< 1 Timothy 2 >
1 I exhort, then, first of all, there be made supplications, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings, for all men—
Ni mumla mi bre du yi bre ni bre du ndi ba wawu'u nigrie, ti naki ni ndi ba wawu'u.
2 for kings, and all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all piety and gravity,
Don bi tuchu ni bi wa ba jin gbugbulu du sun si ka bei mi sisir Rji ni daraja.
3 for this [is] right and acceptable before God our Savior,
Wai abi da kpe u kpayeim ni shishi rji wa'akpata chuwo.
4 who wills all men to be saved, and to come to the full knowledge of the truth;
Ani sun du ndi ba samu kpa chuwo nakima kuma da toh jaji
5 for [there is] one God, also one mediator of God and of men—the man Christ Jesus,
Irji hi riri i, ni matsakaci riri wa a kri ni tsutsu Rji ni ndi, i ndi kima hi Almasihu Yesu.
6 who gave Himself [as] a ransom for all—the testimony in its own times—
Ano tuma pansa ndi wawu'u, nitu shaida ni ton u didi.
7 in regard to which I was set a preacher and apostle—truth I say in Christ, I do not lie—a teacher of nations, in faith and truth.
Nakima du ki ba dume sun ndi u dub tre ni ndi u ton du. Jaji misi hla ni yu'u, ana cena. me mi hi u tsro malamai attaura 'u' bangaskiya ni janji.
8 I intend, therefore, that men pray in every place, lifting up holy hands, apart from anger and deliberation;
Naki me sun du lilon ko nitse duba bre da zu wo u yeryer hi nishu, duba na tinfu da sen yieu na.
9 also the women in like manner, in orderly apparel, to adorn themselves with modesty and sobriety, not in braided hair, or gold, or pearls, or clothing of great price,
Nikon kima me sun du mba duba ta sur kpei didima wa ani noba daraja ni vu tu, ana iri chantu wa ana bina, ko zinariya ko azurfa baba kpie bi klen gbugbu'a na.
10 but—which becomes women professing godly piety—through good works.
Me son duba sur kpie wa a bi du mba bi hu Rji nitu ndu mba u' didima.
11 Let a woman learn in quietness in all subjection,
Imba duba tsro ni mi vutu da ka tu mba grji ni mi ko gye.
12 and I do not allow a woman to teach, nor to rule a husband, but to be in quietness,
Bana no mba kon duba tsro nda kpa ba lon mba tsir na, naki du ba sun ni vu tu.
13 for Adam was formed first, then Eve,
Ba ti Damu guci ri da ti Hauwa'u.
14 and Adam was not deceived, but the woman, having been deceived, came into transgression,
Ana hi Damu ba qur na, aman ahi iwa ba qur yo ni la tre.
15 and she will be saved through the childbearing, if they remain in faith, and love, and sanctification, with sobriety.
Nakima ani kpa ceto ni tu grji mir, nde ba si zre ni mi bangaskiya, ni son yeryer. ni dri didi
