2 Chronicles 36
1 And the people of the land take Jehoahaz son of Josiah and cause him to reign instead of his father in Jerusalem.
Entonces el pueblo de la tierra tomó a Joacaz, hijo de Josías, y lo hizo rey en Jerusalén en lugar de su padre.
2 Jehoahaz [is] a son of twenty-three years in his reigning, and he has reigned three months in Jerusalem,
Joacaz tenía veintitrés años cuando llegó a ser rey; estuvo gobernando en Jerusalén durante tres meses.
3 and the king of Egypt turns him aside in Jerusalem, and fines the land one hundred talents of silver, and a talent of gold;
Entonces el rey de Egipto le arrebató el reino a Jerusalén y puso en la tierra un impuesto de cien talentos de plata y un talento de oro.
4 and the king of Egypt causes his brother Eliakim to reign over Judah and Jerusalem, and turns his name to Jehoiakim; and Necho has taken his brother Jehoahaz and brings him to Egypt.
Y el rey de Egipto hizo rey a Eliaquim su hermano sobre Judá y Jerusalén, cambiando su nombre por Joacim. Y Necao se llevó a su hermano Joacaz a Egipto.
5 Jehoiakim [is] a son of twenty-five years in his reigning, and he has reigned eleven years in Jerusalem, and he does evil in the eyes of his God YHWH;
Joacim tenía veinticinco años cuando llegó a ser rey; él gobernó en Jerusalén por once años, e hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor su Dios.
6 Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon has come up against him, and binds him in bronze chains to take him away to Babylon.
Nabucodonosor, rey de Babilonia, subió contra él y lo llevó encadenado a Babilonia.
7 And Nebuchadnezzar has brought from the vessels of the house of YHWH to Babylon, and puts them in his temple in Babylon.
Nabucodonosor tomó algunos de los vasos de la casa del Señor y los puso en la casa de su dios en Babilonia.
8 And the rest of the matters of Jehoiakim, and his abominations that he has done, and that which is found against him, behold, they are written on the scroll of the kings of Israel and Judah, and his son Jehoiachin reigns in his stead.
Ahora, el resto de los actos de Joacim y las cosas repugnantes que hizo, y todo lo que se puede decir contra él, están registrados en el libro de los reyes de Israel y Judá; y Joaquín su hijo se convirtió en rey en su lugar.
9 Jehoiachin [is] a son of eight years in his reigning, and he has reigned three months and ten days in Jerusalem, and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH;
Joaquín tenía dieciocho años cuando llegó a ser rey; estuvo gobernando en Jerusalén durante tres meses y diez días, e hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor.
10 and at the turn of the year King Nebuchadnezzar has sent and brings him to Babylon with the desirable vessels of the house of YHWH, and causes his brother Zedekiah to reign over Judah and Jerusalem.
En la primavera del año, el rey Nabucodonosor mandó que lo llevarán a Babilonia, con los utensilios más valiosos del templo del Señor, e hizo a Sedequías, hermano de su padre, rey de Judá y Jerusalén.
11 Zedekiah [is] a son of twenty-one years in his reigning, and he has reigned eleven years in Jerusalem;
Sedequías tenía veintiún años cuando se convirtió en rey; Gobernó en Jerusalén durante once años.
12 and he does evil in the eyes of his God YHWH, he has not been humbled before Jeremiah the prophet [speaking] from the mouth of YHWH;
Él hizo lo malo ante los ojos del Señor, y no se humilló ante el profeta Jeremías que le dio la palabra del Señor.
13 and he has also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar who had caused him to swear by God, and he hardens his neck and strengthens his heart against turning back to YHWH, God of Israel.
Y tomó las armas contra el rey Nabucodonosor, aunque le había hecho jurar por Dios; pero fue terco y endureció su corazón, apartándose del Señor, el Dios de Israel.
14 Also, all the heads of the priests and the people have multiplied to commit a trespass according to all the abominations of the nations, and they defile the house of YHWH that He has sanctified in Jerusalem.
Y más que esto, todos los grandes hombres de Judá y los sacerdotes y el pueblo hicieron grandes sus pecados, volviéndose a todos los caminos repugnantes de las naciones; y dejaron inmunda la casa del Señor que él había santificado como su santuario en Jerusalén.
15 And YHWH, God of their fathers, sends to them by the hand of His messengers—rising early and sending—for He has had pity on His people and on His habitation,
Y el Señor, el Dios de sus antepasados, les envió un mensaje de parte de sus siervos, advirtiendoles con frecuencia, porque tenía compasión de su pueblo y de su lugar de residencia;
16 but they are mocking at the messengers of God, and despising His words, and acting deceitfully with His prophets, until the going up of the fury of YHWH against His people—until there is no healing.
Pero avergonzaron a los siervos de Dios, despreciando sus palabras y riéndose de sus profetas, hasta que la ira de Dios se movió contra su pueblo, hasta que no hubo remedio.
17 And He causes the king of the Chaldeans to go up against them, and he slays their chosen ones by the sword in the house of their sanctuary, and has had no pity on young man and virgin, old man and very aged—He has given the whole into his hand.
Entonces envió contra ellos al rey de los caldeos, que mató a espada a sus jóvenes con la espada en el santuario, y no tuvo piedad de ninguno, joven o virgen, anciano, ni inválidos. Dios los dio a todos en sus manos.
18 And all the vessels of the house of God, the great and the small, and the treasures of the house of YHWH, and the treasures of the king and of his princes—he has brought the whole to Babylon.
Y todos los vasos de la casa de Dios, grandes y pequeños, y la riqueza almacenada de la casa del Señor y la riqueza del rey y sus jefes, se la llevaron a Babilonia.
19 And they burn the house of God, and break down the wall of Jerusalem, and they have burned all its palaces with fire, and all its desirable vessels—to destruction.
Y la casa de Dios fue quemada y el muro de Jerusalén derribado; Todas sus grandes casas fueron quemadas con fuego y todas sus hermosas vasijas entregadas a la destrucción.
20 And he removes those left of the sword to Babylon, and they are to him and to his sons for servants, until the reigning of the kingdom of Persia,
Y a todos los que no habían muerto a espada, se los llevaron a Babilonia; y se convirtieron en siervos para él y para sus hijos hasta que el reino de Persia llegó al poder.
21 to fulfill the word of YHWH in the mouth of Jeremiah, until the land has enjoyed its Sabbaths; all the days of the desolation it kept Sabbath—to the fullness of seventy years.
Para que las palabras del Señor, que él dijo por boca de Jeremías, se hagan realidad, hasta que la tierra haya tenido placer en sus sábados; porque mientras se desperdició, la tierra guardó el sábado, hasta que se cumplieron setenta años.
22 And in the first year of Cyrus king of Persia, at the completion of the word of YHWH in the mouth of Jeremiah, YHWH has awoken the spirit of Cyrus king of Persia, and he causes an intimation to pass over into all his kingdom, and also in writing, saying,
En el primer año de Ciro, rey de Persia, para que las palabras que el Señor había dicho por boca de Jeremías se hicieran realidad, el espíritu de Ciro, rey de Persia, fue movido por el Señor, y él hizo una declaración pública y la repartió por todo su reino y la puso por escrito, diciendo:
23 “Thus said Cyrus king of Persia: YHWH, God of the heavens, has given all kingdoms of the earth to me, and He has laid a charge on me to build a house for Him in Jerusalem which [is] in Judah; who is among you of all His people? His God YHWH [is] with him, and he goes up!”
Ciro, rey de Persia, dijo: El Señor, el Dios del cielo, me ha dado todos los reinos de la tierra; y él me ha hecho responsable de construir una casa para él en Jerusalén, que está en Judá. Quienquiera que haya entre ustedes de todo su pueblo, que el Señor, su Dios, esté con él, váyase allá.
