2 Corinthians 3
1 Do we begin again to recommend ourselves, except we need, as some, letters of recommendation to you, or from you?
আমরা কি আবার নিজেদের প্রশংসা করা শুরু করেছি? কিংবা, কিছু মানুষের মতো, তোমাদের কাছে আমাদেরও সুপারিশ-পত্রের প্রয়োজন বা তোমাদের কাছ থেকে তা নিতে হবে?
2 You are our letter, having been written in our hearts, known and read by all men,
তোমরাই তো আমাদের পত্র, আমাদের হৃদয়ে লিখিত পত্র, যা প্রত্যেকেই জানে ও পড়ে।
3 revealed that you are a letter of Christ ministered by us, not written with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God, not in the tablets of stone, but in fleshy tablets of the heart,
তোমরা দেখাও যে, আমাদের পরিচর্যার ফলস্বরূপ তোমরা খ্রীষ্টের কাছ থেকে লিখিত পত্র, যা কালি দিয়ে নয়, কিন্তু জীবন্ত ঈশ্বরের আত্মা দিয়ে, পাথরের ফলকে নয়, কিন্তু মানুষের হৃদয়-ফলকে লেখা হয়েছ।
4 and such trust we have through the Christ toward God,
ঈশ্বরের প্রতি এ ধরনের বিশ্বাসই খ্রীষ্টের মাধ্যমে আমাদের আছে।
5 not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything, as of ourselves, but our sufficiency [is] of God,
এরকম নয় যে, নিজেদের যোগ্যতায় আমরা কিছু করতে পারি বলে দাবি করি। আমাদের যোগ্যতা ঈশ্বর থেকেই আসে।
6 who also made us sufficient [to be] servants of the New Covenant, not of letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, and the Spirit makes alive.
তিনিই আমাদের এক নতুন নিয়মের পরিচারকরূপে যোগ্য করে তুলেছেন—যা অক্ষরে নয়, কিন্তু আত্মায় লিখিত হয়েছে, কারণ অক্ষর মৃত্যুতে শেষ হয়, কিন্তু পবিত্র আত্মা জীবন প্রদান করেন।
7 And if the ministry of death, in letters, engraved in stones, came in glory, so that the sons of Israel were not able to look steadfastly into the face of Moses, because of the glory of his face—which was being made useless,
যে পরিচর্যা মৃত্যু নিয়ে এসেছিল, যা পাথরের উপরে লিপিতে উৎকীর্ণ ছিল, তা যদি এমন মহিমার সঙ্গে উপস্থিত হয়েছিল যে, ইস্রায়েলীরা স্থিরদৃষ্টিতে মোশির মুখমণ্ডলের দিকে তাঁর মহিমার জন্য তাকাতে পারছিল না, যদিও সেই মহিমা ক্রমেই নিষ্প্রভ হচ্ছিল,
8 how will the ministry of the Spirit not be more in glory?
তাহলে আত্মার পরিচর্যা কি আরও বেশি মহিমাদীপ্ত হবে না?
9 For if the ministry of the condemnation [is] glory, much more does the ministry of righteousness abound in glory;
যে পরিচর্যা মানুষকে অভিযুক্ত করে, তা যদি এমন মহিমাদীপ্ত হয়, তাহলে যে পরিচর্যা ধার্মিকতা নিয়ে আসে, তা আরও কত না বেশি মহিমাদীপ্ত হবে!
10 for also even that which has been glorious, has not been glorious—in this respect, because of the superior glory;
প্রকৃতপক্ষে, যা ছিল মহিমাময়, তা বর্তমানের বহুগুণে শ্রেষ্ঠতর মহিমার তুলনায় কোনো মহিমাই নয়।
11 for if that which is being made useless [is] through glory, much more that which is remaining [is] in glory.
আবার যা ক্রমশ নিষ্প্রভ হয়ে যাচ্ছিল, তা যদি মহিমার সঙ্গে উপস্থিত হয়েছিল, তাহলে যা স্থায়ী, তার মহিমা আরও কত না মহত্তর হবে!
12 Having, then, such hope, we use much freedom of speech,
সেই কারণে, আমাদের এরকম প্রত্যাশা আছে বলেই আমরা এরকম অতি সাহসী হয়েছি।
13 and [are] not as Moses, who was putting a veil on his own face, for the sons of Israel not to look steadfastly into the end of that which is being made useless,
আমরা মোশির মতো নই; তিনি তাঁর মুখের উপরে আবরণ দিতেন যেন, যে মহিমার কিরণ ম্লান হয়ে আসছিল, ইস্রায়েল-সন্তানদের দৃষ্টি শেষ পর্যন্ত তা থেকে সরিয়ে রাখতে পারেন।
14 but their minds were hardened, for to this day the same veil at the reading of the Old Covenant remains unwithdrawn—which in Christ is being made useless—
কিন্তু তাদের মনকে কঠিন করা হয়েছিল, কারণ পুরোনো নিয়মের পাঠে আজও পর্যন্ত সেই আবরণ থেকেই গেছে। তা অপসারিত করা হয়নি, কারণ কেবলমাত্র খ্রীষ্টেই তা অপসারিত করা যায়।
15 but until today, when Moses is read, a veil lies on their heart,
এমনকি, আজও অবধি যখন মোশির বিধান পাঠ করা হয়, একটি আবরণ তাদের অন্তরকে আবৃত করে রাখে।
16 and whenever they may turn to the LORD, the veil is taken away.
কিন্তু যখনই কেউ প্রভুর প্রতি ফিরে আসে, সেই আবরণ অপসারিত করা হয়।
17 And the LORD is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the LORD [is], there [is] liberty;
এখন প্রভুই সেই আত্মা, আর যেখানে প্রভুর আত্মা থাকেন সেখানেই স্বাধীনতা থাকে।
18 and we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the LORD in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image, from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the LORD.
আর আমরা সকলে, যারা অনাবৃত মুখমণ্ডলে প্রভুর মহিমা দর্পণের মতো প্রতিফলিত করছি, আমরা তাঁরই প্রতিমূর্তিতে ক্রমশ বৃদ্ধি পাওয়া মহিমায় রূপান্তরিত হচ্ছি, যে মহিমা প্রভু, যিনি আত্মা, তাঁর কাছ থেকে আসে।
