2 Chronicles 11
1 And Rehoboam comes to Jerusalem, and assembles the house of Judah and Benjamin—one hundred and eighty thousand chosen warriors—to fight with Israel, to bring back the kingdom to Rehoboam.
೧ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮನ್ನು ತಲುಪಿದ ನಂತರ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ಯರಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೂ, ರಾಜ್ಯವನ್ನು ತಿರುಗಿ ತನ್ನ ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವುದಕ್ಕೂ ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಕುಲಗಳಿಂದ ಲಕ್ಷದ ಎಂಭತ್ತು ಸಾವಿರ ಮಂದಿ ಶ್ರೇಷ್ಠ ಸೈನಿಕರನ್ನು ಕೂಡಿಸಿದನು.
2 And a word of YHWH is to Shemaiah, a man of God, saying,
೨ಆಗ ದೇವರ ಮನುಷ್ಯನಾದ ಶೆಮಾಯನಿಗೆ, ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯವು ಉಂಟಾಗಿ ಹೇಳಿದ್ದೇನಂದರೆ,
3 “Speak to Rehoboam son of Solomon king of Judah, and to all Israel in Judah and Benjamin, saying,
೩“ನೀನು ಹೋಗಿ ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಗನೂ, ಯೆಹೂದದ ಅರಸನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೂ ಯೆಹೂದದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಕುಲಗಳ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರೆಲ್ಲರಿಗೂ,
4 Thus said YHWH: You do not go up nor fight with your brothers! Let each return to his house, for this thing has been from Me”; and they hear the words of YHWH, and turn back from going against Jeroboam.
೪ಯೆಹೋವನು ಇಂತೆನ್ನುತ್ತಾನೆ, ‘ನೀವು ನಿಮ್ಮ ಸಹೋದರರೊಡನೆ ಯುದ್ಧಮಾಡುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಹೋಗಬಾರದು. ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋಗಿರಿ; ಈ ಕಾರ್ಯವು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಂದಾಗಿದೆ ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಬೇಕು’” ಎಂಬ ಯೆಹೋವನ ವಾಕ್ಯವುಂಟಾಗಲು ಅವರು ಯೆಹೋವನ ಮಾತನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನಿಗೆ ವಿರುದ್ಧವಾಗಿ ಯುದ್ಧಕ್ಕೆ ಹೊರಡದೆ ಹಿಂತಿರುಗಿ ಹೋದರು.
5 And Rehoboam dwells in Jerusalem, and builds cities for a bulwark in Judah,
೫ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿನಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸವಾಗಿದ್ದು ಯೆಹೂದ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆಗಾಗಿ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳನ್ನು ಕಟ್ಟಿಸಿದನು.
6 indeed, he builds Beth-Lehem, and Etam, and Tekoa,
೬ಆ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಯಾವುವೆಂದರೆ: ಬೇತ್ಲೆಹೇಮ್, ಏತಾಮ್, ತೆಕೋವ,
7 and Beth-Zur, and Shocho, and Adullam,
೭ಬೇತ್ಚೂರ್, ಸೋಕೋ, ಅದುಲ್ಲಾಮ್,
8 and Gath, and Mareshah, and Ziph,
೮ಗತ್ ಊರು, ಮಾರೇಷ, ಜೀಫ್
9 and Adoraim, and Lachish, and Azekah,
೯ಅದೋರೈಮ್, ಲಾಕೀಷ್, ಅಜೇಕ,
10 and Zorah, and Aijalon, and Hebron, that [are] in Judah and in Benjamin, cities of bulwarks.
೧೦ಚೊರ್ಗ, ಅಯ್ಯಾಲೋನ್, ಹೆಬ್ರೋನ್. ಕೋಟೆಕೊತ್ತಲುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಈ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳು ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಾಗಿದ್ದವು.
11 And he strengthens the bulwarks, and puts leaders in them, and treasures of food, and oil, and wine,
೧೧ಅವನು ಈ ಕೋಟೆಗಳನ್ನು ಬಲಪಡಿಸಿ, ನಾಯಕರ ವಶಕ್ಕೆ ಕೊಟ್ಟು, ಪ್ರತಿ ಒಂದರಲ್ಲಿ ಆಹಾರಪದಾರ್ಥ, ಎಣ್ಣೆ, ದ್ರಾಕ್ಷಾರಸವನ್ನು ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಟ್ಟನು. ಗುರಾಣಿ ಬರ್ಜಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿಟ್ಟನು.
12 and in each and every city [he puts] bucklers and spears, and strengthens them very greatly; and he has Judah and Benjamin.
೧೨ಪ್ರತಿಯೊಂದು ಪಟ್ಟಣದಲ್ಲಿ ಗುರಾಣಿ ಬರ್ಜಿಗಳನ್ನೂ ಸಂಗ್ರಹಿಸಿ, ಅವುಗಳನ್ನು ಮತ್ತಷ್ಟು ಭದ್ರಪಡಿಸಿದನು. ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಕುಲಗಳು ಅವನ ಸ್ವಾಧೀನದಲ್ಲಿದ್ದವು.
13 And the priests and the Levites that [are] in all Israel have stationed themselves by him, out of all their border,
೧೩ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ಪ್ರಾಂತ್ಯಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಯಾಜಕರೂ ಮತ್ತು ಲೇವಿಯರೂ ಅವನೊಡನೆ ಬಂದು ಸೇರಿಕೊಂಡರು.
14 for the Levites have left their outskirts and their possession, and they come to Judah and to Jerusalem, for Jeroboam and his sons have cast them off from acting as priests for YHWH,
೧೪ಲೇವಿಯರು ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಯಾಜಕ ಸೇವೆ ಮಾಡದಂತೆ ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನೂ ಮತ್ತು ಅವನ ಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಅವರನ್ನು ಬಹಿಷ್ಕರಿಸಿದ್ದರಿಂದ ಲೇವಿಯರು ತಮ್ಮ ಹುಲ್ಲುಗಾವಲುಗಳಿದ್ದ ತಮ್ಮ ಆಸ್ತಿಗಳನ್ನು ಬಿಟ್ಟು ಯೆಹೂದಕ್ಕೂ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೂ ಬಂದರು.
15 and he establishes for himself priests for high places, and for goat [idols] and for calf [idols] that he made.
೧೫ಯಾರೊಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತಾನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿದ ಪೂಜಾ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಹಾಗೂ ಹೋರಿಕುರಿಗಳ ಮೂರ್ತಿ ಪೂಜೆಗಳಿಗಾಗಿ ಬೇರೆ ಪೂಜಾರಿಗಳನ್ನು ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.
16 And after them, out of all the tribes of Israel, those giving their heart to seek YHWH, God of Israel, have come to Jerusalem to sacrifice to YHWH, God of their father.
೧೬ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲರ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಕುಲಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಇಸ್ರಾಯೇಲ್ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನ ದರ್ಶನವನ್ನು ಬಯಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಪೂರ್ವಿಕರ ದೇವರಾದ ಯೆಹೋವನಿಗೆ ಯಜ್ಞವನ್ನರ್ಪಿಸುವುದಕ್ಕಾಗಿ ಆ ಲೇವಿಯರನ್ನು ಹಿಂಬಾಲಿಸಿ ಯೆರೂಸಲೇಮಿಗೆ ಬಂದರು.
17 And they strengthen the kingdom of Judah, and strengthen Rehoboam son of Solomon, for three years, because they walked in the way of David and Solomon for three years.
೧೭ಇವರೆಲ್ಲರೂ ಮೊದಲನೆಯ ಮೂರು ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ದಾವೀದ ಹಾಗು ಸೊಲೊಮೋನರ ಮಾರ್ಗದಲ್ಲೇ ನಡೆಯುತ್ತಿದ್ದರು. ಅಂತೆಯೇ ಯೆಹೂದ ರಾಜ್ಯವು ಆ ವರ್ಷಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ಅಭಿವೃದ್ಧಿಯಾಗಿ, ಸೊಲೊಮೋನನ ಮಗನಾದ ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಬಲಗೊಂಡನು.
18 And Rehoboam takes a wife for himself, Mahalath, child of Jerimoth son of David, [and of] Abigail daughter of Eliab son of Jesse.
೧೮ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ದಾವೀದನ ಮಗನಾದ ಯೆರೀಮೋತನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಮಹ್ಲತ್ತಳನ್ನು, ಇಷಯನ ಮೊಮ್ಮಗಳೂ ಎಲೀಯಾಬನ ಮಗಳೂ ಆದ ಅಬೀಹೈಲಳನ್ನೂ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು.
19 And she bears sons to him: Jeush, and Shamaria, and Zaham.
೧೯ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನಿಂದ ಯೆಗೂಷ್, ಶೆಮರ್ಯ, ಜಾಹಮ್ ಎಂಬ ಗಂಡು ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು.
20 And after her he has taken Maachah daughter of Absalom, and she bears to him Abijah, and Attai, and Ziza, and Shelomith.
೨೦ಅನಂತರ ಅವನು ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಮಾಕ ಎಂಬಾಕೆಯನ್ನು ಮದುವೆಮಾಡಿಕೊಂಡನು; ಆಕೆಯು ಅವನಿಂದ ಅಬೀಯ, ಅತ್ತೈ, ಜೀಜ, ಶೆಲೋಮೀತ್ ಎಂಬುವರನ್ನು ಹೆತ್ತಳು.
21 And Rehoboam loves Maachah daughter of Absalom above all his wives and his concubines—for he has taken eighteen wives and sixty concubines—and he begets twenty-eight sons and sixty daughters.
೨೧ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ತನ್ನ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಪತ್ನಿಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ, ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯರಲ್ಲಿಯೂ ಅಬ್ಷಾಲೋಮನ ಮಗಳಾದ ಮಾಕಳನ್ನು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿ ಪ್ರೀತಿಸುತ್ತಿದ್ದನು. ಅವನಿಗೆ ಹದಿನೆಂಟು ಮಂದಿ ಪತ್ನಿಯರೂ, ಅರುವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಉಪಪತ್ನಿಯರೂ ಇದ್ದರು. ಇವರಲ್ಲಿ ಅವನಿಗೆ ಇಪ್ಪತ್ತೆಂಟು ಮಂದಿ ಗಂಡುಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಅರುವತ್ತು ಮಂದಿ ಹೆಣ್ಣುಮಕ್ಕಳೂ ಹುಟ್ಟಿದರು.
22 And Rehoboam appoints Abijah son of Maachah for head, for leader among his brothers, for to cause him to reign.
೨೨ರೆಹಬ್ಬಾಮನು ಮಾಕಳ ಮಗನಾದ ಅಬೀಯನನ್ನು ಅರಸನನ್ನಾಗಿ ಮಾಡಬೇಕೆಂದು ಅವನನ್ನು ಅವನ ಅಣ್ಣ ತಮ್ಮಂದಿರಲ್ಲಿ ಪ್ರಧಾನನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ಪ್ರಭುವನ್ನಾಗಿಯೂ ನೇಮಿಸಿದನು.
23 And he has understanding, and disperses from all his sons to all lands of Judah and Benjamin, to all cities of the bulwarks, and gives provision in abundance to them; and he asks for a multitude of wives [for them].
೨೩ತನ್ನ ಉಳಿದ ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಮಕ್ಕಳನ್ನು ಜಾಣತನದಿಂದ ವಿಂಗಡಿಸಿ, ಯೆಹೂದ ಬೆನ್ಯಾಮೀನ್ ಪ್ರದೇಶಗಳಲ್ಲಿದ್ದ ಕೋಟೆಕೊತ್ತಲುಗಳುಳ್ಳ ಆಯಾ ಪಟ್ಟಣಗಳಲ್ಲಿರಿಸಿ, ಅವರಿಗೆ ಬೇಕಾದಷ್ಟು ಆಹಾರವನ್ನು ಏರ್ಪಡಿಸಿ, ಅನೇಕ ಮಂದಿ ಹೆಂಡತಿಯರನ್ನೂ ಗೊತ್ತು ಮಾಡಿಕೊಟ್ಟನು.
