< 2 Corinthians 5 >

1 For we have known that if the tent of our earthly house may be thrown down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands—perpetual—in the heavens, (aiōnios g166)
aparam asmaakam etasmin paarthive duu. syaruupe ve"smani jiir. ne satii"svare. na nirmmitam akarak. rtam asmaakam anantakaalasthaayi ve"smaika. m svarge vidyata iti vaya. m jaaniima. h| (aiōnios g166)
2 for also in this we groan, earnestly desiring to clothe ourselves with our dwelling that is from Heaven,
yato hetoretasmin ve"smani ti. s.thanto vaya. m ta. m svargiiya. m vaasa. m paridhaatum aakaa"nk. syamaa. naa ni. h"svasaama. h|
3 if so be that, having clothed ourselves, we will not be found naked,
tathaapiidaaniimapi vaya. m tena na nagnaa. h kintu parihitavasanaa manyaamahe|
4 for we also who are in the tent groan, being burdened, seeing we do not wish to unclothe ourselves, but to clothe ourselves, that the mortal may be swallowed up of life.
etasmin duu. sye ti. s.thanato vaya. m kli"syamaanaa ni. h"svasaama. h, yato vaya. m vaasa. m tyaktum icchaamastannahi kintu ta. m dvitiiya. m vaasa. m paridhaatum icchaama. h, yatastathaa k. rte jiivanena martya. m grasi. syate|
5 And He who worked us to this very thing [is] God, who also gave to us the deposit of the Spirit;
etadartha. m vaya. m yena s. r.s. taa. h sa ii"svara eva sa caasmabhya. m satya"nkaarasya pa. nasvaruupam aatmaana. m dattavaan|
6 having courage, then, at all times, and knowing that being at home in the body, we are away from home from the LORD—
ataeva vaya. m sarvvadotsukaa bhavaama. h ki nca "sariire yaavad asmaabhi rnyu. syate taavat prabhuto duure pro. syata iti jaaniima. h,
7 for we walk through faith, not through sight—
yato vaya. m d. r.s. timaarge na caraama. h kintu vi"svaasamaarge|
8 we have courage, and are well pleased, rather, to be away from the home of the body, and to be at home with the LORD.
apara nca "sariiraad duure pravastu. m prabho. h sannidhau nivastu ncaakaa"nk. syamaa. naa utsukaa bhavaama. h|
9 We are also ambitious for this reason, whether at home or away from home, to be well pleasing to Him,
tasmaadeva kaara. naad vaya. m tasya sannidhau nivasantastasmaad duure pravasanto vaa tasmai rocitu. m yataamahe|
10 for it is necessary for all of us to have appeared before the judgment seat of the Christ, that each one may receive the things [done] through the body, in reference to the things that he did, whether good or evil;
yasmaat "sariiraavasthaayaam ekaikena k. rtaanaa. m karmma. naa. m "subhaa"subhaphalapraaptaye sarvvaismaabhi. h khrii. s.tasya vicaaraasanasammukha upasthaatavya. m|
11 having known, therefore, the fear of the LORD, we persuade men, and we are revealed to God, and I also hope to have been revealed in your consciences;
ataeva prabho rbhayaanakatva. m vij naaya vaya. m manujaan anunayaama. h ki nce"svarasya gocare saprakaa"saa bhavaama. h, yu. smaaka. m sa. mvedagocare. api saprakaa"saa bhavaama ityaa"sa. msaamahe|
12 for we do not again recommend ourselves to you, but we are giving occasion to you of glorifying in our behalf, that you may have [something] in reference to those glorifying in face and not in heart;
anena vaya. m yu. smaaka. m sannidhau puna. h svaan pra"sa. msaama iti nahi kintu ye mano vinaa mukhai. h "slaaghante tebhya. h pratyuttaradaanaaya yuuya. m yathaasmaabhi. h "slaaghitu. m "saknutha taad. r"sam upaaya. m yu. smabhya. m vitaraama. h|
13 for whether we were beside ourselves, [it was] to God; whether we be of sound mind, [it is] to you,
yadi vaya. m hataj naanaa bhavaamastarhi tad ii"svaraarthaka. m yadi ca saj naanaa bhavaamastarhi tad yu. smadarthaka. m|
14 for the love of the Christ constrains us, having judged thus: that if one died for all, then the whole died,
vaya. m khrii. s.tasya premnaa samaak. r.syaamahe yata. h sarvve. saa. m vinimayena yadyeko jano. amriyata tarhi te sarvve m. rtaa ityaasmaabhi rbudhyate|
15 and He died for all, that those living may no longer live to themselves, but to Him who died for them, and was raised again.
apara nca ye jiivanti te yat svaartha. m na jiivanti kintu te. saa. m k. rte yo jano m. rta. h punarutthaapita"sca tamuddi"sya yat jiivanti tadarthameva sa sarvve. saa. m k. rte m. rtavaan|
16 So that we, from now on, have known no one according to the flesh, and even if we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him [thus] no longer;
ato hetorita. h para. m ko. apyasmaabhi rjaatito na pratij naatavya. h|yadyapi puurvva. m khrii. s.to jaatito. asmaabhi. h pratij naatastathaapiidaanii. m jaatita. h puna rna pratij naayate|
17 so that if anyone [is] in Christ—[he is] a new creature; the old things passed away, behold, all things have become new.
kenacit khrii. s.ta aa"srite nuutanaa s. r.s. ti rbhavati puraatanaani lupyante pa"sya nikhilaani naviinaani bhavanti|
18 And all things [are] of God, who reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of the reconciliation,
sarvva ncaitad ii"svarasya karmma yato yii"sukhrii. s.tena sa evaasmaan svena saarddha. m sa. mhitavaan sandhaanasambandhiiyaa. m paricaryyaam asmaasu samarpitavaa. m"sca|
19 how that God was in Christ—reconciling the world to Himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses; and having put in us the word of the reconciliation,
yata. h ii"svara. h khrii. s.tam adhi. s.thaaya jagato janaanaam aagaa. msi te. saam. r.namiva na ga. nayan svena saarddha. m taan sa. mhitavaan sandhivaarttaam asmaasu samarpitavaa. m"sca|
20 in behalf of Christ, then, we are ambassadors, as if God were calling through us, we implore, in behalf of Christ, “Be reconciled to God”;
ato vaya. m khrii. s.tasya vinimayena dautya. m karmma sampaadayaamahe, ii"svara"scaasmaabhi ryu. smaan yaayaacyate tata. h khrii. s.tasya vinimayena vaya. m yu. smaan praarthayaamahe yuuyamii"svare. na sandhatta|
21 He made Him having not known sin [to be] sin in our behalf, that we may become the righteousness of God in Him.
yato vaya. m tena yad ii"svariiyapu. nya. m bhavaamastadartha. m paapena saha yasya j naateya. m naasiit sa eva tenaasmaaka. m vinimayena paapa. h k. rta. h|
