2 Chronicles 35
1 And Josiah makes a Passover to YHWH in Jerusalem, and they slaughter the Passover-offering on the fourteenth of the first month,
Sodann hielt Josia Jahwe ein Passah zu Jerusalem, und man schlachtete das Passah am vierzehnten des ersten Monats.
2 and he stations the priests over their charges, and strengthens them for the service of the house of YHWH,
Da bestellte er die Priester zu ihren Obliegenheiten und machte ihnen Mut zum Dienst am Tempel Jahwes.
3 and says to the Levites who are teaching all Israel, who are sanctified to YHWH, “Put the holy Ark in the house that Solomon son of David, king of Israel, built; it is not a burden on the shoulder to you. Now serve your God YHWH and His people Israel,
Zu den Leviten aber, die ganz Israel unterwiesen und die Jahwe geweiht waren, sprach er: Setzt die heilige Lade in den Tempel, den Salomo, der Sohn Davids, der König von Israel, erbaut hat. Ihr braucht sie nicht mehr auf der Schulter zu tragen. Dient nunmehr Jahwe, eurem Gott, und seinem Volk Israel.
4 and prepare, by the house of your fathers, according to your divisions, by the writing of David king of Israel, and by the writing of his son Solomon,
So haltet euch denn bereit nach euren Familien in euren Abteilungen gemäß der Vorschrift Davids, des Königs von Israel, und dem Erlasse seines Sohnes Salomo.
5 and stand in the holy place, by the divisions of the house of the fathers of your brothers, sons of the people, and the portion of the house of a father of the Levites,
Stellt euch im Heiligtum auf je nach den Gruppen der Familien eurer Brüder, der Leute aus dem Volk, und zwar für jede derselben eine Abteilung von einer levitischen Familie.
6 and slaughter the Passover-offering and sanctify yourselves, and prepare for your brothers, to do according to the word of YHWH by the hand of Moses.”
Schlachtet sodann das Passah und heiligt euch und richtet für eure Brüder zu, indem ihr gemäß dem durch Mose ergangenen Befehle Jahwes verfahrt.
7 And Josiah lifts up to the sons of the people a flock of lambs and young goats, the whole for Passover-offerings, for everyone who is found, to the number of thirty thousand, and three thousand oxen: these [are] from the substance of the king.
Und Josia lieferte den Leuten aus dem Volke Kleinvieh als Hebe, Schaflämmer und junge Ziegen - alles zu Passahopfern für alle, die anwesend waren, 30000 an der Zahl, - und 3000 Rinder; diese alle vom Eigentume des Königs.
8 And his heads, for a willing-offering to the people, to the priests and to the Levites, have lifted up; Hilkiah, and Zechariah, and Jehiel, leaders in the house of God, have given two thousand and six hundred to the priests for Passover-offerings, and three hundred oxen;
Seine obersten Beamten aber lieferten freiwillig für das Volk, die Priester und die Leviten eine Hebe. Hilkia, Sacharja und Jehiel, die Fürsten im Tempel Gottes, gaben für die Priester zu Passahopfern 2600 Lämmer und 300 Rinder.
9 and Conaniah, and Shemaiah, and Nethaneel, his brothers, and Hashabiah, and Jeiel, and Jozabad, heads of the Levites, have lifted up five thousand to the Levites for Passover-offerings, and five hundred oxen.
Chananja aber und Semaja und Nethaneel, seine Brüder, sowie Hasabja, Jeïel und Josabad, die Obersten der Leviten, lieferten als Hebe für die Leviten zu Passahopfern 5000 Lämmer und 500 Rinder.
10 And the service is prepared, and the priests stand on their station, and the Levites on their divisions, according to the command of the king,
So war der Dienst geordnet, und die Priester traten auf ihren Standort, und die Leviten stellten sich nach ihren Abteilungen auf, wie der König befohlen hatte.
11 and they slaughter the Passover-offering, and the priests sprinkle out of their hand, and the Levites are stripping [them];
Sodann schlachteten sie das Passah, und die Priester sprengten das Blut, nachdem sie es aus ihrer Hand genommen hatten, während die Leviten die Haut abzogen.
12 and they turn aside the burnt-offering to put them by the divisions of the house of the fathers of the sons of the people, to bring near to YHWH, as it is written in the scroll of Moses—and so for the oxen.
Und sie schieden das zum Brandopfer Bestimmte aus, um es den einzelnen Familiengruppen der Leute aus dem Volke zu geben, damit sie es Jahwe darbrächten, wie im Buche Moses vorgeschrieben ist, und ebenso verfuhren sie mit den Rindern.
13 And they cook the Passover with fire according to the ordinance, and they have cooked the sanctified things in pots, and in kettles, and in pans—for all the sons of the people.
Sodann brieten sie das Passah der Vorschrift gemäß am Feuer, kochten die Weihegaben in Kesseln, Töpfen und Schüsseln und brachten sie eilig allen Leuten aus dem Volke.
14 And afterward they have prepared for themselves and for the priests; for the priests, sons of Aaron, [are occupied] in the offering up of the burnt-offering and of the fat until night; and the Levites have prepared for themselves and for the priests, sons of Aaron.
Darnach aber richteten sie für sich und die Priester zu. Denn die Priester, die Nachkommen Aarons, hatten mit der Darbringung der Brandopfer und der Fettstücke bis zur Nacht zu thun, und so richteten die Leviten für sich und die Priester, die Nachkommen Aarons, zu.
15 And the singers, sons of Asaph, [are] on their station according to the command of David, and Asaph, and Heman, and Jeduthun seer of the king, and the gatekeepers [are] at every gate; it is not for them to turn aside from off their service, for their brothers the Levites have prepared for them.
Und die Sänger, die Nachkommen Asaphs, waren auf ihrem Posten nach der Anordnung Davids, Asaphs, Hemans und Jeduthuns, des Sehers des Königs, und ebenso die Thorhüter an den einzelnen Thoren. Sie brauchten ihren Dienst nicht im Stiche zu lassen, denn ihre Stammesgenossen, die Leviten richteten für sie zu.
16 And all the service of YHWH is prepared on that day to keep the Passover and to cause burnt-offering to ascend on the altar of YHWH, according to the command of King Josiah.
So war jenes Tags der ganze Dienst Jahwes geordnet, indem man das Passah hielt und auf dem Altar Jahwes Brandopfer darbrachte, nach der Anordnung des Königs Josia.
17 And the sons of Israel who are found make the Passover at that time, and the Celebration of Unleavened Things, [for] seven days.
Und so hielten die Israeliten, die zugegen waren, zu jener Zeit das Passah, dazu das Fest der ungesäuerten Brote sieben Tage lang.
18 And there has not been made a Passover like it in Israel from the days of Samuel the prophet, and none of the kings of Israel made such a Passover as Josiah has made, and the priests, and the Levites, and all Judah and Israel who are found, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
Es war aber kein derartiges Passah gefeiert worden seit der Zeit des Propheten Samuel; keiner der Könige von Israel hatte je ein Passah gefeiert wie das, welches Josia feierte und die Priester und Leviten und alle Judäer und Israeliten, die zugegen waren, und die Bewohner Jerusalems.
19 In the eighteenth year of the reign of Josiah this Passover has been made.
Im achtzehnten Jahre der Regierung Josias wurde dieses Passah gefeiert.
20 After all this, when Josiah has prepared the house, Necho king of Egypt has come up to fight against Carchemish by the Euphrates, and Josiah goes forth to meet him;
Nach alledem - nachdem so Josia den Tempel wieder in Stand gesetzt hatte - rückte Necho, der König von Ägypten, heran, um bei Karkemis am Euphrat eine Schlacht zu liefern. Da zog ihm Josia entgegen.
21 and he sends messengers to him, saying, “And what do I [have to do] with you, O king of Judah? I do not come against you today, but to the house with which I have war, and God commanded to hurry me; cease for yourself from God who [is] with me, and He does not destroy you.”
Er aber sandte Boten an ihn und ließ ihm sagen: Was habe ich mit dir zu schaffen, König von Juda? Nicht gegen dich komme ich jetzt, sondern gegen das Haus, das mit mir im Kampfe ist, und Gott befahl mir zu eilen. Vergreife dich nicht an Gott, der mit mir ist, damit er dich nicht verderbe!
22 And Josiah has not turned around his face from him, but has disguised himself to fight against him, and has not listened to the words of Necho, from the mouth of God, and comes to fight in the Valley of Megiddo;
Aber Josia wandte sich nicht von ihm ab, denn er war fest entschlossen, ihn anzugreifen. Daher hörte er nicht auf die Worte Nechos, obschon sie aus dem Munde Gottes kamen, sondern rückte an, um in der Ebene von Megiddo mit ihm zu kämpfen.
23 and the archers shoot at King Josiah, and the king says to his servants, “Remove me, for I have become very sick.”
Aber die Schützen schossen auf den König Josia. Da sprach der König zu seinen Dienern: Bringt mich weg, denn ich bin schwer verwundet!
24 And his servants remove him from the chariot, and cause him to ride on the second chariot that he has, and cause him to go to Jerusalem, and he dies, and is buried in the graves of his fathers, and all Judah and Jerusalem are mourning for Josiah,
Da brachten ihn seine Diener vom Streitwagen hinweg und fuhren ihn auf seinem zweiten Wagen, und als sie ihn nach Jerusalem gebracht hatten, starb er und wurde in den Gräbern seiner Väter begraben. Und ganz Juda und Jerusalem trauerte um Josia,
25 and Jeremiah laments for Josiah, and all the male and female singers speak in their lamentations of Josiah to this day, and set them for a statute on Israel, and behold, they are written beside the Lamentations.
und Jeremia dichtete ein Klagelied auf Josia, und alle Sänger und Sängerinnen redeten seitdem in ihren Klageliedern von Josia bis auf den heutigen Tag. Und man machte sie zu einer dauernden Satzung für Israel, und sie finden sich aufgezeichnet in den Klageliedern.
26 And the rest of the matters of Josiah and his kind acts, according as it is written in the Law of YHWH,
Die übrige Geschichte Josias aber und seine frommen, der Vorschrift im Gesetze Jahwes entsprechenden Thaten,
27 even his matters, the first and the last, behold, they are written on the scroll of the kings of Israel and Judah.
sowie seine frühere und spätere Geschichte, finden sich aufgezeichnet im Buche der Könige von Israel und Juda.
