< 2 Kings 8 >
1 And Elisha spoke to the woman whose son he had revived, saying, “Rise and go, you and your household, and sojourn where you sojourn, for YHWH has called for a famine, and also, it is coming to the land [for] seven years.”
Elisha’n achapa thisa ahindohsa peh numeinu kom’ah chun hitin anaseijin ahi, “Na insungmite kipuijin lang munchom dang khatna chetan ajeh chu Pakaiyin Israel chunga kum sagi kel alhah sahding ahi,” ati.
2 And the woman rises, and does according to the word of the man of God, and goes, she and her household, and sojourns in the land of the Philistines [for] seven years.
Hijeh chun Pathen mipan aseibang bangin numeinu chun aboltan ahi. Amanun ainsung mite apuidohin Philistine gam’ah kum sagi aga cheng tan ahi.
3 And it comes to pass, at the end of seven years, that the woman turns back from the land of the Philistines, and goes out to cry to the king for her house and for her field.
Kellhah akichai jouvin Philistine gam’ah konin ainlam ah ahung kile kit tan ahi. Ain leh agam nungmu kitna dingin lengpa kom’ah achen ahi.
4 And the king is speaking to Gehazi, servant of the man of God, saying, “Please recount to me the whole of the great things that Elisha has done.”
Hitia chu amanu lengpa kom’a agalut chun, lengpa chu Pathen mipa sohpa Gehazi chutoh ana kihoulim pet ahin, lengpa chun Gehazi kom’ah chun, “Elisha thilbol kidangho phabep neiseipeh in,” anatin ahi.
5 And it comes to pass, he is recounting to the king how he had revived the dead, and behold, the woman whose son he had revived is crying to the king for her house and for her field, and Gehazi says, “My lord, O king, this [is] the woman, and this [is] her son, whom Elisha revived.”

6 And the king inquires of the woman, and she recounts to him, and the king appoints a certain eunuch to her, saying, “Give back all that she has, and all the increase of the field from the day of her leaving the land even until now.”
Lengpan numeinu chu adongin, “Hichu dih hinam?” ati. Hichun amanun athusim chu aseipeh tai. Chuin lengpa anoija natong pipui ho khat chu akouvin numeinu thil le lo hochu ale chan kitna dinga agontoh peh dingin anganse tan ahi.
7 And Elisha comes to Damascus, and Ben-Hadad king of Aram is sick, and it is declared to him, saying, “The man of God has come here.”
Elisha chu Ben-hadad damlouva alupna Syria khopi Damascus a chun achen ahi. Mikhat in lengpa kom’ah chun Pathen mipa ahunge tia aseipeh phat chun,
8 And the king says to Hazael, “Take a present in your hand, and go to meet the man of God, and you have sought YHWH by him, saying, Do I revive from this sickness?”
Lengpan Hazael kom’ah chun, “Kipa thilpeh khat chu choijinlang Pathen mipa chu gapenlang, chule hiche kanat na akona hi kadamdoh ding hinam? Pakai chu eidoh pehtan,” tin asollin ahi.
9 And Hazael goes to meet him, and takes a present in his hand, even of every good thing of Damascus, a burden of forty camels, and he comes in and stands before him, and says, “Your son Ben-Hadad, king of Aram, has sent me to you, saying, Do I revive from this sickness?”
Hiti chun Hazael chun sangonsang somli chu Damascus a thilsoh phapen ho chutoh, Elisha kom’a achen, hitin aseitan ahi, “Nasohpa Benhadad Syria lengpan nangkom’a eihinsol ahi chule hiche kanat na akona hi kadamdoh ding hi nam? tin eiga dohpeh in atia eihinsol ahi,” atin ahileh,
10 And Elisha says to him, “Go, say, You certainly do not revive, seeing [that] YHWH has showed me that he surely dies.”
Elishan adonbut in, “Chenlang hiti hin gasei peh tan, nangma nadamdoh teiding ahi, tihi Pakaiyin atahbeh in eimusah in ahi, ahinla amavang thitei ding ahi!” ati.
11 And he sets his face, indeed, he sets [it] until he is ashamed, and the man of God weeps.
Hichun Elisha’n Hazael chun nommo asah tokah sen mitlha louhellin avechang mellin, chujouvin Pathen mipa chu ahung kaplha jengtan ahi.
12 And Hazael says, “Why is my lord weeping?” And he says, “Because I have known the evil that you do to the sons of Israel—you send their fortifications into fire, and you slay their young men with sword, and you dash their sucklings to pieces, and you rip up their pregnant women.”
“Ipithu hitam kapu!” tin, Hazael’in adongin ahile, Elisha in adonbut in, “Nangman Israelte chunga thil tijat um tahtah hohi nahin tohding kahen ahi. 13 And Hazael says, “But what [is] your servant—the dog, that he does this great thing?” And Elisha says, “YHWH has showed me you—king of Aram.”
Hazael lin adonbut in, “Keitobang imacha hilou khat mai maijin chutobang thil nasa chu katoh thei ding ham?” ati. Ahin Elisha’n adonbut in, “Nangma Syria leng nahung hiding ahite Pakaiyin eimusah in ahi,” ati.
14 And he goes from Elisha, and comes to his lord, and he says to him, “What did Elisha say to you?” And he says, “He said to me, You certainly recover.”
Hazael in Elisha adalhan lengpa kom ah akile kittan ahi, hicun lengpa jong ama kom ah chun, “Elisha ipi nahin seipeh em?” tin anadongin ahi. Hazael in adonbut in, “Nangma hi nadamdoh tei ding ahi tin aman eiseipeh e.” ati.
15 And it comes to pass on the next day, that he takes the coarse cloth, and dips [it] in water, and spreads [it] on his face, and he dies, and Hazael reigns in his stead.
Ahinlah ajing nikhon Hazael in ponlum twiya asu-kotin amai akhun athi tokah in amai ah akhuden pehtan ahi. Hijouchun Hazael chun Syria te leng achangin Benhadad akheltan ahi.
16 And in the fifth year of Joram son of Ahab, king of Israel—and Jehoshaphat [is] king of Judah—Jehoram son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, has reigned;
Israel lengpa Ahab chapa Joram vaihom kum nga channa in Judah te leng Jehoshaphat chapa Jehoram min Judahte chunga vai ana homin ahi.
17 he was a son of thirty-two years in his reigning, and he has reigned eight years in Jerusalem.
Jehoram hi leng ahung hichun ama kum somthum le ni ana lhingtan amahin Jerusalem mah kum get lengvai anapon ahi.
18 And he walks in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab did, for a daughter of Ahab was to him for a wife, and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH,
Jehoram hin Israel lengte chonchan ajuijin Ahab lengpa phatmo tobang'in aphamon ahi. Ajeh chu aman Ahab chanu ho lah’a khat ana kichenpin ahi. Hiti chun Jehoram hin Pakai mitmu’n thilsejing ana bollin ahi.
19 and YHWH was not willing to destroy Judah, for the sake of His servant David, as He said to him, to give a lamp to him—to his sons [for] all the days.
Ahinlah Pakaiyin Judah mite ana sumang nompon ahi, ajeh chu aman David toh kitepna ana neijin achilhah ten vai ahopjom ding chule aitih a thaomei banga vahjing dinga anatep peh ahi.
20 In his days Edom has revolted from under the hand of Judah, and they cause a king to reign over them,
Jehoram vaihom sungin, Edomten Judah dounan gal ahin bollun, leng atum’in ahin kitundoh tauvin ahi.
21 and Joram passes over to Zair, and all the chariots with him, and he himself has risen by night, and strikes Edom that is coming around to him, and the heads of the chariots, and the people flee to their tents;
Hichun Jehoram in asakol kangtalai chengse chutoh akon un Zair khopi aga nokhum tauvin ahi. Ahin Edom miten asakol kangtalai chule gal lamkaiho chu ahin umkhum tauvin ahileh ama jong jan noiya chun apotdohin amaho chu jan muthim noija chun adelkhum min ahi. Ahinlah Jehoram chu asepaiten ajam sannun ainlam uvah ana jam san tauvin ahi.
22 and Edom revolts from under the hand of Judah until this day; then Libnah revolts at that time.
Hitihin Edom miten tuni changeiyin Judah a konin chamlhatna ana mutauvin ahi. Libnah khopi injong hichephat sunga chun kiphinna ahin neijun ahi.
23 And the rest of the matters of Joram and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
Jehoram vaihom sunga thilsoh holeh natoh dohho jouse Judah lengte thusim bua akijihlut soh keijin ahi.
24 And Joram lies with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the City of David, and his son Ahaziah reigns in his stead.
Jehoram athi phat chun, David khopia apu apate toh akivui khom’in ahi.
25 In the twelfth year of Joram son of Ahab, king of Israel, Ahaziah son of Jehoram, king of Judah, has reigned;
Ahab chapa Joram lengvai poh kum somle ni channa a hin, Jehoram chapa Ahaziah hin Judah chungah lengvai ana po in ahi.
26 Ahaziah [is] a son of twenty-two years in his reigning, and he has reigned one year in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Athaliah daughter of Omri, king of Israel,
Ahaziah hi leng ahung chan chun ama kum somni le ni alhingin chuleh amahin, Jerusalem ah kum khat vai ana hom’in ahi. Anuchu Israel leng Omri tunu Athaliah ahi.
27 and he walks in the way of the house of Ahab, and does evil in the eyes of YHWH, like the house of Ahab, for he [is] son-in-law of the house of Ahab.
Ahaziah chun Ahab lengpa insung mite chondan dihlou chu ana juiyin ahi. Aman Pakai mitmu’n thiphalou ngen ana bollin ahi. Ajeh chu aman Ahab insung ana kichenpi in ahi.
28 And he goes with Joram son of Ahab to battle with Hazael king of Aram in Ramoth-Gilead, and the Arameans strike Joram,
Ahaziah hin Israel lengpa Ahab chapa Joram chu Ramoth-gilead munnah Syria lengpa Hazael te kisat dingin ana pan khompi in ahi. Syriaten Joram lengpa chu gal kisatna munnah ana kisuhkhah jeh chun,
29 and Joram the king turns back to be healed in Jezreel of the wounds with which the Arameans strike him in Ramah, in his fighting with Hazael king of Aram, and Ahaziah son of Jehoram, king of Judah, has gone down to see Joram son of Ahab in Jezreel, for he is sick.
Jezreel langah akisuh khahna a adamna dingin ana kinunglen, Ramoth kho ah ana lamto un ahi. Hitia chu Joram ana kisuhkhah jeh'in, Judah lengpa Ahaziah chu ama veding in Jezreel langa anachen ahi.
