< 2 Peter 1 >

1 Simeon Peter, a servant and an apostle of Jesus Christ, to those who obtained an equally precious faith with us in the righteousness of our God and Savior Jesus Christ:
Jesus Christ i sal le sawltak ahi keima Simon Peter in, Pathian le eite hong ngum Jesus Christ i thutang suana tungtawn in eite taw a manpha upna a sang te tung ah:
2 Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the acknowledgment of God and of Jesus our Lord!
Pathian le i Topa Jesus heakna tungtawn in note tung ah thuhtiamna le thinnopna hong khang tahen,
3 As His divine power has given to us all things pertaining to life and piety, through the acknowledgment of Him who called us through glory and virtue,
A minthanna le phatna sung ah, Ama heakna tungtawn in hongsam pa in nuntakna le Pathian mi hina theampo te Pathian vangletna bang in hong pia zo hi:
4 through which the most great and precious promises have been given to us, that through these you may become partakers of a divine nature, having escaped from the corruption [and] lust in the world.
Hi bangin a lian mama le a manpha kamciam te hong pia hi: tua kamciam te hang in Pathian i hina a neipui te na hi thei natu uh in, cilesa deina tungtawn in leitung i siatna te pan na suakta zo uh hi.
5 And [for] this same [reason] also, having brought in all diligence, supplement your faith with virtue, and with virtue—knowledge,
Hi thu hang in na upna uh tung ah ngamtat phatna belap vun; ngamtat phatna tung ah heakna belap vun;
6 and with knowledge—self-control, and with self-control—endurance, and with endurance—piety,
Taciang heakna tung ah ki ukzawkna; taciang ki ukzawkna tung ah thuakna; taciang thuakna tung ah Pathian mi hina;
7 and with piety—brotherly kindness, and with brotherly kindness—love;
Pathian mi hina tung ah u le nau tung ah phatna; tua tung ah itna belap vun.
8 for these things being in you and abounding, make [you] neither inert nor unfruitful in regard to the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ,
Banghangziam cile hi thu te sia note sung ah om in a khang ahile, i Topa Jesus Christ na heakna sung ah phatuam ngawl le nga nei ngawl in na om batu uh hi.
9 for he with whom these things are not present is blind, dim-sighted, having become forgetful of the cleansing of his old sins;
Ahihang hi thu te a nei ngawl peuma mittaw hi a, a khuala mu thei ngawl hi, taciang nidang a mawna te pan in ki thiangsak zo a hina zong mangil zo hi.
10 therefore, rather, brothers, be diligent to make steadfast your calling and [divine] selection, for doing these things you may never stumble;
Tua ahikom in suapui te awng, Pathian i sapna le tealna telthiang tu in hanciam vun: banghangziam cile hi thu te na vawt uh le, na puk ngei batu uh hi:
11 in this way the entrance into the continuous kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ will be richly supplemented to you. (aiōnios g166)
Tabang in i Topa le ngumpa Jesus Christ i tawntung ukna sung ah tum thei natu a dimlet in na nga tu uh hi. (aiōnios g166)
12 Therefore, I will always be ready to remind you about these things, although you have known [them] and have been established in the present truth,
Tua ahikom note tu hun thuman na he uh a, tua thuman sung ah kho nginge napi, hi thu te tatsat ngawl in kong phawksak tu sia ka haisang batu hi.
13 and I think right, so long as I am in this tent, to stir you up in reminding [you],
Hi hi, hi biakbuk sung ah ka om sung theampo, hong hanthawn in kong phawsak tu sia a maan a hihi, ci in ka ngaisun hi;
14 having known that the laying aside of my tent is soon, even as our Lord Jesus Christ also showed to me.
I Topa Jesus Christ in hong mu sa bang in, a hai ngawl in hi ka biakbuk ka sut hamtang tu hi, ci ka he hi.
15 And I will also be diligent [to ensure] that you always have a remembrance to make of these things after my departure.
Tuabek domngawl in hi thu te sia ka thi zawkciang zong tatsat ngawl in na phawk thei natu uh ka hanciam tu hi.
16 For having not followed out skillfully devised fables, we made known to you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but having become eyewitnesses of His majesty—
Banghangziam cile i Topa Jesus Christ i vangletna le hongpai pheang tu thu note tung ah hong heaksak thei natu in, thimtheltak in phuatawm tangthu te ka zui bua uh hi, ahihang kote sia Ama minthanna mit vateak taw a mu tetti te ka hi uh hi.
17 for having received honor and glory from God the Father, such a voice being borne to Him by the Excellent Glory: “This is My Son, the Beloved, in whom I delighted”;
Banghangziam cile, hisia sia ka it ka Tapa a hihi, Ama tung ah ka lungkim mama hi, ci aw sia a sangbel minthanna kung pan hongpai ciang in, Pa Pathian kung pan in upatna le minthanna nga hi.
18 and we heard this voice borne out of Heaven, being with Him at the holy mountain.
Ama taw mual thiangtho tung ah ka om uh lai in, vantung pan in hi aw ka za uh hi.
19 And we have a more firm prophetic word, to which we do well giving heed, as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until day may dawn, and [the] morning star may arise in your hearts;
Kamsang te sonkholna a thiang zaw thu zong i nei hi; note thinsung ah zingsol hong suak a, khuavak dong tua kamsang te sonkhol te sia khuazing na mun ah khuavak a tan bang in na kinging uh le, na pha seam na hi uh hi:
20 knowing this first, that no prophecy of the Writing comes of private exposition,
Laithiangtho sung kamsang te sonkhol thu sia, kuama in ama ngaisut na taw a khiakna thiangsak thei ngawl hi, ci tel masa tavun.
21 for prophecy never came by [the] will of man, but men spoke from God, being brought by the Holy Spirit.
Banghangziam cile nidanglai kamsang te i sonkhol thu sia mihing deina tungtawn in hongpai hi ngawl hi: ahihang Pathian i mithiangtho te in Tha Thiangtho makaina bang in a pau uh a hihi.
