2 Kings 15

1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah, king of Judah, has reigned;

൧യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാവായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ ഇരുപത്തേഴാം ആണ്ടിൽ യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ അമസ്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ അസര്യാവ് രാജാവായി.

2 he was a son of sixteen years in his reigning, and he has reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jecholiah of Jerusalem,

൨അവൻ വാഴ്ച തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന് പതിനാറ് വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ അമ്പത്തിരണ്ടു സംവത്സരം യെരൂശലേമിൽ വാണു; യെരൂശലേംകാരിയായ അവന്റെ അമ്മയ്ക്ക് യെഖോല്യാ എന്ന് പേരായിരുന്നു.

3 and he does that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH, according to all that his father Amaziah did,

൩അവൻ തന്റെ അപ്പനായ അമസ്യാവിനെപ്പോലെ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് പ്രസാദമുള്ളത് ചെയ്തു.

4 only, the high places have not been removed—the people are still sacrificing and making incense in high places.

൪എങ്കിലും പൂജാഗിരികൾക്ക് നീക്കംവന്നില്ല; ജനം പൂജാഗിരികളിൽ യാഗം കഴിച്ചും ധൂപം കാട്ടിയും പോന്നു.

5 And YHWH strikes the king, and he is a leper to the day of his death, and he dwells in a separate house, and Jotham son of the king [is] over the house, judging the people of the land.

൫എന്നാൽ യഹോവ കുഷ്ഠരോഗത്താൽ ഈ രാജാവിനെ ബാധിച്ചു. അവൻ ജീവപര്യന്തം കുഷ്ഠരോഗിയായി ജീവിച്ചതിനാൽ ഒരു പ്രത്യേകശാലയിൽ പാർപ്പിച്ചിരുന്നു; രാജകുമാരനായ യോഥാം രാജധാനിക്ക് വിചാരകനായി ദേശത്തെ ജനത്തിന് ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്തു.

6 And the rest of the matters of Azariah and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

൬അസര്യാവിന്റെ മറ്റ് വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യെഹൂദാ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

7 And Azariah lies with his fathers, and they bury him with his fathers in the city of David, and his son Jotham reigns in his stead.

൭അസര്യാവ് തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവർ അവനെ ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ യോഥാം അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam has reigned over Israel in Samaria, six months,

൮യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ അസര്യാവിന്റെ മുപ്പത്തെട്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ മകനായ സെഖര്യാവ് യിസ്രായേലിന് രാജാവായി ശമര്യയിൽ ആറ് മാസം വാണു.

9 and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH as his fathers did; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.

൯അവൻ തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അനിഷ്ടമായത് ചെയ്തു; യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ട് പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ച നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ പാപങ്ങളെ വിട്ടുമാറിയില്ല.

10 And Shallum son of Jabesh conspires against him, and strikes him before the people, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.

൧൦യാബേശിന്റെ മകനായ ശല്ലൂം അവനെതിരെ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി ജനത്തിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽവെച്ച് അവനെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്ന് അവനു പകരം രാജാവായി.

11 And the rest of the matters of Zechariah, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

൧൧സെഖര്യാവിന്റെ മറ്റ് വൃത്താന്തങ്ങൾ യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

12 It [is] the word of YHWH that He spoke to Jehu, saying, “Sons of the fourth [generation] sit on the throne of Israel for you”; and it is so.

൧൨യഹോവ യേഹൂവിനോട്: “നിന്റെ പുത്രന്മാർ നാലാം തലമുറവരെ യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തിൽ ഇരിക്കും” എന്ന് അരുളിച്ചെയ്ത വചനം ഇതാകുന്നു; അങ്ങനെ തന്നേ സംഭവിച്ചു.

13 Shallum son of Jabesh has reigned in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigns a month of days in Samaria;

൧൩യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ ഉസ്സീയാവിന്റെ മുപ്പത്തൊമ്പതാം ആണ്ടിൽ യാബേശിന്റെ മകനായ ശല്ലൂം രാജാവായി; ശമര്യയിൽ ഒരു മാസം വാണു.

14 and Menahem son of Gadi goes up from Tirzah and comes to Samaria, and strikes Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.

൧൪എന്നാൽ ഗാദിയുടെ മകനായ മെനഹേം തിർസയിൽനിന്നു പുറപ്പെട്ട് ശമര്യയിൽ വന്നു, യാബേശിന്റെ മകനായ ശല്ലൂമിനെ ശമര്യയിൽവെച്ച് വെട്ടിക്കൊന്ന് അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

15 And the rest of the matters of Shallum and his conspiracy that he made, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

൧൫ശല്ലൂമിന്റെ മറ്റുള്ള വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ കൂട്ടുകെട്ടും യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

16 Then Menahem strikes Tiphsah, and all who [are] in it, and its borders from Tirzah, for it did not open [to him], and he strikes [it], [and] he has ripped up all its pregnant women.

൧൬മെനഹേം, തിപ്സഹും അതിലുള്ള സകലവും, തിർസ്സാതൊട്ട് അതിനോട് ചേർന്ന പ്രദേശങ്ങളും ശൂന്യമാക്കി; അവർ പട്ടണവാതിൽ തുറന്നു കൊടുക്കായ്കയാൽ അവൻ അതിനെ ശൂന്യമാക്കുകയും അതിലെ ഗർഭിണികളുടെ ഉദരം പിളർന്നുകളകയും ചെയ്തു.

17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi has reigned over Israel in Samaria, ten years.

൧൭യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ അസര്യാവിന്റെ വാഴ്ചയുടെ മുപ്പത്തൊമ്പതാം ആണ്ടിൽ ഗാദിയുടെ മകൻ മെനഹേം യിസ്രായേലിന് രാജാവായി; ശമര്യയിൽ പത്തു സംവത്സരം വാണു.

18 And he does evil in the eyes of YHWH; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin, all his days.

൧൮അവൻ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അനിഷ്ടമായത് ചെയ്തു; യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ട് പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ച നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ ജീവപര്യന്തം വിട്ടുമാറിയതുമില്ല.

19 Pul king of Asshur has come against the land, and Menahem gives one thousand talents of silver to Pul, for his hand being with him to strengthen the kingdom in his hand.

൧൯അശ്ശൂർ രാജാവായ പൂൽ ദേശത്തെ ആക്രമിച്ചു; പൂൽ, തന്നെ സഹായിക്കേണ്ടതിനും രാജത്വം തനിക്ക് ഉറപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിനുമായി, മെനഹേം അവന് ഏകദേശം 34,000 കിലോഗ്രാം വെള്ളി കൊടുത്തു.

20 And Menahem brings out the silver [from] Israel, [from] all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Asshur, fifty shekels of silver for each one, and the king of Asshur turns back and has not stayed there in the land.

൨൦അശ്ശൂർ രാജാവിന് കൊടുക്കുവാൻ മെനഹേം ഈ പണം യിസ്രായേലിലെ ധനവാന്മാരോട് ഏകദേശം 570 ഗ്രാം വെള്ളിവീതം പിരിച്ചെടുത്തു; അങ്ങനെ അശ്ശൂർ രാജാവ് ദേശത്ത് താമസം ഉറപ്പിക്കാതെ മടങ്ങിപ്പോയി.

21 And the rest of the matters of Menahem and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

൨൧മെനഹേമിന്റെ മറ്റ് വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

22 And Menahem lies with his fathers, and his son Pekahiah reigns in his stead.

൨൨മെനഹേം തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; അവന്റെ മകനായ പെക്കഹ്യാവ് അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem has reigned over Israel in Samaria, two years,

൨൩യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ ഉസ്സീയാവിന്റെ അമ്പതാം ആണ്ടിൽ മെനഹേമിന്റെ മകനായ പെക്കഹ്യാവ് യിസ്രായേലിന് രാജാവായി; ശമര്യയിൽ രണ്ട് സംവത്സരം വാണു.

24 and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.

൨൪അവൻ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് അനിഷ്ടമായത് ചെയ്തു; യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ട് പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ച നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ വിട്ടുമാറിയതുമില്ല.

25 And Pekah son of Remaliah, his captain, conspires against him, and strikes him in Samaria, in the high place of the house of the king with Argob and Arieh; and fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites [were] with him, and he puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.

൨൫എന്നാൽ അവന്റെ അകമ്പടിനായകനായ രെമല്യാവിന്റെ മകൻ പേക്കഹ്, അവന് വിരോധമായി കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി. അവൻ ഗിലെയാദ്യരിൽ അമ്പതുപേരുടെ സഹായത്തോടുകൂടി ശമര്യാരാജധാനിയുടെ കോട്ടയിൽവെച്ച് അവനെ അർഗ്ഗോബിനോടും അര്യേയോടുംകൂടെ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്ന് അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

26 And the rest of the matters of Pekahiah and all that he did, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

൨൬പെക്കഹ്യാവിന്റെ മറ്റ് വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah has reigned over Israel in Samaria, twenty years,

൨൭യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ അസര്യാവിന്റെ അമ്പത്തിരണ്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ രെമല്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ പേക്കഹ് യിസ്രായേലിന് രാജാവായി ശമര്യയിൽ ഇരുപത് സംവത്സരം വാണു.

28 and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH, he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.

൨൮അവൻ യഹോവക്കു അനിഷ്ടമായത് ചെയ്തു, യിസ്രായേലിനെക്കൊണ്ട് പാപം ചെയ്യിച്ച നെബാത്തിന്റെ മകനായ യൊരോബെയാമിന്റെ പാപങ്ങൾ വിട്ടുമാറിയതുമില്ല.

29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Asshur has come, and takes Ijon, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and removes them to Asshur.

൨൯യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാവായ പേക്കഹിന്റെ കാലത്ത് അശ്ശൂർ രാജാവായ തിഗ്ലത്ത്-പിലേസർ വന്ന് ഈയോനും ആബേൽ-ബേത്ത്-മയഖയും യാനോവഹും കാദേശും ഹാസോരും ഗിലെയാദും ഗലീലയും നഫ്താലിദേശം മുഴുവനും പിടിച്ചടക്കി നിവാസികളെ ബദ്ധരാക്കി അശ്ശൂരിലേക്ക് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.

30 And Hoshea son of Elah makes a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah, and strikes him, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.

൩൦എന്നാൽ ഏലാവിന്റെ മകനായ ഹോശേയ, രെമല്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ പേക്കഹിന് വിരോധമായി കൂട്ടുകെട്ടുണ്ടാക്കി, അവനെ ഉസ്സീയാവിന്റെ മകനായ യോഥാമിന്റെ ഇരുപതാം ആണ്ടിൽ വെട്ടിക്കൊന്ന് അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.

31 And the rest of the matters of Pekah and all that he did, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

൩൧പേക്കഹിന്റെ മറ്റ് വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ചെയ്ത സകലതും യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

32 In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah, king of Judah, has reigned.

൩൨യിസ്രായേൽ രാജാവായ രെമല്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ പേക്കഹിന്റെ രണ്ടാം ആണ്ടിൽ യെഹൂദാ രാജാവായ ഉസ്സീയാവിന്റെ മകൻ യോഥാം രാജാവായി.

33 He was a son of twenty-five years in his reigning, and he has reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jerusha daughter of Zadok,

൩൩അവൻ വാഴ്ച തുടങ്ങിയപ്പോൾ അവന് ഇരുപത്തഞ്ച് വയസ്സായിരുന്നു; അവൻ യെരൂശലേമിൽ പതിനാറ് സംവത്സരം വാണു; അവന്റെ അമ്മക്ക് യെരൂശാ എന്ന് പേരായിരുന്നു; അവൾ സാദോക്കിന്റെ മകൾ ആയിരുന്നു.

34 and he does that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH; he has done according to all that his father Uzziah did.

൩൪അവൻ യഹോവയ്ക്ക് പ്രസാദമായത് ചെയ്തു; തന്റെ അപ്പനായ ഉസ്സീയാവ് ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഒക്കെയും ചെയ്തു.

35 Only, the high places have not been removed—the people are still sacrificing and making incense in high places; he has built the high gate of the house of YHWH.

൩൫എങ്കിലും പൂജാഗിരികൾക്ക് നീക്കംവന്നില്ല; ജനം പൂജാഗിരികളിൽ യാഗം കഴിച്ചും ധൂപം കാട്ടിയും പോന്നു; അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന്റെ മുകളിലുള്ള വാതിൽ പണിതു.

36 And the rest of the matters of Jotham and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?

൩൬യോഥാമിന്റെ മറ്റ് വൃത്താന്തങ്ങളും അവൻ ചെയ്തതൊക്കെയും യെഹൂദാ രാജാക്കന്മാരുടെ വൃത്താന്തപുസ്തകത്തിൽ എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നുവല്ലോ.

37 In those days YHWH has begun to send Rezin king of Amram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.

൩൭ആ കാലത്ത് യഹോവ അരാം രാജാവായ രെസീനെയും രെമല്യാവിന്റെ മകനായ പേക്കഹിനെയും യെഹൂദക്കുനേരെ അയച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.

38 And Jotham lies with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the city of his father David, and his son Ahaz reigns in his stead.

൩൮യോഥാം തന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെപ്പോലെ നിദ്രപ്രാപിച്ചു; ദാവീദിന്റെ നഗരത്തിൽ അവന്റെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ അടുക്കൽ അവനെ അടക്കം ചെയ്തു; അവന്റെ മകനായ ആഹാസ് അവന് പകരം രാജാവായി.
