< 1 Timothy 1 >
1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ, according to a command of God our Savior, and of the Lord Jesus Christ our hope,
Me Paulo, Yesu Kristo somafo nam Onyankopɔn ne yɛn Agyenkwa Kristo Yesu a ɔyɛ yɛn anidaso no hyɛ so kyerɛw,
2 to Timotheus—genuine child in faith: Grace, kindness, peace, from God our Father and Christ Jesus our Lord!
De rekɔma Timoteo a ɔyɛ me ba kann wɔ gyidi mu no nkyɛn: Agya Onyankopɔn ne Kristo Yesu a ɔyɛ yɛn Awurade no dom, mmɔborɔhunu ne asomdwoe nka mo.
3 According as I exhorted you to remain in Ephesus—I going on to Macedonia—that you might charge certain [ones] not to teach any other thing,
Mepɛ sɛ motena Efeso sɛnea merekɔ Makedonia no meka kyerɛɛ mo no. Nnipa bi wɔ hɔ a wɔma atoro nkyerɛkyerɛ a ɛsɛ sɛ mohyɛ wɔn ma wogyae.
4 nor to give heed to fables and endless genealogies, that cause questions rather than [the] stewardship of God which [is] in faith.
Momma wonnyae adomankomasɛm ne wɔn nenanom din bebrebe a wɔbobɔ no, efisɛ saa nneyɛe no de akyinnye ba. Ɛmmoa Onyankopɔn nhyehyɛe a wɔnam gyidi nko so na wuhu no.
5 And the end of the charge is love out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of unhypocritical faith,
Saa ɔhyɛ yi botae ara ne sɛ ɛbɛkanyan ɔdɔ a efi koma pa, adwene mu fann ne gyidi pa mu.
6 from which certain [men], having swerved, turned aside to vain discourse,
Nnipa bi atwe wɔn ho afi ɔkwan pa no so de wɔn ho ama akyinnye hunu.
7 willing to be teachers of law, not understanding either the things they say, nor concerning what they confidently assert,
Wɔpɛ sɛ wɔyɛ Onyankopɔn mmara no akyerɛkyerɛfo nanso wɔn ara wɔn nsɛm a wɔka no wɔnte ase. Saa ara nso na wonni gyidi wɔ nsɛm a wɔka no mu.
8 and we have known that the Law [is] good, if anyone may use it lawfully;
Yenim sɛ, sɛ wɔnam mmara kwan so de Mmara no di dwuma a eye.
9 having known this, that law is not set for a righteous man, but for lawless and insubordinate persons, ungodly and sinners, impious and profane, murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, manslayers,
Ɛsɛ sɛ yɛkae hu sɛ wɔanyɛ mmara no amma atreneefo na mmom, wɔyɛ maa mmaratofo, nnebɔneyɛfo, wɔn a wonsuro Nyame ne abɔnefo, wɔn a wɔnyɛ kronkron anaa wɔn ho ntew, wɔn a wokum wɔn agyanom ne wɔn nanom, awudifo,
10 whoremongers, homosexuals, enslavers, liars, perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is adverse to sound doctrine,
afideyɛfo, aguamammɔfo, nnipawiafo, atorofo a wɔka nkontomposɛm anaa wɔyɛ biribi a ɛne nokware nkyerɛkyerɛ no bɔ abira no.
11 according to the good news of the glory of the blessed God, with which I was entrusted.
Saa nokware nkyerɛkyerɛ no wɔ Asɛmpa a wɔde ama me sɛ menka ho asɛm nkyerɛ no mu. Ɛyɛ Asɛmpa a efi Onyankopɔn a ɔyɛ onuonyamfo na wɔahyira no no nkyɛn.
12 And I give thanks to Him who enabled me—Christ Jesus our Lord—that He reckoned me steadfast, having put [me] to the ministry,
Meda yɛn Awurade Yesu Kristo a wama me ahoɔden ma midi me dwuma no ase. Meda no ase sɛ wadwene me ho sɛ mefata na wayi me sɛ mensom no.
13 who before was speaking slander, and persecuting, and insulting, but I found kindness, because, being ignorant, I did [it] in unbelief,
Nanso mmere bi a atwam no, na mekasa tia no, taa no, ka nsɛm a ɛmfata fa ne ho. Onyankopɔn ahu me mmɔbɔ na esiane sɛ na minnye nni nti, na minnim nea mereyɛ.
14 and the grace of our Lord exceedingly abounded, with faith and love that [is] in Christ Jesus.
Yɛn Awurade hwiee nʼadom a ɛdɔɔso no guu me so maa me gyidi ne ɔdɔ a esiane Kristo Yesu nti abɛyɛ yɛn de no.
15 The word [is] steadfast, and worthy of all acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners—of whom I am first;
Eyi yɛ nokwasɛm a ɛsɛ sɛ yegye to mu na yegye di koraa sɛ: Kristo Yesu baa wiase begyee nnebɔneyɛfo nkwa. Na meyɛ ɔdebɔneyɛni a odi kan koraa.
16 but because of this I found kindness, that Jesus Christ might first show forth all long-suffering in me, for a pattern of those about to believe on Him to continuous life. (aiōnios )
Nanso esiane saa nti, wahu me mmɔbɔ, sɛnea ɛbɛyɛ a me a meyɛ ɔdebɔneyɛni a odi kan no, Kristo Yesu nam me so bɛda ne boasetɔ a enni awiei no adi akyerɛ wɔn a wobegye no adi no na wɔanya nkwa a enni awiei. (aiōnios )
17 And to the King of the ages, the incorruptible, invisible, only wise God, [is] honor and glory through the ages of the ages! Amen. (aiōn )
Anuonyam ne nidi nka Onyankopɔn daa daa. Ɔno ne mmeresantenhene. Ɔno na wonhu no na onwu da nso. Ɔno nko ara ne Onyankopɔn a nimdeɛ ahyɛ no ma. Amen. (aiōn )
18 I commit to you this charge, child Timotheus, according to the prophecies that went before on you, that you may war in them the good warfare,
Afei me ba Timoteo, mede saa dwumadi a wɔhyɛɛ ho nkɔm fi tete no hyɛ wo nsa. Wugu so reko ɔko pa no, ma saa nsɛm no nyɛ wʼakode,
19 having faith and a good conscience, which some having thrust away, made shipwreck concerning the faith,
na so wo gyidi mu dennen na ma wʼadwene mu nyɛ fann. Nnipa bi ntie wɔn tiboa, nam saayɛ so asɛe wɔn gyidi.
20 of whom are Hymenaeus and Alexander, whom I delivered to Satan, that they might be instructed not to speak evil.
Saa nnipa no bi ne Himeneo ne Aleksandro a mayi wɔn ama Satan sɛ ɔntwe wɔn aso sɛnea wɔrenka abususɛm ntia Onyankopɔn bio.
