அங்கே அவன் இளைப்பாறி பெலனடைந்தான்.
15 And Absalom and all the people, the men of Israel, have come to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him,
இதற்கிடையில் அப்சலோமும், இஸ்ரயேல் மனிதர்களும் எருசலேமுக்கு வந்தார்கள். அவர்களுடன் அகிதோப்பேலும் இருந்தான்.
16 and it comes to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David’s friend, has come to Absalom, that Hushai says to Absalom, “Let the king live! Let the king live!”
அதன்பின்பு அர்கியனான ஊசாய் என்னும் தாவீதின் சிநேகிதன் அப்சலோமிடம் போய், “அரசே நீடூழி வாழ்க! அரசே நீடூழி வாழ்க!” என்று வாழ்த்தினான்.
17 And Absalom says to Hushai, “[Is] this your kindness with your friend? Why have you not gone with your friend?”
அதற்கு அப்சலோம் ஊசாயிடம், “உன் நண்பனுக்கு நீ காட்டும் அன்பு இவ்வளவுதானா? உன் நண்பனோடு நீ ஏன் போகவில்லை” எனக் கேட்டான்.
18 And Hushai says to Absalom, “No, for he whom YHWH has chosen, and this people, even all the men of Israel, I am his, and I abide with him;
அதற்கு, ஊசாய் அப்சலோமிடம், “அப்படியல்ல; யெகோவாவினாலும் இந்த மக்களாலும் இஸ்ரயேல் மனிதர்கள் அனைவராலும் தெரிந்துகொள்ளப்பட்டவருடனேயே நான் இருப்பேன். அவருடனேயே நான் எப்போதும் இருப்பேன்.
19 and secondly, for whom do I labor? Is it not before his son? As I served before your father, so I am before you.”
அன்றியும் நான் யாருக்குப் பணிபுரிய வேண்டும்; அவருடைய மகனுக்குப் பணிசெய்ய வேண்டாமோ? உமது தகப்பனுக்குப் பணி செய்ததுபோலவே உமக்கும் செய்வேன்” என்றான்.
20 And Absalom says to Ahithophel, “Give counsel for yourself [for] what we do.”
அப்பொழுது அப்சலோம் அகிதோப்பேலிடம், “நாங்கள் என்ன செய்யவேண்டும் என நீ ஆலோசனை சொல்” என்று கேட்டான்.
21 And Ahithophel says to Absalom, “Go in to the concubines of your father, whom he left to keep the house, and all Israel has heard that you have been abhorred by your father, and the hands of all who [are] with you have been strong.”
அதற்கு அகிதோப்பேல், “அரண்மனையைப் பராமரிக்க உமது தகப்பன் வைப்பாட்டிகளை விட்டுப் போயிருக்கிறார்; அவர்களுடன் நீர் உறவு வைத்துக்கொள்ளும். இவ்வாறு நீர் செய்து உம்மை உமது தகப்பனுக்கு வெறுப்புக்குரியவனாக்கின செய்தியை இஸ்ரயேலர் எல்லோரும் கேள்விப்படுவார்கள். அப்போது உம்மோடிருப்பவர்கள் இன்னும் பெலப்படுவார்கள்” என ஆலோசனை சொன்னான்.
22 And they spread out the tent for Absalom on the roof, and Absalom goes in to the concubines of his father before the eyes of all Israel.
எனவே அரண்மனையின் கூரையின்மேல் அப்சலோமுக்காக ஒரு கூடாரம் அமைத்தார்கள். அப்சலோம் இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களனைவரின் முன்னிலையிலும் தன் தகப்பனின் வைப்பாட்டிகளுடன் உறவுகொண்டான்.
23 And the counsel of Ahithophel which he counseled in those days [is] as [when] one inquires at the word of God; so [is] all the counsel of Ahithophel both to David and to Absalom.
அந்நாட்களில் அகிதோப்பேலின் ஆலோசனை இறைவன் சொல்லும் ஆலோசனையைப்போல் இருந்தது. அதுபோலவே தாவீதும், அப்சலோமும் அகிதோப்பேலின் ஆலோசனைகளைக் கருதினார்கள்.
