2 Kings 8
1 And Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had revived, saying, “Rise and go, you and your household, and sojourn where you sojourn, for YHWH has called for a famine, and also, it is coming to the land [for] seven years.”
Ịlaisha gwara nwanyị ahụ o mere ka nwa ya si nʼọnwụ bilie okwu sị ya, “Bilie, gị na ezinaụlọ gị, gaa nʼobodo ọzọ ebe unu ga-anọ dịka ọbịa nʼihi na Onyenwe anyị ekwuola na oke ụnwụ ga-adakwasị ala Izrel afọ asaa.”
2 And the woman rises, and does according to the word of the man of God, and goes, she and her household, and sojourns in the land of the Philistines [for] seven years.
Nwanyị ahụ mere dịka onye nke Chineke gwara ya, o biliri, ya na ezinaụlọ ya gaa biri nʼala ndị Filistia afọ asaa.
3 And it comes to pass, at the end of seven years, that the woman turns back from the land of the Philistines, and goes out to cry to the king for her house and for her field.
Mgbe ụnwụ ahụ gwụsịrị nʼafọ nke asaa, o si nʼala ndị Filistia lọta nʼIzrel. Mgbe ọ lọtara, o jekwuuru eze ka o nyere ya aka inwetaghachi ụlọ ya na ala ya.
4 And the king is speaking to Gehazi, servant of the man of God, saying, “Please recount to me the whole of the great things that Elisha has done.”
Mgbe nwanyị ahụ bịakwutere eze, eze nọ na-agwa Gehazi bụ onye na-ejere onye nke Chineke ozi okwu sị ya, “Biko, kọọrọ m akụkọ ihe ukwu niile Ịlaisha mere.”
5 And it comes to pass, he is recounting to the king how he had revived the dead, and behold, the woman whose son he had revived is crying to the king for her house and for her field, and Gehazi says, “My lord, O king, this [is] the woman, and this [is] her son, whom Elisha revived.”

6 And the king inquires of the woman, and she recounts to him, and the king appoints a certain eunuch to her, saying, “Give back all that she has, and all the increase of the field from the day of her leaving the land even until now.”

7 And Elisha comes to Damascus, and Ben-Hadad king of Aram is sick, and it is declared to him, saying, “The man of God has come here.”
Mgbe ihe ndị a gasịrị Ịlaisha gara Damaskọs, isi obodo ndị Siria. Nʼoge a, Ben-Hadad eze Aram, na-arịa ọrịa. “A gara gwa eze na onye nke Chineke abịala nʼebe ahụ.”
8 And the king says to Hazael, “Take a present in your hand, and go to meet the man of God, and you have sought YHWH by him, saying, Do I revive from this sickness?”
Mgbe eze nụrụ ya, ọ kpọrọ Hazael sị ya, “Were onyinye ịnata ihuọma nʼaka gị wegara onye nke Chineke, site nʼaka ya jụta Onyenwe anyị ase. Jụọ ya, ‘M ga-esi nʼọrịa a bilie?’”
9 And Hazael goes to meet him, and takes a present in his hand, even of every good thing of Damascus, a burden of forty camels, and he comes in and stands before him, and says, “Your son Ben-Hadad, king of Aram, has sent me to you, saying, Do I revive from this sickness?”
Hazael weere iri ịnyịnya kamel anọ buru ezi ihe niile si nʼala Damaskọs, wetara Ịlaisha onyinye ndị a sị ya, “Nwa gị Ben-Hadad, eze Aram, zitere ka m jụọ gị sị, ‘M ga-esi nʼọrịa a bilie?’”
10 And Elisha says to him, “Go, say, You certainly do not revive, seeing [that] YHWH has showed me that he surely dies.”
Ịlaisha zara sị ya, “Laa, gaa gwa ya sị ya, ‘Ị ga-esi nʼọrịa bilie.’ Ma Onyenwe anyị egosila m na, nʼezie, ọ ga-anwụ.”
11 And he sets his face, indeed, he sets [it] until he is ashamed, and the man of God weeps.
Mgbe Ịlaisha nọ na-ekwu okwu a, o legidere Hazael anya nʼihu tutu ruo mgbe ihere mere ya. Mgbe ahụ, onye nke Chineke kwara akwa.
12 And Hazael says, “Why is my lord weeping?” And he says, “Because I have known the evil that you do to the sons of Israel—you send their fortifications into fire, and you slay their young men with sword, and you dash their sucklings to pieces, and you rip up their pregnant women.”
Mgbe ahụ, Hazael jụrụ Ịlaisha ajụjụ sị, “Ọ bụ gịnị mere onyenwe m ji akwa akwa?” Ịlaisha zara sị ya, “Nʼihi na amaara m ihe ọjọọ ị ga-eme ụmụ Izrel nʼoge dị nʼihu. 13 And Hazael says, “But what [is] your servant—the dog, that he does this great thing?” And Elisha says, “YHWH has showed me you—king of Aram.”
Hazael sịrị, “Olee otu ọrụ gị, bụ nkịta efu, ga-esi nwee ike imezu ihe ukwuu a?” Ịlaisha zara, “Onyenwe anyị egosila m na ị ga-abụ eze Aram.”
14 And he goes from Elisha, and comes to his lord, and he says to him, “What did Elisha say to you?” And he says, “He said to me, You certainly recover.”
Mgbe Hazael, si nʼebe Ịlaisha nọ laa, ọ bịakwutere nna ya ukwu. Mgbe Ben-Hadad jụrụ ya sị, “Gịnị ka Ịlaisha gwara gị?” Hazael zara sị, “Ọ gwara m na ị ga-esi nʼọrịa bilie.”
15 And it comes to pass on the next day, that he takes the coarse cloth, and dips [it] in water, and spreads [it] on his face, and he dies, and Hazael reigns in his stead.
Ma nʼechi ya, Hazael chịịrị akwa na-egbo oyi, banye ya na mmiri jiri ya baa nʼebe eze dina, gbasaa ya nʼihu eze, tutu ruo mgbe ọ nwụrụ. Emesịa, Hazael ghọrọ eze nʼọnọdụ ya.
16 And in the fifth year of Joram son of Ahab, king of Israel—and Jehoshaphat [is] king of Judah—Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, has reigned;
Nʼafọ nke ise nke ọchịchị Joram nwa Ehab eze Izrel, mgbe Jehoshafat bụ eze Juda, ka Jehoram nwa Jehoshafat malitere ọchịchị ya dịka eze Juda.
17 he was a son of thirty-two years in his reigning, and he has reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
Ọ dị iri afọ atọ na abụọ mgbe ọ malitere ịbụ eze, ọ chịrị afọ asatọ na Jerusalem.
18 And he walks in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab did, for a daughter of Ahab was to him for a wife, and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH,
O soro ụzọ ndị eze Izrel dịka ụlọ Ehab mere, nʼihi na ọ lụrụ ada Ehab. O mere ihe dị njọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị.
19 and YHWH was not willing to destroy Judah, for the sake of His servant David, as He said to him, to give a lamp to him—to his sons [for] all the days.
Ma nʼagbanyeghị nke a, nʼihi ohu ya bụ Devid Onyenwe anyị achọghị ibibi Juda. Nʼihi na o kwere nkwa ime ka oriọna dịịrị Devid na ụmụ ụmụ ruo mgbe ebighị ebi.
20 In his days Edom has revolted from under the hand of Judah, and they cause a king to reign over them,

21 and Joram passes over to Zair, and all the chariots with him, and he himself has risen by night, and strikes Edom that is coming around to him, and the heads of the chariots, and the people flee to their tents;

22 and Edom revolts from under the hand of Judah until this day; then Libnah revolts at that time.
Ya mere, Edọm ka na-enupu isi megide Juda, ruo taa. Obodo Libna nupukwara isi nʼotu oge ahụ.
23 And the rest of the matters of Joram and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
Akụkọ ihe niile Jehoram mere, e deghị ha nʼakwụkwọ akụkọ ihe ndị eze Juda mere nʼụbọchị ndụ ha?
24 And Joram lies with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the City of David, and his son Ahaziah reigns in his stead.
Joram sooro ndị nna nna ya ha dina nʼọnwụ, e lie ya nʼebe e liri nna ya ha nʼobodo Devid. Ahazaya nwa ya ghọrọ eze nʼọnọdụ ya.
25 In the twelfth year of Joram son of Ahab, king of Israel, Ahaziah son of Jehoram, king of Judah, has reigned;
Nʼafọ nke iri na abụọ nke ọchịchị Joram nwa Ehab, bụ eze Izrel, ka Ahazaya nwa Jehoram, bụ eze Juda malitere ịchị.
26 Ahaziah [is] a son of twenty-two years in his reigning, and he has reigned one year in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Athaliah daughter of Omri, king of Israel,
Ahazaya gbara iri afọ abụọ na abụọ mgbe ọ malitere ịbụ eze, ọ chịrị otu afọ na Jerusalem. Aha nne ya bụ Atalaya, nwa nwa Omri, eze Izrel
27 and he walks in the way of the house of Ahab, and does evil in the eyes of YHWH, like the house of Ahab, for he [is] son-in-law of the house of Ahab.
O soro ụzọ niile nke ndị ezinaụlọ Ehab, mee ihe dị njọ nʼanya Onyenwe anyị dịka ezinaụlọ Ehab mere, nʼihi na ọ lụrụ nwanyị si nʼezinaụlọ Ehab.
28 And he goes with Joram son of Ahab to battle with Hazael king of Aram in Ramoth-Gilead, and the Arameans strike Joram,
Ahazaya sooro Joram nwa Ehab, gaa ibuso Hazael eze Aram agha na Ramọt Gilead. Ndị Aram merụrụ Joram ahụ.
29 and Joram the king turns back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds with which the Arameans strike him in Ramah, in his fighting with Hazael king of Aram, and Ahaziah son of Jehoram, king of Judah, has gone down to see Joram son of Ahab in Jezreel, for he is sick.
