2 Kings 7
1 And Elisha says, “Hear a word of YHWH! Thus said YHWH: About this time tomorrow, a measure of fine flour [is] at a shekel, and two measures of barley at a shekel, in the Gate of Samaria.”
Und Elischa sprach: Höret das Wort Jehovahs! Also spricht Jehovah: Um diese Zeit morgen das Seah Semmelmehl um einen Schekel und zwei Seah Gerste um einen Schekel im Tore von Samaria!
2 And the captain whom the king has, by whose hand he has been supported, answers the man of God and says, “Behold, YHWH is making windows in the heavens—will this thing be?” And he says, “Behold, you are seeing it with your eyes, and you do not eat thereof.”
Und es antwortete der Wagenkämpfer, auf dessen Hand der König sich stützte, dem Manne Gottes und sprach: Siehe, wenn Jehovah Fenster am Himmel machte, könnte so etwas sein? Er aber sprach: Siehe, du wirst es mit deinen Augen sehen, aber davon essen sollst du nicht.
3 And four men have been leprous at the opening of the gate, and they say to one another, “Why are we sitting here until we have died?
Und es waren vier aussätzige Männer am Eingang des Tores, und sie sagten zueinander: Was sitzen wir hier, bis wir sterben?
4 If we have said, We go into the city, then the famine [is] in the city and we have died there; and if we have sat here, then we have died; and now, come and we go down to the camp of Aram; if they keep us alive, we live, and if they put us to death—we have died.”
Sprächen wir, laßt uns in die Stadt kommen, da ist Hungersnot in der Stadt, und wir stürben dort, und sitzen wir hier, so sterben wir; und nun, lasset uns gehen und zu Arams Lager fallen. Wenn sie uns leben lassen, so leben wir, und töten sie uns, so sterben wir.
5 And they rise in the twilight, to go to the camp of Aram, and they come to the extremity of the camp of Aram, and behold, there is not a man there,
Und sie machten sich in der Dämmerung auf, daß sie zum Lager Arams kämen, und sie kamen bis an das Ende von Arams Lager, und siehe, da war kein Mann.
6 seeing YHWH has caused the camp of Aram to hear a noise of chariot and a noise of horse—a noise of great force, and they say to one another, “Behold, the king of Israel has hired against us the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Egypt, to come against us.”
Und der Herr hatte das Lager Arams das Getöse von Streitwagen und das Getöse von Rossen, und das Getöse einer großen Streitmacht hören lassen, und sie sprachen einer zum anderen: Siehe, der König von Israel hat wider uns gedungen die Könige der Chethiter und die Könige der Ägypter, daß sie wider uns kommen.
7 And they rise and flee in the twilight, and forsake their tents, and their horses, and their donkeys—the camp as it [is]—and flee for their life.
Und sie machten sich auf und flohen in der Dämmerung und verließen ihre Zelte und ihre Rosse und ihre Esel im Lager, so wie es war; und sie flohen für ihre Seele.
8 And these lepers come to the extremity of the camp, and come into one tent, and eat, and drink, and lift up silver, and gold, and garments from there, and go and hide; and they turn back and go into another tent, and lift up from there, and go and hide.
Und diese Aussätzigen kamen bis an das Ende des Lagers und kamen zu dem einen Zelt, und aßen und tranken und hoben auf von da Silber und Gold und Kleider und gingen und legten es hehlings weg, und sie kehrten zurück und kamen in ein anderes Zelt und hoben auf von da und gingen und legten es hehlings weg.
9 And they say to one another, “We are not doing right this day; it [is] a day of tidings, and we are keeping silent; and we have waited until the morning light, then punishment has found us; and now, come and we go in and declare [it] to the house of the king.”
Und sie sprachen, der Mann zu seinem Genossen: Wir tun nicht recht; dieser Tag ist ein Tag der Freudenkunde, wenn wir schweigen und verziehen bis zum Licht des Morgens, so findet uns unsere Missetat; und nun gehet, lasset uns kommen und es ansagen dem Hause des Königs.
10 And they come in, and call to the gatekeeper of the city, and declare for themselves, saying, “We have come to the camp of Aram, and behold, there is no man or sound of man there, but the bound horse, and the bound donkey, and tents as they [are].”
Und sie kamen und riefen dem Torwächter der Stadt und sagten ihnen an und sprachen: Wir sind in das Lager Arams gekommen, und siehe, da war kein Mann, noch eines Menschen Stimme, sondern Rosse waren angebunden und Esel waren angebunden und Zelte, wie sie waren.
11 And he calls the gatekeepers, and they declare [it] to the house of the king within.
Und die Torwächter riefen und sagten es an in das Innere des Hauses des Königs.
12 And the king rises by night and says to his servants, “Now let me declare to you that which the Arameans have done to us; they have known that we are famished, and they go out from the camp to be hidden in the field, saying, When they come out from the city, then we catch them alive, and we enter into the city.”
Und der König stand auf bei Nacht und sprach zu seinen Knechten: Lasset mich euch doch ansagen, was Aram uns getan. Sie wissen, daß wir hungrig sind und gingen aus von dem Lager, sich auf dem Felde zu verstecken, und sagten: So sie aus der Stadt herauskommen, wollen wir sie lebendig fassen und in die Stadt kommen.
13 And one of his servants answers and says, “Then please let them take five of the horses that are left, that have been left in it—behold, they [are] as all the multitude of Israel who have been left in it; behold, they are as all the multitude of Israel who have been consumed—and we send and see.”
Und es antwortete einer von seinen Knechten und sprach: So laß sie doch fünf von den übriggebliebenen Rossen, die darin übriggeblieben sind siehe, sie sind wie all die Menge Israels, die darin übriggeblieben; siehe, sie sind wie alle Menge Israels, die zu Ende ist, und laßt sie uns aussenden und sehen.
14 And they take two chariot-horses, and the king sends [them] after the camp of Aram, saying, “Go, and see.”
Und sie nahmen zwei Streitwagen mit Rossen, und der König sandte sie nach dem Lager Arams und sprach: Gehet und sehet.
15 And they go after them to the Jordan, and behold, all the way is full of garments and vessels that the Arameans have cast away in their haste, and the messengers return and declare [it] to the king.
Und sie gingen hinter ihnen her bis an den Jordan, und siehe, der ganze Weg war voll von Kleidern und Geräten, die Aram in seiner Hast von sich geworfen. Und die Boten kehrten zurück und sagten es dem König an.
16 And the people go out and spoil the camp of Aram, and there is a measure of fine flour at a shekel, and two measures of barley at a shekel, according to the word of YHWH.
Und das Volk ging hinaus und sie beraubten das Lager Arams, und das Seah Semmelmehl war zu haben um einen Schekel und zwei Seah Gerste um einen Schekel, nach dem Worte Jehovahs.
17 And the king has appointed the captain, by whose hand he is supported, over the gate, and the people tread him down in the gate, and he dies, as the man of God spoke, which he spoke in the coming down of the king to him,
Und der König bestellte den Wagenkämpfer, auf dessen Hand er sich stützte, an das Tor, das Volk aber zerstampfte ihn am Tor, daß er starb, wie der Mann Gottes geredet hatte, da er redete, als der König zu ihm hinabkam.
18 indeed, it comes to pass, according to the speaking of the man of God to the king, saying, “Two measures of barley at a shekel, and a measure of fine flour at a shekel are, at this time tomorrow, in the Gate of Samaria”;
Und es geschah, wie der Mann Gottes zum König geredet und gesagt hatte: Zwei Seah Gerste um einen Schekel und ein Seah Semmelmehl um einen Schekel wird es um diese Zeit morgen am Tore Samarias sein.
19 and the captain answers the man of God and says, “And behold, YHWH is making windows in the heavens—will this thing be?” And he says, “Behold, you are seeing it with your eyes, and you do not eat thereof”;
Und der Wagenkämpfer hatte dem Manne Gottes geantwortet und gesagt: Und siehe, wenn Jehovah Fenster am Himmel machte, würde so etwas sein? Und er hatte gesagt: Siehe, du wirst es mit deinen Augen sehen, aber davon essen sollst du nicht.
20 and it comes to him so, and the people tread him down in the gate, and he dies.
Und so geschah es ihm, und das Volk zerstampfte ihn am Tore, daß er starb.
