< 1 Timothy 2 >

1 I exhort, then, first of all, there be made supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, for all men—
Tsono choyamba ndikukupemphani kuti mupempherere anthu onse. Mapemphero anu akhale opemba, opempha, opempherera ena ndi oyamika.
2 for kings, and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all piety and gravity,
Mupempherere mafumu ndi onse aulamuliro, kuti tikhale moyo wamtendere ndi bata, woopa Mulungu ndi oyera mtima.
3 for this [is] right and acceptable before God our Savior,
Izi ndi zabwino ndipo zimakondweretsa Mulungu Mpulumutsi wathu,
4 who wills all men to be saved, and to come to the full knowledge of the truth;
amene amafuna kuti anthu onse apulumutsidwe ndipo kuti adziwe choonadi.
5 for [there is] one God, also one mediator of God and of men—the man Christ Jesus,
Pakuti pali Mulungu mmodzi yekha ndi Mʼkhalapakati mmodzi yekha pakati pa Mulungu ndi anthu, munthu uja Khristu Yesu.
6 who gave Himself [as] a ransom for all—the testimony in its own times—
Iyeyu anadzipereka kukhala dipo lowombolera anthu onse. Umenewu ndi umboni umene waperekedwa mu nthawi yake yoyenera.
7 in regard to which I was set a preacher and apostle—truth I say in Christ, I do not lie—a teacher of nations, in faith and truth.
Nʼchifukwa chake anandisankha kukhala mlaliki ndiponso mtumwi wophunzitsa anthu a mitundu ina mawu achikhulupiriro choona. Sindikunama ayi, ndikunena zoona.
8 I intend, therefore, that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, apart from anger and deliberation;
Choncho ndikufuna kuti paliponse popemphera, amuna azikweza manja awo kwa Mulungu mopanda mkwiyo kapena kukangana.
9 also the women in like manner, in orderly apparel, to adorn themselves with modesty and sobriety, not in braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or clothing of great price,
Ndikufunanso kuti amayi azivala mwaulemu, modzilemekeza ndi moyenera. Adzikongoletse koma osati ndi tsitsi loluka mowonjeza muyeso kapena zokongoletsa zagolide kapena mikanda yamtengowapatali kapena ndi zovala zamtengowapatali.
10 but—which becomes women professing godly piety—through good works.
Koma adzikongoletse ndi ntchito zabwino zoyenera mayi wopembedza Mulungu.
11 Let a woman learn in quietness in all subjection,
Amayi azikhala chete pophunzitsidwa ndi mtima ogonjera kwathunthu.
12 and I do not allow a woman to teach, nor to rule a husband, but to be in quietness,
Ine sindikulola kuti amayi aziphunzitsa kapena kulamulira amuna; koma akhale chete.
13 for Adam was formed first, then Eve,
Pakuti Adamu ndiye anayamba kupangidwa kenaka Hava.
14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman, having been deceived, came into transgression,
Ndipo Adamu si amene ananyengedwa koma mkazi ndiye amene ananyengedwa nachimwa.
15 and she will be saved through the childbearing, if they remain in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety.
Ndipo mkazi adzapulumutsidwa pobereka mwana ngati apitiriza kukhala mʼchikhulupiriro, mʼchikondi ndi mʼkuyera mtima pamodzi ndi kudzichepetsa konse.
