1 And at Solomon’s finishing to pray, then the fire has come down from the heavens and consumes the burnt-offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of YHWH has filled the house,
Solomon loh a thangthui te a khah vaengah vaan lamkah hmai suntla tih hmueihhlutnah neh hmueih te a hlawp. Te vaengah BOEIPA kah thangpomnah tah im ah bae.
2 and the priests have not been able to go into the house of YHWH, because the glory of YHWH has filled the house of YHWH.
BOEIPA im te BOEIPA kah thangpomnah bae tih BOEIPA im la khosoih rhoek a kun ham coeng uh pawh.
3 And all the sons of Israel are looking on the descending of the fire, and the glory of YHWH on the house, and they bow—faces to the earth—on the pavement, and pay respect, and give thanks to YHWH, [saying], “For [He is] good, for His kindness [is] for all time!”
Im soah BOEIPA kah thangpomnah neh hmai a suntlak te Israel ca boeih loh a hmuh uh vaengah lungphaih soah diklai la a maelhmai neh cungkueng uh tih a bawk uh. A sitlohnah loh kumhal hil ham a then dongah BOEIPA te a uem uh.
4 And the king and all the people are sacrificing a sacrifice before YHWH,
Te vaengah manghai neh pilnam boeih loh BOEIPA mikhmuh ah hmueih a nawn uh.
5 and King Solomon sacrifices the sacrifice: twenty-two thousand of the herd and one hundred and twenty thousand of the flock; and the king and all the people dedicate the house of God.
Solomon manghai loh hmueih la saelhung thawng kul thawng hnih, boiva thawng yakhat neh thawng kul a nawn. Te tlam te manghai neh pilnam boeih loh Pathen im a uum uh.
6 And the priests are standing over their charges, and the Levites with instruments of the song of YHWH that David the king made, to give thanks to YHWH, for His kindness [is] for all time, in David’s praising by their hand—and the priests are blowing trumpets opposite them, and all of Israel is standing.
Khosoih rhoek te amamih kah hutnah dongah pai uh tih Levi rhoek khaw BOEIPA kah lumlaa hnopai neh omuh. A sitlohnah te kumhal hil ham dongah BOEIPA te uem hamla manghai David loh te te a saii. David amih loh kut neh a thangthen. Te dongah khosoih rhoek loh amih hmai ah a ueng la ueng atah Israel pum khaw boeih pai uh.
7 And Solomon sanctifies the middle of the court that [is] before the house of YHWH, for he has made the burnt-offerings and the fat of the peace-offerings there, for the altar of bronze that Solomon made has not been able to contain the burnt-offering, and the present, and the fat.
Solomon loh BOEIPA im hmai kah vongup laklung te a ciim tih hmueihhlutnah neh rhoepnah maehtha te pahoi a saii. Solomon loh a saii rhohum hmueihtuk tah hmueihhlutnah khaw, khocang khaw, maehtha khaw a ael ham a noeng moenih.
8 And Solomon makes the celebration at that time [for] seven days, and all Israel with him—a very great assembly—from the entering in of Hamath to the Brook of Egypt.
Te vaeng tue ah Solomon neh a taengkah Israel pum loh hnin rhih khuiah khotue a saii. Hlangping Lebokhamath lamloh Egypt soklong hil muep khawk.
9 And they make a restraint on the eighth day, because they have made the dedication of the altar [for] seven days, and the celebration [for] seven days.
Tedae hnin rhih te hmueihtuk nawnnah la, hnin rhih te khotue la a saii uh dongah a rhet hnin ah pahong a saii uh.
10 And on the twenty-third day of the seventh month he has sent the people to their tents, rejoicing, and glad in heart, for the goodness that YHWH has done to David, and to Solomon, and to His people Israel.
A hla rhih dongkah hnin kul hnin thum vaengah tah pilnam te amamih kah dap la a tueih. BOEIPA loh David ham neh Solomon ham khaw, a pilnam Israel ham khaw hnothen a saii dongah lungbuei kah hnothen neh a kohoe uh.
11 And Solomon finishes the house of YHWH, and the house of the king; and all that has come on the heart of Solomon to do in the house of YHWH, and in his own house, he has caused to prosper.
Solomon loh BOEIPA im neh manghai im te a khah coeng. A cungkuem te Solomon kah lungbuei ah a cuen pah bangla a saii ham te BOEIPA im nen khaw, amah im nen khaw thaihtak coeng.
12 And YHWH appears to Solomon by night and says to him, “I have heard your prayer, and have fixed on this place for Myself for a house of sacrifice.
Te phoeiah BOEIPA te Solomon taengla khoyin ah a phoe pah tih amah taengah, “Na thangthuinah te ka yaak coeng tih he hmuen he kamah ham hmueih im la ka coelh coeng.
13 If I restrain the heavens and there is no rain, and if I lay charge on the locust to consume the land, and if I send pestilence among My people—
Vaan ka khaih tih khotlan a om pawt mai akhaw, khohmuen caak ham tangku te ka uen mai akhaw, ka pilnam taengah duektahaw ka tueih mai akhaw.
14 and My people on whom My Name is called are humbled, and pray, and seek My face, and turn back from their evil ways, then I hear from the heavens, and forgive their sin, and heal their land.
A soah ka ming a phuk thil ka pilnam he kunyun tih a thangthui atah, ka maelhmai he a tlap uh tih amamih kah boethae longpuei lamloh a mael uh atah, kamah loh vaan lamkah ka hnatun vetih amih kah tholhnah te khodawk ka ngai ni. A khohmuen khaw ka hoeih sak bal ni.
15 Now My eyes are open and My ears attentive to the prayer of this place;
He hmuen kah thangthuinah dongah ka mik dai om pawn vetih ka hna khaw khui ni.
16 and now, I have chosen and sanctified this house for My Name being there for all time; indeed, My eyes and My heart have been there [for] all the days.
Kumhal duela ka ming pahoi om sak ham he im he ka coelh tih ka ciim coeng dongah ka mik neh ka lungbuei loh hnin takuem pahoi om pawn ni.
17 And you, if you walk before Me as your father David walked, even to do according to all that I have commanded you, and keep My statutes and My judgments—
Nang khaw na pa David a pongpa bangla ka mikhmuh ah na pongpa atah nang kang uen boeih te saii hamla ka oltlueh neh ka laitloeknah he ngaithuen.
18 then I have established the throne of your kingdom, as I covenanted with your father David, saying, A man of yours is never cut off [from] ruling in Israel;
Na pa David taengah ka saii tih, “Israel soah aka taemrhai ham hlang nang lamloh pat mahpawh,” ka ti vanbangla na ram kah ngolkhoel te ka thoh ni.
19 and if you turn back—you—and have forsaken My statutes and My commands that I have placed before you, and have gone and served other gods, and bowed yourselves to them—then I have plucked them from off My ground that I have given to them,
Tedae na mael uh tih ka khosing neh ka olpaek, na mikhmuh ah kan tawn te na hnoo, na cet tih pathen tloe te tho na thueng, amih te ba bawk atah.
20 and this house that I have sanctified for My Name, I cast from before My face, and make it for a proverb and for a byword among all the peoples.
Te vaengah amih taengah ka paek ka khohmuen dong lamloh amih te ka poelh ni. Ka ming hamla ka ciim im he khaw ka mikhmuh dong lamloh ka voeih vetih pilnam cungkuem taengah thuidoeknah neh thuinuetnah la ka khueh ni.
21 And this house that has been high is an astonishment to everyone passing by it, and he has said, Why has YHWH done thus to this land and to this house?
Im he a sangkoek la om cakhaw aka pah boeih te a taengah hal vetih, “Balae tih BOEIPA loh he khohmuen taeng neh he im ham he, he bang a saii,” a ti ni.
22 And they have said, Because that they have forsaken YHWH, God of their fathers, who brought them out from the land of Egypt, and lay hold on other gods, and bow themselves to them, and serve them, therefore He has brought all this calamity on them.”
Te vaengah, “A napa rhoek kah Pathen BOEIPA te a hnawt uh. Amah loh amih te Egypt kho lamkah a khuen dae pathen tloe taengah kap uh. Te rhoek taengah bakop uh tih tho a thueng uh. Te dongah ni yoethae cungkuem he amih soah a khuen pah,” a ti uh ni,” a ti nah.
