2 Chronicles 7

1 And at Solomon’s finishing to pray, then the fire has come down from the heavens and consumes the burnt-offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of YHWH has filled the house,

൧ശലോമോൻ പ്രാർത്ഥിച്ചു കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്ന് തീ ഇറങ്ങി ഹോമയാഗവും ഹനനയാഗവും ദഹിപ്പിച്ചു; യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സ് ആലയത്തിൽ നിറഞ്ഞു.

2 and the priests have not been able to go into the house of YHWH, because the glory of YHWH has filled the house of YHWH.

൨യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സ് ആലയത്തിൽ നിറഞ്ഞിരിക്കകൊണ്ട് പുരോഹിതന്മാർക്ക് ആലയത്തിൽ പ്രവേശിക്കുവാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല.

3 And all the sons of Israel are looking on the descending of the fire, and the glory of YHWH on the house, and they bow—faces to the earth—on the pavement, and pay respect, and give thanks to YHWH, [saying], “For [He is] good, for His kindness [is] for all time!”

൩തീ ഇറങ്ങിയതും ആലയത്തിൽ യഹോവയുടെ തേജസ്സ് നിറയുന്നതും യിസ്രായേൽ മക്കൾ കണ്ടപ്പോൾ അവർ കൽത്തളത്തിൽ സാഷ്ടാംഗം വീണ് യഹോവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ചു: “അവൻ നല്ലവൻ അല്ലോ; അവന്റെ ദയ എന്നേക്കും ഉള്ളത്” എന്നു പറഞ്ഞ് ദൈവത്തെ സ്തുതിച്ചു.

4 And the king and all the people are sacrificing a sacrifice before YHWH,

൪പിന്നെ രാജാവും സർവ്വജനവും യഹോവയുടെ സന്നിധിയിൽ യാഗം കഴിച്ചു.

5 and King Solomon sacrifices the sacrifice: twenty-two thousand of the herd and one hundred and twenty thousand of the flock; and the king and all the people dedicate the house of God.

൫ശലോമോൻ രാജാവ് ഇരുപത്തീരായിരം കാളകളേയും ഒരുലക്ഷത്തി ഇരുപതിനായിരം ആടുകളേയും യാഗം കഴിച്ചു; ഇങ്ങനെ രാജാവും സർവ്വജനവും ചേർന്ന് ദൈവാലയം പ്രതിഷ്ഠിച്ചു.

6 And the priests are standing over their charges, and the Levites with instruments of the song of YHWH that David the king made, to give thanks to YHWH, for His kindness [is] for all time, in David’s praising by their hand—and the priests are blowing trumpets opposite them, and all of Israel is standing.

൬പുരോഹിതന്മാർ തങ്ങളുടെ ശുശ്രൂഷചെയ്തു. ലേവ്യർ, യഹോവയെ സ്തുതിപ്പാൻ ദാവീദ്‌ രാജാവ് ഉണ്ടാക്കിയ യഹോവയുടെ വാദ്യങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ നിന്ന് “യഹോവയുടെ ദയ എന്നേക്കുമുള്ളത്” എന്ന് പാടി. യിസ്രായേൽജനം എഴുന്നേറ്റു നില്‍ക്കെ പുരോഹിതന്മാർ അവരുടെ മുമ്പിൽ കാഹളം ഊതി.

7 And Solomon sanctifies the middle of the court that [is] before the house of YHWH, for he has made the burnt-offerings and the fat of the peace-offerings there, for the altar of bronze that Solomon made has not been able to contain the burnt-offering, and the present, and the fat.

൭ശലോമോൻ ഉണ്ടാക്കിയിരുന്ന താമ്രയാഗപീഠം, ഹോമയാഗം, ഭോജനയാഗം, മേദസ്സ് എന്നിവ അർപ്പിക്കാൻ മതിയാകാതെ വന്നപ്പോൾ, അവൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിന് മുമ്പിലുള്ള പ്രാകാരത്തിന്റെ മദ്ധ്യഭാഗം ശുദ്ധീകരിച്ച്, അവിടെ ഹോമയാഗങ്ങളും സമാധാനയാഗങ്ങളുടെ മേദസ്സും അർപ്പിച്ചു.

8 And Solomon makes the celebration at that time [for] seven days, and all Israel with him—a very great assembly—from the entering in of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt.

൮ശലോമോൻ ഏഴു ദിവസം ഉൽസവം ആചരിച്ചു. ഹമാത്തിന്റെ അതിർമുതൽ ഈജിപറ്റ് തോടുവരെയുള്ള വലിയൊരു കൂട്ടം യിസ്രായേൽജനം അവനോടൊപ്പം ഉത്സവം ആചരിച്ചു.

9 And they make a restraint on the eighth day, because they have made the dedication of the altar [for] seven days, and the celebration [for] seven days.

൯എട്ടാം ദിവസം അവർ വിശുദ്ധസഭായോഗംകൂടി; അതിന് മുമ്പ് ഏഴു ദിവസം അവർ യാഗപീഠപ്രതിഷ്ഠ കൊണ്ടാടി, ഏഴു ദിവസം ഉത്സവവും ആചരിച്ചു.

10 And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he has sent the people to their tents, rejoicing, and glad in heart, for the goodness that YHWH has done to David, and to Solomon, and to His people Israel.

൧൦ഏഴാം മാസം ഇരുപത്തിമൂന്നാം തീയതി അവൻ ജനത്തെ യഹോവ ദാവീദിനും ശലോമോനും തന്റെ ജനമായ യിസ്രായേലിനും ചെയ്ത നന്മയെക്കുറിച്ച് സന്തോഷവും ആനന്ദവും ഉള്ളവരായി അവരുടെ കൂടാരങ്ങളിലേക്ക് പറഞ്ഞയച്ചു.

11 And Solomon finishes the house of YHWH, and the house of the king; and all that has come on the heart of Solomon to do in the house of YHWH, and in his own house, he has caused to prosper.

൧൧ഇങ്ങനെ ശലോമോൻ യഹോവയുടെ ആലയവും രാജകൊട്ടാരവും തീർത്തു; യഹോവയുടെ ആലയത്തിലും തന്റെ അരമനയിലും ഉണ്ടായിരിക്കണം എന്ന് ശലോമോനു താല്പര്യം ഉണ്ടായിരുന്നതൊക്കെയും അവൻ ശുഭകരമായി ചെയ്തു തീർത്തു.

12 And YHWH appears to Solomon by night and says to him, “I have heard your prayer, and have fixed on this place for Myself for a house of sacrifice.

൧൨അതിനുശേഷം യഹോവ രാത്രിയിൽ ശലോമോനു പ്രത്യക്ഷനായി അവനോട് അരുളിച്ചെയ്തത് എന്തെന്നാൽ: “ഞാൻ നിന്റെ പ്രാർത്ഥന കേട്ട് ഈ സ്ഥലം എനിക്ക് യാഗത്തിനുള്ള ആലയമായിട്ട് തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്തിരിക്കുന്നു.

13 If I restrain the heavens and there is no rain, and if I lay charge on the locust to consume the land, and if I send pestilence among My people—

൧൩മഴ പെയ്യാതെ ഞാൻ ആകാശം അടക്കുകയോ, ദേശത്തെ കൃഷി തിന്നു നശിപ്പിക്കേണ്ടതിന് വെട്ടുക്കിളിയോടു കല്പിക്കയോ, എന്റെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ പകർച്ചവ്യാധി വരുത്തുകയോ ചെയ്താൽ,

14 and My people on whom My Name is called are humbled, and pray, and seek My face, and turn back from their evil ways, then I hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.

൧൪എന്റെ നാമം വിളിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ജനം തങ്ങളെത്തന്നെ താഴ്ത്തി, പ്രാർത്ഥനയിലൂടെ എന്റെ മുഖം അന്വേഷിച്ച് തങ്ങളുടെ ദുർമ്മാർഗ്ഗങ്ങളെ വിട്ടു തിരിയുമെങ്കിൽ, ഞാൻ സ്വർഗ്ഗത്തിൽനിന്നു കേട്ട് അവരുടെ പാപം ക്ഷമിച്ച് അവരുടെ ദേശത്തിന് സൗഖ്യം കൊടുക്കും.

15 Now My eyes are open and My ears attentive to the prayer of this place;

൧൫ഈ സ്ഥലത്ത് കഴിക്കുന്ന പ്രാർത്ഥനകൾക്ക് എന്റെ കണ്ണ് തുറന്നിരിക്കയും എന്റെ ചെവി ശ്രദ്ധിച്ചിരിക്കയും ചെയ്യും.

16 and now, I have chosen and sanctified this house for My Name being there for all time; indeed, My eyes and My heart have been there [for] all the days.

൧൬എന്റെ നാമം ഈ ആലയത്തിൽ എന്നേക്കും ഇരിക്കേണ്ടതിന് ഞാൻ ഇപ്പോൾ അതിനെ തെരഞ്ഞെടുത്ത് വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു; എന്റെ ദൃഷ്ടിയും എന്റെ ഹൃദയവും എല്ലായ്പോഴും ഇവിടെ ഇരിക്കും.

17 And you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, even to do according to all that I have commanded you, and keep My statutes and My judgments—

൧൭നീ നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനെപ്പോലെ എന്റെ മുമ്പാകെ നടക്കയും, ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് കല്പിച്ചതൊക്കെയും ചെയ്കയും, എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും വിധികളും പ്രമാണിച്ചുനടക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ,

18 then I have established the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with your father David, saying, A man of yours is never cut off [from] ruling in Israel;

൧൮യിസ്രായേലിൽ വാഴുവാൻ നിനക്ക് ഒരു പുരുഷൻ ഇല്ലാതെ വരുകയില്ല എന്നു ഞാൻ നിന്റെ അപ്പനായ ദാവീദിനോട് നിയമം ചെയ്തതുപോലെ ഞാൻ നിന്റെ സിംഹാസനത്തെ സ്ഥിരമാക്കും.

19 and if you turn back—you—and have forsaken My statutes and My commands that I have placed before you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them—then I have plucked them from off My ground that I have given to them,

൧൯എന്നാൽ നിങ്ങൾ പിൻതിരിഞ്ഞ്, ഞാൻ നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പിൽ വെച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന എന്റെ ചട്ടങ്ങളും കല്പനകളും ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും അന്യദൈവങ്ങളെ സേവിച്ച് നമസ്കരിക്കയും ചെയ്താൽ,

20 and this house that I have sanctified for My Name, I cast from before My face, and make it for a proverb and for a byword among all the peoples.

൨൦ഞാൻ അവർക്ക് കൊടുത്ത എന്റെ ദേശത്തുനിന്ന് അവരെ പറിച്ചുകളയും; എന്റെ നാമത്തിനായി ഞാൻ വിശുദ്ധീകരിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ ആലയത്തെ ഞാൻ എന്റെ മുമ്പിൽനിന്നു നീക്കിക്കളഞ്ഞ് സകലജാതികളുടെയും ഇടയിൽ ഒരു പഴഞ്ചൊല്ലും പരിഹാസവും ആക്കിത്തീർക്കും.

21 And this house that has been high is an astonishment to everyone passing by it, and he has said, Why has YHWH done thus to this land and to this house?

൨൧ഈ ആലയം എത്ര മഹത്തരമായാലും കടന്നുപോകുന്ന ഏവനും അതിനെപ്പറ്റി സ്തംഭിച്ച്: “യഹോവ ഈ ദേശത്തിനും ഈ ആലയത്തിനും ഇങ്ങനെ വരുത്തുവാൻ സംഗതി എന്ത്” എന്ന് ചോദിക്കും.

22 And they have said, Because that they have forsaken YHWH, God of their fathers, who brought them out from the land of Egypt, and lay hold on other gods, and bow themselves to them, and serve them, therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.”

൨൨അതിന് അവർ: “തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരെ ഈജിപ്റ്റ് ദേശത്തുനിന്നു കൊണ്ടുവന്ന ദൈവമായ യഹോവയെ അവർ ഉപേക്ഷിക്കയും അന്യദൈവങ്ങളോടു ചേർന്ന് അവയെ നമസ്കരിച്ച് സേവിക്കയും ചെയ്തതുകൊണ്ടാകുന്നു അവൻ ഈ അനർത്ഥമൊക്കെയും അവർക്ക് വരുത്തിയിരിക്കുന്നത്” എന്ന് ഉത്തരം പറയും.
