2 Chronicles 21
1 And Jehoshaphat lies with his fathers, and is buried with his fathers in the City of David, and his son Jehoram reigns in his stead.
Esi Yehosafat ku la, woɖii ɖe tɔgbuiawo dome le David ƒe Du la me, eye via Yehoram ɖu fia ɖe eteƒe.
2 And he has brothers, sons of Jehoshaphat: Azariah, and Jehiel, and Zechariah, and Azariah, and Michael, and Shephatiah; all these [are] sons of Jehoshaphat king of Israel,
Fofoa ƒe viŋutsu bubuwoe nye Azaria, Yehiel, Zekaria, Azaria, Mikael kple Sefatia.
3 and their father gives to them many gifts of silver and of gold, and of precious things, with fortified cities in Judah, and he has given the kingdom to Jehoram, for he [is] the firstborn.
Wo fofo na klosalo, sika kple nu xɔasi geɖewo wo kpe ɖe Yuda du siwo woglã la ŋu, ke etsɔ fiaɖuƒe la na Yehoram elabena eyae nye via ŋusu ŋgɔgbetɔ.
4 And Jehoram rises up over the kingdom of his father, and strengthens himself, and slays all his brothers with the sword, and also of the heads of Israel.
Esi Yehoram li ke eɖokui nyuie ɖe fofoa ƒe fiaɖuƒea dzi la, ewu nɔviŋutsuwo katã kple Israel ƒe fiaviŋutsu aɖewo hã.
5 Jehoram [is] a son of thirty-two years in his reigning, and he has reigned eight years in Jerusalem,
Yehoram xɔ ƒe blaetɔ̃-vɔ-eve esi wòzu fia. Eɖu fia le Yerusalem ƒe enyi.
6 and he walks in the way of the kings of Israel, as the house of Ahab did, for a daughter of Ahab has been to him for a wife, and he does evil in the eyes of YHWH,
Enye fia vɔ̃ɖi aɖe abe Ahab kple Israel fia bubuawo ene. Eɖe Ahab ƒe vinyɔnu eye wòwɔ nu si nye vɔ̃ le Yehowa ŋkume.
7 and YHWH has not been willing to destroy the house of David, for the sake of the covenant that He made with David, and as He had said to give a lamp to him and to his sons [for] all the days.
Ke Yehowa medi be yeatsi David ƒe viwo ƒe fiaɖuɖu nu o elabena ebla nu kple David be, yeana eƒe dzidzimeviwo dometɔ ɖeka nanɔ fiazikpui la dzi ɣe sia ɣi kokoko.
8 In his days Edom has revolted from under the hand of Judah, and they cause a king to reign over them;
Le Yehoram ƒe fiaɖuɣi la, Edomtɔwo dze aglã, ɖe wo ɖokui ɖa tso Yuda te eye woɖo fia na wo ɖokui.
9 and Jehoram passes over with his heads, and all the chariots with him, and it comes to pass, he has risen by night and strikes the Edomites who are coming around against him, and the princes of the chariots,
Ke Yehoram yi afi ma kple eƒe amegãwo kpakple tasiaɖamwo katã. Le zã me la, Edomʋakɔ va ɖe to ɖe kpe ɖe eƒe tasiaɖam megãwo ŋu. Ke Yehoram kple eƒe tasiaɖam megãwo kpe aʋa kple Edomtɔwo hekpe wo dzi hesi to wo dome dzo.
10 and Edom revolts from under the hand of Judah to this day; then Libnah revolts at that time from under his hand, because he has forsaken YHWH, God of his fathers;
Gake Edomtɔwo do le Yuda ƒe kɔkuti te va se ɖe egbe. Libna hã dze aglã elabena Yehoram trɔ le Yehowa, fofoawo ƒe Mawu yome.
11 also, he has made high places on the mountains of Judah, and causes the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit whoredom, and compels Judah.
Gawu la, Yehoram wɔ nuxeƒewo ɖe Yuda ƒe towo dzi eye wòzi eƒe amewo dzi be woasubɔ legbawo.
12 And a writing from Elijah the prophet comes to him, saying, “Thus said YHWH, God of your father David: Because that you have not walked in the ways of your father Jehoshaphat, and in the ways of Asa king of Judah,
Nu sia na Nyagblɔɖila Eliya ŋlɔ agbalẽ sia nɛ be, “Yehowa, tɔgbuiwò David ƒe Mawu la be, esi mèto fofowò Yehosafat alo Fia Asa ƒe afɔtoƒe o,
13 and you walk in the way of the kings of Israel, and cause Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem to commit whoredom like the whoredoms of the house of Ahab, and also your brothers, the house of your father, who are better than yourself, you have slain;
ke èvɔ̃ɖi abe fia siwo le Israel ene eye nèna Yerusalemtɔwo kple Yudatɔwo subɔ legbawo abe ale si wowɔ le Fia Ahab ŋɔli ene eye esi nèwu nɔviwòwo, ame siwo nyo wu wò ta la,
14 behold, YHWH is striking [with] a great striking among your people, and among your sons, and among your wives, and among all your goods—
Yehowa atsrɔ̃ wò dukɔ kple dɔvɔ̃ dziŋɔ aɖe azɔ. Woatsrɔ̃ wò ŋutɔ, viwòwo, srɔ̃wòwo kple nu siwo katã le asiwò.
15 and you, with many sicknesses, with disease of your bowels, until your bowels come out by the sickness, day by day.”
Dɔléle, aɖe fu na wò dɔkaviwo eye wò dɔmenuwo aƒaƒã.”
16 And YHWH wakes up against Jehoram the spirit of the Philistines and of the Arabians, who [are] beside the Cushim,
Ale Yehowa na Filistitɔwo kple Arabiatɔwo, ame siwo do liƒo kple Kustɔwo la ho aʋa ɖe Yehoram ŋu.
17 and they come up into Judah, and break into it, and take captive all the substance that is found at the house of the king, and also his sons, and his wives, and there has not been left to him a son except Jehoahaz the youngest of his sons.
Wozɔ ɖe Yuda dzi, ge ɖe woƒe anyigba dzi; wotsɔ nu xɔasi ɖe sia ɖe si nɔ fiasã la me eye wolé fia la ƒe viwo kple srɔ̃awo dzoe. Fia ƒe vi suetɔ, Yehoahaz, koe te ŋu si.
18 And after all this YHWH has plagued him in his bowels by a disease for which there is no healing,
Le esiawo megbe la, Yehowa na dɔléle dze Fia Yehoram ƒe dɔmenuwo dzi.
19 and it comes to pass, from days to days, and at the time of the going out of the end of two years, his bowels have gone out with his sickness, and he dies of severe diseases, and his people have not made for him a burning like the burning of his fathers.
Le ƒe eve megbe la, eƒe dɔkaviwo do go eye wòku le vevesese geɖe me. Womewɔ kɔnu siwo wowɔna na fiawo ne wòku la nɛ o.
20 He was a son of thirty-two [years] in his reigning, and he has reigned eight years in Jerusalem, and he goes without desire, and they bury him in the City of David, and not in the graves of the kings.
Exɔ ƒe blaetɔ̃-vɔ-eve esi wòdze fiaɖuɖu gɔme eye wòɖu fia ƒe enyi le Yerusalem. Esi wòku la, womefae o, woɖii ɖe Yerusalem gake menye ɖe fiawo ƒe ameɖibɔ me o.
