2 Chronicles 1
1 And Solomon son of David strengthens himself over his kingdom, and his God YHWH [is] with him, and makes him exceedingly great.
Y Salomón, el hijo de David, se hizo fuerte en su reino, y el Señor su Dios estaba con él, y lo hizo muy poderoso.
2 And Solomon says to all Israel, to heads of the thousands, and of the hundreds, and to the ones judging, and to every honorable one of all Israel, heads of the fathers,
Y Salomón envió un mensaje a todo Israel, a los capitanes de miles y centenares, a los jueces y a todos los jefes de todo Israel, jefes de sus familias.
3 and they go—Solomon, and all the assembly with him—to the high place that [is] in Gibeon, for God’s Tent of Meeting has been there, that Moses, servant of YHWH, made in the wilderness,
Entonces Salomón, y todos los hombres de Israel con él, fueron al lugar alto en Gabaón, porque la tienda de la reunión con Dios, que Moisés, el siervo del Señor, había hecho en el desierto estaba ahí.
4 but David had the Ark of God brought up from Kirjath-Jearim to the [place] David had prepared for it, for he stretched out a tent for it in Jerusalem;
Pero él cofre del pacto de Dios había sido movido por David de Quiriat-jearim al lugar que él había preparado para ella, porque él había puesto una tienda de campaña en Jerusalén.
5 and the altar of bronze that Bezaleel son of Uri, son of Hur made, he put before the Dwelling Place of YHWH; and Solomon and the assembly seek Him [there].
Y el altar de bronce que Bezaleel, el hijo de Uri, el hijo de Hur, había hecho, estaba allí delante de la Tienda del Señor; Y Salomón y todo el pueblo fueron a adorar allí.
6 And Solomon goes up there, on the altar of bronze, before YHWH, that [is] at the Tent of Meeting, and causes one thousand burnt-offerings to ascend on it.
Y Salomón subió al altar de bronce ante el Señor en la Tienda de la reunión, ofreciendo en él mil ofrendas quemadas.
7 In that night God has appeared to Solomon and says to him, “Ask—what do I give to you?”
Esa noche, Dios vino a Salomón en una visión y le dijo: pídeme lo que quieras.
8 And Solomon says to God, “You have done great kindness with my father David, and have caused me to reign in his stead.
Y dijo Salomón a Dios: Grande fue tu misericordia para con mi padre David, y me hiciste rey en su lugar.
9 Now, O YHWH God, Your word with my father David is steadfast, for You have caused me to reign over a people [as] numerous as the dust of the earth;
Ahora, oh Señor Dios, cumple tu palabra a David, mi padre; porque me has hecho rey sobre un pueblo como el polvo de la tierra en número.
10 now, give wisdom and knowledge to me, and I go out before this people, and I come in, for who judges this—Your great people?”
Dame ahora sabiduría y conocimiento, para que pueda salir y entrar delante de este pueblo: porque ¿quién puede ser el juez de este gran pueblo tuyo?
11 And God says to Solomon, “Because that this has been with your heart, and you have not asked for riches, wealth, and honor, and the life of those hating you, and also have not asked for many days, and ask for wisdom and knowledge for yourself, so that you judge My people over which I have caused you to reign—
Y dijo Dios a Salomón: Porque esto estaba en tu corazón, y no pediste dinero, propiedad, ni honor, ni la destrucción de tus enemigos, ni la larga vida; pero has pedido tu propia sabiduría y conocimiento, para que puedas ser el juez de mi pueblo sobre quien te he hecho rey,
12 the wisdom and the knowledge is given to you, and riches and wealth and honor I [also] give to you, that there has not been so to the kings who [are] before you, and after you it is not so.”
Te es dada la sabiduría y el conocimiento; y te daré riqueza y honor, como ningún rey ha tenido antes de ti o nunca tendrá después de ti.
13 And Solomon comes in to Jerusalem [from] the high place that [is] in Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, and reigns over Israel,
Entonces Salomón regresó del lugar alto en Gabaón, después de haber visitado la tienda de reunión, a Jerusalén; y él fue rey sobre Israel.
14 and Solomon gathers chariots and horsemen, and he has one thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, and he places them in the cities of the chariots, and with the king in Jerusalem.
Y Salomón se juntó con carros de guerra y jinetes; tenía mil cuatrocientos carruajes y doce mil jinetes, que él guardaba, algunos en los cuarteles de carruajes y otros con el rey en Jerusalén.
15 And the king makes the silver and the gold in Jerusalem as stones, and the cedars he made as sycamores that [are] in the low country, for abundance.
Y el rey hizo plata y oro tan comunes como las piedras en Jerusalén, y el cedro como los sicómoros de las tierras bajas en número.
16 And the source of the horses that [are] for Solomon [is] from Egypt and from Keva; merchants of the king take [them] from Keva at a price,
E importaban los caballos y lienzo fino de Egipto; los comerciantes del rey los obtuvieron a un precio.
17 and they come up, and bring out a chariot from Egypt for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for one hundred and fifty, and so for all the kings of the Hittites and the kings of Aram—they bring [them] out by their hand.
Se podría obtener un carro de guerra de Egipto por seiscientos siclos de plata, y un caballo por ciento cincuenta: los obtuvieron por medio de los comerciantes de Salomón, para todos los reyes de los hititas y los reyes sirios.
