< 1 Thessalonians 3 >
1 For this reason, enduring no longer, we thought good to be left in Athens alone,
Ce a dawngawh am kami yh thai voel awhtaw, Atheni khaw awh awm aham nep hly soeih hy ti unyng.
2 and sent Timotheus—our brother, and a servant of God, and our fellow-workman in the good news of the Christ—to establish you, and to comfort you concerning your faith,
Khrih awithang leek khynaak benawh Khawsa bi anik bi pyikung, ka mi naa Timote ce cangnaak benawh nangmih tha ak pe aham ingkaw ngaihqepnaak awi ak kqawn na tyi law unyng,
3 that no one be moved in these tribulations, for you have known that we are set for this,
cawh ni u ingawm vemyih khuikhanaak ingkaw ngaihkyinaak a mami peek hly. Vemyihkhqi awh ni kaimih kami law tice ak leek cana sim uhyk ti.
4 for even when we were with you, we said to you beforehand that we are about to suffer tribulation, as it also came to pass, and you have known [it];
Nangmih a venawh ka mi awm awh thekhanaak hu kawng unyng tice nik kqawn pek khqi hawh unyng, ka mik kqawn amyihna awm tang saw nangmih ing sim uhyk ti.
5 because of this also, I, no longer enduring, sent to know your faith, lest he who is tempting tempted you, and our labor might be in vain.
Vawh am ka yh thai voel awh nangmih ak cangnaak ce sim aham thlang tyi law nyng. Ikawp na nu sykzoekkung ing nangmih ce ni syk khqi nawh kaimih a bibinaak ve a hoeina a awm kaw ti kqih nyng.
6 And Timotheus now having come to us from you, and having declared good news to us of your faith and love, and that you always have a good remembrance of us, desiring much to see us, as we also [to see] you,
Tuh, Timote ve nangmih a ven awhkawng law thai nawh nangmih ak cangnaak ingkaw lungnaak awithang leek ce law pyi hy. Kaimih amni hilh khqi nawh kaimih ing nangmih huh aham kami ngaih amyihna nangmih ingawm kaimih huh aham ngaih uhyk ti tice anih ing kqawn law hy.
7 because of this we were comforted, brothers, over you, in all our tribulation and necessity, through your faith,
Cedawngawh, koeinaakhqi, kyinaak ingkaw thekhanaak ami huh awh awm cangnaak nami taak a dawngawh ka ming ngaih qep hy.
8 because now we live, if you may stand fast in the LORD.

9 For what thanks are we able to repay to God for you, for all the joy with which we delight because of you in the presence of our God,
Nangmih ak camawh ni Khawsa haiawh zeelnaak ka mi taak boeih a dawngawh ikawmyihna nu Khawsa venawh zeelnaak awi ka mik kqawn tloep lawt lah voei?
10 exceedingly imploring night and day, that we might see your face, and perfect the things lacking in your faith?
Nangmih ni huk khqi tlaih unyng saw nangmih ak cangnaak ak voet ce dawm a hlai thainaak aham khawmthan khawdai cykcah poepa unyng.
11 And our God and Father Himself, and our Lord Jesus Christ, direct our way to you,
Amah ningnih a Pa Khawsa ingkaw ningnih a Bawipa Jesu ing nangmih a venna ka mi law thainaak aham lam qoek abah law seh.
12 and the LORD cause you to increase and to abound in the love to one another, and to all, even as we also to you,

13 in order to have established your hearts, blameless in sanctification before our God and Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all His holy ones.
