< 1 Timothy 6 >
1 As many as are servants under a yoke, let them reckon their own masters worthy of all honor, that evil may not be spoken of the Name of God and the teaching;
Abo bonna abali mu kikoligo ky’obuddu, basaana okussaamu bakama baabwe ekitiibwa, erinnya lya Katonda, awamu n’okuyigiriza kwaffe bireme kuvvoolebwa.
2 and those having believing masters, do not let them slight [them], because they are brothers, but rather let them serve, because they are steadfast and beloved, who are partaking of the benefit. Be teaching and exhorting these things;
Abaddu abalina bakama baabwe abakkiriza tebabanyoomanga, okubanga baganda baabwe, wabula bonna bongere bwongezi okubaweereza, kubanga bakkiriza era baagalwa, era be bayambibwa olw’okuweereza kwabwe okulungi. Bino bibayigirizenga era obibakuutirenga.
3 if anyone be teaching otherwise, and does not consent to sound words—those of our Lord Jesus Christ—and to the teaching according to piety,
Omuntu yenna bw’ayigirizanga mu ngeri endala, nga takkiriziganya na bigambo ebya Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo ebireeta obulamu n’okugobereranga enjigiriza ey’okutya Katonda,
4 he is proud, knowing nothing, but unhealthy about questions and word-striving, out of which come envy, strife, slanders, evil-surmisings,
aba ajjudde okwekuluntaza era aba taliiko ky’ategeera naye aba aguddemu akazoole ak’okubuzaabuza mu buli kintu, n’okuwakana ku buli kigambo n’ekivaamu bwe buggya, n’okuyomba, n’okuvuma, n’okuwaayira,
5 wranglings of men wholly corrupted in mind, and destitute of the truth, supposing the piety to be gain; depart from such;
n’okukaayana. Ebyo bikolebwa abantu abaayonooneka ebirowoozo, abatakyalina mazima, abalowooza ng’okufuna amagoba kwe kutya Katonda.
6 but it is great gain—the piety with contentment;
Weewaawo okutya Katonda kulimu amagoba mangi, omuntu bw’amalibwa mu ekyo ky’alina.
7 for we brought nothing into the world—because neither are we able to carry out anything;
Kubanga tetulina kye twajja nakyo mu nsi, era tetuliiko kye tuliggyamu nga tuvaamu.
8 but having food and raiment—with these we will suffice ourselves;
Naye bwe tuba n’emmere, n’ebyokwambala ebyo bitumalenga.
9 and those intending to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and many desires, foolish and hurtful, that sink men into ruin and destruction,
Abo abaagala okugaggawala bagwa mu kukemebwa ne mu katego ak’okwegomba okw’obusirusiru era okw’akabi, okunnyika abantu mu kubula ne mu kuzikirira.
10 for the love of money is a root of all the evils, which certain [ones] longing for went astray from the faith, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows;
Kubanga okululunkanira ensimbi y’ensibuko y’ebibi byonna, era olw’okululunkana okwo abamu bawabye, ne bava mu kukkiriza, ne beereetera obulumi bungi mu mitima gyabwe.
11 and you, O man of God, flee these things, and pursue righteousness, piety, faith, love, endurance, meekness.
Naye ggwe, omuntu wa Katonda, ddukanga ebintu ebyo, ogobererenga obutuukirivu, n’okutya Katonda, n’okukkiriza, n’okwagala, n’okugumiikiriza, n’obuwombeefu.
12 Be striving the good strife of the faith; be laying hold on the continuous life to which you also were called, and did profess the right profession before many witnesses. (aiōnios )
Lwananga okulwana okulungi okw’okukkiriza, nywezanga obulamu obutaggwaawo bwe wayitirwa, n’oyatula okwatula okulungi mu maaso g’abajulirwa abangi. (aiōnios )
13 I charge you, before God, who is making all things alive, and of Christ Jesus, who testified the right profession before Pontius Pilate,
Nkukuutira mu maaso ga Katonda, awa byonna obulamu, ne mu maaso ga Kristo Yesu eyayatula okwatula okulungi mu maaso ga Pontiyo Piraato,
14 that you keep the command unspotted, unblameable, until the appearing of our Lord Jesus Christ,
okuumenga ekiragiro nga tekiriiko bbala, wadde eky’okunenyezebwa okutuusa ku kulabika kwa Mukama waffe Yesu Kristo,
15 which He will show in His own times—the blessed and only sovereign, the King of the kings and Lord of the lords,
kw’aliraga mu ntuuko zaakwo, aweebwa omukisa era nnannyini buyinza yekka, Kabaka wa bakabaka bonna, era Mukama wa bakama,
16 having immortality alone, dwelling in unapproachable light, whom no one of men saw, nor is able to see, to whom [is] honor and perpetual might! Amen. (aiōnios )
ye yekka atafa era atuula mu kwakaayakana okutasemberekeka, era tewali n’omu yali amulabye, so tewali asobola kumulaba, oyo aweebwe ekitiibwa, n’obuyinza obutaggwaawo, Amiina. (aiōnios )
17 Charge those rich in the present age not to be high-minded, nor to hope in the uncertainty of riches, but in the living God, who is giving to us all things richly for enjoyment— (aiōn )
Okuutirenga abagagga ab’omu mirembe gya kaakano, obuteekuluntaza, wadde okwesiga obugagga kubanga si bwa lubeerera, wabula beesige Katonda atuwa byonna olw’okwesanyusanga, (aiōn )
18 to do good, to be rich in good works, to be ready to impart, willing to communicate,
bakole ebirungi, babe bagagga mu bikolwa ebirungi, nga bagabi, era abaagala okugabana n’abalala.
19 treasuring up to themselves a right foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on [that which is] truly life.
Bwe batyo beeterekere obugagga obw’engeri eyo nga gwe musingi omulungi ogw’ebiseera ebigenda okujja, balyoke banywezenga obulamu bwennyini.
20 O Timotheus, guard the thing entrusted, avoiding the profane vain-words and opposition of the falsely-named knowledge,
Timoseewo, kuumanga kye wateresebwa. Weewalenga ebigambo ebivvoola, era ebitaliimu nsa, n’empaka ez’ebigambo ebiyitibwa eby’amagezi naye nga bya bulimba,
21 which certain [ones] professing—swerved concerning the faith. The grace [is] with you! Amen.
abantu abamu ge balowooza okuba nago, ne basubwa ekigendererwa mu kukkiriza. Ekisa kibeerenga nammwe.
