< 2 Chronicles 10 >
1 And Rehoboam goes to Shechem, for all of Israel has come [to] Shechem to cause him to reign.
Napan ni Rehoboam idiay Sikem, gapu ta napan dagiti adu a tattao ti Israel idiay Sikem tapno isaadda isuna nga ari.
2 And it comes to pass, at Jeroboam son of Nebat—who [is] in Egypt because he has fled from the face of Solomon the king—hearing, that Jeroboam turns back out of Egypt;
Ket napasamak a nadamag daytoy ni Jeroboam nga anak ni Nebat (ta adda isuna idiay Egipto, a nagtarayanna manipud kenni Ari Solomon; ngem nagsubli ni Jeroboam manipud iti Egipto).
3 and they send and call for him, and Jeroboam comes in, and all of Israel, and they speak to Rehoboam, saying,
Isu a nangibaonda iti mapan mangayab kenkuana, ket immay ni Jeroboam ken dagiti amin a tattao ti Israel; kinasaritada ni Rehoboam ket kinunada,
4 “Your father made our yoke sharp, and now, make light [some] of the sharp service of your father, and [some] of his heavy yoke that he put on us, and we serve you.”
“Pinadagsen ti amam ti sangolmi. Ita ngarud, palakaem ti narigat nga impatrabaho ti amam, ken palag-anem ti nadagsen a sangol nga impabaklayna kadakami, ket agserbikaminto kenka.”
5 And he says to them, “Yet three days—then return to me”; and the people go.
Kinuna ni Rehoboam kadakuada, “Umaykayo manen kaniak kalpasan iti tallo nga aldaw.” Isu a pimmanaw dagiti tattao.
6 And King Rehoboam consults with the aged men who have been standing before his father Solomon in his being alive, saying, “How are you counseling to answer this people?”
Nakiuman ni Ari Rehoboam kadagiti lallakay a nagserbi idi a kas mammagbaga ken ni Solomon nga amana idi sibibiag pay laeng isuna; kinunana, “Ania ti maibalakadyo kaniak nga isungbatko kadagitoy a tattao?”
7 And they speak to him, saying, “If you become good to this people, and have been pleased with them, and spoken to them good words, then they have been servants to you [for] all the days.”
Kinasaoda isuna ket kinunada, “No naimbagka kadagitoy a tattao ken ay-ayoem ida, ken agsaoka kadagiti nasasayaat kadakuada, ket adipenmonto ida a kanayon.”
8 And he forsakes the counsel of the aged men that they counseled him, and consults with the boys who have grown up with him, those standing before him,
Ngem saan nga inkaskaso ni Rehoboam ti pammagbaga dagiti lallakay kenkuana, ket nakiuman isuna kadagiti agtutubo a lallaki a kasadaranna a dimmakkel, a mammagbaga itan kenkuana.
9 and he says to them, “What are you counseling, and we answer this people that have spoken to me, saying, Make light [some] of the yoke that your father put on us?”
Kinunana kadakuada, “Ania ti maibalakadyo kaniak, tapno masungbatantayo dagiti tattao a nangibaga kaniak a kinunada, 'Palag-anem ti sangol nga impabaklay ti amam kadakami'?”
10 And the boys who have grown up with him speak with him, saying, “Thus you say to the people who have spoken to you, saying, Your father made our yoke heavy, and you, make light [some] of our yoke; thus you say to them, My little finger is thicker than the loins of my father;
Nakisarita kenni Rehoboam dagiti agtutubo a lallaki a kasadaranna a dimmakkel a kunada, “Kasaritam dagiti tattao a nangibaga kenka a pinadagsen ni Solomon nga amam dagiti sangolda ket masapul a palag-anem dagitoy. Rumbeng nga ibagam kadakuada, 'Napuspuskol ti kikitko ngem iti siket ti amak.
11 and now, my father laid a heavy yoke on you, and I add to your yoke; my father disciplined you with whips, and I—with scorpions.”
Isu nga ita, uray no pinabaklaynakayo ti amak iti nadagsen a sangol, padagsenekto pay ti sangolyo. Dinusanakayo ti amak babaen kadagiti baut, ngem dusaenkayo babaen kadagiti kasla kadagiti manggagama.”'
12 And Jeroboam comes in, and all the people, to Rehoboam on the third day, as the king spoke, saying, “Return to me on the third day.”
Napan ngarud ni Jeroboam ken dagiti adu a tattao kenni Rehoboam iti maikatlo nga aldaw, a kas imbilin ti ari idi kinunana, “Agsublikayo kaniak inton maikatlo nga aldaw.”
13 And the king answers them sharply, and King Rehoboam forsakes the counsel of the aged men,
Nagubsang ti panangsungbat ti ari kadakuada; saan nga inkaskaso ni Ari Rehoboam ti balakad dagiti lallakay.
14 and speaks to them according to the counsel of the boys, saying, “My father made your yoke heavy, and I add to it; my father disciplined you with whips, and I—with scorpions.”
Nagsao isuna kadakuada a kas iti balakad dagiti agtutubo a lallaki; kinunana, “Padagsenekto pay dagiti sangolyo; nayonakto pay dagitoy. Dinusanakayo ti amak babaen kadagiti baut, ngem dusaenkayonto babaen kadagiti kasla kadagiti manggagama.”
15 And the king has not listened to the people, for the revolution has been from God, for the sake of YHWH’s establishing His word that He spoke by the hand of Abijah the Shilonite to Jeroboam son of Nebat.
Saan ngarud nga impangag ti ari dagiti tattao; ta pagayatan ti Dios a kastoy ti mapasamak, tapno maipatungpal ni Yahweh ti saona nga insaona babaen kenni Ahija a Silonita kenni Jeroboam a putot ni Nebat.
16 And all Israel have seen that the king has not listened to them, and the people send back [word to] the king, saying, “What portion do we have in David? Indeed, there is no inheritance in a son of Jesse; [go], each to your tents, O Israel! Now see your house, O David!” And all [in] Israel go to their tents.
Idi nabigbig dagiti tattao ti Israel a saan ida nga impangag ti ari, simmungbat dagiti tattao kenkuana ket kinunada, “Ania ti bingaymi kenni David? Awan tawidmi iti anak ni Jesse! Rumbeng nga agsubli ti tunggal maysa kadakayo iti toldana, Israel. Ita, kitaem ti bukodmo a balay, David.” Nagsubli ngarud dagiti tattao ti Israel kadagiti toldada.
17 As for the sons of Israel who are dwelling in the cities of Judah—Rehoboam reigns over them.
Ngem no maipapan kadagiti tattao ti Israel nga agnanaed kadagiti siudad ti Juda, inturayan ida ni Rehoboam.
18 And King Rehoboam sends Hadoram, who [is] over the tribute, and the sons of Israel cast stones at him, and he dies; and King Rehoboam has strengthened himself to go up into a chariot to flee to Jerusalem;
Kalpasanna, imbaon ni Ari Rehoboam ni Adoniram, a mangidadaulo kadagiti inkapilitan nga agtrabaho, ngem binato isuna dagiti tattao ti Israel agingga a natay. Dagus a naglibas ni Ari Rehoboam babaen iti karuahena ket napan idiay Jerusalem.
19 and Israel transgresses against the house of David to this day.
Isu a nagrebelde dagiti tattao ti Israel a maibusor iti balay ni David agingga iti daytoy nga aldaw.
