2 Kings 13
1 In the twenty-third year of Joash son of Ahaziah, king of Judah, Jehoahaz son of Jehu has reigned over Israel in Samaria, seventeen years,
Joásnak, az Akházia fiának, Júda királyának huszonharmadik esztendejében lett király Joákház, a Jéhu fia Izráelen Samariában tizenhét esztendeig.
2 and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH, and goes after the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat, that he caused Israel to sin—he did not turn aside from it,
És gonoszul cselekedék az Úr szemei előtt, és követé Jeroboámnak, a Nébát fiának bűneit, a ki bűnbe ejté az Izráelt, és nem szakadt el azoktól.
3 and the anger of YHWH burns against Israel, and He gives them into the hand of Hazael king of Aram, and into the hand of Ben-Hadad son of Hazael, all the days.
És felgerjedt az Úr haragja Izráel ellen, és adá őket Hazáelnek, a Siria királyának kezébe, és Benhadádnak, a Hazáel fiának kezébe, az ő életének minden idejében.
4 And Jehoahaz appeases the face of YHWH, and YHWH listens to him, for He has seen the oppression of Israel, for the king of Aram has oppressed them—
De könyörgött Joákház az Úrnak, és meghallgatá őt az Úr; mert megtekintette az Izráel nyomorúságát, hogy mikép nyomorgatja őket Siria királya.
5 and YHWH gives a savior to Israel, and they go out from under the hand of Aram, and the sons of Israel dwell in their tents as before;
És az Isten szabadítót küldött Izráelnek, a ki megmentette őket a Siriabeliek hatalmától, hogy az Izráel fiai lakhassanak az ő sátoraikban, mint azelőtt.
6 only, they have not turned aside from the sins of the house of Jeroboam that he caused Israel to sin, therein they walked, and also, the Asherah has remained in Samaria—
De még sem távoztak el a Jeroboám házának bűneitől, a ki bűnbe ejté az Izráelt, hanem azokban jártak; sőt az Asera is helyén maradt Samariában;
7 for he did not leave to Jehoahaz of the people except fifty horsemen, and ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen, for the king of Aram has destroyed them, and makes them as dust for threshing.
Pedig nem hagyattatott meg Joákháznak több nép, mint ötven lovag, tíz szekér és tízezer gyalogos; a többit mind megölte Siria királya, és olyanná tette, mint a cséplő pora.
8 And the rest of the matters of Jehoahaz, and all that he did, and his might, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
Joákház egyéb dolgai pedig és minden cselekedetei és az ő ereje, vajjon nincsenek-é megírva az Izráel királyainak krónika-könyvében?
9 And Jehoahaz lies with his fathers, and they bury him in Samaria, and his son Joash reigns in his stead.
És elaluvék Joákház az ő atyáival, és eltemették őt Samariában; és az ő fia, Joás, uralkodék ő helyette.
10 In the thirty-seventh year of Joash king of Judah, Jehoash son of Jehoahaz has reigned over Israel in Samaria, sixteen years,
Joásnak, a Júda királyának harminczhetedik esztendejében lett a király Joás, a Joákház fia, Izráelen Samariában, tizenhat esztendeig.
11 and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH, he has not turned aside from all the sins of Jeroboam son of Nebat that he caused Israel to sin, therein he walked.
És gonoszul cselekedék az Úr szemei előtt, és nem távozék el Jeroboámnak, a Nébát fiának semmi bűnétől, a ki az Izráelt bűnbe ejté, hanem azokban járt.
12 And the rest of the matters of Joash, and all that he did, and his might with which he fought with Amaziah king of Judah, are they not written on the scroll of the Chronicles of the Kings of Israel?
Joásnak egyéb dolgai pedig és valamit cselekedett és az ő erőssége, a melylyel Amásia, a Júda királya ellen harczolt, vajjon nincsenek-é megírva az Izráel királyainak krónika-könyvében?
13 And Joash lies with his fathers, and Jeroboam has sat on his throne, and Joash is buried in Samaria with the kings of Israel.
És elaluvék Joás az ő atyáival, és Jeroboám ült az ő királyi székibe; és eltemetteték Joás Samariában, az Izráel királyai mellé.
14 And Elisha has been sick with his sickness in which he dies, and Joash king of Israel comes down to him and weeps on his face, and says, “My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and its horsemen.”
És megbetegedett Elizeus olyan betegséggel, a melybe bele is halt, és lement hozzá Joás, az Izráel királya, és arczára borulván sírt és monda: Édes atyám, édes atyám! Izráel szekerei és lovagjai!
15 And Elisha says to him, “Take bow and arrows”: and he takes bow and arrows for himself.
És monda néki Elizeus: Végy kézívet és nyilakat. És ő kézívet és nyilakat vett kezébe.
16 And he says to the king of Israel, “Place your hand on the bow”; and he places his hand, and Elisha puts his hands on the hands of the king,
Akkor monda az Izráel királyának: Fogd meg kezeddel a kézívet. És ő megfogván azt kezével, Elizeus is rátette kezeit a király kezeire;
17 and says, “Open the window eastward”; and he opens, and Elisha says, “Shoot,” and he shoots; and he says, “An arrow of salvation from YHWH, and an arrow of salvation against Aram, and you have struck Aram, in Aphek, until consuming.”
És monda: Nyisd ki az ablakot napkelet felől. És mikor kinyitotta, monda Elizeus: Lőjj! És lőtt. Akkor monda: Az Úrnak győzedelmes nyíla ez, győzedelmes nyíl a Siriabeliek ellen; mert megvered a Siriabelieket Afekben a megsemmisülésig.
18 And he says, “Take the arrows,” and he takes; and he says to the king of Israel, “Strike to the earth”; and he strikes three times, and stays.
Monda azután: Vedd fel a nyilakat. És felvette. Ő pedig monda az Izráel királyának: Lőjj a földbe, és bele lőtt a földbe háromszor; azután abbahagyta.
19 And the man of God is angry against him and says, “By striking five or six times then you had struck Aram until consuming; but now you [only] strike Aram three times.”
Akkor megharaguvék reá az Isten embere, és monda: Ötször vagy hatszor kellett volna lőnöd, akkor megverted volna a Siriabelieket a megsemmisülésig; de így már csak háromszor vered meg a Siriabelieket.
20 And Elisha dies, and they bury him, and troops of Moab come into the land at the coming in of the year,
Azután meghalt Elizeus, és eltemették. A moábita portyázó csapatok pedig az országba törtek a következő esztendőben.
21 and it comes to pass, they are burying a man, and behold, they have seen the troop, and cast the man into the grave of Elisha, and the man goes and comes against the bones of Elisha, and lives, and rises on his feet.
És történt, hogy egy embert temettek, és mikor meglátták a csapatokat, gyorsan odatették azt az embert az Elizeus sírjába; de a mint odajutott és hozzáért az Elizeus tetemeihez, megelevenedett és lábaira állott.
22 And Hazael king of Aram has oppressed Israel all the days of Jehoahaz,
Hazáel pedig, Siria királya nyomorgatá az Izráelt Joákház minden napjaiban.
23 and YHWH favors them, and pities them, and turns to them for the sake of His covenant with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, and has not been willing to destroy them, nor to cast them from His presence as yet.
De megkegyelmezett az Úr nékik, és megkönyörült rajtok, és hozzájok tért az ő szövetségéért, a melyet kötött volt Ábrahámmal, Izsákkal és Jákóbbal, és nem akarta őket elveszíteni, sem el nem vetette őket az ő orczája elől mind ez ideig.
24 And Hazael king of Aram dies, and his son Ben-Hadad reigns in his stead,
És meghalt Hazáel, Siria királya, és az ő fia, Benhadád lett helyette a király.
25 and Jehoash son of Jehoahaz turns and takes the cities out of the hand of Ben-Hadad son of Hazael that he had taken out of the hand of his father Jehoahaz in war; Joash has struck him three times, and he brings back the cities of Israel.
És visszavevé Joás, a Joákház fia Benhadádnak, a Hazáel fiának kezéből a városokat, a melyeket erővel elvett volt Joákháznak, az ő atyjának kezéből. Háromszor veré meg őt Joás, és visszaszerezte Izráel városait.
