2 Chronicles 8
1 And it comes to pass at the end of twenty years that Solomon has built the house of YHWH and his own house.
Al cabo de veinte años, en los que Salomón había edificado la casa de Yahvé y su propia casa,
2 As for the cities that Huram has given to Solomon, Solomon has built them, and he causes the sons of Israel to dwell there.
Salomón edificó las ciudades que Huram le había dado a Salomón, e hizo habitar a los hijos de Israel.
3 And Solomon goes to Hamath-Zobah, and lays hold on it;
Salomón se dirigió a Hamat-Zobá y la venció.
4 and he builds Tadmor in the wilderness, and all the cities of store that he has built in Hamath.
Edificó Tadmor en el desierto, y todas las ciudades de almacenamiento que edificó en Hamat.
5 And he builds Beth-Horon the upper, and Beth-Horon the lower—cities of defense, with walls, double gates, and bar—
También edificó Bet Horón, la de arriba, y Bet Horón, la de abajo, ciudades fortificadas con murallas, puertas y rejas;
6 and Ba‘alath, and all the cities of store that Solomon had, and all the cities of the chariot, and the cities of the horsemen, and all the desire of Solomon that he desired to build in Jerusalem, and in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
y Baalat, y todas las ciudades de almacenamiento que tenía Salomón, y todas las ciudades para sus carros, las ciudades para su gente de a caballo, y todo lo que Salomón quiso edificar a su gusto en Jerusalén, en el Líbano y en toda la tierra de su dominio.
7 All the people who are left of the Hittite, and the Amorite, and the Perizzite, and the Hivite, and the Jebusite, who are not of Israel—
En cuanto a todos los pueblos que quedaron de los hititas, los amorreos, los ferezeos, los heveos y los jebuseos, que no eran de Israel —
8 of their sons who have been left after them in the land, whom the sons of Israel did not consume—Solomon lifts up a tribute to this day.

9 And Solomon has made none of the sons of Israel servants for his work, but they [are] men of war, and heads of his captains, and heads of his charioteers, and of his horsemen;
Pero de los hijos de Israel, Salomón no hizo siervos para su trabajo, sino que fueron hombres de guerra, jefes de sus capitanes y gobernantes de sus carros y de su caballería.
10 and these [are] heads of the officers whom King Solomon has, two hundred and fifty who are rulers among the people.
Estos eran los principales oficiales del rey Salomón, doscientos cincuenta, que gobernaban al pueblo.
11 And Solomon has brought up the daughter of Pharaoh from the City of David to the house that he built for her, for he said, “My wife does not dwell in the house of David king of Israel, for they are holy to whom the Ark of YHWH has come.”
Salomón sacó a la hija del faraón de la ciudad de David a la casa que le había construido, porque dijo: “Mi mujer no habitará en la casa de David, rey de Israel, porque los lugares donde ha llegado el arca de Yahvé son sagrados.”
12 Then Solomon has caused burnt-offerings to ascend to YHWH on the altar of YHWH that he built before the porch,
Entonces Salomón ofreció holocaustos a Yahvé en el altar de Yahvé que había construido ante el pórtico,
13 even by the matter of a day in its day, to cause to ascend according to the command of Moses, on Sabbaths, and on new moons, and on appointed times, three times in a year—in the Celebration of Unleavened Things, and in the Celebration of Weeks, and in the Celebration of Shelters.
tal como lo exigía el deber de cada día, ofreciendo según el mandamiento de Moisés en los sábados, en las lunas nuevas y en las fiestas establecidas, tres veces al año, durante la fiesta de los panes sin levadura, durante la fiesta de las semanas y durante la fiesta de las cabañas.
14 And he establishes, according to the ordinance of his father David, the divisions of the priests over their service, and of the Levites over their charges, to praise and to minister before the priests, according to the matter of a day in its day, and the gatekeepers in their divisions at every gate, for so [is] the command of David the man of God.
Designó, según la ordenanza de su padre David, a las divisiones de los sacerdotes para su servicio, y a los levitas para sus oficios, para que alabaran y ministraran delante de los sacerdotes, según el deber de cada día, a los porteros también por sus divisiones en cada puerta, porque así lo había ordenado David, el hombre de Dios.
15 And they have not turned aside [from] the command of the king concerning the priests and the Levites, in reference to any matter, and to the treasures.
No se apartaron del mandato del rey a los sacerdotes y a los levitas en cuanto a cualquier asunto o en cuanto a los tesoros.
16 And all the work of Solomon is prepared until the day of the foundation of the house of YHWH, and until its completion; the house of YHWH is perfect.
Toda la obra de Salomón se llevó a cabo desde el día de la fundación de la casa de Yahvé hasta su finalización. Así que la casa de Yahvé fue completada.
17 Then Solomon has gone to Ezion-Geber, and to Elath, on the border of the sea, in the land of Edom;
Entonces Salomón fue a Ezión Geber y a Elot, a la orilla del mar en la tierra de Edom.
18 and Huram sends to him, by the hand of his servants, ships and servants knowing the sea, and they go with servants of Solomon to Ophir, and take four hundred and fifty talents of gold from there, and bring it to King Solomon.
Huram le envió barcos y siervos que conocían el mar por mano de sus siervos; y vinieron con los siervos de Salomón a Ofir, y trajeron de allí cuatrocientos cincuenta talentos de oro, y los llevaron al rey Salomón.
