2 Chronicles 31
1 And at the completion of all this, all [those of] Israel who are found present have gone out to the cities of Judah, and break the standing-pillars, and cut down the Asherim, and break down the high places and the altars, out of all Judah and Benjamin, and in Ephraim and Manasseh, even to completion, and all the sons of Israel return, each to his possession, to their cities.
Terminado todo esto, salió Israel entero, todos los que allí se hallaban, a recorrer las ciudades de Judá; y quebraron las piedras de culto, cortaron las ascheras y derribaron los lugares altos y los altares en todo Judá y Benjamín, y también en Efraím y Manasés, hasta acabar con ellos. Después volvieron todos los hijos de Israel cada cual a su posesión en sus ciudades.
2 And Hezekiah appoints the divisions of the priests and of the Levites, by their divisions, each according to his service, of the priests and of the Levites, for burnt-offering and for peace-offerings, to minister and to give thanks, and to give praise in the gates of the camps of YHWH.
Ezequías restableció las clases de los sacerdotes y de los levitas según sus divisiones, (designando) a cada uno de los sacerdotes y de los levitas, su función en los holocaustos y sacrificios pacíficos, y en lo tocante al ministerio, las alabanzas y cantos dentro de las puertas del Campamento de Yahvé.
3 And a portion of the king, from his substance, [is] for burnt-offerings, for burnt-offerings of the morning and of the evening, and the burnt-offerings of Sabbaths, and of new moons, and of appointed times, as it is written in the Law of YHWH.
Una porción de la propiedad del rey estaba (destinada) para los holocaustos de la mañana y de la tarde; y para los holocaustos de los sábados, de los novilunios y de las fiestas según lo prescrito en la Ley de Yahvé.
4 And he commands to the people, to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, to give the portion of the priests and of the Levites, so that they are strengthened in the Law of YHWH;
Mandó también al pueblo que habitaba en Jerusalén, que diesen a los sacerdotes y a los levitas las porciones correspondientes, a fin de que pudiesen dedicarse exclusivamente a la Ley de Yahvé.
5 and at the spreading forth of the thing, the sons of Israel have multiplied the first-fruit of grain, new wine, and oil, and honey, and of all the increase of the field, and they have brought in the tithe of the whole in abundance.
Cuando se promulgó esta disposición, los hijos de Israel, trajeron en abundancia las primicias del trigo, del vino, del aceite y de la miel y de todos los productos del campo; trajeron también en abundancia el diezmo de todo.
6 And the sons of Israel and Judah, those dwelling in cities of Judah, have also brought in a tithe of herd and flock, and a tithe of the holy things that are sanctified to their God YHWH, and they set [them in] heaps of heaps.
Los hijos de Israel y de Judá, que habitaban en las ciudades de Judá, presentaron igualmente el diezmo del ganado mayor y menor, y el diezmo de las cosas santas que eran consagradas a Yahvé su Dios, e hicieron de ello grandes montones.
7 In the third month they have begun to lay the foundation of the heaps, and in the seventh month they have finished.
En el mes tercero comenzaron a formar aquellos montones y terminaron en el mes séptimo.
8 And Hezekiah and the heads come in and see the heaps, and bless YHWH and His people Israel,
Vinieron Ezequías y los príncipes a ver los montones y bendijeron a Yahvé y a Israel, su pueblo.
9 and Hezekiah inquires at the priests and the Levites concerning the heaps,
Cuando Ezequías preguntó a los sacerdotes y a los levitas acerca de los montones,
10 and Azariah the head priest, of the house of Zadok, speaks to him and says, “From the beginning of the bringing of the raised-offering to the house of YHWH, [there is enough] to eat, and to be satisfied, and to leave abundantly, for YHWH has blessed His people, and that left [is] this store.”
respondió el Sumo Sacerdote Azarías, de la casa de Sadoc, y dijo: “Desde que se ha comenzado a traer las ofrendas a la Casa de Yahvé, hemos comido y nos hemos saciado, y aún sobra muchísimo; porque Yahvé ha bendecido a su pueblo; y esta gran cantidad es lo que sobra.”
11 And Hezekiah commands to prepare chambers in the house of YHWH, and they prepare,
Entonces mandó Ezequías que se hiciesen depósitos en la Casa de Yahvé. Los hicieron,
12 and they bring in the raised-offering, and the tithe, and the holy things faithfully; and over them is a leader, Conaniah the Levite, and his brother Shimei [is] second;
y metieron allí fielmente las ofrendas, los diezmos y las cosas consagradas. El levita Conenías fue constituido intendente de ellos, y Semeí, su hermano, era su sustituto.
13 and Jehiel, and Azaziah, and Nahath, and Asahel, and Jerimoth, and Jozabad, and Eliel, and Ismachiah, and Mahath, and Benaiah, [are] inspectors under the hand of Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by the appointment of Hezekiah the king, and Azariah leader of the house of God.
Jehiel, Azarías, Nahat, Asael, Jerimot, Josabad, Eliel, Ismaquías, Mahat y Banaías eran inspectores, a las órdenes de Conenías y de Semeí, su hermano, según las disposiciones del rey Ezequías y de Azarías, príncipe de la Casa de Dios.
14 And Kore son of Imnah the Levite, the gatekeeper at the east, [is] over the willing-offerings of God, to give the raised-offering of YHWH, and the most holy things.
El levita Coré, hijo de Imná, portero de la puerta oriental, estaba encargado de las ofrendas voluntarias hechas a Dios, para repartir las porciones consagradas a Yahvé y las cosas santísimas.
15 And by his hand [are] Eden, and Miniamin, and Jeshua, and Shemaiah, Amariah, and Shechaniah, in cities of the priests, faithfully to give to their brothers in divisions, as the great so the small,
En las ciudades sacerdotales estaban bajo sus órdenes Edén, Minyamín, Jesúa, Semeías, Amarías y Secanías, para repartir fielmente (las porciones) a sus hermanos, así grandes como chicos,
16 apart from their genealogy, to males from a son of three years and upward, to everyone who has gone into the house of YHWH, by the matter of a day in its day, for their service in their charges, according to their divisions;
exceptuando a los varones de tres años para arriba inscritos en las genealogías, y a todos los que entraban en la Casa de Yahvé, como lo exigía cada día, para cumplir los oficios de su ministerio, según sus clases.
17 and the genealogy of the priests by the house of their fathers, and of the Levites, from a son of twenty years and upward, in their charges, in their divisions;
Los sacerdotes estaban inscritos en las genealogías, conforme a sus casas paternas, y los levitas de veinte años para arriba, según su ministerio y sus clases.
18 and to the genealogy among all their infants, their wives, and their sons, and their daughters to all the congregation, for in their faithfulness they sanctify themselves in holiness.
Estaban inscritos en las genealogías también todos sus niños, sus mujeres, sus hijos, y sus hijas, de entre toda la asamblea, porque se consagraban exclusivamente al servicio sagrado.
19 And for sons of Aaron, the priests, in the fields of the outskirt of their cities, in each and every city, [are] men who have been defined by name, to give portions to every male among the priests, and to everyone who reckoned himself by genealogy among the Levites.
Para los sacerdotes, hijos de Aarón, que vivían en el campo, en los ejidos de sus ciudades, había en cada ciudad hombres designados nominalmente, para dar las porciones a todos los varones de entre los sacerdotes, y a todos los levitas inscritos en las genealogías.
20 And Hezekiah does thus in all Judah, and does that which is good, and that which is right, and that which is true, before his God YHWH;
Así hizo Ezequías en todo Judá, y obró lo que era bueno y recto y verdadero ante Yahvé, su Dios.
21 and in every work that he has begun for the service of the house of God, and for the Law, and for the command, to seek for his God with all his heart, he has worked and prospered.
En todo aquello que emprendió respecto del ministerio de la Casa de Dios, la Ley y los mandamientos, obró con todo su corazón y tuvo éxito.
