< 2 Peter 1 >
1 Simeon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who obtained an equally precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
Ọ bụ Saimọn Pita, odibo na onyeozi nke Jisọs Kraịst, Na-edegara ndị niile anyị na ha ketara otu ụdị okwukwe a dị oke ọnụahịa, nʼime ezi omume nke Chineke na Onye nzọpụta anyị Jisọs Kraịst akwụkwọ ozi a:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the acknowledgment of God and of Jesus our Lord!
Ka amara na udo bara unu ụba, site na mmazu nke Chineke na nke Jisọs Onyenwe anyị.
3 As His divine power has given to us all things pertaining to life and piety, through the acknowledgment of Him who called us through glory and virtue,
O sitela nʼike o ji bụrụ Chi nye anyị ihe niile dị anyị mkpa ibi ndụ na-asọpụrụ ya, site nʼọmụma nke anyị mara ya, bụ onye ahụ kpọrọ anyị site nʼebube ya na ịdị mma ya.
4 through which the most great and precious promises have been given to us, that through these you may become partakers of a divine nature, having escaped from the corruption [and] lust in the world.
O sitela nʼihe ndị a nye anyị nkwa dị ukwuu na nke dị oke ọnụahịa, ka anyị site na ha keta oke nʼụdịdị nsọ ya, si otu a gbanarị ịrụ arụ dị nʼụwa, nke ọchịchọ ọjọọ na-ebute.
5 And [for] this same [reason] also, having brought in all diligence, supplement your faith with virtue, and with virtue—knowledge,
Nʼihi nke a, gbalịsienụ ike ịtụkwasị ịdị mma nʼelu okwukwe unu, ma na-atụkwasịkwanụ ihe ọmụma nʼelu ịdị mma,
6 and with knowledge—self-control, and with self-control—endurance, and with endurance—piety,
tụkwasịkwanụ imerụ ihe nʼoke nʼelu ihe ọmụma, tụkwasịkwanụ ntachiobi nʼelu imerụ ihe na oke, ma na-atụkwasịkwanụ ibi ndụ dị ka ndị Chineke nʼelu ntachiobi.
7 and with piety—brotherly kindness, and with brotherly kindness—love;
Tụkwasịkwanụ obiọma nye ụmụnna nʼelu ibi ndụ dị ka ndị Chineke, ma na-atụkwasịkwanụ ịhụnanya nʼelu obiọma nye ụmụnna.
8 for these things being in you and abounding, make [you] neither inert nor unfruitful in regard to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Ọ bụrụ na unu enwe ihe ndị a nʼụzọ ha jubigakwara oke nʼime unu, mgbe ahụ ha ga-eme ka unu ndị na-adịghị amị mkpụrụ, bụrụ ndị na-amị mkpụrụ, na ndị bara uru nʼihe unu maara banyere Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst.
9 for he with whom these things are not present is blind, dim-sighted, having become forgetful of the cleansing of his old sins;
Ma onye ọbụla na-atụkwasịghị ihe ndị a nʼokwukwe ya nọ nʼọchịchịrị. Ọ naghị ahụ ụzọ. Ọ bụkwa onye na-echefu na a sachapụla ya mmehie ya, ndị o mere nʼoge gara aga.
10 therefore, rather, brothers, be diligent to make steadfast your calling and [divine] selection, for doing these things you may never stumble;
Nʼihi ya ụmụnna m, gbalịsienụ ike iguzosike nʼọkpụkpọ na nhọpụta unu. Nke a ga-eme ka unu hapụ ịsọ ngọngọ maọbụ daa.
11 in this way the entrance into the continuous kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplemented to you. (aiōnios )
Nʼụzọ dị otu a, a ga-enye unu ohere dị ukwuu iji bata nʼalaeze ebighị ebi nke Onyenwe anyị na Onye nzọpụta anyị Jisọs Kraịst. (aiōnios )
12 Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you about these things, although you have known [them] and have been established in the present truth,
Aga m na-aga nʼihu na-echetara unu ihe ndị a site nʼoge ruo nʼoge. Ọ bụ ezie na unu maara na ha na-eguzosikwa ike nʼeziokwu ahụ unu natara.
13 and I think right, so long as I am in this tent, to stir you up in reminding [you],
Ana m agụ ya nʼihe ziri ezi ịkpọte mmụọ unu na uche unu site nʼichetara unu ihe ndị a ugbu a m dị ndụ nʼanụ ahụ a.
14 having known that the laying aside of my tent is soon, even as our Lord Jesus Christ also showed to me.
Nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst agwala m hoohaa, na m ga-eyipụ ya nʼoge na-adịghị anya.
15 And I will also be diligent [to ensure] that you always have a remembrance to make of these things after my departure.
Aga m agbalịsi ike ịhụ na mgbe m hapụchara ụwa nke a, unu ga na-echeta ihe ndị a mgbe niile.
16 For having not followed out skillfully devised fables, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but having become eyewitnesses of His majesty—
Ihe niile anyị na-akọrọ unu abụghị akụkọ ifo mmadụ kọrọ site nʼamamihe ya. Nʼihi na anyị kọwaara unu ihe banyere ike Onyenwe anyị Jisọs Kraịst na ọbịbịa ọ ga-abịa ọzọ. Ọ bụ anya anyị abụọ ka anyị ji hụ ebube nke ịbụ eze ya.
17 for having received honor and glory from God the Father, such a voice being borne to Him by the Excellent Glory: “This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delighted”;
Nʼihi na ọ natara nsọpụrụ na ebube site nʼaka Chineke bụ Nna mgbe olu ahụ si nʼebube ahụ dị ukwuu daa sị, “Onye a bụ Ọkpara m, onye m hụrụ nʼanya, onye ihe ya dị m ezi mma.”
18 and we heard this voice borne out of Heaven, being with Him at the holy mountain.
Anyị onwe anyị nụrụ olu ahụ si nʼeluigwe daa mgbe anyị so ya nọdụ nʼelu ugwu nsọ ahụ.
19 And we have a more firm prophetic word, to which we do well giving heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until day may dawn, and [the] morning star may arise in your hearts;
Anyị nwapụtara na okwu ndị amụma ahụ bụ ihe mezuru emezu. Unu onwe unu kwesikwara ilezi anya nʼokwu ndị ahụ, dịka a ga-asị na ha bụ ìhè na-enwu nʼebe ọchịchịrị gbara nke na-adị ruo mgbe chi bọrọ, mgbe e mere ka kpakpando ọtụtụ walie nʼobi unu.
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Writing comes of private exposition,
Nke ka nke, ghọtanụ na okwu amụma ọbụla dị nʼakwụkwọ nsọ abụghị nke e dere dịka akọnuche mmadụ si dị.
21 for prophecy never came by [the] will of man, but men spoke from God, being brought by the Holy Spirit.
Nʼihi na o nweghị okwu amụma ọbụla nke e chepụtara dị ka ọchịchọ obi mmadụ si dị, kama mgbe ndị mmadụ kwuru okwu nʼaha Chineke, ọ bụ Mmụọ Nsọ duru ha.
