2 Corinthians 5
1 For we have known that if the tent of our earthly house may be thrown down, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands—perpetual—in the heavens, (aiōnios g166)
Long hoi sak ih hae kahni im hae anghmaa cadoeh, van ah ban hoi sak ai ih dungzan ah kacak, Sithaw ih im a tawnh o, tiah a panoek o. (aiōnios g166)
2 for also in this we groan, earnestly desiring to clothe ourselves with our dwelling that is from Heaven,
Hae long nuiah a oh o naah, van ih im ah oh han a koeh o parai pongah, pacip paaahaih hoiah kho a sak o:
3 if so be that, having clothed ourselves, we will not be found naked,
van ah oh hanah laihaw to angkhuk o boeh nahaeloe, bangkrai ah a om o mak ai.
4 for we also who are in the tent groan, being burdened, seeing we do not wish to unclothe ourselves, but to clothe ourselves, that the mortal may be swallowed up of life.
Hae kahni im thungah kaom aicae loe hmuen kazit a phawh o pongah, pacip paaahaih hoiah kho a sak o: hae im hae caehtaak han a koeh o pongah na ai, kadueh thaih hmuen to hinghaih hoiah pazawk han a koeh o pongah ni hae tiah kho a sak o.
5 And He who worked us to this very thing [is] God, who also gave to us the deposit of the Spirit;
To tiah oh thai hanah aicae khaeah toksahkung loe Sithaw ni, Anih mah ni kacak Muithla doeh aicae hanah paek.
6 having courage, then, at all times, and knowing that being at home in the body, we are away from home from the LORD—
To pongah hae im takpum ah a oh o nathung, aicae loe Angraeng hoiah angthla o, tiah a panoek o pongah oephaih hoiah kho a sak o poe:
7 for we walk through faith, not through sight—
(aicae loe hnukhaih hoiah a caeh o ai, tanghaih hoiah ni a caeh o: )
8 we have courage, and are well pleased, rather, to be away from the home of the body, and to be at home with the LORD.
hae takpum hae a caeh o taak moe, Angraeng hoi nawnto oh han a koeh o pongah poekhaih tha a cak o.
9 We are also ambitious for this reason, whether at home or away from home, to be well pleasing to Him,
Aicae loe hae im ah a oh o maw, om ai maw, tok a sak o naah, Anih mah talawk koi kami ah a oh o thai hanah ni tok a sak o.
10 for it is necessary for all of us to have appeared before the judgment seat of the Christ, that each one may receive the things [done] through the body, in reference to the things that he did, whether good or evil;
Kami boih a takpum hoiah sak ih baktih toengah, kasae kahoih hnuk hanah, aicae loe Kri lokcaekhaih angraeng tangkhang hmaa ah angdoe o boih tih.
11 having known, therefore, the fear of the LORD, we persuade men, and we are revealed to God, and I also hope to have been revealed in your consciences;
Zit kathok Angraeng kawng to ka panoek o pongah, kami boih Angraeng khaeah amlaem o hanah ka pacae o, tiah Sithaw mah kahoihah ang panoek; nangcae mah doeh nang panoek o tih, tiah oephaih ka tawnh.
12 for we do not again recommend ourselves to you, but we are giving occasion to you of glorifying in our behalf, that you may have [something] in reference to those glorifying in face and not in heart;
Nangcae khaeah kaimacae hoi kaimacae amkoeh let hanah ka poek o ai. Toe palungthin khen ai ah, tasa ah amoek kaminawk to, kaicae zuengah nam oek o thuih han ih ni atue kahoih kang paek o.
13 for whether we were beside ourselves, [it was] to God; whether we be of sound mind, [it is] to you,
Kaicae kam thu o nahaeloe, Sithaw han ni kam thu o: palung ka ha o nahaeloe, nangcae han ni palung ka ha o.
14 for the love of the Christ constrains us, having judged thus: that if one died for all, then the whole died,
Kami boih hanah kami maeto dueh nahaeloe, kaminawk loe duek o boih, tiah a panoek o pongah, Kri amlunghaih mah kaicae ang pacae khruek:
15 and He died for all, that those living may no longer live to themselves, but to Him who died for them, and was raised again.
kahing kaminawk loe angmacae han hing ai ah, nihcae han kadueh moe, angthawk let kami han a hing o thai hanah, Anih loe kami boih hanah duek.
16 So that we, from now on, have known no one according to the flesh, and even if we have known Christ according to the flesh, yet now we know Him [thus] no longer;
To pongah vaihi hoi kamtong mi kawbaktih doeh taksa khet hoi lokcaek han ih ka panoek o ai, canghniah loe Kri to taksa ah ka panoek o, toe vaihi loe to tiah panoekhaih ka tawn o ai boeh.
17 so that if anyone [is] in Christ—[he is] a new creature; the old things passed away, behold, all things have become new.
To pongah mi kawbaktih doeh Kri ah kaom kami loe kangtha ah sak ih kami ah oh: kangquem hmuennawk loe laemh boih boeh; khenah, hmuennawk loe angtha o boih boeh.
18 And all things [are] of God, who reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of the reconciliation,
Hmuennawk boih loe Sithaw ih ni, Anih loe Jesu Kri rang hoiah aicae hoi angmah salakah angdaeh lethaih to sak moe, angdaeh let toksakhaih to aicae khaeah ang paek;
19 how that God was in Christ—reconciling the world to Himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses; and having put in us the word of the reconciliation,
Sithaw loe Kri ah oh moe, long hoi angdaehhaih to sak, nihcae mah sak o ih zaehaih baktih toengah nihcae han zaehaih net ai; angdaehhaih tamthanglok to aicae hanah paek boeh.
20 in behalf of Christ, then, we are ambassadors, as if God were calling through us, we implore, in behalf of Christ, “Be reconciled to God”;
To tiah oh pongah aicae loe Kri han laicaeh ah a oh o: kaicae rang hoiah Sithaw mah pacae baktih toengah, Sithaw hoi angdaehhaih na sak o hanah Kri zuengah kang pacae o.
21 He made Him having not known sin [to be] sin in our behalf, that we may become the righteousness of God in Him.
Anih rang hoiah Sithaw toenghaih a hnuk o thai hanah, Sithaw mah zaehaih panoek ai Anih to aicae hanah kami zae ah sak.
