2 Chronicles 31
1 And at the completion of all this, all [those of] Israel who are found present have gone out to the cities of Judah, and break the standing-pillars, and cut down the Asherim, and break down the high places and the altars, out of all Judah and Benjamin, and in Ephraim and Manasseh, even to completion, and all the sons of Israel return, each to his possession, to their cities.
இவையெல்லாம் முடிந்தபோது அங்கேயிருந்த இஸ்ரயேலர்கள் வெளியே யூதா பட்டணங்களுக்குச் சென்று புனித கற்களை நொறுக்கி, அசேரா விக்கிரக தூண்களை வெட்டி வீழ்த்தினார்கள். அவர்கள் உயர்ந்த பலிபீடங்களை அழித்து, யூதா, பென்யமீன், எப்பிராயீம், மனாசே முழுவதிலுமுள்ள பலிமேடைகளையும் அழித்துப்போட்டார்கள். அவர்கள் இவற்றையெல்லாம் அழித்தபின்பு இஸ்ரயேலர் தங்கள் சொந்தப் பட்டணங்களுக்கும் தங்கள் சொந்த உடைமைக்கும் திரும்பினார்கள்.
2 And Hezekiah appoints the divisions of the priests and of the Levites, by their divisions, each according to his service, of the priests and of the Levites, for burnt-offering and for peace-offerings, to minister and to give thanks, and to give praise in the gates of the camps of YHWH.
எசேக்கியா ஆசாரியர்களையும் லேவியர்களையும் அவர்கள் பிரிவுகளின்படி நியமித்தான். ஆசாரியர்களாகவோ, லேவியர்களாகவோ அவர்களின் கடமைகளுக்கேற்ற அந்த ஒவ்வொரு பிரிவும் அமைந்தது. அவர்கள் தகன காணிக்கை செலுத்துவதற்கும், சமாதான காணிக்கை செலுத்துவதற்கும், வழிபாட்டு ஊழியம் செய்வதற்கும், நன்றி செலுத்துவதற்கும், யெகோவாவின் உறைவிடத்தின் வாசல்களில் துதிகளைப் பாடுவதற்கும் பிரிவுகளாக நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.
3 And a portion of the king, from his substance, [is] for burnt-offerings, for burnt-offerings of the morning and of the evening, and the burnt-offerings of Sabbaths, and of new moons, and of appointed times, as it is written in the Law of YHWH.
யெகோவாவின் சட்டத்தில் எழுதியுள்ளபடி அரசன் காலையிலும் மாலையிலும் செலுத்தும் தகன காணிக்கைகளுக்காகவும், ஓய்வுநாட்களிலும், அமாவாசை நாட்களிலும், நியமிக்கப்பட்ட பண்டிகை நாட்களிலும் செலுத்தவேண்டிய தகன காணிக்கைகளுக்காகவும் தனது சொந்த உடைமையிலிருந்தே தேவையானவற்றைக் கொடுத்தான்.
4 And he commands to the people, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to give the portion of the priests and of the Levites, so that they are strengthened in the Law of YHWH;
ஆசாரியரும் லேவியர்களும் யெகோவாவின் சட்டத்தின்படி பொறுப்புகளுக்குத் தங்களை ஒப்படைக்கும்படி, எருசலேமில் வாழும் மக்கள் அவர்களுக்குரிய பங்கைக் கொடுக்கவேண்டுமென அவன் உத்தரவிட்டிருந்தான்.
5 and at the spreading forth of the thing, the sons of Israel have multiplied the first-fruit of grain, new wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field, and they have brought in the tithe of the whole in abundance.
உத்தரவு பிறப்பிக்கப்பட்டதும் இஸ்ரயேலர்கள் தங்கள் தானியம், புதிய திராட்சை இரசம், எண்ணெய், தேன் ஆகியவற்றிலும், வயல் விளைவித்த எல்லாவற்றிலுமிருந்தும் முதற்பலன்களைத் தாராள மனதுடன் கொடுத்தார்கள். எல்லாவற்றிலும் இருந்து பத்திலொரு பாகத்தை ஏராளமாகக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.
6 And the sons of Israel and Judah, those dwelling in cities of Judah, have also brought in a tithe of herd and flock, and a tithe of the holy things that are sanctified to their God YHWH, and they set [them in] heaps of heaps.
யூதா பட்டணங்களில் வாழ்ந்த இஸ்ரயேல், யூதா மனிதர்களும் அவர்களின் மாட்டு மந்தைகளிலும், ஆட்டு மந்தைகளிலும் பத்திலொரு பங்குகளையும் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். அத்துடன் தங்கள் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கென அர்ப்பணித்திருந்த பரிசுத்த பொருட்களிலும் பத்திலொன்றைக் கொண்டுவந்து, அவற்றைக் குவியலாகக் குவித்தார்கள்.
7 In the third month they have begun to lay the foundation of the heaps, and in the seventh month they have finished.
இவர்கள் இதை மூன்றாம் மாதத்தில் செய்ய ஆரம்பித்து ஏழாம் மாதத்தில் முடித்தார்கள்.
8 And Hezekiah and the heads come in and see the heaps, and bless YHWH and His people Israel,
எசேக்கியாவும் அவன் அதிகாரிகளும் வந்து அந்தக் குவியல்களைக் கண்டபோது அவர்கள் யெகோவாவைத் துதித்து, அவரது மக்களான இஸ்ரயேலரை ஆசீர்வதித்தார்கள்.
9 and Hezekiah inquires at the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps,
எசேக்கியா ஆசாரியர்களிடமும் லேவியர்களிடமும் குவியல்களைப் பற்றி விசாரித்தான்.
10 and Azariah the head priest, of the house of Zadok, speaks to him and says, “From the beginning of the bringing of the raised-offering to the house of YHWH, [there is enough] to eat, and to be satisfied, and to leave abundantly, for YHWH has blessed His people, and that left [is] this store.”
அதற்கு சாதோக்கின் குடும்பத்தைச் சேர்ந்த தலைமை ஆசாரியன் அசரியா, “மக்கள் காணிக்கைகளை யெகோவாவினுடைய ஆலயத்திற்குக் கொண்டுவரத் தொடங்கியதுமுதல், நாங்கள் சாப்பிடுவதற்குத் தாராளமாய் இருக்கிறது. அதற்கு அதிகமாகவும் இருக்கிறது. ஏனெனில் யெகோவா தமது மக்களை ஆசீர்வதித்திருக்கிறார். அதனால் இவ்வளவு ஏராளமாக மீதமுமிருக்கிறது” எனப் பதிலளித்தான்.
11 And Hezekiah commands to prepare chambers in the house of YHWH, and they prepare,
யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தில் களஞ்சியங்களை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தும்படி எசேக்கியா கட்டளையிட்டான்; அது அப்படியே செய்யப்பட்டது.
12 and they bring in the raised-offering, and the tithe, and the holy things faithfully; and over them is a leader, Conaniah the Levite, and his brother Shimei [is] second;
அப்பொழுது அவர்கள் காணிக்கைகளையும், பத்திலொரு பாகத்தையும், அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட நன்கொடைகளையும் உண்மையான மனதுடன் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள். இவற்றிற்கு லேவியனான கொனனியா பொறுப்பாக இருந்தான். அவனுடைய சகோதரன் சிமேயி பதவியில் அவனுக்கு அடுத்ததாக இருந்தான்.
13 and Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, [are] inspectors under the hand of Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah leader of the house of God.
யெகியேல், அசசியா, நாகாத், ஆசகேல், எரிமோத், யோசபாத், எலியேல், இஸ்மகியா, மாகாத், பெனாயா ஆகியோர் எசேக்கியா அரசனால் நியமிக்கப்பட்டு, கொனனியாவுக்கும், அவன் சகோதரன் சிமேயிவுக்கும் கீழ் மேற்பார்வையாளர்களாக இருந்தார்கள். அசரியா இறைவனின் ஆலயத்திற்குப் பொறுப்பான அதிகாரியாயிருந்தான்.
14 And Kore son of Imnah the Levite, the gatekeeper at the east, [is] over the willing-offerings of God, to give the raised-offering of YHWH, and the most holy things.
கிழக்குவாசல் காக்கிற லேவியனான இம்னாயின் மகன் கோரே என்பவன் இறைவனுக்குக் கொடுக்கப்படும் சுயவிருப்பக் காணிக்கைகளுக்குப் பொறுப்பாயிருந்தான். யெகோவாவுக்குச் செலுத்தப்படும் காணிக்கைகளையும், அர்ப்பணிக்கப்பட்ட நன்கொடைகளையும் இவனே பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுத்தான்.
15 And by his hand [are] Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shechaniah, in cities of the priests, faithfully to give to their brothers in divisions, as the great so the small,
ஏதேன், மின்யமீன், யெசுவா, செமாயா, அமரியா, செக்கனியா ஆகியோர் உண்மையுடனிருந்து உதவி செய்தார்கள். இவர்கள் ஆசாரியர்களின் பட்டணங்களில் இருந்த தங்கள் உடன் ஆசாரியருக்கு அவர்களுடைய பிரிவுகளின்படி முதியோர், இளையோர் என்ற பாகுபாடின்றி பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.
16 apart from their genealogy, to males from a son of three years and upward, to everyone who has gone into the house of YHWH, by the matter of a day in its day, for their service in their charges, according to their divisions;
அத்துடன் வம்சவரலாறு பதிவுசெய்யப்பட்டிருந்த மூன்று வயதுடையவர்களுக்கும், அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுடைய ஆண்களுக்கும் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுத்தார்கள். இவர்கள் எல்லோரும் தங்களது பிரிவின்படியும், பொறுப்புகளின்படியும் பலதரப்பட்ட கடமைகளில் தங்களது அன்றாட வேலைகளைச் செய்து முடிப்பதற்கு யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்குள் போகக்கூடியவர்களாய் இருந்தார்கள்.
17 and the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers, and of the Levites, from a son of twenty years and upward, in their charges, in their divisions;
அத்துடன் அவர்கள், வம்சாவழி அட்டவணையில் பதிவு செய்யப்பட்ட ஆசாரியர்களின் குடும்பங்களுக்கும் அவர்களின் எண்ணிக்கைப்படி பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுத்தார்கள். இதுபோலவே இருபது வயதும், அதற்கு மேற்பட்ட வயதுடையவர்களுமான லேவியர்களுக்கு அவர்களின் பிரிவின்படியும், பொறுப்புகளின்படியும் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுத்தார்கள்.
18 and to the genealogy among all their infants, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters to all the congregation, for in their faithfulness they sanctify themselves in holiness.
இந்த வம்சாவழி அட்டவணையில் எழுதப்பட்டிருந்த முழுச்சமுதாயத்தையும் சேர்ந்த எல்லாச் சிறியவர்களையும், மனைவிகளையும், மகன்களையும், மகள்களையும் இதில் உள்ளடக்கியிருந்தார்கள். ஏனெனில் அவர்கள் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தப்படுத்துவதில் உண்மையாயிருந்தார்கள்.
19 And for sons of Aaron, the priests, in the fields of the outskirt of their cities, in each and every city, [are] men who have been defined by name, to give portions to every male among the priests, and to everyone who reckoned himself by genealogy among the Levites.
தங்கள் பட்டணங்களைச் சுற்றியுள்ள வயல் நிலங்களிலோ அல்லது வேறு பட்டணங்களிலோ வாழ்ந்த ஆரோனின் சந்ததிகளான ஆசாரியர்களைப் பொறுத்தமட்டில், அவர்களுக்குப் பங்கிட்டுக் கொடுக்க மனிதர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்கள். அவ்வாறு அவர்கள் மக்கள் மத்தியில் இருந்த எல்லா ஆண்களுக்கும், லேவியர்களின் வம்சாவழி அட்டவணையில் பதிவுசெய்யப்பட்டிருந்த எல்லோருக்கும் பங்குகளைப் பங்கிட்டுக்கொடுக்கும்படி, பெயர் குறிப்பிடப்பட்ட மனிதர் நியமிக்கப்பட்டார்கள்.
20 And Hezekiah does thus in all Judah, and does that which is good, and that which is right, and that which is true, before his God YHWH;
எசேக்கியா யூதா முழுவதற்கும் இறைவனாகிய யெகோவாவுக்கு முன்பாக நல்லதும், நியாயமும், உண்மையுமானதைச் செய்தான்.
21 and in every work that he has begun for the service of the house of God, and for the Law, and for the command, to seek for his God with all his heart, he has worked and prospered.
இறைவனின் ஆலயத்தின் பணியிலும், சட்டத்திற்கும் கட்டளைகளுக்கும் கீழ்ப்படிவதிலும், அவன் ஏற்றுக்கொண்ட எல்லாவற்றிலும் எசேக்கியா தனது இறைவனைத் தேடி முழு இருதயத்துடனும் செயல்பட்டான். அதனால் அவன் செழிப்படைந்தான்.
