2 Kings 15
1 In the twenty-seventh year of Jeroboam king of Israel, Azariah son of Amaziah, king of Judah, has reigned;
La vingt-septième année de Jéroboam, roi d'Israël, régna Azarias, fils d'Amasias, roi de Juda.
2 he was a son of sixteen years in his reigning, and he has reigned fifty-two years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jecholiah of Jerusalem,
Il avait seize ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna cinquante-deux ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère se nommait Jéchélia, de Jérusalem.
3 and he does that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH, according to all that his father Amaziah did,
Il fit ce qui est droit aux yeux de Yahweh, selon tout ce qu'avait fait Amasias, son père.
4 only, the high places have not been removed—the people are still sacrificing and making incense in high places.
Seulement les hauts lieux ne disparurent point; le peuple continuait à offrir des sacrifices et des parfums sur les hauts lieux.
5 And YHWH strikes the king, and he is a leper to the day of his death, and he dwells in a separate house, and Jotham son of the king [is] over the house, judging the people of the land.
Yahweh frappa le roi, qui fut lépreux jusqu'au jour de sa mort et demeura dans une maison écartée. Joatham, fils du roi, était à la tête de la maison, jugeant le peuple du pays.
6 And the rest of the matters of Azariah and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
Le reste des actes d'Azarias, et tout ce qu'il a fait, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda?
7 And Azariah lies with his fathers, and they bury him with his fathers in the city of David, and his son Jotham reigns in his stead.
Azarias se coucha avec ses pères, et on l'enterra avec ses pères dans la cité de David; et Joatham, son fils, régna à sa place.
8 In the thirty-eighth year of Azariah king of Judah, Zechariah son of Jeroboam has reigned over Israel in Samaria, six months,
La trente-huitième année d'Azarias, roi de Juda, Zacharie, fils de Jéroboam, régna sur Israël à Samarie; son règne fut de six mois.
9 and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH as his fathers did; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.
Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahweh, comme avaient fait ses pères; il ne se détourna pas des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nabat, qui avait fait pécher Israël.
10 And Shallum son of Jabesh conspires against him, and strikes him before the people, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.
Sellum, fils de Jabès, conspira contre lui et, l'ayant frappé devant le peuple, il le mit à mort, et régna à sa place.
11 And the rest of the matters of Zechariah, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Le reste des actes de Zacharie, voici que cela est écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël.
12 It [is] the word of YHWH that He spoke to Jehu, saying, “Sons of the fourth [generation] sit on the throne of Israel for you”; and it is so.
Telle était la parole de Yahweh, qu'il avait dite à Jéhu: « Tes fils jusqu'à la quatrième génération seront assis sur le trône d'Israël. » Et il en fut ainsi.
13 Shallum son of Jabesh has reigned in the thirty-ninth year of Uzziah king of Judah, and he reigns a month of days in Samaria;
Sellum, fils de Jabès, devint roi la trente-neuvième année d'Ozias, roi de Juda, et il régna pendant un mois à Samarie.
14 and Menahem son of Gadi goes up from Tirzah and comes to Samaria, and strikes Shallum son of Jabesh in Samaria, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.
Manahem, fils de Gadi, monta de Thersa et, étant venu à Samarie, il frappa dans Samarie Sellum, fils de Jabès, et le mit à mort; et il régna à sa place.
15 And the rest of the matters of Shallum and his conspiracy that he made, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Le reste des actes de Sellum, et la conspiration qu'il ourdit, voici que cela est écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël.
16 Then Menahem strikes Tiphsah, and all who [are] in it, and its borders from Tirzah, for it did not open [to him], and he strikes [it], [and] he has ripped up all its pregnant women.
Alors Manahem, étant parti de Thersa, frappa Thapsa et tous ceux qui y étaient, avec son territoire; il la frappa, parce qu'elle n'avait pas ouvert ses portes, et il fendit le ventre de toutes les femmes enceintes.
17 In the thirty-ninth year of Azariah king of Judah, Menahem son of Gadi has reigned over Israel in Samaria, ten years.
La trente-neuvième année d'Azarias, roi de Juda, Manahem, fils de Gadi, devint roi sur Israël; il régna dix ans à Samarie.
18 And he does evil in the eyes of YHWH; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin, all his days.
Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahweh, il ne se détourna pas, tant qu'il vécut, des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nabat, qui avait fait pécher Israël.
19 Pul king of Asshur has come against the land, and Menahem gives one thousand talents of silver to Pul, for his hand being with him to strengthen the kingdom in his hand.
Phul, roi d'Assyrie, vint dans le pays, et Manahem donna à Phul mille talents d'argent pour qu'il lui portât secours, et qu'il affermît le royaume dans sa main.
20 And Menahem brings out the silver [from] Israel, [from] all the mighty men of wealth, to give to the king of Asshur, fifty shekels of silver for each one, and the king of Asshur turns back and has not stayed there in the land.
Manahem leva cet argent sur Israël, sur tous ceux qui avaient de grandes richesses, afin de le donner au roi d'Assyrie; il exigea de chacun cinquante sicles d'argent. Le roi d'Assyrie s'en retourna et ne s'arrêta pas là, dans le pays.
21 And the rest of the matters of Menahem and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?

22 And Menahem lies with his fathers, and his son Pekahiah reigns in his stead.
Manahem se coucha avec ses pères; et Phacéia, son fils, régna à sa place.
23 In the fiftieth year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekahiah son of Menahem has reigned over Israel in Samaria, two years,
La cinquantième année d'Azarias, roi de Juda, Phacéia, fils de Manahem, régna sur Israël à Samarie; son règne fut de deux ans.
24 and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH; he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.
Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahweh; il ne se détourna pas des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nabat, qui avait fait pécher Israël.
25 And Pekah son of Remaliah, his captain, conspires against him, and strikes him in Samaria, in the high place of the house of the king with Argob and Arieh; and fifty men of the sons of the Gileadites [were] with him, and he puts him to death, and reigns in his stead.
Phacée, fils de Romélias, son officier, conspira contre lui; il le frappa à Samarie dans la tour de la maison du roi, ainsi qu'Argob et Arié; il avait avec lui cinquante hommes d'entre les fils des Galaadites. Il fit mourir Phacéia, et régna à sa place.
26 And the rest of the matters of Pekahiah and all that he did, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.

27 In the fifty-second year of Azariah king of Judah, Pekah son of Remaliah has reigned over Israel in Samaria, twenty years,
La cinquante-deuxième année d'Azarias, roi de Juda, Phacée, fils de Romélias, régna sur Israël à Samarie; son règne fut de vingt ans.
28 and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH, he has not turned aside from the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin.
Il fit ce qui est mal aux yeux de Yahweh, il ne se détourna pas des péchés de Jéroboam, fils de Nabat, qui avait fait pécher Israël.
29 In the days of Pekah king of Israel, Tiglath-Pileser king of Asshur has come, and takes Ijon, and Abel-Beth-Maachah, and Janoah, and Kedesh, and Hazor, and Gilead, and Galilee, all the land of Naphtali, and removes them to Asshur.
Du temps de Phacée, roi d'Israël, Téglathphalasar, roi d'Assyrie, vint et prit Ajon, Abel-Beth-Machaa, Janoé, Cédès, Asor, Galaad et la Galilée, tout le pays de Nephthali, et il emmena captifs les habitants en Assyrie.
30 And Hoshea son of Elah makes a conspiracy against Pekah son of Remaliah, and strikes him, and puts him to death, and reigns in his stead, in the twentieth year of Jotham son of Uzziah.
Osée, fils d'Ela, ayant formé une conspiration contre Phacée, fils de Romélias, le frappa et le fit mourir; puis il régna à sa place, la vingtième année de Joatham, fils d'Ozias.
31 And the rest of the matters of Pekah and all that he did, behold, they are written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel.
Le reste des actes de Phacée, et tout ce qu'il a fait, voici que cela est écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois d'Israël.
32 In the second year of Pekah son of Remaliah, king of Israel, Jotham son of Uzziah, king of Judah, has reigned.
La deuxième année de Phacée, fils de Romélias, roi d'Israël, régna Joatham, fils d'Ozias, roi de Juda.
33 He was a son of twenty-five years in his reigning, and he has reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Jerusha daughter of Zadok,
Il avait vingt-cinq ans lorsqu'il devint roi, et il régna seize ans à Jérusalem. Sa mère s'appelait Jérusa, fille de Sadoc.
34 and he does that which [is] right in the eyes of YHWH; he has done according to all that his father Uzziah did.
Il fit ce qui est droit aux yeux de Yahweh; il agit entièrement comme avait agi Ozias, son père.
35 Only, the high places have not been removed—the people are still sacrificing and making incense in high places; he has built the high gate of the house of YHWH.
Seulement les hauts lieux ne disparurent point; le peuple continuait d'offrir des sacrifices et des parfums sur les hauts lieux. Joatham bâtit la porte supérieure de la maison de Yahweh.
36 And the rest of the matters of Jotham and all that he did, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Judah?
Le reste des actes de Joatham, et tout ce qu'il a fait, cela n'est-il pas écrit dans le livre des Chroniques des rois de Juda?
37 In those days YHWH has begun to send Rezin king of Amram and Pekah son of Remaliah against Judah.
Dans ce temps-là, Yahweh commença à envoyer contre Juda Rasin, roi de Syrie, et Phacée, fils de Romélias.
38 And Jotham lies with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the city of his father David, and his son Ahaz reigns in his stead.
Joatham se coucha avec ses pères, et il fut enterré avec ses pères dans la cité de David, son père. Achaz, son fils, régna à sa place.
