2 Kings 20
1 In those days Hezekiah has been sick to death, and Isaiah son of Amoz the prophet comes to him and says to him, “Thus said YHWH: Give a charge to your house, for you are dying, and do not live.”
Zu der Zeit ward Hiskia todkrank. Und der Prophet Jesaja, der Sohn des Amoz, kam zu ihm und sprach zu ihm: So spricht der HERR: Beschicke dein Haus; denn du wirst sterben und nicht leben bleiben!
2 And he turns around his face to the wall, and prays to YHWH, saying,
Er aber wandte sein Antlitz zur Wand und betete zum HERRN und sprach:
3 “Ah, now, O YHWH, please remember how I have habitually walked before You in truth and with a perfect heart, and I have done that which [is] good in Your eyes”; and Hezekiah weeps [with] a great weeping.
Ach, HERR, gedenke doch, daß ich vor dir treulich gewandelt habe und mit rechtschaffenem Herzen und habe getan, was dir wohl gefällt. Und Hiskia weinte sehr.
4 And it comes to pass, [when] Isaiah has not [yet] gone out to the middle court, that the word of YHWH has been to him, saying,
Da aber Jesaja noch nicht zur Stadt halb hinausgegangen war, kam des HERRN Wort zu ihm und sprach:
5 “Return, and you have said to Hezekiah, leader of My people, Thus said YHWH, God of your father David: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tear, behold, I give healing to you. On the third day you go up to the house of YHWH;
Kehre um und sage Hiskia, dem Fürsten meines Volkes: So spricht der HERR, der Gott deines Vaters David: Ich habe dein Gebet gehört und deine Tränen gesehen. Siehe, ich will dich gesund machen, am dritten Tage wirst du hinauf in das Haus des HERRN gehen,
6 and I have added fifteen years to your days, and I deliver you and this city out of the hand of the king of Asshur, and have covered over this city for My own sake, and for the sake of My servant David.”
und ich will fünfzehn Jahre zu deinem Leben tun und dich und diese Stadt erretten von dem König von Assyrien und diese Stadt beschirmen um meinetwillen und um meines Knechtes David willen.
7 And Isaiah says, “Take a cake of figs”; and they take and lay [it] on the boil, and he revives.
Und Jesaja sprach: Bringet her ein Pflaster von Feigen! Und da sie es brachten, legten sie es auf die Drüse; und er ward gesund.
8 And Hezekiah says to Isaiah, “What [is] the sign that YHWH gives healing to me, that I have gone up to the house of YHWH on the third day?”
Hiskia aber sprach zu Jesaja: Welches ist das Zeichen, daß mich der HERR wird gesund machen und ich in des HERRN Haus hinaufgehen werde am dritten Tage?
9 And Isaiah says, “This [is] the sign to you from YHWH, that YHWH does the thing that He has spoken—[will] the shadow have gone on ten degrees, or does it turn back ten degrees?”
Jesaja sprach: Das Zeichen wirst du haben vom HERRN, daß der HERR tun wird, was er geredet hat: Soll der Schatten zehn Stufen fürdergehen oder zehn Stufen zurückgehen?
10 And Hezekiah says, “It has been light for the shadow to incline ten degrees; no, but let the shadow turn backward ten degrees.”
Hiskia sprach: Es ist leicht, daß der Schatten zehn Stufen niederwärts gehe; das will ich nicht, sondern daß er zehn Stufen hinter sich zurückgehe.
11 And Isaiah the prophet calls to YHWH, and He brings back the shadow by the degrees that it had gone down in the degrees of Ahaz—backward ten degrees.
Da rief der Prophet den HERRN an; und der Schatten ging hinter sich zurück zehn Stufen am Zeiger Ahas, die er niederwärts gegangen war.
12 At that time Berodach-Baladan son of Baladan, king of Babylon, has sent letters and a present to Hezekiah, for he heard that Hezekiah had been sick;
Zu der Zeit sandte Berodoch-Baladan, der Sohn Baladans, König zu Babel, Briefe und Geschenke zu Hiskia; denn er hatte gehört, daß Hiskia krank gewesen war.
13 and Hezekiah listens to them, and shows them all the house of his treasury, the silver, and the gold, and the spices, and the good ointment, and all the house of his vessels, and all that has been found in his treasuries; there has not been a thing that Hezekiah has not showed them in his house and in all his dominion.
Hiskia aber war fröhlich mit ihnen und zeigte ihnen das ganze Schatzhaus, Silber, Gold, Spezerei und das beste Öl, und das Zeughaus und alles, was in seinen Schätzen vorhanden war. Es war nichts in seinem Hause und in seiner ganzen Herrschaft, das ihnen Hiskia nicht zeigte.
14 And Isaiah the prophet comes to King Hezekiah and says to him, “What did these men say? And from where do they come to you?” And Hezekiah says, “They have come from a far-off land—from Babylon.”
Da kam Jesaja, der Prophet, zum König Hiskia und sprach zu ihm: Was haben diese Leute gesagt? und woher sind sie zu dir gekommen? Hiskia sprach: Sie sind aus fernen Landen zu mir gekommen, von Babel.
15 And he says, “What did they see in your house?” And Hezekiah says, “They saw all that [is] in my house; there has not been a thing that I have not showed them among my treasures.”
Er sprach: Was haben sie gesehen in deinem Hause? Hiskia sprach: Sie haben alles gesehen, was in meinem Hause ist, und ist nichts in meinen Schätzen, was ich ihnen nicht gezeigt hätte.
16 And Isaiah says to Hezekiah, “Hear a word of YHWH:
Da sprach Jesaja zu Hiskia: Höre des HERRN Wort:
17 Behold, days are coming, and all that [is] in your house, and [all] that your father has treasured up until this day, has been carried to Babylon; there is not a thing left, said YHWH;
Siehe, es kommt die Zeit, daß alles wird gen Babel weggeführt werden aus deinem Hause und was deine Väter gesammelt haben bis auf diesen Tag; und wird nichts übriggelassen werden, spricht der HERR.
18 and of your sons who go out from you, whom you beget, they take away, and they have been eunuchs in the palace of the king of Babylon.”
Dazu von den Kindern, die von dir kommen, die du zeugen wirst, werden sie nehmen, daß sie Kämmerer seien im Palast des Königs zu Babel.
19 And Hezekiah says to Isaiah, “The word of YHWH that you have spoken [is] good”; and he says, “Why not, if there is peace and truth in my days?”
Hiskia aber sprach zu Jesaja: Das ist gut, was der HERR geredet hat, und sprach weiter: Es wird doch Friede und Treue sein zu meinen Zeiten.
20 And the rest of the matters of Hezekiah, and all his might, and how he made the pool, and the conduit, and brings in the waters to the city, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
Was mehr von Hiskia zu sagen ist und alle seine Macht und was er getan hat und der Teich und die Wasserleitung, durch die er Wasser in die Stadt geleitet hat, siehe, das ist geschrieben in der Chronik der Könige Juda's.
21 And Hezekiah lies with his fathers, and his son Manasseh reigns in his stead.
Und Hiskia entschlief mit seinen Vätern. Und Manasse, sein Sohn, ward König an seiner Statt.
