2 Chronicles 35

1 And Josiah makes a Passover to YHWH in Jerusalem, and they slaughter the Passover-offering on the fourteenth of the first month,

யோசியா எருசலேமில் யெகோவாவுக்கென்று பஸ்காவைக் கொண்டாடினான்; முதலாம் மாதம் பதினான்காம் நாளில் பஸ்கா செம்மறியாட்டுக் குட்டி வெட்டப்பட்டது.

2 and he stations the priests over their charges, and strengthens them for the service of the house of YHWH,

அவன் ஆசாரியர்களை அவர்களுடைய கடமைகளுக்கென நியமித்தான். யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தின் பணிகளைச் செய்யவும் அவர்களை ஊக்குவித்தான்.

3 and says to the Levites who are teaching all Israel, who are sanctified to YHWH, “Put the holy Ark in the house that Solomon son of David, king of Israel, built; it is not a burden on the shoulder to you. Now serve your God YHWH and His people Israel,

அவன் இஸ்ரயேலர்களுக்கெல்லாம் அறிவுறுத்தல் கொடுப்பவர்களும், யெகோவாவுக்கென பரிசுத்தமாக்கப்பட்டவர்களுமான லேவியர்களிடம் சொன்னதாவது: “இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசன் தாவீதின் மகன் சாலொமோன் கட்டிய ஆலயத்தில் பரிசுத்த பெட்டியை வையுங்கள். அது இனி உங்கள் தோள்களில் சுமக்கப்படக்கூடாது. இப்பொழுது உங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கும், இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுக்கும் பணிசெய்யுங்கள்.

4 and prepare, by the house of your fathers, according to your divisions, by the writing of David king of Israel, and by the writing of his son Solomon,

இஸ்ரயேலின் அரசன் தாவீதும், அவன் மகன் சாலொமோனும் எழுதி வைத்துள்ள பணிகளுக்கேற்ப உங்கள் கோத்திரங்களிலுள்ள குடும்பங்களின்படியே உங்களை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள்.

5 and stand in the holy place, by the divisions of the house of the fathers of your brothers, sons of the people, and the portion of the house of a father of the Levites,

“மற்ற மக்களான உங்கள் உடன் நாட்டவர்களின் குடும்பங்களைச் சேர்ந்த ஒவ்வொரு பிரிவுக்குமென ஒவ்வொரு கூட்டமாக லேவியர்களுடன் பரிசுத்த இடத்தில் நில்லுங்கள்.

6 and slaughter the Passover-offering and sanctify yourselves, and prepare for your brothers, to do according to the word of YHWH by the hand of Moses.”

பஸ்காவின் செம்மறியாட்டுக் குட்டிகளை வெட்டி, உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தி, உங்கள் சக இஸ்ரயேலருக்காகப் பஸ்கா செம்மறியாட்டுக் குட்டியை ஆயத்தப்படுத்துங்கள். இவ்விதமாக மோசே மூலம் யெகோவா கட்டளையிட்டதைச் செய்யுங்கள்” என்றான்.

7 And Josiah lifts up to the sons of the people a flock of lambs and young goats, the whole for Passover-offerings, for everyone who is found, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand oxen: these [are] from the substance of the king.

யோசியா அங்கிருந்த எல்லா மற்ற மக்களுக்காகவும் பஸ்காவைப் பலியிடுவதற்காக முப்பதாயிரம் செம்மறியாடுகளையும், வெள்ளாடுகளையும் அவர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தான். அதோடுகூட மூவாயிரம் மாடுகளையும் கொடுத்தான். இவையெல்லாவற்றையும் அரசன் தனக்குரியவற்றிலிருந்தே கொடுத்தான்.

8 And his heads, for a willing-offering to the people, to the priests and to the Levites, have lifted up; Hilkiah, and Zechariah, and Jehiel, leaders in the house of God, have given two thousand and six hundred to the priests for Passover-offerings, and three hundred oxen;

அவனுடைய அதிகாரிகளும்கூட மக்களுக்கும், ஆசாரியருக்கும், லேவியர்களுக்கும் மனமுவந்து காணிக்கைகளைக் கொடுத்தார்கள். இறைவனின் ஆலய நிர்வாகிகளான இல்க்கியா, சகரியா, யெகியேல் ஆகியோரும் ஆசாரியருக்கு இரண்டாயிரத்து அறுநூறு பஸ்கா செம்மறியாட்டுக் குட்டிகளையும், முந்நூறு மாடுகளையும் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

9 and Conaniah, and Shemaiah, and Nethaneel, his brothers, and Hashabiah, and Jeiel, and Jozabad, heads of the Levites, have lifted up five thousand to the Levites for Passover-offerings, and five hundred oxen.

அத்துடன் லேவியர்களின் தலைவர்களான கொனானியாவும், செமாயாவும், நெதனெயேலும் அவனுடைய சகோதரர்களும், அஷபியாவும், எயேலும், யோசபாத்தும் ஐயாயிரம் பஸ்கா காணிக்கைகளையும், ஐந்நூறு மாடுகளையும் லேவியர்களுக்குக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.

10 And the service is prepared, and the priests stand on their station, and the Levites on their divisions, according to the command of the king,

வழிபாடு ஒழுங்குசெய்யப்பட்டது. அரசன் கட்டளையிட்டபடி ஆசாரியர்கள் லேவியர்களுடன் தங்கள் பிரிவுகளின்படி தங்களுக்குரிய இடத்தில் நின்றார்கள்.

11 and they slaughter the Passover-offering, and the priests sprinkle out of their hand, and the Levites are stripping [them];

பஸ்கா செம்மறியாட்டுக் குட்டிகள் வெட்டப்பட்டன. ஆசாரியர்கள் அவர்களிடம் கொடுக்கப்பட்ட இரத்தத்தைத் தெளித்தார்கள். அந்த நேரம் லேவியர்கள் மிருகங்களின் தோலை உரித்தார்கள்.

12 and they turn aside the burnt-offering to put them by the divisions of the house of the fathers of the sons of the people, to bring near to YHWH, as it is written in the scroll of Moses—and so for the oxen.

13 And they cook the Passover with fire according to the ordinance, and they have cooked the sanctified things in pots, and in kettles, and in pans—for all the sons of the people.

அவர்கள் விவரித்துள்ளபடியே பஸ்கா மிருகங்களை நெருப்பின்மேல் வாட்டி, பரிசுத்த காணிக்கைகளை பானைகளிலும், கிடாரங்களிலும், சட்டிகளிலும் அவித்தார்கள். அவற்றை மிக விரைவாக எல்லா மக்களுக்கும் பரிமாறினார்கள்.

14 And afterward they have prepared for themselves and for the priests; for the priests, sons of Aaron, [are occupied] in the offering up of the burnt-offering and of the fat until night; and the Levites have prepared for themselves and for the priests, sons of Aaron.

இதன்பின் தங்களுக்கெனவும், ஆசாரியருக்கெனவும் பங்குகளை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள். ஏனெனில் ஆரோனின் வழித்தோன்றல்களான ஆசாரியர்கள், தகன காணிக்கைகளையும், கொழுப்புப் பகுதிகளையும் மாலையாகும்வரை பலியிட்டுக் கொண்டேயிருந்தார்கள். எனவே லேவியர்கள் தங்களுக்கும், ஆரோனிய ஆசாரியருக்குமென பங்குகளை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

15 And the singers, sons of Asaph, [are] on their station according to the command of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun seer of the king, and the gatekeepers [are] at every gate; it is not for them to turn aside from off their service, for their brothers the Levites have prepared for them.

தாவீது விவரித்துள்ளபடியே, ஆசாப்பின் வழித்தோன்றல்களான இசைக் கலைஞர்கள் ஆசாப், ஏமான் அரசர்களின் தரிசனக்காரனான எதுத்தூன் ஆகியோர் அவர்களுக்குரிய இடத்தில் நின்றார்கள். ஒவ்வொரு வாசலிலும் நிற்கும் வாசல் காவலர்கள் அவர்களுடைய இடத்தைவிட்டுப் போக வேண்டியிருக்கவில்லை. ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் உடனிருந்த லேவியர்கள் அவர்களுக்குமாக பங்குகளை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தினார்கள்.

16 And all the service of YHWH is prepared on that day to keep the Passover and to cause burnt-offering to ascend on the altar of YHWH, according to the command of King Josiah.

அவ்வேளையில் அரசன் யோசியா கட்டளையிட்டிருந்தபடியே, பஸ்கா கொண்டாட்டத்திற்காக யெகோவாவுக்கான முழு வழிபாடும், யெகோவாவின் பலிபீடத்தில் தகன காணிக்கைகள் செலுத்துவதும் ஒழுங்காக செய்துமுடிக்கப்பட்டன.

17 And the sons of Israel who are found make the Passover at that time, and the Celebration of Unleavened Things, [for] seven days.

அங்கு வந்திருந்த இஸ்ரயேலர் பஸ்காவைக் கொண்டாடி, அப்பொழுது புளிப்பில்லாத அப்பப் பண்டிகையையும் ஏழுநாட்களுக்குக் கொண்டாடினார்கள்.

18 And there has not been made a Passover like it in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet, and none of the kings of Israel made such a Passover as Josiah has made, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel who are found, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.

இறைவாக்கினன் சாமுயேலின் நாட்களுக்குபின் இஸ்ரயேலில் இதுபோன்று பஸ்கா கொண்டாடப்படவில்லை. யோசியா செய்ததுபோல இஸ்ரயேல் அரசர்களில் ஒருவனும் பஸ்காவை இவ்வாறு கொண்டாடவில்லை. ஏனெனில் யோசியா எருசலேம் மக்களுடன் இருந்த ஆசாரியருடனும், லேவியர்களுடனும், யூதா மக்கள் எல்லோருடனும், இஸ்ரயேல் மக்களுடனும் சேர்ந்து கொண்டாடினான்.

19 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah this Passover has been made.

இந்த பஸ்கா யோசியாவின் ஆட்சியின் பதினெட்டாம் வருடத்தில் கொண்டாடப்பட்டது.

20 After all this, when Josiah has prepared the house, Necho king of Egypt has come up to fight against Carchemish by the Euphrates, and Josiah goes forth to meet him;

இவை எல்லாவற்றிற்கும்பின் யோசியா ஆலயத்தை ஒழுங்குபடுத்தினான். அப்பொழுது எகிப்தின் அரசனான நேகோ யூப்ரட்டீஸ் நதியோரம் இருந்த கர்கேமிஸ் பட்டணத்திற்கு சண்டையிடப் போனான். யோசியா யுத்தத்தில் அவனை எதிர்கொள்ள அணிவகுத்துப் போனான்.

21 and he sends messengers to him, saying, “And what do I [have to do] with you, O king of Judah? I do not come against you today, but to the house with which I have war, and God commanded to hurry me; cease for yourself from God who [is] with me, and He does not destroy you.”

ஆனால் நேகோ அவனிடம் தூதுவர்களை அனுப்பி, “யூதாவின் அரசனே! எனக்கும் உமக்கும் இடையில் என்ன சச்சரவு உண்டு? இம்முறை நான் தாக்குவது உம்மையல்ல; என்னுடன் யுத்தத்தில் ஈடுபட்டிருக்கும் குடும்பத்தையே தாக்குகிறேன். இறைவன் அதை விரைவாகச் செய்ய என்னிடம் கூறியிருக்கிறார். எனவே என்னோடு இருக்கிற இறைவனை எதிர்ப்பதை நிறுத்தும்; இல்லையெனில் அவர் உம்மை அழித்துப்போடுவார்” என்று சொல்லி அனுப்பினான்.

22 And Josiah has not turned around his face from him, but has disguised himself to fight against him, and has not listened to the words of Necho, from the mouth of God, and comes to fight in the Valley of Megiddo;

ஆயினும் யோசியா அவனைவிட்டுத் திரும்பிப் போகவில்லை. யுத்தத்தில் ஈடுபடுவதற்கு அவன் மாறுவேடம் அணிந்தான். அவன் இறைவனின் கட்டளைப்படி நேகோ கூறியவற்றுக்கு செவிகொடுக்காமல் மெகிதோ சமவெளியில் சண்டையிடப் போனான்.

23 and the archers shoot at King Josiah, and the king says to his servants, “Remove me, for I have become very sick.”

வில்வீரர் யோசியா அரசனின்மேல் அம்பெய்தார்கள். அப்பொழுது அவன் தன் அதிகாரிகளிடம், “என்னைக் கொண்டுபோங்கள்; நான் மிக மோசமாகக் காயப்பட்டுள்ளேன்” என்று சொன்னான்.

24 And his servants remove him from the chariot, and cause him to ride on the second chariot that he has, and cause him to go to Jerusalem, and he dies, and is buried in the graves of his fathers, and all Judah and Jerusalem are mourning for Josiah,

எனவே அவர்கள் அவனை அவனுடைய தேரிலிருந்து எடுத்து அவனிடமிருந்த மற்ற தேரில் வைத்து, எருசலேமுக்குக் கொண்டுபோக அவன் அங்கே இறந்தான். அவன் அவனுடைய முற்பிதாக்களின் கல்லறைகளில் அடக்கம் செய்யப்பட்டான். யூதா, எருசலேமில் உள்ள அனைவரும் யோசியாவுக்காகத் துக்கங்கொண்டாடினார்கள்.

25 and Jeremiah laments for Josiah, and all the male and female singers speak in their lamentations of Josiah to this day, and set them for a statute on Israel, and behold, they are written beside the Lamentations.

எரேமியா யோசியாவுக்குப் புலம்பல்களை இயற்றினான். எல்லா பாடகர்களும், பாடகிகளும் இப்புலம்பலைப் பாடி யோசியாவை நினைவுகூருகிறார்கள். இவை இஸ்ரயேலில் வழக்கமான நியமமாய் இருந்து, புலம்பல்களின் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.

26 And the rest of the matters of Josiah and his kind acts, according as it is written in the Law of YHWH,

யோசியாவின் ஆட்சியின் மற்ற நிகழ்வுகளும், யெகோவாவின் சட்டத்தில் எழுதியுள்ளபடி அவனுடைய பக்தி செயல்களும்,

27 even his matters, the first and the last, behold, they are written on the scroll of the kings of Israel and Judah.

தொடக்கமுதல் முடிவு வரையுள்ள எல்லா நிகழ்வுகளும் இஸ்ரயேல், யூதா அரசர்களின் புத்தகத்தில் எழுதப்பட்டுள்ளன.
