2 Samuel 13
1 And it comes to pass afterward that Absalom son of David has a beautiful sister, and her name [is] Tamar, and Amnon son of David loves her.
Después de esto, se supo que Absalón, el hijo de David, tenía una hermosa hermana, cuyo nombre era Tamar; y el hijo de David, Amnón, estaba enamorado de ella.
2 And Amnon has distress—even to become sick, because of his sister Tamar, for she [is] a virgin, and it is hard in the eyes of Amnon to do anything to her.
Y estaba tan profundamente enamorado que se enfermó a causa de su hermana Tamar; porque ella era virgen, por lo que a Amnón le resultaba difícil hacerle algo.
3 And Amnon has a friend, and his name [is] Jonadab, son of Shimeah, David’s brother, and Jonadab [is] a very wise man,
Pero Amnón tenía un amigo que se llamaba Jonadab, el hijo de Simea, el hermano de David: y Jonadab era un hombre muy sabio.
4 and says to him, “Why [are] you thus lean, O king’s son, morning by morning? Do you not declare [it] to me?” And Amnon says to him, “Tamar—sister of my brother Absalom—I am loving.”
Y él le dijo: Oh hijo del rey, ¿por qué te debilitas cada día? ¿No dirás cuál es tu problema? Y Amnón le dijo: Estoy enamorado de Tamar, la hermana de mi hermano Absalón.
5 And Jonadab says to him, “Lie down on your bed, and feign yourself sick, and your father has come in to see you, and you have said to him: Please let my sister Tamar come in and give me bread to eat; and she has made the food before my eyes so that I see [it], and have eaten from her hand.”
Entonces Jonadab le dijo: Ve a tu cama y que parezca que estás enfermo. Y cuando tu padre venga a verte, dile: Deja que venga mi hermana Tamar, y prepare la comida delante de mí, para que pueda verla y comerla de su mano.
6 And Amnon lies down, and feigns himself sick, and the king comes in to see him, and Amnon says to the king, “Please let my sister Tamar come, and she makes two cakes before my eyes, and I eat from her hand.”
Entonces, Amnón se acostó y se puso enfermo: y cuando el rey fue a verlo, Amnón le dijo al rey: Por favor, que mi hermana Tamar venga y me prepare uno o dos pasteles delante de mis ojos, para que Puedo tomar comida de su mano.
7 And David sends to Tamar, to the house, saying, “Now go to the house of your brother Amnon and make food for him.”
Luego, David envió a la casa a buscar a Tamar y le dijo: Ve ahora a la casa de tu hermano Amnón y consigue una comida para él.
8 And Tamar goes to the house of her brother Amnon, and he is lying down, and she takes the dough, and kneads, and makes cakes before his eyes, and cooks the cakes,
Entonces Tamar fue a la casa de su hermano Amnón; y él estaba en la cama. Y ella tomó pasta e hizo pasteles ante sus ojos, cocinándolos sobre el fuego.
9 and takes the frying-pan, and pours out before him, and he refuses to eat, and Amnon says, “Have everyone go out from me”; and everyone goes out from him.
Entonces ella tomó la olla y puso los pasteles delante de él, pero él no los tomó. Y Amnón dijo: Deja que todos se vayan de mí. Así que todos salieron.
10 And Amnon says to Tamar, “Bring the food into the inner chamber, and I eat from your hand”; and Tamar takes the cakes that she has made and brings [them] to her brother Amnon [in] the inner chamber,
Entonces Amnón dijo a Tamar: Toma la comida y entra en mi habitación, para que pueda tomarla de tu mano. Así que Tamar tomó los pasteles que había hecho y se fue con ellos al dormitorio de su hermano Amnón.
11 and she brings [them] near to him to eat, and he lays hold on her, and says to her, “Come, lie with me, my sister.”
Cuando ella los tomó para dárselos, él la abrazó y le dijo: Ven a la cama, hermana mía.
12 And she says to him, “No, my brother, do not humble me, for it is not done so in Israel; do not do this folly.
Respondiendo, ella dijo: Oh hermano mío, no me avergüences; no está bien que se haga algo así en Israel. No hagas tal infamia.
13 And I—to where do I cause my reproach to go? And you are as one of the fools in Israel; and now, please speak to the king; for he does not withhold me from you.”
¿Qué será de mí en mi vergüenza? y en cuanto a ti, serás despreciable por todo Israel. Ahora, ve y haz tu pedido al rey, porque él no me alejará de ti.
14 And he has not been willing to listen to her voice, and is stronger than she, and humbles her, and lies with her.
Pero él no le prestaría atención a lo que ella decía, pero siendo más fuerte que ella, la tomó por la fuerza y la violó.
15 And Amnon hates her—a very great hatred—that greater [is] the hatred with which he has hated her than the love with which he loved her, and Amnon says to her, “Rise, go.”
Entonces Amnón estaba lleno de odio por ella, odiándola con un odio más grande que su amor anterior por ella. Y él le dijo: Levántate y vete.
16 And she says to him, “Because of the circumstances this evil is greater than the other that you have done with me—to send me away”; and he has not been willing to listen to her,
Y ella le dijo: No es así, hermano mío, porque este gran error al despedirme es peor que lo que me hiciste antes. Pero él no le prestó atención.
17 and calls his young man, his servant, and says, “Now send this one away from me outside, and bolt the door after her.”
Entonces dio un grito al siervo que lo estaba esperando y le dijo: Saca a esta mujer y que la puerta quede cerrada con llave.
18 And a long coat [is] on her, for such upper robes daughters of the king who [are] virgins put on—and his servant takes her outside, and has bolted the door after her.
Ahora tenía puesta una túnica larga, como en tiempos pasados que vestían las hijas vírgenes del rey. Entonces el criado la sacó, cerrando la puerta con llave.
19 And Tamar takes ashes for her head, and has torn the long coat that [is] on her, and puts her hand on her head, and goes, going on and crying;
Y Tamar, en su dolor, puso polvo sobre su cabeza; y ella puso su mano en su cabeza y se fue llorando a gritos.
20 and her brother Absalom says to her, “Has your brother Amnon been with you? And now, my sister, keep silent, he [is] your brother; do not set your heart to this thing”; and Tamar dwells—but desolate—in the house of her brother Absalom.
Y su hermano Absalón le dijo: ¿Ha estado tu hermano Amnón contigo? Pero ahora, deja que termine tu llanto, hermana mía, él es tu hermano, no te tomes esto en serio. Entonces Tamar siguió viviendo devastada en la casa de su hermano Absalón.
21 And King David has heard all these things, and it is very displeasing to him;
Pero cuando el rey David tuvo noticias de todas estas cosas, se enojó mucho; pero no causó problemas a su hijo Amnón, porque era querido por David, siendo su hijo mayor.
22 and Absalom has not spoken with Amnon either evil or good, for Absalom is hating Amnon, because that he humbled his sister Tamar.
Pero Absalón no le dijo nada a su hermano Amnón, ni bueno ni malo: porque estaba lleno de odio por él, porque se había llevado a su hermana Tamar por la fuerza.
23 And it comes to pass, after two years of days, that Absalom has shearers in Ba‘al-Hazor, which [is] near Ephraim, and Absalom calls for all the sons of the king.
Después de dos años completos, Absalón hizo que los hombres cortaran la lana de sus ovejas en Baal Hazor, que está cerca de Efraín, e invitó todos los hijos del rey a su banquete.
24 And Absalom comes to the king and says, “Now behold, your servant has shearers, please let the king go—and his servants—with your servant.”
Entonces Absalón se acercó al rey y le dijo: Mira, mis siervos están cortando la lana de sus ovejas; ¿Se complacerá el rey y sus siervos acompañarme?
25 And the king says to Absalom, “No, my son, please let us not all go, and we are not too heavy on you”; and he presses on him, and he has not been willing to go, and he blesses him.
Y el rey dijo a Absalón: No, hijo mío, no vamos todos, o el número será demasiado grande para ti. E hizo nuevamente su petición, pero no quiso ir, pero le dio su bendición.
26 And Absalom says, “If not, please let my brother Amnon go with us”; and the king says to him, “Why does he go with you?”
Entonces Absalón dijo: Si no quieres ir, deja que mi hermano Amnón vaya con nosotros. Y el rey le dijo: ¿Hay alguna razón para que vaya contigo?
27 And Absalom urges for him, and he sends Amnon and all the sons of the king with him.
Pero Absalón siguió pidiéndole hasta que dejó que Amnón y todos los hijos del rey lo acompañaran. Y Absalón hizo una gran fiesta como una fiesta para un rey.
28 And Absalom commands his young men, saying, “Now see, when the heart of Amnon [is] glad with wine, and I have said to you, Strike Amnon, that you have put him to death; do not fear; is it not because I have commanded you? Be strong, indeed, become sons of valor.”
Ahora Absalón había dado órdenes a sus sirvientes, diciendo: Ahora, tomen nota cuando el corazón de Amnón se alegra con el vino; y cuando les diga: ataca a Amnón, mátalo sin miedo: ¿no te he dado órdenes? Séan fuertes y valientes.
29 And the young men of Absalom do to Amnon as Absalom commanded, and all the sons of the king rise, and they ride, each on his mule, and flee.
Así que los sirvientes de Absalón hicieron con Amnón como Absalón les había dado órdenes. Entonces todos los hijos del rey se levantaron, y todos los hombres se subieron a su mula y salieron huyendo.
30 And it comes to pass—they [are] in the way—and the report has come to David, saying, “Absalom has struck all the sons of the king, and there is not left [even] one of them”;
Ahora, mientras iban en camino, se le dio a David la noticia de que Absalón había dado muerte a todos los hijos del rey y que ninguno de ellos aún vivía.
31 and the king rises, and tears his garments, and lies on the earth, and all his servants are standing by [with] torn garments.
Entonces el rey se levantó con gran dolor, tendiéndose sobre la tierra; y todos sus siervos estaban a su lado, con sus ropas rasgadas.
32 And Jonadab son of Shimeah, David’s brother, answers and says, “Do not let my lord say, The whole of the young men, the sons of the king, they have put to death; for Amnon alone [is] dead, for it has been appointed by the command of Absalom from the day of his humbling his sister Tamar;
Y Jonadab, el hijo de Simea, hermano de David, dijo: No se dé a mi señor la idea de que todos los hijos del rey han sido ejecutados; porque sólo Amnón ha muerto: esto lo propuso Absalom desde el día en que tomó a su hermana Tamar por la fuerza.
33 and now, do not let my lord the king lay the word to his heart, saying, All the sons of the king have died, for Amnon alone [is] dead.”
Así que ahora, no permita que mi señor el rey tome esto en serio, con la idea de que todos los hijos del rey están muertos, porque sólo Amnón está muerto.
34 And Absalom flees, and the young man who is watching lifts up his eyes and looks, and behold, many people are coming by the way behind him, on the side of the hill.
Pero Absalón salió huyendo. Y el joven que vigilaba, alzando los ojos, vio que una gran banda de personas bajaba la pendiente por el camino que estaba a sus espaldas; y el vigilante se acercó y le dijo al rey, diciendo: Vi a hombres que bajaban por el camino, desde la ladera.
35 And Jonadab says to the king, “Behold, the sons of the king have come; as the word of your servant, so it has been.”
Y Jonadab dijo al rey: Mira, vienen los hijos del rey; Como dijo tu siervo, así es.
36 And it comes to pass at his finishing to speak, that behold, the sons of the king have come, and they lift up their voice, and weep, and also the king and all his servants have wept—a very great weeping.
Y mientras él hablaba, los hijos del rey vinieron, llorando y gritando: y el rey y todos sus siervos lloraron amargamente.
37 And Absalom has fled, and goes to Talmai, son of Ammihud, king of Geshur, and [David] mourns for his son all the days.
Entonces Absalón salió huyendo y vino a Talmai, el hijo de Amiud, el rey de Gesur, donde estuvo durante tres años.
38 And Absalom has fled, and goes to Geshur, and is there [for] three years;
Y el rey estaba sufriendo por su hijo todo el tiempo.
39 and King David determines to go out to Absalom, for he has been comforted for Amnon, for [he is] dead.
Y el corazón de David deseaba ver a Absalón, pues ya había sido consolado por la muerte de Amnón.
