< 2 Chronicles 19 >

1 And Jehoshaphat king of Judah turns back to his house in peace, to Jerusalem,
Hĩndĩ ĩrĩa Jehoshafatu mũthamaki wa Juda aacookire Jerusalemu nyũmba-inĩ yake ya ũthamaki na thayũ-rĩ,
2 and Jehu son of Hanani the seer goes out to his presence and says to King Jehoshaphat, “Do you love to give help to the wicked and to those hating YHWH? And for this, wrath [is] against you from before YHWH,
Jehu ũrĩa muoni-maũndũ, mũrũ wa Hanani, agĩthiĩ akamũtũnge nake akĩũria mũthamaki atĩrĩ, “Nĩwagĩrĩirwo gũteithia mũndũ ũrĩa mwaganu na wende arĩa mathũire Jehova? Nĩ ũndũ wa ũguo-rĩ, mangʼũrĩ ma Jehova marĩ igũrũ rĩaku.
3 but good things have been found with you, for you have put away the Asheroth out of the land, and have prepared your heart to seek God.”
No rĩrĩ, harĩ na maũndũ manini mega thĩinĩ waku, nĩgũkorwo nĩweheretie itugĩ cia Ashera bũrũri-inĩ, na ũkerekeria ngoro yaku kũrongooria Ngai.”
4 And Jehoshaphat dwells in Jerusalem, and he turns back and goes out among the people from Beer-Sheba to the hill-country of Ephraim, and brings them back to YHWH, God of their fathers.
Jehoshafatu agĩtũũra Jerusalemu, agĩcooka akiumagara rĩngĩ, agĩthiĩ kũrĩ andũ a kuuma Birishiba kũu bũrũri wa irĩma wa Efiraimu, na akĩmacookia kũrĩ Jehova, Ngai wa maithe mao.
5 And he establishes judges in the land, in all the fortified cities of Judah, for every city,

6 and says to the ones judging, “See what you are doing—for you do not judge for man, but for YHWH, who [is] with you in the matter of judgment;
Akĩmeera atĩrĩ, “Mwĩciiragiei wega ũrĩa mũgwĩka, tondũ rĩrĩ, mũtirĩtuithanagia ciira nĩ ũndũ wa mũndũ, no makĩria nĩ ũndũ wa Jehova, ũrĩa ũrĩkoragwo na inyuĩ rĩrĩa rĩothe mũrĩtuaga ciira.
7 and now, let fear of YHWH be on you, observe and do, for there is not perverseness with our God YHWH, and favoring by appearance, and taking of a bribe.”
Na rĩrĩ, mwĩtigagĩrei Jehova. Mũtuanagĩre ciira mũmenyereire, nĩ ũndũ Jehova Ngai witũ nĩ wa kĩhooto na ndaroraga maũthĩ na ndahakagwo.”
8 And also in Jerusalem, Jehoshaphat has appointed of the Levites, and of the priests, and of the heads of the fathers of Israel, for the judgment of YHWH, and for strife; and they return to Jerusalem,
O nakuo Jerusalemu-rĩ, Jehoshafatu nĩathuurire Alawii amwe, na athĩnjĩri-Ngai, na atongoria a nyũmba cia andũ a Isiraeli marũgamagĩrĩre watho wa Jehova, na magatuithanagia maciira o na makaniina ngarari. Nao maatũũraga Jerusalemu.
9 and he lays a charge on them, saying, “Thus do you do in the fear of YHWH, in faithfulness, and with a perfect heart,
Nake akĩmahe mawatho maya: “No nginya mũtungate na wĩhokeku na ngoro cianyu ciothe, na mwĩtigagĩre Jehova.
10 and any strife that comes to you of your brothers who are dwelling in their cities, between blood and blood, between law and command, statutes, and judgments, then you have warned them and they do not become guilty before YHWH, and wrath has not been on you and on your brothers; thus do you do, and you are not guilty.
Ciira wothe ũrĩa mũrĩrehagĩrwo kuuma kũrĩ andũ a bũrũri wanyu arĩa matũũraga matũũra-inĩ marĩa manene, arĩ ũiti wa thakame kana maũndũ mangĩ makoniĩ watho, kana maathani, kana kĩrĩra kĩa watho wakwa wa kũrũmĩrĩrwo, kana matuĩro ma ciira, makanagiei matikanehĩrie Jehova; kwaga ũguo marakara make nĩmakamũũkĩrĩra inyuĩ ene na ariũ a thoguo. Ĩkagai ũguo na mũtikehia.
11 And behold, Amariah the head priest [is] over you for every matter of YHWH, and Zebadiah son of Ishmael, the leader of the house of Judah, [is] for every matter of the king, and the Levites [are] officers before you; be strong and do, and YHWH is with the good.”
“Na rĩrĩ, Amaria mũthĩnjĩri-Ngai ũrĩa mũnene nĩwe ũrĩmũroraga maũndũ-inĩ mothe makoniĩ Jehova, nake Zebadia mũrũ wa Ishumaeli, o we mũtongoria wa mũhĩrĩga wa Juda, nĩwe ũrĩmũroraga maũndũ-inĩ mothe makoniĩ mũthamaki, nao Alawii nĩmarĩtungataga ta anene marĩ mbere yanyu. Ĩkagai maũndũ mũrĩ na ũũmĩrĩru, nake Jehova arĩkoragwo hamwe na arĩa marĩĩkaga wega.”
