< 2 Chronicles 1 >
1 And Solomon son of David strengthens himself over his kingdom, and his God YHWH [is] with him, and makes him exceedingly great.
Solomoni, mũrũ wa Daudi, nĩehaandire akĩrũma wega ũthamaki-inĩ wake, nĩgũkorwo Jehova Ngai wake aarĩ hamwe nake na akĩmũnenehia mũno makĩria.
2 And Solomon says to all Israel, to heads of the thousands, and of the hundreds, and to the ones judging, and to every honorable one of all Israel, heads of the fathers,

3 and they go—Solomon, and all the assembly with him—to the high place that [is] in Gibeon, for God’s Tent of Meeting has been there, that Moses, servant of YHWH, made in the wilderness,
Nake Solomoni na kĩũngano kĩu gĩothe makĩambata kũndũ kũrĩa gũtũũgĩru kũu Gibeoni, nĩgũkorwo Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo ya Ngai nĩkuo yarĩ, ĩrĩa Musa ndungata ya Jehova aathondekeire kũu werũ-inĩ.
4 but David had the Ark of God brought up from Kirjath-Jearim to the [place] David had prepared for it, for he stretched out a tent for it in Jerusalem;
Na rĩrĩ, Daudi nĩambatĩtie ithandũkũ rĩa Ngai kuuma Kiriathu-Jearimu akarĩiga harĩa aarĩthondekeire, tondũ nĩarĩambĩire hema kũu Jerusalemu.
5 and the altar of bronze that Bezaleel son of Uri, son of Hur made, he put before the Dwelling Place of YHWH; and Solomon and the assembly seek Him [there].
No kĩgongona gĩa gĩcango kĩrĩa gĩathondeketwo nĩ Bezaleli mũrũ wa Uri, mũrũ wa Huru, kĩarĩ Gibeoni mbere ya hema ĩrĩa nyamũre ya Jehova; nĩ ũndũ ũcio Solomoni na kĩũngano kĩu magĩthiĩ hau gũtuĩria ũhoro kuuma kũrĩ Jehova.
6 And Solomon goes up there, on the altar of bronze, before YHWH, that [is] at the Tent of Meeting, and causes one thousand burnt-offerings to ascend on it.
Solomoni akĩambata kĩgongona-inĩ kĩu gĩa gĩcango o hau mbere ya Jehova thĩinĩ wa Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo, na akĩrutĩra hau igũrũ wakĩo magongona ngiri ĩmwe ma njino.
7 In that night God has appeared to Solomon and says to him, “Ask—what do I give to you?”
Ũtukũ o ro ũcio-rĩ, Ngai akiumĩrĩra Solomoni, akĩmwĩra atĩrĩ, “Hooya kĩrĩa gĩothe ũkwenda ngũhe.”
8 And Solomon says to God, “You have done great kindness with my father David, and have caused me to reign in his stead.
Solomoni agĩcookeria Ngai atĩrĩ, “Nĩwekĩire baba Daudi maũndũ manene ma ũtugi na nĩũnduĩte mũthamaki ithenya rĩake.
9 Now, O YHWH God, Your word with my father David is steadfast, for You have caused me to reign over a people [as] numerous as the dust of the earth;
Na rĩrĩ, Wee Jehova Ngai, reke ũrĩa werĩire baba Daudi ũhinge, nĩgũkorwo nĩũnduĩte mũthamaki wa andũ aingĩ o ta rũkũngũ rwa thĩ.
10 now, give wisdom and knowledge to me, and I go out before this people, and I come in, for who judges this—Your great people?”
He ũũgĩ na ũmenyo, nĩguo ndongoragie andũ aya, nĩ ũndũ-rĩ, nũũ ũngĩhota gwatha andũ aya aku aingĩ ũũ?”
11 And God says to Solomon, “Because that this has been with your heart, and you have not asked for riches, wealth, and honor, and the life of those hating you, and also have not asked for many days, and ask for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, so that you judge My people over which I have caused you to reign—
Ngai akĩĩra Solomoni atĩrĩ, “Kuona atĩ ũndũ ũyũ nĩguo wendi wa ngoro yaku na ndũnahooya ũtonga, kana kũgĩa indo nyingĩ o na kana gĩtĩĩo, kana gĩkuũ gĩa thũ ciaku, na kuona atĩ ndũnahooya ũtũũre muoyo matukũ maingĩ, no wahooya ũũgĩ na ũmenyo wa gwathaga andũ akwa arĩa ngũtuĩte mũthamaki wao-rĩ,
12 the wisdom and the knowledge is given to you, and riches and wealth and honor I [also] give to you, that there has not been so to the kings who [are] before you, and after you it is not so.”
nĩ ũndũ ũcio nĩũkũheo ũũgĩ na ũmenyo. O na ningĩ nĩngũkũhe ũtonga, na indo nyingĩ o na gĩtĩĩo, iria itarĩ mũthamaki ũrĩ wakorwo nacio mbere ĩyo, na gũtarĩ mũthamaki ũkaagĩa nacio thuutha waku.”
13 And Solomon comes in to Jerusalem [from] the high place that [is] in Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, and reigns over Israel,
Ningĩ Solomoni agĩthiĩ Jerusalemu oimĩte handũ harĩa hatũũgĩru kũu Gibeoni hau mbere ya Hema-ya-Gũtũnganwo. Nake agĩthamakĩra Isiraeli.
14 and Solomon gathers chariots and horsemen, and he has one thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he places them in the cities of the chariots, and with the king in Jerusalem.

15 And the king makes the silver and the gold in Jerusalem as stones, and the cedars he made as sycamores that [are] in the low country, for abundance.
Mũthamaki nĩatũmire betha na thahabu cingĩhe Jerusalemu o ta mahiga, mĩtarakwa nayo yarĩ mĩingĩ o ta mĩkũyũ ĩrĩa ĩrĩ magũrũ-inĩ ma irĩma.
16 And the source of the horses that [are] for Solomon [is] from Egypt and from Keva; merchants of the king take [them] from Keva at a price,

17 and they come up, and bring out a chariot from Egypt for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for one hundred and fifty, and so for all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Aram—they bring [them] out by their hand.
