2 Chronicles 19

1 And Jehoshaphat king of Judah turns back to his house in peace, to Jerusalem,

യെഹൂദാരാജാവായ യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് യെരൂശലേമിൽ തന്റെ അരമനയിലേക്കു സമാധാനത്തോടെ മടങ്ങിവന്നപ്പോൾ

2 and Jehu son of Hanani the seer goes out to his presence and says to King Jehoshaphat, “Do you love to give help to the wicked and to those hating YHWH? And for this, wrath [is] against you from before YHWH,

ഹനാനിയുടെ മകനായ യേഹൂദർശകൻ അവനെ എതിരേറ്റുചെന്നു യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് രാജാവിനോടു: ദുഷ്ടന്നു സഹായം ചെയ്യുന്നതു വിഹിതമോ? യഹോവയെ പകെക്കുന്നവരോടു നീ സ്നേഹം കാണിക്കുന്നുവോ അതുകൊണ്ടു യഹോവയിങ്കൽനിന്നു കോപം നിന്റെമേൽ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു.

3 but good things have been found with you, for you have put away the Asheroth out of the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God.”

എങ്കിലും നീ അശേരാപ്രതിഷ്ഠകളെ നീക്കിക്കളകയും ദൈവത്തെ അന്വേഷിപ്പാൻ മനസ്സുവെക്കയും ചെയ്തതിനാൽ നന്മയും നിന്നിൽ കണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നു പറഞ്ഞു.

4 And Jehoshaphat dwells in Jerusalem, and he turns back and goes out among the people from Beer-Sheba to the hill-country of Ephraim, and brings them back to YHWH, God of their fathers.

യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് യെരൂശലേമിൽ പാർത്തു, ബേർ-ശേബമുതൽ എഫ്രയീംമലനാടുവരെ ജനത്തിന്റെ ഇടയിൽ വീണ്ടും സഞ്ചരിച്ചു അവരെ തങ്ങളുടെ പിതാക്കന്മാരുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയിങ്കലേക്കു തിരിച്ചുവരുത്തി.

5 And he establishes judges in the land, in all the fortified cities of Judah, for every city,

അവൻ ദേശത്തു പട്ടണംതോറും യെഹൂദയിലെ ഉറപ്പുള്ള പട്ടണങ്ങളിലൊക്കെയും ന്യായാധിപന്മാരെ നിയമിച്ചു:

6 and says to the ones judging, “See what you are doing—for you do not judge for man, but for YHWH, who [is] with you in the matter of judgment;

നിങ്ങൾ ചെയ്യുന്നതു സൂക്ഷിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ; നിങ്ങൾ മനുഷ്യർക്കല്ല, യഹോവെക്കു വേണ്ടിയത്രേ ന്യായപാലനം ചെയ്യുന്നതു; ന്യായപാലനത്തിൽ അവൻ നിങ്ങളോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കുന്നു.

7 and now, let fear of YHWH be on you, observe and do, for there is not perverseness with our God YHWH, and favoring by appearance, and taking of a bribe.”

ആകയാൽ യഹോവാഭയം നിങ്ങളിൽ ഇരിക്കട്ടെ; സൂക്ഷിച്ചു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ; നമ്മുടെ ദൈവമായ യഹോവയുടെ പക്കൽ അന്യായവും മുഖപക്ഷവും കൈക്കൂലി വാങ്ങുന്നതും ഇല്ലല്ലോ.

8 And also in Jerusalem, Jehoshaphat has appointed of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the heads of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of YHWH, and for strife; and they return to Jerusalem,

യെരൂശലേമിലും യെഹോശാഫാത്ത് ലേവ്യരിലും പുരോഹിതന്മാരിലും യിസ്രായേലിന്റെ പിതൃഭവനത്തലവന്മാരിലും ചിലരെ യഹോവയുടെ ന്യായപാലനത്തിന്നായിട്ടും വ്യവഹാരം തീക്കേണ്ടതിന്നായിട്ടും നിയമിച്ചു;

9 and he lays a charge on them, saying, “Thus do you do in the fear of YHWH, in faithfulness, and with a perfect heart,

അവർ യെരൂശലേമിൽ മടങ്ങിവന്നു. അവൻ അവരോടു കല്പിച്ചതു എന്തെന്നാൽ: നിങ്ങൾ യഹോവാഭയത്തോടും വിശ്വസ്തതയോടും ഏകാഗ്രഹൃദയത്തോടും കൂടെ ഇങ്ങനെ പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൊള്ളേണം.

10 and any strife that comes to you of your brothers who are dwelling in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and command, statutes, and judgments, then you have warned them and they do not become guilty before YHWH, and wrath has not been on you and on your brothers; thus do you do, and you are not guilty.

അതതു പട്ടണത്തിൽ പാർക്കുന്ന നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാർ വിവിധരക്തപാതകങ്ങളെയും ന്യായപ്രമാണത്തെയും കല്പനയെയും ചട്ടങ്ങളെയും വിധികളെയും സംബന്ധിച്ചു ഏതൊരു വ്യവഹാരവും നിങ്ങളുടെ മുമ്പാകെ കൊണ്ടുവന്നാൽ, അവർ യഹോവയോടു അകൃത്യം ചെയ്തിട്ടു നിങ്ങളുടെമേലും നിങ്ങളുടെ സഹോദരന്മാരുടെമേലും ക്രോധം വരാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു നിങ്ങൾ അവർക്കു ബുദ്ധിയുപദേശിച്ചുകൊടുക്കേണം; നിങ്ങൾ കുറ്റക്കാരാകാതിരിക്കേണ്ടതിന്നു അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്തുകൊൾവിൻ.

11 And behold, Amariah the head priest [is] over you for every matter of YHWH, and Zebadiah son of Ishmael, the leader of the house of Judah, [is] for every matter of the king, and the Levites [are] officers before you; be strong and do, and YHWH is with the good.”

ഇതാ, മഹാപുരോഹിതനായ അമര്യാവു യഹോവയുടെ എല്ലാകാര്യത്തിലും യെഹൂദാഗൃഹത്തിന്റെ പ്രഭുവായ യിശ്മായേലിന്റെ മകൻ സെബദ്യാവു രാജാവിന്റെ എല്ലാകാര്യത്തിലും നിങ്ങൾക്കു തലവന്മാരായിരിക്കുന്നു; ലേവ്യരും ഉദ്യോഗസ്ഥന്മാരായി നിങ്ങൾക്കു ഉണ്ടു. ധൈര്യപ്പെട്ടു പ്രവർത്തിച്ചുകൊൾവിൻ; യഹോവ നല്ലവരോടുകൂടെ ഇരിക്കും.
