2 Chronicles 4
1 And he makes an altar of bronze: twenty cubits its length, and twenty cubits its breadth, and ten cubits its height.
Et il fit un autel d'airain, long de vingt coudées, large de vingt, haut de dix.
2 And he makes the molten sea; ten by the cubit, from its edge to its edge, round in encompassment, and its height [is] five by the cubit, and a line of thirty by the cubit surrounds it around.
Et il fit une mer, jetée en fonte, ronde, haute de cinq coudées, ayant dix coudées de diamètre, et trente coudées de circonférence.
3 And the likeness of oxen [is] under it, encompassing it all around, ten to the cubit, surrounding the sea around; two rows of oxen are cast in its being cast.
Il y avait, au-dessous de ses bords tout alentour, des figures de bœufs, et la piscine avait dix coudées de tour; on avait jeté en fonte deux espèces de bœufs, en deux sortes de moules,
4 It is standing on twelve oxen, three facing the north, and three facing the west, and three facing the south, and three facing the east, and the sea [is] on them above, and all their back parts [are] within.
Où on avait fait douze bœufs: trois regardant le nord, trois l'occident, trois le midi, trois l'orient; la mer était posée sur eux, et le derrière de leur corps était caché par elle.
5 And its thickness [is] a handbreadth, and its lip as the work of the lip of a cup flowered with lilies; holding [within]—it contains three thousand baths.
Elle avait un palme d'épaisseur, et ses bords étaient comme ceux d'une coupe, et ciselés de fleurs de lis; elle contenait trois mille mesures; il l'acheva,
6 And he makes ten lavers, and puts five on the right, and five on the left, to wash with them; they purge the work of the burnt-offering with them; and the sea [is] for priests to wash with.
Et il fit dix bassins: il en plaça cinq à droite et cinq à gauche, pour qu'on y lavât la matière des holocaustes; quant aux prêtres, ils se lavaient dans la mer.
7 And he makes the ten lampstands of gold, according to their ordinance, and places [them] in the temple, five on the right, and five on the left.
Et il fit dix chandeliers d'or, selon le modèle, et il les plaça dans la nef: cinq à droite, cinq à gauche.
8 And he makes ten tables, and places [them] in the temple, five on the right, and five on the left; and he makes one hundred bowls of gold.
Et il fit dix tables, et il les plaça dans la nef: cinq à droite, cinq à gauche; et il fit cent fioles d'or.
9 And he makes the court of the priests, and the great court, and doors for the court, and he has overlaid their doors with bronze.
Il fil aussi le parvis des prêtres, le grand parvis, les portes du parvis, et il revêtit d'airain leurs panneaux.
10 And he has placed the sea on the right shoulder eastward, from toward the south.
Il plaça la mer du côté droit du temple, vers l'angle regardant l'orient.
11 And Huram makes the pots, and the shovels, and the bowls, and Huram finishes to make the work that he made for King Solomon in the house of God;
Et Hiram fit les fourchettes, les poêles, la grille de l'autel et tous ses vases; et il acheva tous les travaux que lui avait commandés le roi Salomon pour le temple du Seigneur.
12 two pillars, and the bowls, and the crowns on the heads of the two pillars, and the two networks to cover the two bowls of the crowns that [are] on the heads of the pillars;
Il fit deux colonnes, et, sur leurs têtes, des cordons aux chapiteaux, et deux filets pour couvrir les deux chapiteaux des têtes de ces colonnes,
13 and the four hundred pomegranates for the two networks, two rows of pomegranates for the one network, to cover the two bowls of the crowns that [are] on the front of the pillars.
Et quatre cents clochettes d'or dans les deux filets, et deux sortes de grenades dans chaque filet, pour couvrir les deux chapiteaux des têtes de colonnes.
14 And he has made the bases; and he has made the lavers on the bases;
Et il fit dix bassins, et il fit les cuvettes pour les bassins,
15 the one sea, and the twelve oxen under it,
Et la mer, et les douze bœufs qui la supportent.
16 and the pots, and the shovels, and the forks, and all their vessels, his father Huram has made for King Solomon, for the house of YHWH, of bronze purified.
Et les vases pour les pieds, les seaux, les marmites, les crochets, et les autres vases qui lui étaient commandés; il les fit en airain pur, et il les apporta au roi dans le temple du Seigneur.
17 The king has cast them in the circuit of the Jordan, in the thick soil of the ground, between Succoth and Zeredathah.
Le roi les avait jetés en fonte, dans la vallée du Jourdain, en une terre argileuse de la maison de Soccoth, entre cette ville et Saredatha.
18 And Solomon makes all these vessels in great abundance, that the weight of the bronze has not been searched out.
Et Salomon fit tous ces ustensiles à profusion, car l'airain ne put être épuisé.
19 And Solomon makes all the vessels that [are for] the house of God, and the altar of gold, and the tables, and on them [is] Bread of the Presentation;
Et il fit tous les vaisseaux du temple du Seigneur, l'autel d'or, les tables de proposition,
20 and the lampstands, and their lamps, for their burning according to the ordinance, before the oracle, of gold refined;
Les chandeliers et les lampes en or pur, qui devaient éclairer la façade de l'oracle, selon son plan.
21 and the flowers, and the lamps, and the tongs of gold—it [is] the perfection of gold;
Il fit leurs mouchettes, leurs récipients, les coupes, les réchauds et les encensoirs, d'or pur,
22 and the snuffers, and the bowls, and the spoons, and the censers, of gold refined, and the opening of the house, its innermost doors to the Holy of Holies, and the doors of the house to the temple, of gold.
Et la porte intérieure du temple qui mène au Saint des saints, et les portes d'or du temple.
