2 Chronicles 29

1 Hezekiah [was] a son of twenty-five years [when] he has reigned, and he has reigned twenty-nine years in Jerusalem, and the name of his mother [is] Abijah daughter of Zechariah;

௧எசேக்கியா இருபத்தைந்தாம் வயதில் ராஜாவாகி, இருபத்தொன்பது வருடங்கள் எருசலேமில் ஆட்சிசெய்தான்; சகரியாவின் மகளாகிய அவனுடைய தாயின் பெயர் அபியாள்.

2 and he does that which is right in the eyes of YHWH, according to all that his father David did.

௨அவன் தன் தகப்பனாகிய தாவீது செய்தபடியெல்லாம் யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்கு செம்மையானதைச் செய்தான்.

3 He, in the first year of his reign, in the first month, has opened the doors of the house of YHWH, and strengthens them,

௩அவன் தன் அரசாட்சியின் முதலாம் வருடம் முதலாம் மாதத்தில் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் கதவுகளைத் திறந்து, அவைகளைப் பழுதுபார்த்து,

4 and brings in the priests and the Levites, and gathers them to the broad place to the east.

௪ஆசாரியர்களையும் லேவியர்களையும் அழைத்துவந்து, அவர்களைக் கிழக்கு வீதியிலே கூடிவரச்செய்து,

5 And he says to them, “Hear me, O Levites, now sanctify yourselves, and sanctify the house of YHWH, God of your fathers, and bring out the impurity from the holy place,

௫அவர்களை நோக்கி: லேவியரே, கேளுங்கள்: நீங்கள் இப்போது உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம் செய்துகொண்டு, உங்கள் முன்னோர்களின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தைப் பரிசுத்தம்செய்து, அசுத்தமானதைப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து வெளியே கொண்டுபோங்கள்.

6 for our fathers have trespassed, and done that which is evil in the eyes of our God YHWH, and forsake him, and turn around their faces from the Dwelling Place of YHWH, and give the neck.

௬நம்முடைய முன்னோர்கள் துரோகம்செய்து, நம்முடைய தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவின் பார்வைக்குப் பொல்லாப்பானதைச் செய்து, அவரைவிட்டு விலகி, தங்கள் முகங்களைக் யெகோவாவுடைய வாசஸ்தலத்தைவிட்டுத் திருப்பி, அதற்கு முதுகைக் காட்டினார்கள்.

7 They have also shut the doors of the porch, and quench the lamps, and they have not made incense, and have not caused burnt-offering to ascend in the holy place to the God of Israel,

௭அவர்கள் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்தில் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனுக்கு சர்வாங்க தகனபலி செலுத்தாமலும், தூபங்காட்டாமலும், விளக்குகளை அணைத்துப்போட்டு, மண்டபத்தின் கதவுகளையும் பூட்டிப்போட்டார்கள்.

8 and the wrath of YHWH is on Judah and Jerusalem, and He gives them for a trembling, for an astonishment, and for a hissing, as you are seeing with your eyes.

௮ஆகையால் யெகோவாவுடைய கடுங்கோபம் யூதாவின்மேலும் எருசலேமின்மேலும் வந்து, அவர் இவர்களை, நீங்கள் உங்கள் கண்களினால் பார்க்கிறபடி, துயரத்திற்கும், திகைப்பிற்கும், கேலிக்கும் ஒப்புக்கொடுத்தார்.

9 And behold, our fathers have fallen by the sword, and our sons, and our daughters, and our wives [are] in captivity for this.

௯இதினிமித்தம் நம்முடைய முன்னோர்கள் பட்டயத்தால் விழுந்து, நம்முடைய மகன்களும், மகள்களும், மனைவிகளும் சிறையிருப்பில் பிடிபட்டார்கள்.

10 Now [it is] with my heart to make a covenant before YHWH, God of Israel, and the fierceness of His anger turns back from us.

௧0இப்போதும் இஸ்ரவேலின் தேவனாகிய யெகோவாவுடைய கடுங்கோபம் நம்மைவிட்டுத் திரும்பும்படிக்கு, அவரோடு உடன்படிக்கைசெய்ய என் மனதிலே தீர்மானித்துக்கொண்டேன்.

11 My sons, do not be at rest now, for YHWH has fixed on you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and to be ministering and making incense to Him.”

௧௧என் மகன்களே, இப்பொழுது அசதியாக இருக்கவேண்டாம்; நீங்கள் யெகோவாவுக்குப் பணிவிடை செய்யும்படி அவருக்கு முன்பாக நிற்கவும், அவருக்கு ஊழியம்செய்கிறவர்களும் தூபம்காட்டுகிறவர்களுமாக இருக்கவும் உங்களை அவர் தெரிந்து கொண்டார் என்றான்.

12 And the Levites rise—Mahath son of Amasai, and Joel son of Azariah, of the sons of the Kohathite; and of the sons of Merari: Kish son of Abdi, and Azariah son of Jehalelel; and of the Gershonite: Joah son of Zimmah, and Eden son of Joah;

௧௨அப்பொழுது கோகாத் வம்சத்தாரில் அமாசாயின் மகன் மாகாத்தும், அசரியாவின் மகன் யோவேலும், மெராரியின் வம்சத்தாரில் அப்தியின் மகன் கீசும், எகலேலின் மகன் அசரியாவும், கெர்சோனியரில் சிம்மாவின் மகன் யோவாகும், யோவாகின் மகன் ஏதேனும்,

13 and of the sons of Elizaphan: Shimri and Jeiel; and of the sons of Asaph: Zechariah and Mattaniah;

௧௩எலிசாபான் வம்சத்தாரில் சிம்ரியும், ஏயெலும், ஆசாப்பின் வம்சத்தாரில் சகரியாவும், மத்தனியாவும்,

14 and of the sons of Heman: Jehiel and Shimei; and of the sons of Jeduthun: Shemaiah and Uzziel—

௧௪ஏமானின் வம்சத்தாரில் எகியேலும், சிமேயியும், எதுத்தூனின் வம்சத்தாரில் செமாயாவும், ஊசியேலும் என்னும் லேவியர்கள் எழும்பி,

15 and they gather their brothers, and sanctify themselves, and come in, according to the command of the king in the matters of YHWH, to cleanse the house of YHWH,

௧௫தங்கள் சகோதரர்களைக் கூடிவரச்செய்து, பரிசுத்தம்செய்துகொண்டு, யெகோவாவுடைய வசனங்களுக்கு ஏற்ற ராஜாவினுடைய கற்பனையின்படியே யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தை சுத்திகரிக்க வந்தார்கள்.

16 and the priests come into the inner part of the house of YHWH to cleanse [it], and bring out all the uncleanness that they have found in the temple of YHWH to the court of the house of YHWH, and the Levites receive [it], to take [it] out to the Brook of Kidron outside.

௧௬ஆசாரியர்கள் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தை சுத்திகரிப்பதற்காக உள்ளே பிரவேசித்து, யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தில் கண்ட அனைத்து அசுத்தத்தையும் வெளியே யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயப்பிராகாரத்தில் கொண்டு வந்தார்கள்; அப்பொழுது லேவியர்கள் அதை எடுத்து வெளியே கீதரோன் ஆற்றிற்குக் கொண்டு போனார்கள்.

17 And they begin to sanctify on the first of the first month, and on the eighth day of the month they have come to the porch of YHWH, and they sanctify the house of YHWH in eight days, and on the sixteenth day of the first month they have finished.

௧௭முதல் மாதம் முதல் தேதியிலே அவர்கள் பரிசுத்தம் செய்யத்தொடங்கி, எட்டாம் தேதியிலே யெகோவாவுடைய மண்டபத்திலே பிரவேசித்து, யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தை எட்டுநாளில் பரிசுத்தம்செய்து, முதலாம் மாதம் பதினாறாம் தேதியில் அதை முடித்தார்கள்.

18 And they come in to Hezekiah the king within, and say, “We have cleansed all the house of YHWH, and the altar of the burnt-offering, and all its vessels, and the table of the arrangement, and all its vessels,

௧௮அவர்கள் ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியாவிடம் போய்: நாங்கள் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்தையும், சர்வாங்க தகனபலிபீடத்தையும், அதனுடைய அனைத்து தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும், சமுகத்து அப்பங்களின் மேஜையையும், அதின் அனைத்து தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும் தூய்மைப்படுத்தி,

19 and all the vessels that King Ahaz cast away in his reign—in his trespass—we have prepared and sanctified, and behold, they [are] before the altar of YHWH.”

௧௯ராஜாவாகிய ஆகாஸ் அரசாளும்போது தம்முடைய பாதகத்தால் எறிந்துபோட்ட அனைத்து தட்டுமுட்டுகளையும் ஒழுங்குபடுத்திப் பரிசுத்தம்செய்தோம்; இதோ, அவைகள் யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்கு முன்பாக இருக்கிறது என்றார்கள்.

20 And Hezekiah the king rises early, and gathers the heads of the city, and goes up to the house of YHWH;

௨0அப்பொழுது ராஜாவாகிய எசேக்கியா காலையிலேயே எழுந்திருந்து, நகரத்தின் பிரபுக்களைக் கூட்டிக்கொண்டு, யெகோவாவின் ஆலயத்திற்குப் போனான்.

21 and they bring in seven bullocks, and seven rams, and seven lambs, and seven young male goats, for a sin-offering for the kingdom, and for the sanctuary, and for Judah; and he commands to sons of Aaron, the priests, to cause [them] to ascend on the altar of YHWH.

௨௧அப்பொழுது அரசாட்சிக்காகவும் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திற்காகவும் யூதாவுக்காகவும் ஏழு காளைகளையும், ஏழு ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களையும், ஏழு ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும், ஏழு வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாக்களையும் பாவநிவாரணபலியாகக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவைகளைக் யெகோவாவுடைய பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் பலியிடுங்கள் என்று அவன் ஆசாரியராகிய ஆரோனின் சந்ததியான மகன்களுக்குச் சொன்னான்.

22 And they slaughter the oxen, and the priests receive the blood, and sprinkle on the altar; and they slaughter the rams, and sprinkle the blood on the altar; and they slaughter the lambs, and sprinkle the blood on the altar;

௨௨அப்படியே ஆசாரியர்கள் காளைகளை அடித்து, அந்த இரத்தத்தைப் பிடித்து பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தெளித்தார்கள்; ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களை அடித்து, அவைகளின் இரத்தத்தைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தெளித்தார்கள்; ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளையும் அடித்து, அவைகளின் இரத்தத்தையும் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தெளித்தார்கள்.

23 and they bring the male goats of the sin-offering near before the king and the assembly, and they lay their hands on them;

௨௩பிறகு பாவநிவாரண பலிக்கான வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாக்களை ராஜாவுக்கும் சபையாருக்கும் முன்பாகக் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்; அவைகள்மேல் அவர்கள் தங்கள் கைகளை வைத்தார்கள்.

24 and the priests slaughter them, and make a sin-offering with their blood on the altar, to make atonement for all Israel, that “For all Israel,” said the king, “[is] the burnt-offering and the sin-offering.”

௨௪இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்திற்காகவும், சர்வாங்க தகனபலியையும் பாவநிவாரணபலியையும் செலுத்துங்கள் என்று ராஜா சொல்லியிருந்தான்; ஆதலால் ஆசாரியர்கள் அவைகளை அடித்து, இஸ்ரவேல் அனைத்திற்கும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி உண்டாக்க, அவைகளின் இரத்தத்தால் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் பரிகாரம் செய்தார்கள்.

25 And he appoints the Levites in the house of YHWH with cymbals, with psalteries, and with harps, by the command of David, and of Gad, seer of the king, and of Nathan the prophet, for the command [is] by the hand of YHWH, by the hand of His prophets;

௨௫அவன், தாவீதும், ராஜாவின் தரிசனம் காண்கிறவனாகிய காத்தும், தீர்க்கதரிசியாகிய நாத்தானும் கற்பித்தபடியே, கைத்தாளங்களையும் தம்புருக்களையும் சுரமண்டலங்களையும் வாசிக்கிற லேவியர்களைக் யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திலே நிறுத்தினான்; இப்படி செய்யவேண்டும் என்கிற கற்பனை கர்த்தரால் அவருடைய தீர்க்கதரிசிகளைக்கொண்டு உண்டாயிருந்தது.

26 and the Levites stand with the instruments of David, and the priests with the trumpets.

௨௬அப்படியே லேவியர்கள் தாவீதின் கீதவாத்தியங்களையும், ஆசாரியர்கள் பூரிகைகளையும் பிடித்து நின்றார்கள்.

27 And Hezekiah commands to cause the burnt-offering to ascend on the altar; and at the time the burnt-offering began, the song of YHWH began, and the trumpets, and with [the] hands of [the] instruments of David king of Israel.

௨௭அப்பொழுது எசேக்கியா சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் செலுத்தக் கட்டளையிட்டான்; அதை செலுத்த ஆரம்பித்த நேரத்தில் யெகோவாவை துதிக்கும் கீதமும் பூரிகைகளும், இஸ்ரவேல் ராஜாவாகிய தாவீது ஏற்படுத்தின கீதவாத்தியங்களும் முழங்கத்தொடங்கினது.

28 And all the assembly are worshiping, and the singers singing, and the trumpeters blowing; the whole [is] until the completion of the burnt-offering.

௨௮பாடலைப் பாடி, பூரிகைகளை ஊதிக்கொண்டிருக்கும்போது, சர்வாங்க தகனபலியைச் செலுத்தி முடியும்வரை சபையார் எல்லோரும் பணிந்துகொண்டிருந்தார்கள்.

29 And at the completion of the offering up, the king and all those found with him have bowed, and pay respect.

௨௯பலியிட்டு முடிந்தபோது, ராஜாவும் அவனோடிருந்த அனைவரும் தலைகுனிந்து பணிந்துகொண்டார்கள்.

30 And Hezekiah the king commands—and the princes—to the Levites [to cause them] to give praise to YHWH in the words of David, and of Asaph the seer, and they praise—to joy, and they bow, and pay respect.

௩0பின்பு எசேக்கியா ராஜாவும் பிரபுக்களும் லேவியர்களை நோக்கி: நீங்கள் தாவீதும் தரிசனம் காண்கிறவனாகிய ஆசாபும் பாடின வார்த்தைகளால் யெகோவாவை துதியுங்கள் என்றார்கள்; அப்பொழுது மகிழ்ச்சியோடு துதிசெய்து தலைகுனிந்து பணிந்துகொண்டார்கள்.

31 And Hezekiah answers and says, “Now you have filled your hand for YHWH, come near, and bring in sacrifices and thank-offerings to the house of YHWH”; and the assembly brings in sacrifices and thank-offerings, and every willing-hearted one—burnt-offerings.

௩௧அதின்பின்பு எசேக்கியா: இப்போதும் நீங்கள் கர்த்தருக்கென்று உங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம்செய்தீர்கள்; ஆகையால் அருகில் வந்து, யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்திற்கு தகனபலிகளையும் ஸ்தோத்திரபலிகளையும் கொண்டுவாருங்கள் என்றான்; அப்பொழுது சபையாரில் விருப்பமுள்ளவர்கள் சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளையும் மற்றவர்கள் தகனபலிகளையும் ஸ்தோத்திரபலிகளையும் கொண்டுவந்தார்கள்.

32 And the number of the burnt-offerings that the assembly has brought in is seventy oxen, one hundred rams, [and] two hundred lambs; for all these [are] a burnt-offering to YHWH.

௩௨சபையார் கொண்டுவந்த சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளின் தொகை எழுபது காளைகளும், நூறு ஆட்டுக்கடாக்களும், இருநூறு ஆட்டுக்குட்டிகளுமே; இவைகளெல்லாம் யெகோவாவுக்கு சர்வாங்க தகனமாயின.

33 And the sanctified things [are] six hundred oxen and three thousand sheep.

௩௩அறுநூறு காளைகளும் மூவாயிரம் ஆடுகளும் பிரதிஷ்டை செய்யப்பட்டது.

34 Only, the priests have become few, and have not been able to strip the whole of the burnt-offerings, and their brothers the Levites strengthen them until the completion of the work, and until the priests sanctify themselves, for the Levites [are] more upright of heart to sanctify themselves than the priests.

௩௪ஆனாலும் ஆசாரியர்களின் எண்ணிக்கை குறைவாக இருந்ததால் அவர்களால் அந்த சர்வாங்க தகனமான ஜீவன்களையெல்லாம் அடித்துத் தோலுரிக்க முடியாமலிருந்தது; அதனால் அந்த வேலை முடியும்வரைக்கும், மற்ற ஆசாரியர்கள் தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம்செய்யும்வரைக்கும், அவர்களுடைய சகோதரர்களாகிய லேவியர்கள் அவர்களுக்கு உதவிசெய்தார்கள்; தங்களைப் பரிசுத்தம் செய்துகொள்ள லேவியர்கள் ஆசாரியர்களைவிட மன உற்சாகமுள்ளவர்களாக இருந்தார்கள்.

35 And also, burnt-offerings [are] in abundance, with fat of the peace-offerings, and with oblations for the burnt-offering; and the service of the house of YHWH is established,

௩௫சர்வாங்க தகனபலிகளும், ஸ்தோத்திரபலிகளின் கொழுப்பும், சர்வாங்கதகனங்களுக்குரிய பானபலிகளும் மிகுதியாயிருந்தது; இந்தவிதமாக யெகோவாவுடைய ஆலயத்தின் ஆராதனை திட்டம் செய்யப்பட்டது.

36 and Hezekiah and all the people rejoice because of God’s giving preparation to the people, for the thing has been suddenly.

௩௬தேவன் மக்களை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தியதைக்குறித்து எசேக்கியாவும் மக்கள் எல்லோரும் சந்தோஷப்பட்டார்கள்; இந்தக் காரியத்தை செய்வதற்கான யோசனை உடனடியாக உண்டானது.
